I like that rcg acknowledges macdennis as a sort of impossible dream. Dee can’t be an actress, Charlie can’t be with the waitress, and Mac and Dennis can’t be together.

college era macdennis has me in chokehold right now—

mac visiting dennis, getting hammered and making out in shadowy corners of parties. cuz nobody knows them, not really. dennis has his college friends but he’s still the same loser he was in high school but mac still looks at him like he’s godly. it’s all loud music and blurry eyed dancing, sweaty bodies and dennis’ mouth pressed against mac’s neck, mac’s broad hands gripping dennis’ arms like he’s going to dissolve.

falling asleep, limbs tangled in dennis’ sheets, kissing until sleep takes hold. waking up the next day to guilty glances and bruises blooming on mac’s collarbone and dennis’ lips red and kiss-bitten—remnants of another night of debauchery.
