Skopje, North Macedonia 2024. Reminiscing sick days from my past. Agonizing pain from the endless labyrinth of hospital hallways.

Travel
Countries I've visited:
England
Turkey
Greece
Macedonia
Germany
Serbia
Countries I want to visit:
Monaco
Attend an F1 race. My favorite track is Monaco, and it's my favorite driver's home race. This year, he broke the Monaco curse and won one of the most demanding tracks (and his home race). It was a great pleasure to watch it, and I hope that one day I can be there in person.
Peru
I've planned my trip to Peru several times. I'd like to stay in Cusco and make my way to Machu Picchu. If I have the opportunity, I'd love to take the hike up to Machu Picchu.
Denmark
When I read Hygge by Meik Wiking I didn't just want to visit Copenhagen, I wanted to move there. I was consumed by the Danish concept of coziness, candles, cozy food, and bike rides. I tried implementing the concepts of Hygge into my life in Colorado, but I couldn't do it justice. More than anything, I appreciate the practice because it encourages people to find the light in the darkness. Even when the days are cold and dark, Hygge reminds us to find comfort in the sheltered sense of danger.
Brazil
I'm not going to lie, I want to visit Rio de Janeiro because of the movie Rio about the blue parrot. I want to walk the shoreline, make my way up to Cristo Redentor, drink coffee, and experience the Amazon. I would also love to spend New Year's in Rio, where people dress in white and dance from the past to the new present.
Japan
Another one of my travel destinations was inspired by a book. When I was reading Ikigai by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia, I was entranced by the way of lived documented in their writing. I wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms pass and spend time in a small village. Although Tokyo would be an amazing experience, my Japan trip would be dedicated to slowing down and finding wisdom in ways practiced for generations. For this trip, my goal would be to look inward.
Thailand
Ever since I've been little, I've dreamed of seeing the Lanter Festival hosted in Chiang Mang in November. I want to see the night sky fill with starts, rising from the Earth, dancing in the sky as the locals honor the water spirits. While in Thailand, it would also be very cool to see Ayutthaya.
United Arab Emirates
If you are recognizing a pattern for how I choose my dream destinations, then you are correct. One category that is always bringing new inspiration are books. The other? Formula one. Abu Dhabi is another F1 location. I don't like the track as much, but as it's usually the final one for the season, I want to see a race there just to witness the drivers do donuts and destroy their tires. After the race, I would also love to see Dubai. Everyone I've asked about their Dubai travels has told me that it's such an incredible, clean, and orderly place that even the streets smell good. I would be more than happy to go there and make sure that the streets smell as good as I've been told.

APOSTLE PAUL IN ROME -- KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List #Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses Visit https://www.billkochman.com/VerseLists/ to see more. As a matter of clarification, allow me to inform you that it is commonly believed that the Apostle Paul did not personally write all of his Epistles. Due to his poor eyesight -- which may have possibly been a result of the incident on the road to Damascus where the Lord struck down Paul, and left him blind for three days -- Paul was forced to dictate a number of his Epistles to his traveling companions. "After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome." Acts 19:21, KJV "And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome." Acts 23:11, KJV "And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli: Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage. And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him." Acts 28:13-16, KJV "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ . . . So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also." Romans 1:7, 15, KJV "Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. [To the Galatians written from Rome.]" Galatians 6:18, KJV "Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. [To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.]" Ephesians 6:24, KJV "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. [To the Philippians written from Rome, by Epaphroditus.]" Philippians 4:23, KJV "The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. [Written from Rome to Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.]" Colossians 4:18, KJV "But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me." 2 Timothy 1:17, KJV "The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. [The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.]" 2 Timothy 4:22, KJV "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. [Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.]" Philemon 1:25, KJV If you would like more info regarding the origin of these KJV Bible verse lists, go to https://www.billkochman.com/VerseLists/. What's the best sites in Kavala?
Check out the Kavala paragraph in the Macedonia page on my blog, where I list attractions and places of interest!
For those who visit my blog only through the app so far, in the pages in my blog (that can be accessed both through desktop and mobile browser) I try to gather travel information (attractions and other places of interest, short history, what each place is known for) about all regions of Greece. (So far the Cyclades and Sterea Hellas pages are complete but I haven't started yet on Thrace and the Northeastern Aegean islands.)
Some important ones that I missed in my Kavala list are the Tobacco Museum, the Nautical Museum, the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church with the monument of Apostle Paul (Kavala was the first city on European soil that Apostle Paul visited in 49 AD), the Halil Bey Mosque and the Museum of Greek Refugees from Asia Minor. I am going to make these additions to the page now.

Skopje Impressions 2 - Balkans Trip 2021
- My last day in Skopje was super fun! My Macedonian friend Stefan and I went to the Canyon Matka with his motorbike. It was chilly ride but perfect to feel city. Matka is really magical place to see. We were hiking in the trails of canyon, beautiful views and autumn colors in everywhere. Can’t wait to come again in summer, so that I can jump into the water! There was a stone church which is really nice and authentic looking. And also I saw a kayak on the mountain, it was hanging there alone. Weird thing:)
- After Matka visit, I went to the old town (Turkish bazaar) and had a lunch in a restaurant called Turist. It was recommended from a local Turkish boy which I met in a supermarket. I ordered a meatball with cheese and ayran! It was nice to be able to communicate with Turkish in the whole bazaar. It feels like home.
- On my last evening in Skopje, I met with Stefan again. We had a long night ride around the city with car, he was like a tour guide and at the end of the evening we went to the Vodno. There is huge millennial cross with light, and I wanted to see on my next trip so badly. He took me there with a surprise and there was magical city landscape. City lights, full moon and huge cross! After arriving Vodno, we climbed to a tower which was nightmare for me. I felt extremely scared about the height 😅 When we were climbing on stairs of tower, my legs was almost shaking. Thanks to my friend I was able to do such a crazy thing and feel the city more intense. Thats why I really like to hang out with local people of the city. Btw, every tourist goes to Vodno in the during the day, I went there on night so it was special visit!! :) That’s a super nice beginning for my Balkans trip and can’t wait to see other cities!
