Mac is the current Ninja of Norrisville, and has been for the last five years (redid freshman year three times)

Mac grew up hunting with his family; he’s not afraid of the rough-and-tumble fighting the Ninja has to do and will often attack with his bare hands

His relationship with Hannibal is very tense. They used to be closer at the beginning of high school, but Mac is beginning to let his jealousy get the better of him

The biggest conflict here is that Mac Antfee was not well-liked, but the ninja was. Everything he went on to do was driven by a deep-rooted fear that he would become obsolete without the suit

Hannibal McFist - Junior, 16

Member of the NHS football team and just organized the brand-new NHS Mustache Society. Hannibal is popular and rich and well-liked. Nobody quite understands why he still hangs around Mac but no one says anything either. Mac knows he’s out of place in Hannibal’s social circles

Hannibal knows Mac is the ninja, but doesn’t do much about it. He’s not like Howard - Hannibal doesn’t like to get involved with Ninja Business

Hannibal is head-over-heels for Marci but knows he has no chance with her

Marci Kranksi - Junior, 16

Marci is an Army Brat - her father serves in the military, so she moves states every couple of years

She stayed in Norrisville for only two years (her sophomore and junior years, 1983/84)

Marci is a heartthrob, but she’s very loyal to her out-of-state boyfriend (who goes on to be Bash’s bio father)

Marlene Gatlin - Junior, 17

Mary goes on to be the crooked Mrs. Driscoll, but in high school she was very popular. She’s pretty and funny and loves drama

Mary is high up socially, think cheerleader popular, but prefers the science wing and the nerds that are in it

Her love life is MESSY. Everybody wants Mary Gatlin. She’s the It Girl. Somewhere along the way it became common knowledge that if you wanted to ask her out, you had to get her attention by pulling the fire alarm. We know her type lmaoooo

Mac is in love with her, but of course Mary is more interested in Hannibal (she doesn’t date gingers). This is another point of contention between the boys

Willem Viceroy III - Freshman, 13

Willem - never Will or god forbid William, he’s very insistent about it - is a science prodigy. He’s in the same chemistry class as Hannibal and Mac, which is how they met

Willem doesn’t like Hannibal necessarily, but he’s a nearly impenetrable guard against being bullied. He’s a little bit like the group’s pet freshman and annoying as it is, it keeps him safe

Mort Weinerman - Freshman, 14

Mort is the most loser-est guy on this list. He’s the faceless freshman that wants to be cool

He’s part of the chess club and is very advanced in math. He has a couple band geek acquaintances but no solid friends

Mort knows Willem by name, but Willem doesn’t seem to know Mort. Same with Hannibal, Mary, Marci, and Mac

To be so honest, Morty here has no real tie to their plots. Like generally I think he grew up in a different state because of the accent so this is a Big Exception. But I couldn’t do this and not include him ok🙄

His kimoto is based off the colors of the ninja suit still tying his bond that never left. He doesn’t hate the ninja infact he wants the ninja and him to team up to take over the world as he only cares about himself and past grudges to DESTROY MCFIST! (Good thing for bad purposes) He wants to get back at Hannibal for his eye and making him lose the title of being the ninja (that was his fault btw not Hannibal)

Mac Antfee thinks of Randy as the son he never had as he teaches Randy friendship would only bring him down as past ninjas before him the one closest to you would only cause suffering and heartache (A lesson the nomicon also told Randy but ignored) When Randy refused to be his pupil it was sworn that they would be enemies and he will have the suit back weather the nomicon or Randy will not.

Heidi: Appeals to the masses, so while I thought she wouldn't be super into the going ons of the internet, she's so obsessed with it I think she'd find herself going into rabbit holes. Definitley would have a drama channel on youtube, but any drama there is for chronically online people; if she brought it up IRL, I think ppl would see something wrong with her <3

Theresa: I think all of Der Monster Klub is chronically online to some degree, Theresa's no exception. At the same time, she'd be good at hiding it, mainly because then she'd have people from her school finding out about her tumblr.

Julian: is in the same area, although, I think he would also be surfing tumblr in public.

Levandar: Terminally online, but that's because he more so ego searches and sees what his fans are posting. In turn, he's probably not only seen the deprave stuff his fans would post about himself, but also the other fandoms their in.

Stevens: I think would just be a shitposter. Don't really have a specific niche in mind for him because I think he could go into really any sector of the internet and

Sorcerer: does not have internet access, but I can see the potential, you know? Would send anon hate like it's a living, because when you're trapped under a high school for hundreds of years it probably is. Unrealistic, but I think he would get into weird niche tik tok drama just for the fun of it.

Daves: like,, a normal amount, but that's because he doesn't really interact much? Outside of the Der Monster Klub, I imagine he would just lurk. That being said, he is definitely privy to the weirdest internet rabbit holes

Ignoring how busy he is with being a ninja, Randy would probs be online a regular amount. Definitely posts random youtube videos, but he's like,, trying to be youtuber so uploads are sporadic. Also, this boy does touch grass. He seems to want to be active in the social life of high school and that means hanging out in person rather than blogging on tumblr lol

Howard: Same level as Randy, but I can also see this guy trying his hand at streaming. Sporadically does it with no set schedule and it's only ever Randy and a few other people in chat, but like. It's fun. they're teenagers.

Bash: Normal amount? I don't think I have a lot to say on him, really. posts like,, pictures of all the stuff he owns to flex, but that's what any rich teenager would do. Would say something dumb online, but it never really blows out of proportion.

Brent: I think he'd really only post his work. Would occasionally vent too. Blew up at some random person who left a hate comment, making it his sworn duty of the day to make them just as miserable.

Debbie: I think she's not super social and really would keep up with her friends and like, the school accounts. That being said, I can see her running the social media for the news club too, that's where her passion lies afterall. Thinks about making a news/commentary youtube channel, but just doesn't have the time

Marci: I was initially going to put her down as a Facebook mom, and while she does have one, I also see her almost being like one of those Instagram influencer moms too. She does have the status already, so I think it would just come naturally to her. Thankfully, because she's already rich, she wouldn't try shilling you an MLM. Def follows her son on social media, but doesn't comment because Bash said it's embarrassing.

Flute Girl: Tumblr user, but not in trenches, you know? Runs several aesthetic blogs for each of her interests, but actually is sane enough to just block and move on. Could also see her writing fanfic, but most of it doesn't get posted because she might be a bit self conscious

P: I think bros neat design wise, so while I don't have many thoughts on him, I wanted to include him lol

Plop Plop: if this guy had social media, I think he'd be into the DIY stuff, for some reason? Never really posting his own tutorials, but always there to comment and help others out on forums

Rachel: Normal amount. Pinterest board game goes CRAZY. One of those cute aesthetic tumblrs, but genuinely a nice person. Avoids drama at all costs

Doug: Get the vibe his parents would restrict internet access. That being said, could also see him on Reddit, so..?

McFist: I don't think he would use social but instead pay someone to post McFist posts both for himself and his businesses. Does not understand it and is a very busy man.

Slimovitz: Just has a Facebook. Reposts minion memes and cat photos. He used to post about his car, but then a student found it and turned it into a meme showing the before and after of it's destruction one day. He put a ban on phones for a bit. They never found the culprit.

Bucky: Also probably had restricted internet for a while. Interested in getting a social media, but they say he has to be above 16. I imagine he'd actually want to post band videos, though, so that'd be nice

Jacques: He does have parkour videos, but I don't think he actually likes talking online. Touches grass.

Sorceress: I think she'd be on social media like any "teen" would, but I don't think she'd get it. Posts selfies, but also doesn't really post them enough

Viceroy: I just imagine this guy goes on engineering or science related forums and solves problems, but he'd like,, also be the dude that would message the answer directly to the initial poster so when you find the forum 10 years later for your very specific problem, the answer isn't there. Could also be on tumblr to and while he says he's above it, would start shit online (or at the very least keep tabs on it to watch from afar).

Juggo: I can't see him on social media, but like,, frequent poster in clown related forums and accounts? Would answer weird clown trivia questions and is a respectable member in the historical clown community.

McAffee: Business has a Facebook that hasn't been updated for several years because he keeps forgetting about it. Also would occasionally post on youtube, but I feel he really shines nestled deep within the comments of a random youtube video he got mad at. The comment was about how the Star Wars prequels suck and by the 100th comment, it's moved onto furry discourse.

Morgan: I think she lurks more than anything. Her account has nothing and if you ever see her, it's one of the other members of dancing fish posting and her showing up in the video (I also think I just make Morgan more mysterious than she actually is lol)

Ranginald Bagel: Goofy guy with next to no internet access. If he did, he would sadly

S. Ward Smith: I can't even see this man on any like specfic welding forums online.

so let’s talk bite of ‘84-

as you already know five nights at whoopee’s is a crossover between fnaf and rc9gn where randy takes on the role of one of the missing children- but i’m sure you’ve already this blog’s lore! which brings me to the next point!

we all know the bite of ‘84- (or is it ‘87- the lore is so confusing sometimes- but this is when one of the afton kids was being bullied and was bitten by an animatronic in the process-)

though because five nights at whoopee’s is more of an au-ish crossover and not a direct copy, i decided to mess around with the information. bash johnson has been decided that he will be one of the bullies, not one of the missing children (yes i will post an updated version ft. the changes!).

it had originally been intended to be a joke- but bash didn’t know when to quit and it resulted in another kid nearly dying at the hands of an animatronic; though of course, his stepfather - hannibal mcfist- attempted to cover up the incident: a malfunction on the animatronic’s part, and bash’s involvement in the entire affair remained carefully under wraps. bash however, was downright horrified- even for him, it was too much.

the identity of the kid right now remains unknown, and i would highly appreciate suggestions but if not- i’ll try and work this already incredibly shoddy lore pfft. what i will say is this: mac antfee was the security guard around the time the incident took place! what this means, well, guess we’ll just have to see and find out~

bash didn’t fully change his attitude until he was close to graduating- though he never tried to go as far as he had that day in the pizzeria.

if this lore is somewhat unstable in the timeline and characters’ ages, well- that’s a little intentional because there’s only so many characters that are actually within the same time period, but this is my au and what i say goes /lh

i will be trying to come up with my own timeline at some point- but bash is not supposed to take the place of mike afton. he’s just one of the bullies, didn’t quite learn his lesson until much later-

Wow you brought some very good points! It's been awhile since Ive rewatched the episodes, so I almost forgot about the whole Randy and Mac Antfee bit with manipulating doodle powers.

It actually now fuels my hc about the fact that the connection gets stronger the longer one is Ninja. So, Mac Antfee has not only the experience, but also some lingering power perhaps, that allowed him to manipulate doodle so easily, even after years of inactivity, since he didn't completely severe his connection by erasing his memory. And Randy as the new Ninja only starts to learn how to manipulate them, but is learning rapidly because his connection is more active and stronger, despite his inexperience.

Also! It would make sense that the change in artstyle/Nomicon seemingly using new doodles is evidence of their synchronicity going the other way, aka from Randy to Nomicon! Like you said, he got given a quill (perhaps methaphorically? lol) so it would mean that Randy is now actively recording his experiences and so he is adding his 'voice' to the library/collection of Nomicon doodles.

Oooooh yeeeaaaa, that kinda works very well, thank you for reminding of that!

So, Ive started a rewatch of 9gn, and I would like to ask your opinion on the doodle vision thing. Is it just Randy remembering the pages do you think? or is the nomicon giving him a sort of limited mental text through their connection? Like especially when it seems to point to specific objects or such?

Personally, I like to think it's a little bit of both!

In my head, the first time Randy put on the mask, a surface level connection has been made between him - mask - Ninjanomicon. That's what allows the Ninjanomicon be aware of what is going on in Randy's life (how it reacts to his actions and decisions, and what prompts it to warn him/give him a lesson) despite it being, ya know a book without eyes and ears.

(on extra side note/headcanon, but I believe this is also the reason why Ninjanomicon needs the Messenger/Creep to scope out potential future ninjas - Messenger observes and evaluates and chooses, because Ninjanomicon cannot evaluate until after the candidate put the mask on and/or opened the book to establish that first surface connection.)

So, after Ninjanomicon gives a lesson, it continues to observe, and when we see doodles its because Randy is remembering AND Ninjanomicon is sort of nudging him with some of those visuals. Cause, like, more often than not the doodles appear just before/during a revelation Randy is having, but there are also sometimes extra doodle words like 'duh' or 'now this is a weapon' which feels a lot like commentary from someone else than Randy. There is some form of synchronicity - a mind drift, if you want, going on betwen them imho.

I like to think that the longer a Ninja is connected to the Nomicon, the stronger that connection gets, so at some point in the future Ninjanomicon can actually properly talk through doodles not only inside it and through memory, but also out in real life.

But since having such a strong connection is detrimental to a Ninja (aka, too much knowledge from Nomicon connection can lead to faster corruption by power) and Ninja's duty lasts only roughly 4 years, its very rare that the connection between the two gets so strong that Ninjanomicon can actually 'talk' rather than just recall memory of an already given lesson.

Also can you imagine a Ninja actually interacting with doodle talk out in real life as Nomicon talks to them? Ninja will seem like a crazy person! xD

currently working on something for an ask i received and let me just say, this is going to be incredibly chaotic lmao. also why does ao3 have such little tags for RC9GN, give me more i'm begging. it should not be this niche of a fandom!

that show had so much potential- but anyway, here's some more under-the-cut headcanons about our title lead Randy Cunningham!

Randy Cunningham Headcanons

Like mentioned before, this kid has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder- specifically ADHD-C (which just means he has combined inattentiveness and hyperactivity)

Thanks to @mrfartpowered, Randy comes from a rich family! Though both his parents are workaholics and hardly come home which means Randy's left to his own devices

He doesn't fully know how to cook, but he knows enough basics to not completely starve when he's alone at the house- also because he and Howard eat out a lot at like, Charlie Cluckers and PJ McFlubbusters (?)

Randy literally doesn't mind paying for things because his family's kind of fucking loaded!

He has Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) and struggles with not completely giving up in one-go when he fears he's about to be rejected, when he's about to do something wrong- it comes and goes, but there's no way he isn't a little insecure

He's developed a curiosity for law ever since becoming the Ninja. His parents are in awe about it because they think he's wanting to become a lawyer (he doesn't-)

Randy has always been an intense fan of the Ninja as we know from canon. He kept a lot of memorabilia over the years and never parted with it- he wanted to help people, deciding if it wouldn't be the Ninja, he would do other forms of service. Imagine his surprise when he's actually chosen to be the Ninja

He looks up to the First Ninja. Like, a lot

I'm trying to not accidentally spoil anything in the headcanons, but okay this has to be one of my favorites: you can't convince me that Randy wouldn't use more powers he found in the Shadow Warrior's part of the Nomicon

The Ninja Suit can only protect Randy from only some injuries- if anyone read my tengu! Howard fic, the suit will automatically have a defense/safety mechanism built in to heal any severe injuries/wounds- it sort of overrides the user and knocks them out (especially when it comes to near-death experiences)

If there ever was a time when a Ninja had to decommission early (coughs Mac Antfee coughs), someone else would have to be chosen- it's sometimes a hastily chosen decision but this rarely- if ever- happens. Somehow not many notices

Angst Headcanons

There have been times when Howard has needed to patch Randy up after some nasty fights- this one time Randy didn't make it back after a battle and he was found with a nasty gash, barely managing to stay awake and it freaked out Howard a lot

Randy sometimes uses the Nomicon to avoid his problems- it's become an unhealthy habit but he can't quite bring himself to stop

You can't tell me he doesn't dissociate. When Randy isn't actively doing his part in being the Ninja, he tends to space out a lot and he isn't all too present to say the least

This boy does have some scars. You can't convince me otherwise

He doesn't really question his self worth as the Ninja, but the thoughts still come sometimes- wondering if he's doing a good enough job, if the Nomicon hadn't made a mistake choosing him. It eats him up more when his RSD acts up

Randy does his best to impress Finja and feels horrible everytime he feels he's messed up. He doesn't like seeing others' disappointed (gee, I wonder why /lhs)

He feels responsible for others getting hurt-

I don't have much else to add, but let me just say I'll be doing another post soon! I have something kind of fun planned when it comes to the currently unofficial canon for Into the NInjaverse! I'm kind of hyped and all over the place today!

Trying to figure out the fucked up timeline in rc9gn

Fact one: Mac Antfee was the Norrisville Ninja for six years, graduating in 1985

Fact two: Hannibal McFist graduated in 1985

This is what I’ve got:

- Mac failed freshman year twice. If he redid any other grade he likely wouldn’t have graduated the same year and Hannibal. This also alleviates most of my questions as to why the Nomicon didn’t just freeze out Mac from being the ninja (my previous assumption being that Mac purposefully got held back in order to continue being the ninja)

- Hannibal met Mac in his freshman year (1981 - Mac’s third time) and became fast friends

- Marci, Marlene (the future Mrs. Driscoll), Mac, and Hannibal all graduated in 1985

- Now this has no tie to any canon evidence but I think Willem and Mort are a little younger than the rest of them, so I say they graduated in 1987. On top of that I think Willem is a little younger than Mort because he skipped a year or two throughout grade school

Next I’ll post the designs I did for these guys and write up some of the lore !!

Synopsis for Ninja Camp Rewrite

Howard had signed up Randy for ninja camp, Randy is hesitant to be trained by a stranger and worried if he’s a good ninja for leaving but he’s reassured by Howard. Randy impresses Mac Antfee by showcasing his skills at ninja school being his best student. However signs point to something being amiss with Antfee. Meanwhile Howard observes the nomicon acting strangely than usual and realizes his best friend is in danger. With the Nomicon can Howard be in time to prevent his friend from succumbing to darkness?

If I ever were to write season three for rc9gn, in a universe were it wasnt canceled... I'd have Randy kill McFist, but hed have the ability to fix it with time travel or something... But hed just like.. let it play out to see what would happen. It ends up having Marci and Viceroy heavily despise the ninja, and them being so much worse than McFist to the point it forces Randy to go back and stop the murder. Bash doesnt really care since hes stupid and dumb. Hes like, "Oh shoot! Ninja killed McFist! Ma, could you remarry with that funny comedian guy on TV?", and itd be in tenth grade where Howard js doesnt rlly care about buying McFist stuff and now just steals their products, along with Randys entire friendgroup.

I dont want McFist to be redeemed AT ALL by the way. I want him to keep evil on his calendar every day at all times, and I want him to be as selfish as ninja of 85 if there ever were a flashback. Bro- his story should be like this: Mac antfee betrays his friend McFist by NNS-ing constantly but for dumb shit, McFist gets angry and steals the mask to do something worse as payback, ninja of 85 gets mad, and gets McFist in trouble by his dad. McFist gets stanked and mac leaves him like that for a month until he gets so bad he NEEDS to destank him, and McFist despises him for it, and starts telling random people who the ninja is until Mac mindwipes McFist, before pulling a Howard but instead using McFist as the fake ninja, etc... McFist doesnt know why, but he hates the ninja now, he finds the sorcerer who promises a special power if he kills the ninja, and Mcfist immediately accepts the deal because its two rewards in one.

So the ninjanomicon is an evil, posessive book that turns whoever reads it insane. The Sorcerer is a mythical hero that's been protecting Norrisvile from it's wrath for centuries. Every 4 years, a student form NHS is chosen to wield the mystical powerballs and protect Norrisvile from monsters and shit.

I'm thinking instead of a mask, Howard has to carry around a little hat that forms into the a sorcerer's gown when worn. He wields a magic staff with a powerball on it that lets him use it's magic.

Howard and Randy swap personalities a bit. Howard's responsible and cares about others enough to put himself in danger for them, if not a bit cowardly. A well meaning idiot, he tries to avoid trouble, but unfortuntely for him, Randy has no limits.

Randy is upbeat, energetic, and constantly searching for the next fun/cool thing to do. He's constantly pulling Howard in with his antics, which Howard has to get them out of. He doesn't really care for anyone else outside of them two.

Of course, Randy's the only one who knows Howard's secret. He thinks it's cool as HELL. Kinda jealous too. He's absolutely ran off with the hat like, 3 times.

the whole identity thing is still intact. Howard can't tell anyone he's the sorcerer or else he'll be forced to give up the hat and mind wipe. once he graduates, he'll mind wipe and the powerball will absorb his memories for the future sorcerer's to use.

I'm thinking the equivalent of going inside the nomicon is summoning plop plop/finja/previous sorcerer's with the powerball. ya know how aang summons previous avatars in atla? something like that. whenever howard needs help, he summons them with a specfic spell, and they give him some weird fortune-cookie lesson.

i'm thinking mac antfee and mcfist swap places. McFist was a previous Sorcerer who didn't mind wipe, and is now after the powerballs. Mac Antfee is the town's lovable gazillionare that's now possessed by the nomicon. They both regularly send monsters and robots to the school to destroy the sorcerer. Viceory stays the same, still being employed by McFist and building his robots.

there's some sort of eqivulant to the sorceress and the tengu, but i have NO clue what that could be.

Gamehole is now the HoleGame, because it's funny.

Debbie/Heidi swap??? Theresa and Debbie hosts the towns 3rd biggest MeCast, and Heidi's trying to find out who the sorcerer is, unbeknownst to her, she lives with him.
