Right Here, Right Now - T.N.
Based on that one high school musical 3 scene
✩✩✩✩
As Theo Nott touched down on the pitch, the roar of the Slytherin crowd was deafening. The victory was complete: Slytherin had won the House Cup. Theo’s teammates surged towards him, lifting him high into the air in celebration. The thrill of triumph and the smell of victory filled the crisp evening air.
Hours later, the excitement had shifted from the Quidditch pitch to the Nott residence, where the grand celebration was in full swing. Music and laughter echoed through the opulent halls as students, family, and friends gathered to honor the win. The house was alive with the energy of the Slytherin spirit, with food, drinks, and a great deal of revelry.
Meanwhile, Theo and Matteo were nowhere to be seen. The two friends had found themselves in a less glamorous situation: Theo’s truck had broken down on their way to the party. The situation had quickly escalated from a minor inconvenience to a near disaster, as the truck stubbornly refused to start.
“Keep pushing. You better be pushing!” Theo yelled, his breath visible in the chilly night air as he strained against the vehicle.
“I’m pushing!” Matteo shouted back, his frustration evident. Theo’s truck was heavy and unwieldy, and the prospect of missing out on the party was adding to his exasperation.
“Push harder!” Theo urged, his voice a mix of determination and amusement. They were almost there, just a few more steps from the Nott residence.
Finally, with one last effort, they managed to roll the truck to the edge of the driveway. Theo leaned against the truck, panting and smiling with relief. “Home sweet home,” he said, grinning as he glanced at Matteo.
Matteo gave him a flat look, clearly annoyed. “I’m saving for a new one,” Theo said with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.
“Uh-huh, save faster,” Matteo muttered before turning on his heel and heading towards the house, eager to join the festivities.
Theo watched as Matteo disappeared into the party, and with a resigned sigh, he trudged towards the entrance. The contrast between the chaotic scene outside and the lively celebration inside couldn’t have been starker. As he walked in, he was greeted by cheers and claps on the back from his friends and family.
Despite the rough start, the party was as vibrant as expected. Theo joined the crowd, accepting congratulations and high-fives. His friends, including Enzo and others, were animatedly discussing the match and their victory.
As Theo navigated through the party, searching for you amidst the sea of well-wishers, he was momentarily lost in the whirlwind of congratulations. He stopped briefly to exchange pleasantries and thank the well-meaning crowd, but his focus remained on finding you.
When he finally spotted you on the dance floor with Pansy Parkinson, he felt a surge of relief. He made his way over, a genuine smile spreading across his face. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around you in a warm embrace.
"Hey," Theo greeted, his voice filled with a mix of joy and exhaustion. "Congratulations, Mr. MVP."
You grinned up at him. "Thanks! Can I fix you a plate?" Even in the midst of the celebration, Theo's thoughtfulness shone through.
"I'll take one of everything" You smiled
"What are we celebrating something?" Theo chuckled, the warmth of your smile making the stress of the day seem almost worth it. Before he could say more, Adrian Pucey swooped in, grabbing Theo's arm.
"What's up, dude? Back-to-back champions, baby!" Pucey exclaimed, his excitement mirroring Theo's earlier exuberance.
Theo was about to respond when he felt a firm hand on his shoulder. His father had arrived, ushering him towards a distinguished-looking man who introduced himself as a scout for a professional Quidditch team.
"Let me tell you, that teamwork I saw tonight and the dedication from you, Nott—that's the kind of player I’m looking for," the scout said, his tone sincere.
Theo thanked the man, his mind racing with the possibilities as he tried to process the unexpected opportunity. He turned to find you again, but the crowd had shifted, and he was momentarily disoriented.
Just as he was about to resume his search for you, Pucey stopped him once more, this time with a curious look. “Hey man, great house,” he said, then paused. “Your room? Wicked cool.”
Theo blinked, slightly taken aback. “Oh, thanks, man. Wait, you were in my room?”
"Well yeah I just took a picture... I'm doing mine the same way" He smiled like it was completely normal before pulling out his camera and taking a picture with Theo. The flash confusing him even more then he already was.
Before he could respond Pucey was talking again "Dude we should hang out tonight, Get to know each other"
"yeah sure, I just have to grab the house cup I left it in my truck." Theo thought quickly of a way that he could get away from Pucey.
"Oh dude don't worry I'm on it" And with that he ran off, leaving Theo alone once again and brininging him back to his search.
✩✩✩✩
Theo’s treehouse, tucked away in the branches of an old oak tree, was a nostalgic retreat from the bustling party below. The evening sky was awash with twilight hues, casting a gentle glow over the scene. Theo led you up the wooden ladder with a mix of excitement and nervousness, keen to share this personal space with someone special.
As you reached the top and stepped into the cozy, somewhat cluttered room, you were greeted by the familiar smell of pine and the faint scent of old books. The space was adorned with old Quidditch memorabilia, photographs, and sketches—evidence of the countless hours Theo had spent up here as a child.
“So, another top-secret hiding place,” you said, slipping your hand into his and looking around with interest.
Theo chuckled, his eyes twinkling with a mix of pride and nostalgia. “You’re the second girl I’ve ever brought up here,” he said, his voice softening as he met your gaze.
You raised an eyebrow playfully. “The first?”
“The first was my mom,” he said, pausing to see your reaction. When you elbowed him gently, he continued, “And she only climbed up here to get me down when I got stuck.”
Both of you burst into laughter, the sound echoing softly in the quiet, serene space.
“Well, I’m honored,” you said, taking in the view of the Nott estate. “This place is so cool.”
“Yeah, my dad and I built it together,” Theo said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. “It’s been a special place for me.”
You nodded, glancing over at him. “Is that the coach from the pro team who he hasn't stopped talking about in weeks?”
“The very same,” Theo said, a note of amazement in his voice. “He’s here at my house tonight. It’s surreal.”
“I bet he’s already got your name on a jersey,” you teased.
“That’s always been my dad’s dream,” Theo said, his tone filled with warmth. “He’s been so supportive and I know he's proud .”
“I’m proud of you too,” you added softly, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.
Theo’s expression grew contemplative. “The thing about going pro is…”
He was cut off by you both speaking at once. “I’ll be 1,000 miles away.”
Theo stopped, his gaze fixed on you. “It feels like this year is flying by.”
“Yeah,” you said with a sigh, “I wish it would slow down, at least for a little while.”
Theo took a deep breath, looking around the treehouse as if trying to hold on to the moment. “Well, at least we have right now.”
“That’s true,” you agreed, leaning closer.
“And right here, right now,” Theo said, his voice soft and earnest, “I’m looking at you, and my heart loves the view.”
You laughed, the sound light and full of affection. “That was pretty cheesy.”
“I know,” Theo said, grinning sheepishly. “But I meant every word.”
You smiled back at him, feeling a sense of contentment and connection in the quiet intimacy of the treehouse. The party below seemed like a distant memory, replaced by the shared moment between the two of you.
Theo leaned in, his eyes reflecting the soft glow of the lantern hanging above. “I’m glad we could share this moment together.”
“Me too,” you said, your voice barely a whisper as you leaned in closer. “It’s been a night to remember.”
As you two leaned in and shared a slow kiss the winning fireworks were set off in the back. Perfect timing.
As the party below carried on, the sounds of celebration drifting up to the treehouse, Theo and you were content in the knowledge that, despite the uncertainties of the future, you had each other and a memory that would last long after the night was over.
✩✩✩✩
This was kind of hard to write at the end because I didn't want them breaking out into song.

FLYING BICYCLES AND LOVESTRUCK MAGIC
genre. fluff. kiki's delivery service au-ish. a lil mutual pining. warnings. reader is basically kiki and sohee is basically tombo lol. some psychic magic mentioned. it's mostly just them being whipped for each other. osono cameo cause she's mvp fr. pairing. sohee x witch!reader. wc. 2.5k. a/n. the riize brainrot is SO REAL. idk why i felt sohee would fit the role of tombo so perfectly hes just sooo 💔💔 i love him guys 🥹
Sohee was 97.62436% sure that he was going crazy when he first saw you flying on a broomstick through the city. Of course, the other 2.37564% that had gone completely insane was fascinated, excited, and probably (definitely) head over heels in love.
He lived in a small town. One where the word went around like a whirlwind as soon as anyone new moved in. It was the most exciting thing that could happen for the residents there, especially when the newcomer happened to be a very pretty girl from a rich city.
Most people would move out of the town when they reached 20 or so to discover themselves. Yet they always seemed to find their way back when they were a bit more settled. It was a rite of passage— a route to adulthood that almost everyone assumed the youth of the town would take. Sohee liked his town, though, and didn’t feel any need to move away. He had already discovered himself enough to know what he wanted to do with his life.
There were exciting things to do that he doubted he would be able to do anywhere else. Visiting the town’s grandpa that ran the old antique shop, getting free candy from the young lady who ran the candy store after the old owner had passed away, seeing every new addition to the art gallery from the aspiring painters and sculptors in town. And, his favourite activity: investigating the old junk yard for spare parts to make his newest models.
Sohee liked to call himself an inventor. It felt spiffy and official. He showed off every new creation he pieced together with rusted tools and even rustier bits of metal like it was the next world-changing invention. He could spend hours in his dad’s old workshop working with nuts and bolts, seeing what the pieces could make once they came together.
He had been determined to make a flying vehicle for years now. After finding a beautiful old wind turbine in the junkyard when he was 14, he had started planning mock-ups for a bicycle. He would attach the turbine in front of it so that when you pedalled, the turbine spinned. The hope was that with enough inertia, you could eventually lift off the ground with it. He was skeptical that it would actually work, though.
He hadn’t officially talked to you yet. You had been in town for a couple days now, staying with the couple that ran the local bakery. Sohee thought you were absolutely beautiful from the moment he first saw you. He had been riding his bicycle past the bakery on his way to the carpenters to pick up some tools. One glance at you through the window had him abruptly pushing on the brakes, eyes going wide.
Maybe it was a bit of an exaggeration, but you looked like an angel. Or a goddess. Or a fairy. Sohee couldn’t decide which one, but he knew that you were the most stunning person he had ever seen. Since that day, he kept running into you in town, but his own nervousness had stopped him from talking to you properly. He had held a few conversations; enough to know your name and age, but clearly not enough to know that you could fly through the air.
Now, he was staring wide-eyed at the clouds, watching you soar just beneath them so effortlessly. He craned his head to watch you as long as he could before you disappeared behind the clock tower.
“Woah…” He whispered, jaw dropped in an awestruck expression.
“She’s quite the girl, isn’t she?”
Sohee turned to the side, nodding in agreement with what Osono, the bakery lady, had said.
“She’s amazing. Do you know how she does it?” He asked with a grin.
“Haven’t you heard by now, Sohee? She’s a witch! She chose our town to do her witch training.” Osono explained.
“That’s incredible! I didn’t even know witches actually existed! Do you know what she’s training in?!” Sohee felt like his brain was spinning at a speed incomprehensible to mankind. He kept thinking of more and more questions about you. He’d never seen anyone quite like you before, and the more he learned, the more intrigued he became.
“She said she’s still figuring it out— but she’s interested in love readings. For now, she’s using her flying skills to help me and the town. She’s an excellent delivery girl!” Osono beamed.
“Love readings…?” Sohee pondered the idea on his way back home. The next day, he found himself at the town’s library, scanning through the small section on magic and witches with more focus than he had put to almost anything.
//
“Miss witch, I’d like to get a love reading!” He announced happily, swinging open the door to the bakery where you were seated at the counter, seconds away from falling asleep due to the lack of customers. You jerked up at the sound of Sohee, immediately knowing that it was him from his playful nickname for you— miss witch.
“Really!? You want one!?” You jumped up from your seat and rushed around the counter to be face to face with him. Sohee had become your first friend in town. After he had seen you fly that day, he discovered the key to talking to you without being awkward. You could fly and he wanted to fly. There was a perfect common interest.
You loved talking to Sohee. He was infinitely more interesting than the kids back at your old home, most of which were stuck up and rude. Sohee was bright and kind and full of imagination and dreams and inspiration. He never got bored of you talking about being a witch, and you never got bored of hearing about his new inventions. You had never clicked so well with someone before.
There was also the fact that he was the prettiest boy you’d ever seen. But that was… less important. You had a bad habit of crushing on boys without it ever going anywhere. You were determined not to repeat that disaster a sixth time.
“It would be my great honour to be your very first customer.” Sohee said dramatically, making you giggle with excitement.
“Well, then, dear client, shall we go to my witch lair? I can’t perform the reading anywhere else.” You responded, matching his dramatics perfectly. He grinned and nodded and you grabbed his wrist to lead him upstairs.
“It’s a bit messy— give me a second!” You rushed around your small attic space that Osono had been so kind to let you stay in for free. You hurriedly put away the food that you had gotten for breakfast and shoved some odd trinkets under your bed so that they were hidden. Sohee just watched, his heart racing. He really needed to get that under control.
“Where’s my witching supplies- Aha! Here it is!” You held up a small purple box, bejewelled with gold ornaments. It looked ancient and rusty— exactly the type of artifact that Sohee loved.
You set down a thin blanket on the wooden floor before taking out the little baubles and setting them in the middle of the fabric. Sohee sat on one end, and you on the other.
“Alright, mister… I have a series of questions, but for this to work, you must answer them completely honestly. If you lie even once, the whole thing will be messed up!” You had put on your mother’s joke witches had for fun. The sight made Sohee laugh, especially when you deepened your voice to sound old as you explained how things would work.
“I got it. I’ll tell only the truth.” Sohee promised.
“Once you answer all the questions, I’ll flip over this blank card. If everything works out, the name of the person you love the most will slowly appear before your eyes! Now… Are you ready?” You quirked an eyebrow, staring seriously at him even though on the inside you were about to burst with excitement. It was your dream to open your own love reading business. You just weren’t completely sure if you were good enough at it yet.
Sohee nodded eagerly, a mix of excitement and nervousness stewing inside of him. He wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, so he carefully followed along with what you did to make sure he didn’t mess anything up. You closed your eyes and he followed suit.
The questions you asked started out simple, without Sohee needing to deliberate before delivering the honest answer to you. But as they went on, they got more complex and more personal. Sohee had never doubted your abilities as a witch, but he hadn’t expected you to be able to see right through him.
“Last question…”
“Mhm?” Sohee could feel his stomach twist in nervousness, but he breathed steadily to try to calm his nerves.
“Do you believe yourself to be in love with someone at this current moment?”
Sohee swallowed slowly, his mouth and throat feeling parched all of a sudden. He took his time to think through it, though the answer was almost painfully obvious. He had never been more in love in his entire life.
“Yes.” He finally answered with certainty, a slight burden lifting off his chest. It was almost as if he was confessing to you in a way— and though he didn’t say it directly, it still eased some of his anxiety. He opened his eyes hesitantly after answering to see your face scrunched in concentration.
“No way-” You opened your eyes as well, frowning in confusion and looking up to Sohee with a questioning gaze. “By any chance are you…?”
“Huh?” Sohee blinked, confused at your actions. You shook your head quickly and stared down at the blank card.
“Are you ready?”
“Yeah.”
The air felt a little tense as you slowly flipped over the black card. You held your hand over it for a few seconds, shielding it from Sohee’s curious view. You lifted your hand carefully once you were sure it had worked and watched as the name slowly appeared on the card.
You sat in frozen shock once you read the name on the card, struggling to process what you had seen. Your name was displayed on the card, clearer than ever. There was no way that anyone could possibly mistake it or misread it, but you just couldn’t believe it.
“It- we- we must’ve messed it up somehow! There’s no way that’s- It must’ve got me confused, right!?” Sohee spluttered helplessly, his entire face a bright shade of red. Somehow in his calculations, he didn’t expect for the card to expose him that horrendously, right in front of you as well.
“I don’t think we did it wrong, though… Everything felt… right.” You said quietly. “Do you… like me?” You could barely get the words to come out of your throat.
There were some parts of your magic that you still needed time to trust completely. Flying had always been easy in that aspect; you either flew or you didn’t. But when it came to love readings, you wondered how likely it was that your magic had gotten messed up. You liked to be whimsical and believe that your love readings could be completely accurate, but your confidence had never been as low as in this moment.
However nervous you were feeling, it was a thousand times worse for Sohee. You had a small inkling of hope— hope that he would say yes. But for Sohee, he could only think of the possible rejection. Or the even worse possibility that this would tear apart your friendship.
“Yes…?” Sohee whispered out to you. You had never heard him this nervous or quiet before.
“Really? Are you sure?” You asked again, this time with a little more voice and hope surging in you. Sohee must have picked up on the hopeful tone, as he answered yes again, this time with more certainty.
“Then the reading wasn’t wrong?! You actually like me?” Your hand clasped over your mouth before you could ramble anymore in your state of disbelief.
“What about you? I mean… you probably don’t, right? But maybe…?” Sohee couldn’t help but be hopeful for your response, but he held himself back from being too expectant on the response he was dreaming for.
“Do I like you back?! Of course I do- It wasn’t obvious before now?” You stuttered in disbelief.
“I mean- I hoped you did, but I couldn’t be sure.” Sohee clarified. The tension in the room had completely dissipated by now, and your smiles were slowly coming back as the reality settled in.
“I’ve liked you since I moved here, I think. Didn’t you ever question why we kept running into each other before we became friends?”
“No? I just thought it was a lucky coincidence.” Sohee admitted with a laugh.
“It was because whenever I spotted you biking around town, I’d land in a street nearby and pretend like I was always walking that way just to cross paths with you!” You corrected stubbornly. Now that it was clear that the feelings were mutual, you wanted him to know the effort that you went through to get closer to him.
“I also started going past the bakery on my way home. It added an extra 5 minutes to my route, but it was worth it to see you working through the glass window.” He scratched the back of his neck shyly, mirroring your smile when your eyes brightened at hearing his confession.
“So… what now?” You questioned suddenly after a prolonged silence of both of you trying to stare at the other while simultaneously trying your best not to look obvious.
“Would you go out with me?” Sohee asked excitedly. “Oh shoot- I should’ve gotten flowers first. Wait here- I’ll be quick!” He stammered, rushing out of the room before you could stop him. He was gone only long enough for you to giggle in delight while you cleaned up the supplies you had laid out. Your witching skills had come in handy in the best of ways.
He was out of breath by the time he burst open the door again, but his eyes had never glimmered any brighter. He held a bouquet of pink and white roses, a little squished on one side from the rush he had been in.
“You know you didn’t have to go buy these…” You bit back a smile, taking the pretty flowers from his hands.
“My mom always said the best way to charm a lady was with flowers.” He panted and grinned at you cheekily when you shot him a look. You smiled as you sniffed the sweet scent of the roses. Sohee was about to say something else, but you pulled him into a tight hug before he could start, the unexpected gesture knocking all words he had into another dimension.
“I really like you, Sohee.” You whispered, your smile twinkling as you rested your head on his shoulder.
He took a second to get over the shock of you hugging him before he was wrapping his arms around your frame as well, mumbling back, “Me too.”

9-1-1 REACTION
This reaction is for the season 8, first episode “Buzzkill” which originally aired on September 26, 2024. The episode was written by Molly Green and James Leffler and directed by James Wong.
The 118 is back, baby, and you won’t bee-lieve what shenanigans our faves are getting into in season 8 opener. Previously, my reviews have been a bit long-winded as I tried to react the episodes in their entirety. For this season, I thought I’d try something new. Rather than doing a scene-by-scene recap, my plan is to have four segments that I comment on. Those segments will be:
Best plot
Best emergency sequence
Episode MVP
BuckTommy Corner
Now that we've got that out of the way, let's start with our best plot.
Best plot?
It was fun checking in on all of our first responders. In case you for some reason didn’t watch the season 7 finale, Bobby left the 118 and was replaced by former captain Vincent Gerrard (Brian Thompson). This leads me to the best plot of the episode. We’ve seen glimpses of what life was like prior to Bobby becoming captain in the episodes "Hen Begins" and "Chimney Begins". There’s only a handful of characters who have worked under Gerrard. Unfortunately, Buck is not one of those characters.
Captain Vincent Gerrard is still just as terrible as he was back then. Hen, Chimney and even Eddie, our three minority members of the 118, seen to hate working for the man but they seem to take all of his microaggressions in stride. Not to get too deep on racial politics but if you’re Black, Latinx, or Asian living in America, you probably know all too well what it’s like to encounter someone like Captain Gerrard. Buck, however, hasn’t had to face as much adversity as his colleagues and it is this reason that he’s the most outwardly resistant towards the interim captain.
Nothing Buck does seems to please Gerrard, and I imagine this reminds Buck of his own fragile relationship with his dad. Buck truly saves the day, twice, when he suggests using smokes to disperse the bees and later on uses Eddie as bait to distract the bees. Gerrard, however, isn’t impressed and only sees Buck’s good ideas as acts of defiance.
At the end of the episode, Buck gets chewed out by Gerrard and for a moment I thought he was going to snap. What happened next was very unexpected. A saw blade flies across the firehouse and nearly skewers Gerrard. Buck manages to intervene and saves the captain’s life. We end the episode with Captain Gerrard lying unconscious in his own blood. Will Buck’s act of bravery be once again misinterpreted, or will Gerrard be grateful for his lifesaving intervention?
Best emergency sequence?
We had a handful of emergencies this episode but the one that sticks out to me is the one involving the mother Julie (Marisol Sacramento) and her daughter Reyla (Nora Harriet) both of whom are deathly allergic to bees. Now I’ve never been afraid of bees. If I see one, I usually get out of their way. I know how important they are to the environment, so I just let them do their thing. With that said, if I ever saw that many bees in one spot, I would probably have a panic attack. When the bees surrounded their vehicle, all I kept thinking was, what would I do in that situation.
Watching the 118 respond to the accident was quite exciting. Once again, Buck’s quick thinking saved the day. I’m always amazed by how all of the seemingly useless information stored in Buck’s brain ends up being extremely useful during their emergencies. Aside from Hen, I truly bee-lieve that Buck is one of the smartest people on the show. It’s unfortunate how some of the other characters right him off as being an idiot at times.
Okay, I’m not trying to be rude but, if you and your daughter are both deadly allergic to bees, why would you only have one EpiPen??? Speaking of smart characters, kudos to Maddie for thinking on her feet and having the mom reuse the EpiPen. I’ve given myself many injections before and I didn’t know that some of the medicine is left in the pen. I’m sure someone will remind me that this is something fabricated for the show but if this is true, that’s pretty awesome.
The last thing I’ll say about this emergency sequence is RIP to the guy driving the bee truck. I don’t know why he thought it was a good idea to get out of the vehicle, but I guess his fight or flight kicked in. I hate that he got stung to death. Oh, and how disgusting was it when Chimney sucked all of those bees out of the other guy’s windpipe. Blech!
Episode MVP?
This was hard for me. I was really impressed by Buck’s heroics this episode, but I have to give Episode MVP to the queen badass herself, Athena Grant. I love how this show is constantly building off of its own lore. One of the best episodes of the series (and the saddest) is season 3’s “Athena Begins”. In this episode, we learn that Athena had a fiancé named Emmett. Emmett is the one who got Athena interested in law enforcement. Unfortunately, Emmett was gunned down by a man named Dennis Jenkins (Glenn Plummer). In that very same episode, Athena solved her late-fiancé’s murder and Emmett was arrested.
Athena finds herself reliving the trauma of Emmett’s murder when she is instructed to do a prison transfer. Apparently Dennis has some tea on his deceased jail mate and in exchange for that information, he will get an early released. Athena is not exactly enthused about the assignment, but she truly is the best person for the job. When she arrives in Arizona, she is accosted by an assassin looking to take Dennis out. She whips out of her gun Dirty Harry-style and commands him to get in the trunk of his car. Her and Denis manage to escape and get to the airport. Athena is smart enough to book an alternate flight back to Los Angeles in hopes of avoiding any additional attempts on Jenkins’ life. However, that decision will prove to be disastrous as we see at the end of the episode a small plane collide with the passenger jet Athena and Dennis are on.
BuckTommy Corner
And now we’ve made it to our last segment. I wasn’t expecting to see Tommy this episode even though I know he will feature more prominently in the next few episodes, but we did get a pretty sweet and heartbreaking scene with him, Buck, and Eddie. Less we forgot, Eddie’s relationship with his son Christopher is extremely precarious since Christopher walked in on his dad with a woman who looks exactly like his late mother. Christopher is back in El Paso with Eddie’s parents and Eddie is doing everything he can to win back Christopher’s trust.
It's Christopher’s birthday and it’s so strange to see our little man as a teenager with a deep voice. I feel like we’ve watched this kid grow up and he’s gone from the adorable little kid to sullen teenager in the blink of an eye. With Christopher with his grandparents, Eddie decides to celebrate his special day via FaceTime. The connection is spotty but that doesn’t seem to dampen the spirits of our three partygoers. While Eddie chats with Christopher, Buck and Tommy hide behind the sofa. They’re both wearing party hats, the kind you wear for a little kid’s birthday party, and Tommy tells Buck that he’s a vision in a cone hat. That was so sweet. I love how much is said without saying all that much. These two are still just as smitten as they were at the end of last season. They seem so comfortable with each other, and I can’t wait to see more of them this season.
Well, that’s my reaction! How’d I do? This episode was so fun and 9-1-1 is best when it gives us these multi-episode disaster episodes. It’s so good to have all my favorite characters back on my television screen. Most of all, everyone looks like they are having fun. I’m seriously looking forward to what happens next. Until next time …

Dragon Ball Daima S01E10 - Ocean
The titles for Daima episodes crack me up. Like. We've been making jokes at Toei's expense for how spoiler-filled Dragon Ball episode titles are for forty years. Now they're just like, "Fine! You know what? Every title is just a context-free noun and NOTHING ELSE."
Lightning. Thieves. Ocean.
Good luck gleaning any major plot reveals from that!
Honestly, I'm kinda rooting for the Tamagami.
They had two Saibaman seeds left and only used one, which leaves the other one hanging as a plot point whose function remains to be determined. The probable purpose for the other seed is so they'll have resources to create another Majin.
Kuu isn't literally the prototype for a bigger, nastier villain. But he might end up being exactly that.
So with the possibility that Kuu gets defeated and has to be replaced at some point in mind, I just think it'd be so funny if it happened right now. Following his dramatic reveal last episode, Kuu mouths off to Tamagami One and just gets fucking splattered, and Dr. Arinsu has to go back to the drawing board. XD
I mean. Yeah. There are benefits to being magically cursed to become a child again. I certainly wouldn't mind a dramatically increased lifespan, personally.
There are drawbacks too but you'd be surprised what you can circumvent when you're a billionaire.
This conversation took a really weird turn. And also, there are other reasons that Vegeta might not be comfortable with returning to adulthood while his wife remains a child.
Very. Very good reasons.
I have no idea what Kuu is doing in this fight and I'm not sure he does either. One is handing him his golden Saiba-ass.
It's like they're trying to channel Pure Buu's unpredictable and frantic fighting style. But Buu was an eldritch creature that no longer communicated in words and fought like a feral blob of gum. Kuu's intelligence and... non-goopiness... just makes him look like a weird doof.
I wonder if Kuu can absorb the Tamagami and gain their power?
Which should also mean that we can get out and fly for long periods of time without requiring the aid of a vehicle. Planes are now optional.
Kaioshin: (thinking) I hope we can get in and out without encountering one. Goku: (thinking) I wonder how they taste....
Goku: (thinking) Not bad for a first course....
Yeah, flying is no longer nerfed. This attack squadron made mistakes. The guy who beat the Tamagami is in even more top form now, and these idiots couldn't handle him when he was holding back.
Daimakai is basically a fun vacation for Goku.
XD There is no way a creature that size is sustaining itself on the occasional plane that inadvisably flies too low to the ocean. They're definitely hunting planes out of spite, not hunger.
Ahhh. Goku can teleport, so it doesn't actually matter that the plane is now in the creature's gullet. This is a good setup. Gives the others enough time to look shocked before Goku and Panzy suddenly pop into existe--
...or I guess the gap between its teeth is wide enough that anyone capable of Bukujutsu can just leave, no problem. Being crushed in the plane was the only danger that being eaten by the kraken posed.
Mm. I'm disappointed, but this still works fine.
And now the kraken's done. Yeah, it does not care one bit about the flying people. It just wanted the plane.
Krakens just... hate planes for some reason. I wonder if the Gendarmerie are poaching them?
Bit of a mixed bag here. I said early on after we met her that I really don't want Panzy to turn into the new GT Pan. GT Pan is worse-case scenario for how she could end up being utilized by the show.
I was nervous when they all evacuated the plane, but then Panzy put herself in peril anyway so we could have a scene of Goku dramatically rescuing her. I was like, "Okay, whatever they made her go back for, it better be something good."
It was the Dragon Ball. All of these fuckers forgot the Dragon Ball when they were bailing out of the plane.
...
Yeah! Okay, fair enough. Panzy MVP and these boys better appreciate her.
Oh, the Namekians had their own world within Makai #2. I bet it's more Namek-like than this region.
Yep, I'd know those Ajissa anywhere.
You know, this does actually make sense, now that I think about it. It's a retcon, but not one that breaks continuity.
The main job that the Namekians have is to cultivate Ajissa. It's what they spend their days farming. Their crop fields are full of the Ajissa they're growing.
When we first meet the Namekians, it's in the aftermath of a climate crisis that ravaged their ecosystem and left them near extinction. They're cultivating Ajissa to try and restore Namek to the beauty it once had.
But it's just a hop, skip, and a jump from there to "Namekians terraform planets they occupy to resemble their ancestral home, and filling those planets with Ajissa is part of that terraforming."
Did Piccolo just indicate that Katattsu came from Makai #2? All we know about him was that he was among the Namekians killed in Namek's climate catastrophe. How would Piccolo even know this? We've been given no timeframe on when Namekians left Makai #2.
Well, would it surprise you to know that he didn't actually say that? Yeah, at no point did he say it was his "father" who lived here.
...
Because the word he used is 親 oya, which gender-neutrally just means "parent". It's the root kanji used in such words as 母親 hahaoya for mother and 父親 chichioya for father.
...
My "Were Namekians supposed to be gender-neutral this whole time? Should we be using they/them for Namekians?" pondering intensifies.
But yeah, he did indicate that Katattsu used to live here.
Three, actually. But Hybis is not ready for that conversation. Even other Earthlings find it weird.
I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. But at least for right now, I like him. Kuu is adorable and I want good things for him.
I've been back and forth on whether this is supposed to be in-continuity with Super but I think this backstory, despite sort of contradicting what we know about Zenou, confirms it.
The reason I say that is because that's Gowasu in the top left corner. He was the mentor that tried to teach Zamasu.
How exactly Rymus is supposed to coexist as a concept with Zenou, I have no idea. But I wouldn't be surprised if they're, like, Zenou's parent or something.
I mean. I thought the plan was that you guys were going to go handle things with Gomah while Team Goku faces the Tamagami.
I guess we really did ditch Team Bulma in Makai #3 just to be rude. Oh well. Gang's all together now.

Aw love the new Joe content girly! Please can we get one where you and Joey b go to some sort of ~Hollywood party~ and it’s just really cute and people/the internet love how cute you 2 are together! Idk something along those lines
Red Carpet MVP -Joe burrow
Summary: Joes up more an MVP! most valuable partner according to magazines, and every news instagram on the planet
notes: EEE this is so exciting!! i love your energy thank you for requesting:) i also made up everyone’s dates names so
i have bunches of requests i apologize if this is rushed
all my y/n characters are going to be og bengals fans bc i am biased
the dress she wears on carpet: (ik its prom dressy just bare with me)
the suit he wears: (the shirt is cut all the way to the bully button and he has no tie, going scandalous lol)
Hours and hours of searching for an outfit to be the plus one on the red carpet is tiring. y/n was stressing out more than she had ever stressed out before. she wanted to impress joe, but more importantly impress all the eyes that would be on her and joe all night. the two had been dating for awhile but just now gone public, so the media is all over them like travis kelce and taylor swift.
she didn’t want to be too simple, because she was dating with THE fashion nova, joe burrow. but she also didn’t want to be too over the top, or overpower the spotlight that is one hundred percent made for her MVP.
Joe had asked her to pick a purple dress, feeling the mood to rock an all purple suit on the carpet, to which she happily obliged. and after hours of deciding she finally chose her dress.
it was light purple with ripples all to the bottom, she felt as if she was going to prom again, doing a spin in her dress as she watched the mirror she smiled. she couldn’t be happier than in this moment.
not even minutes later, joe knocks on the door and lets himself in. “are you ready ba-“ he stops in the middle of the door way, his under shirt was cut low, and the suit curved his body in a perfect way. his hair was longer, shaggy, and pushed to the side. he looked to y/n in shock
“you are the most stunning woman on the planet” he says, grabbing her hips and pulling her closer. “thank you mr. sheisty” she says with a smile
he laughs, taking her hand and gesturing a quick spin. “i love you” he says, dipping her and kissing her lips. “i love you too” she states, standing up and walking out of the door.
the limo ride there was quiet, mostly joe calming y/ns nerves and y/n freaking out even more. once they arrived to the venue, joe stepped out of the vehicle, holding the door open and putting out his hand, allowing his beautiful girlfriend to get out of the car, he linked arms with her after shutting the door and they made their way down the carpet
many football players, old and new, were already sitting around the carpet chatting, intervening, mingling. y/n observed the scenarios in-front of her and took a deep breath. “Joe joe! who is this? she’s gorgeous!” joe smiled, pulling her closer. answering their questions simply “my girlfriend” and continuing to walk through the carpet
interview after interview she was asked more questions than joe, but he didn’t mind. he knew how much getting in the spotlight would help towards her anxiety, and he didn’t enjoy spotlight much so it was a win win.
joe had met up with ja’marr, and some of the other boys, and y/n stood with their dates. “hi y/n!” ja’marrs girl said, a large smile on her face. her name was ruby and she and y/n were very close considering how much time joe and ja’marr spent with eachother. “hi rubes!” she smiled, pulling her into a hug. paparazzi stood around taking pictures of them
even as joe mingled with other teammates, and y/n mingled with their girls, joes hand never left y/n in some way. wether it was around her waist or holding her hand or even on her shoulder. paparazzi was loving it, taking pictures of his hand every place he put it. he opened doors for her, he held her close, he kissed her head even when she wasnt looking at him.
“i love you” he’d whisper, as soon as each of his friends began to talk to others and they were both free for even just a moment.
so many football players who she grew up watching were on this red carpet, and when joe left his friends to mingle with more people that’s when the anxiety started. “oh my goodness!” she squealed, her feet stomping on the ground excitedly. joe smiled at his girl, following her line of sight and meeting with her all time favorite football player
Aj green
“he retired? he’s here? why’s he here, joe i’m gonna freak out”
joe smiled, every time he had mentioned already meeting aj green y/n would freak out and have her tell him every detail. so when he heard aj would be at the red carpet, he just had to surprise his favorite girl.
“Aj!” joe called, y/n ran behind him, her stomach churning. “i hate you i hate you i hate you” she whispered only making joe laugh more. “hey!” aj said, walking up to them. “this is
y/n, my girlfriend” he smiled, stepping aside so y/n was in front of them. “hi…” y/n said, biting her tounge to keep herself from fan girling out.
joe introduced the two together more, and y/n was a giggling giddy mess.
paparazzi was eating them up, the cameras staying on them the whole night.
on instagram the world was freaking out. from loving their outfits, to screaming about how gentlemanly joe is, to freaking out about the way he looks at her. the world loved it.
after the party and the carpet, joe and y/n sat in their living room, scrolling through posts and comments laughing and smiling. “i love this” y/n smiled. “they love you” joe said, motioning her chin to face him. “but i love you more” he whispered, pulling her in to kiss her.
he was really the most valuable partner

My thoughts on Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1 (Spoilers)
Hi guys! I have reached astounding levels of brainrot over this season (having rewatched Polin scenes until I am blue in the face) so here I am going to air my thoughts out in probably an incoherent manner. Thank you!
Off the bat:
. Amazing, stunning, beautiful chemistry. Nicola and Luke are really the fucking MVPs. Their chemistry is undeniable to the point where I NEED MORE. It kind of seems like they didn't have enough scenes together, but maybe it just felt that way because of all the other plotlines going on.
. Speaking of plotlines, I am sorry to say that I found all of them unnecessary and dull. I just wanted more Polin, I couldn't stand the Featherington drama, Mondrich drama, Queen drama, or even Bridgerton drama. Francesa's story was probably the most significant, but I felt it was still very dull!
. However, that won't turn me off from loving this season because I have been waiting EONS for Polin to get together! Someone needs to sedate me!
. LET'S TALK ABOUT COLIN "MANWHORE" BRIDGERTON. I have to say that while I was with everyone else when the news broke and hated the idea, I honestly did not mind it. I found it a good and impactful way to show the difference between meaningless sex vs actual intimacy and love. I liked that Colin was exploring himself and thinking he had to be more "manly" like society dictates, but that his genuine and deep connection with Pen (literally his only real friend aside from his siblings) made that pale in comparison. I LOVED how he was trying to get it off at the brothel but couldn't even GET IT UP when having a threesome. That made me laugh! I was like DAMN girl Penelope you did a number on this man. He is Colin "17 cities" Bridgerton yet ONE kiss from a virgin is enough to turn his world upside down and make him question everything he knows???? Hmmm yeah more of that please.
. Oh, carriage scene. If I loved you less I might be able to talk about you more. I can only say that I've broken my rewind button. It’s got CRACK in it. COLIN'S FACE when he realizes that THIS is the woman I will devote myself to for the rest of my life. He is done with his gallivanting ways and wants to literally just be with one woman for the rest of his life. I feel like without his promiscuous ways and bravado in the earlier episodes, this realisation would not hit as hard. It's no longer just the puppy love that he had with Marina, or the vacant lust he had with other women on his travels, but a true, real, meaningful connection that makes him LOSE HIS MIND. I like that that distinction is VERY clear and leaves no room for doubt that he is CHOOSING her.
. I love that he is “experienced” and that she isn't, but she’s able to bring him to his knees with one kiss! That dynamic is always tea, I fear! Also, I LOVE that my girl Penelope is able to get her needs met by someone who KNOWS what he’s doing. I don’t know what people are saying by “they have no chemistry.” To me, they have chemistry falling out of their ass!
. That being said, I am so scared about the LW reveal!! Holy shit, they are engaged and she still hasn't told him!! Which is different in the books. But LW is different in the show + the Marina thing didn't happen in the books. However, I love that they made LW less scathing in this season. She actually compliments all the debutantes and is really more of a reporter over a tabloid (except for that little thing she wrote about Colin, lol! But she was right!). I feel like Colin's hatred for LW is a little overstated. LW saved him from being trapped in a loveless marriage full of lies. I am shaking to see how this goes! Bring on the angst!
. I actually surprisingly liked the Cressida and Eloise friendship, I liked how it became a vehicle to show another side to Eloise, a more tolerant, compassionate, and realistic side. I loved Eloise and Pen's relationship this season. While they are fighting, they still love and try to protect each other. It's really the secondary love story of the season. We love to see it. I just hope Eloise doesn't fuck with her too much in part 2! (Btw, hate that this season is split into two parts! How am I going to wait until June 13th??? Tf???)
. Also, am I the only one thinking that they are building to Cressida having feelings for Eloise? Their connection and Cressida's sincerity towards Eloise is a little too real. I feel like by going into her stifling home life, they are inching towards that. Also, I am guessing that Cressida will end up marrying Debling, who will be gone so much and won't put any demands on her, so it will more be a marriage of practicality that allows Cressida to explore her feelings. We shall see!
. LET ME JUST SAY I SCREAMED when Penelope put her hand in Colin's hair. I remember in an interview Nicola saying that it was her idea to do that. THANK THE HEAVENS FOR THIS WOMAN !!!!! Because that was actually the hottest part of the season, there I said it. I CHEERED!! And if that was improvised by them, then that means that LUKE'S SLUTTY FACE was also his design!! I cannot thank these two enough for their service to this country!! Also, give Nicola an Oscar right now. I have never seen a more realistic sex scene and depiction of female desire tbh (oh god the moans). Especially in Bridgerton. This was the most real and sincere sex scene they've had yet. Take all the awards!
. LET'S TALK ABOUT COLIN'S FEELINGS. I've seen some people say that the season felt off (which I understand, I think it's bc of all the unnecessary plotlines) because Colin's feelings developed too fast. Let me just say that I DO NOT AGREE. I thought this was an entirely natural and logical progression of events. Think about it. We are not watching a "friends to lovers" arc from scratch. They have had TWO SEASONS of the "friend" part. We have had to watch ignorance, rejection, obliviousness, and misunderstanding between these two. Finally, in their own season, all that groundwork (laid over multiple years) has the chance to come off. It's like a spark that finally lights the embers. Their love has been smouldering under the surface for so long and all it takes is a match (their kiss) to make it spark into flame. Colin has felt so deeply for Penelope for a long time, and indeed they are best friends. He has always admired her as a woman and friend and felt comfortable with her. It wasn't until he kissed her that he realised those feelings were much more layered than he supposed. The fact that he dreams about her and that kiss, and ends up growing regretful and jealous of helping Pen attract other men, is absolutely right. The fact that he tries to get over her by going back to brothels but it DOESN'T WORK is absolutely genius! His love and desire for her, and thereby the realization of his feelings for her, is what propels him to look into himself and find that what he has been trying to be has been a lie. It's in that scene where he's with all the other Rakes. He considers himself, at heart, to be a gentleman - unlike the rest of them, and unlike what he's been presenting. He realizes that all the escapades he had only afforded him vacant experiences. He knows the difference between shallow and real connection now. This is when he decides to stop being someone he's not and embrace himself finally, just as he embraces his feelings for Pen! It's a great moment for his character development. I will be the one to say that by the realization of his feelings for Pen, he comes to the realization of himself.
. ONE MORE THING. I have seen some viewers complain about Penelope being the one to "beg" Colin to kiss her. I think these are more new fans who don't know the books, but I am TIRED of seeing this. The fact that Penelope is finally voicing her desires to the object of her desire after never speaking her mind or asking for what she wants, IS empowering! She is finally taking control of her own destiny! Unabashedly asking for what she wants! Being truthful with herself and brave enough to voice it! That is my GIRL. I was so proud of her. It was at that moment Colin knew that he was fucked (look at his face after he decides to do it). MM HM. That is good shit. I don't see her "begging" for it to be degrading. This was a beautiful moment between two close friends who trust each other more than anything. And that was the match that sparked all those repressed and ignored feelings!
. ALSO, I do not understand why people wanted Penelope to fall on her face after the carriage! WTF? Sure, in the books it’s fine, but actually seeing it??? Do they realise how humiliating and painful that would be? I’m so glad they didn’t do that in the show (and I hope it doesn’t happen in the next part). She is TINY, and do you see that huge ass gap between the carriage and the ground? If she fell, she would scrape her whole hands and face and it would be bloody. Why do people want Pen to suffer in humiliation even more?? It would not be funny.
. ACTUAL LAST THING: I actually LOVED Colin’s dream confession to Penelope, maybe as much as the carriage confession! “I’ve not been able to sleep, to eat, to speak…these days. My entire thoughts consumed by our kiss, by you.” I just loved Luke’s delivery of these lines. Btw, that dream was horny af!
. So, in this way, I don't really understand the complaints about Colin or Polin in this season. I thought it was very well done and well acted. The only complaint is that I needed MORE. MOREEEEE
Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. I'm afraid I have nothing to say about the other storylines because I was resisting the urge to skip them the whole time. My heart lies with Polin and that's what I am focusing on. Thank you for reading!
#I NEEDDD TO BE PUT DOWN#and i need to drop this here bc reddit is a pain in my ass#i can't do shit ova there#bridgerton spoilers#bridgerton season 3#bridgerton#polin#mine

Major Takeaways I had from my first tournament
T’au are fighting an uphill battle right now. It’s sad, but true that right now we don’t have much that hits hard and we don’t have much staying power
1st turn is REALLY important for how we play. Since Kauyon doesn’t kick in till turn 3, the difference between 2 and 3 rounds of getting shot at is significant when it comes to your Kauyon Output. Plan accordingly to hide if you get 2nd turn
Strategic Reserves are your friends. Especially when fighting Space Marines, you need to keep your big targets off the table at the start of the game. My Stormsurge was Oath of Moment’d in 2 of my 3 games before it could get a single round of shooting off. If you’re playing a big crisis bomb or Stormsurge you need to keep it in reserves until you know you can shoot with it
Ghostkeel and Piranhas are our MVPs. I’m not including Tetras here because they’re Forgewold and hard to get, but these two did WORK. The durability of the Ghostkeel on my Home Objective is what made me present a challenge at all to my opponents, and the two Seeker Missiles on each Piranha plus the drone harassment are crucial to hurting enemy vehicles and knocking opponents off of objectives for secondaries
Ethereals are worth it for the CP alone. I had two Ethereals, one leading a strike team, the other alone, and the extra CP generation gave me some much needed flexibility. It allowed me to use great stratagems like Tank Shock and Grenades that I otherwise wouldn’t have the CP for. Plus if you put a gun drone on them, they act as a pretty good action monkey once you bring them in from Strategic reserves
STEALTH SUITS. Between the rerolls of 1s to wound for guided units, to Infiltrating with Stealth, to bring a cheap source Markerlights guiding, to the FREE once per game Rapid Ingress, this is a must have unit. I ran 3 minimum strength units and will likely be doing so indefinitely
Our enhancements are great! I used Exemplar of the Kauyon, Puretide Engram Neurochip (PEN for short) and Through Unity, Devastation and all of them came in clutch at different points of my games. In particular, the PEN was fantastic as it allowed me to Rapid Ingress 2 Crisis Bombs (for FREE with the Stealth suits) on my opponent’s turn two when I went second and it gave me the possibility to Overwatch a second time as well
It’s still possible to have fun in 10th. I lost 2/3 games, but my second loss went 54-56 and was one of the best 40K games I’ve ever played. Play your best, aim to have fun and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t do well. We got this, Shas’os!
For my personal list, I’m likely going to revise the armament of my second crisis team to have Fusion Blasters and Missile Pods as the Burst Cannons and Flamers are just useless against anything T5 or higher and might swap out the Coldstar commander for a Crisis Commander as the reroll 1s might be worth the lost movement and assault if I’m Rapid Ingressing the unit anyways

MARCH 8, 2000
“Girlfriend, you were on fire!”
You hugged Sarah's sweaty body against your chest tightly, swaying her back and forth in excitement.
“You’re—squeezin’ me too tight!”
The girl struggled, and you released her from your hold.
“Shit, sorry. Got excited. Seriously, you rocked out there, Smiles.”
You nudged her shoulder, and Sarah beamed, turning towards her father and uncle, who were gazing at her with equally as impressed expressions.
“MVP over here! Way to go, kiddo.”
Uncle Tommy tousled her hair playfully, and she swatted at his hand with a laugh. Joel knelt down slightly and Sarah immediately rushed into his hold, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Good game, baby girl. ‘M so proud of you.”
You watched on, smiling softly to yourself at the interaction. You pulled at the windbreaker on your body as the breeze picked up. Families and players were quickly clearing off the field, and you took note of the setting sun as you turned back to the group.
“Can we go get pizza, now?”
Sarah whined, and Uncle Tommy chuckled to himself, reaching down to pick up the girl’s soccer bag and slinging it over his shoulder.
“‘Course we can. But your old man’s buyin’.”
Joel scoffed good-naturedly, turning to follow the two back towards the parking lot. He glanced over his shoulder to find you staring down at your phone screen with a frown, brows furrowed in concern.
“Everythin’ alright?”
He asked quietly, letting some distance form between him and Tommy and Sarah. You shook your head, as if trying to clear fog from your eyes, blinking rapidly, and looked up at him.
“Sorry—what?”
“I said, is everythin’ okay?”
Joel tried again, stepping closer to you as worry crested his features. You let out a breath, slipping your phone into the back pocket of your jeans.
“I—yeah. Yeah, everything’s—everything’s fine. S’just—my mom hasn’t answered the phone since we left this morning, which is...weird.”
The statement loomed in the air, heavy and daunting.
“That... doesn’t usually happen, then?”
Joel questioned, and you shook your head fervently.
“No. She—I always make sure to check in with her every hour, and now it’s been—it’s been six.”
He could see the way your chest was beginning to rise and fall a bit faster now, and he reached out to rest a soothing hand on your shoulder.
“Hey, ‘m sure everythin’s fine, Y/N. Probably just fell asleep, or somethin’, right?”
You drew in a breath, before nodding slowly. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders as you started walking back up the hill towards your vehicles, where Tommy and Sarah were waiting in the distance.
“I’m probably gonna head home, just to check. It’s an hour long drive from here, and after—”
“You should go, darlin’. Sarah won’t mind. We’ll bring you some food for when get back, alright?”
You smiled gratefully at him, leaning into his side as you ventured onward.
It wasn’t even a full hour later when Joel received the phone call.
It was your name on the screen, buzzing with an incoming call. He finished his sip of beer, listening to Sarah ramble theatrically as he picked up the phone.
“Hey, sweet thing. You get home okay?”
“Is this Mister Joel Miller?”
The voice was foreign to him, a woman he didn’t recognize, and he immediately got up from the table and walked towards a quieter corner of the bar.
Sarah immediately silenced at her father’s abrupt departure, watching his expression shift as the phone call went on. She couldn’t read his lips very well, or take stock of every emotion that registered on his face, but one thing was for sure—something was very wrong.
Moments later, he rejoined them at the table, reaching for his keys and jacket.
“Dad, what—what happened?”
Sarah asked weakly, eyes wide and fearful. Her fingers latched onto the sleeve of his canvas jacket as he slipped it on. He looked down at her with a frown on his face, bending down slightly so she could hear him over the hubbub in the crowded space.
“You’re gonna spend the night at Uncle Tommy’s, alright?”
Her face fell. It's not that she didn’t like spending time with her uncle, but that meant...
Tommy’s gaze snapped towards his brother in confusion, brows furrowed, but when he saw the look that Joel gave him, it told him everything he needed to know.
“Sounds like fun, huh, kiddo?”
Tommy smiled warmly at his niece, but she didn’t tear her eyes away from her dad's face.
“What happened, Dad?”
Joel inhaled deeply through his nose, steeling himself, before leaning down and pressing a kiss to her temple.
“Everything’s gonna be okay, baby girl. Promise.”
The man quickly figured out why he was lucky enough not to get pulled over on his way home, having exceeded the speed limit an average of 20mph the entire way—every goddamn cop in the state of Texas seemed to have congregated on his block.
Red and blue lights illuminated the slick asphalt as he slowly rolled down the street, narrowly passing between the rows of parked police vehicles on either side of the street. The tires of his pickup thumped as he passed over the curb into his driveway, throwing his car into park before rushing out the door with a slam.
Face pelted with raindrops, he jogged towards the center of the chaos—the small two-story suburban house that had become his daughter’s second home for almost a year. He approached a uniformed women standing in the driveway, her hands on her hips as she observed the bustling activity of both police and EMTs in and out of the front door.
“Where is she?”
Joel's voice cut through the noise, and the woman spun around, startled at the sudden intrusion. Somehow, Joel knew this was the woman he spoke to on your cell.
“You Mister Miller?”
She quirked a brow, and the man nodded firmly, the cold sprinkle of rain beginning to dampen his tousled hair. The officer’s face softened as she reached into her pocket, offering Joel the cell phone she had borrowed. He took it in his hands, the weight of it accompanying the growing gravity of the situation on his broad shoulders.
“She’s on the back porch. Won’t move, won’t speak to anyone. Asked if there was someone we should call, and all should could manage was your name.”
Joel followed her around the side of the house, between their shared side yard, his boots sinking slightly in the damp grass. When they made it to the back door, his stomach dropped—you were sitting on the rickety wooden steps that led up to the back porch, arms wrapped around your knees and vacant eyes staring straight ahead at nothing.
The man let out a stuttering exhale, turning back to the woman beside him.
“What happened?”
He asked quietly, and the officer shook her head.
“Eight years on the force, and I ain’t never seen anything like it. Suicide, but—fucking brutal. Wrote on the walls with blood and everything. Poor girl, her momma—musta been real messed up in the head.”
“Why all the cops? If there wasn’t a crime or nothin’—”
The woman shuddered, lips pursed.
“Needed to document everythin’. Like I said, the stuff in there—woman was seriously disturbed. This was planned, without a doubt. We gotta secure the scene and the cleanup team’s gotta clear the place out. Not gonna be ready for inhabitance until the morning, at the very least.”
He mulled this over in his head, mind wandering at what possible atrocities lie within those walls.
“The kid wouldn’t talk to us—any chance you know what was wrong with her mom?"
“Paranoid schizophrenic and agoraphobic.”
Joel had never met your mother, nor did you speak about her often, but he had overheard your phone calls with her psychiatrists and picked up some prescriptions for you on occasion.
“Nasty combo. We tried to get the girl to go to the hospital for a psych eval, but she wouldn’t budge. You got some place she could stay, maybe get warm?”
Joel nodded, unsurprised to hear of your refusal. He glanced at you again, your posture and expression unyielding. He thanked the officer for her time before slowly making his way over to you, hands buried in his pockets. He stopped a few feet in front, unsure of the best way to approach the situation. He wasn’t particularly experienced when it came to offering comfort to others—particularly in situations such as this. But, he figured, if he were to make an exception for anyone, it would be for you.
He closed the gap between the two of you, squatting down until his gaze was level with yours. He took great care not to startle you, attempting to grab your attention by reaching up and gingerly resting a calloused hand on your forearm. Your eyes, which had previously been staring straight through him, regained their focus, and after several blinks in rapid succession, your gaze zeroed in on his face.
“Cowboy.”
Your voice was thick and hoarse, as it hadn’t been used in awhile. The corners of your eyes crinkled as you smiled softly up at him, studying his solemn expression carefully.
“Did Sarah get her victory pizza?”
Your calmness was unsettling. He knew you were in shock—could see it in the misting of your eyes, the vacancy in your expression, the sluggishness of your responses. He lifted his hand again to brush a strand of your wet hair from your eyes, tucking it behind your ear. In any other instance, you would've blushed at the intimacy of the action; now, you continued to simply watch his movements.
“Yeah, she did. Missed you, though.”
You frowned.
“I know, I wish I coulda come, but I had to—”
Your voice trailed off slightly, as if suddenly dazed. Your eyes cast downward as your brows furrowed, as if trying to remember something from long ago. Your exhale was shaky as you sighed, tears finally starting to sting the back of your eyes.
“—oh, God—”
“Come on, sweet girl. Let’s get you outta this rain.”
He reached for your shoulder and coaxed you to your feet, your arms wrapping around your abdomen in a protective stance. You followed him blindly, letting him guide your across the grass and to his front door as the rain began to escalate into a torrential downpour.
He opened the door for you, gesturing for your entry, and you begrudgingly stepped into the threshold, shivering from the dampness of your clothes. The door clicked shut behind Joel as he filed in behind you, stalking towards the staircase. When he turned around to make sure you were following, you were stationary, arms hugging yourself as you stood your ground, body trembling and jaw quivering.
“Come on, sweetheart. What’re you waitin’ for?”
You frowned again, your eyes looking at him incredulously.
“’M soaked. Gonna get the floor all wet.”
You grumbled, and the man threw his head back with a sigh, trying to be patient with your obstinance. He walked back over to you, kneeling down in front of your body. Your brows furrowed, but he quickly gestured for you to lift up a leg, which you immediately obliged to. He began dutifully unlacing your sneaker, slipping it off your foot followed closely by your wet sock, before repeating the process on the other side. He placed your discarded footwear beside the door and stood again, offering you his hand. You accepted Joel’s invitation, his large fingers gripping yours as he lead you up the stairs and into the (his) master bedroom.
He released your hand momentarily, leaving you briefly as he disappeared inside his closet, emerging moments later with a worn Beatles T-shirt and a pair of black basketball shorts. He offered them to you, and you grabbed them mindlessly, body still shuddering with tremors every once and awhile.
“You wanna shower?”
He offered softly, trying to catch your eye, but you just shook your head in response, and he nodded.
“Well, at least go and put somethin’ dry on. I’ll be here when you’re done.”
“Y’know, if you wanted to see me naked, all you had to do was ask.”
Your voice was small, but relief washed over Joel as you cracked the joke, thankful you still had at least some amount of fire within you to be teasing him. His cheeks darkened slightly as he rolled his eyes.
“The bathroom, Y/N. Go on.”
You shook your head slightly, a barely-there smile on your lips. Joel let out a long sigh when the bathroom door clicked shut behind you, sitting down on the edge of his bed and running a tired hand down his face. The flashing of red and blue lights peeked through the cracks between the blinds on the window, and got up to draw the curtains closed before reentering his closet to change out of his own damp clothes.
Your shirt stubbornly clung to your body as you pulled it off, the skin beneath dappled with residual rain and sweat. Without much thought, your wet sports bra joined your discarded shirt on the floor before you slipped the large tee over your head. It was big—you practically drowned in it, but the slightly threadbare fabric was soft, and somehow, it smelled like Joel, which filled you with a deep sense of comfort. Your jeans were the worst to take off, scraping at your legs as you peeled them down, slipping the mesh black shorts over your hips and tying them tightly in order to get them to stay up.
You were standing in front of the closed bathroom door when he reemerged, holding your neatly folded clothes in your arms, looking lost and confused. Joel walked towards you and your eyes met his, soft and sympathetic—it made you feel small. He took the clothes from you before gesturing towards the queen-sized bed.
“I’ll be right back.”
As Joel left the room, presumably to stick your clothes in the dryer, you felt yourself grow uncharacteristically bashful. It was one thing to shamelessly flirt with the man in order to ruffle his feathers, but it was a completely different thing to be wearing his clothes and crawling into his bed. He felt sorry for you—that was the truth, you knew. He was trying to help in the only way he knew how. The same way he would take care of Sarah.
Because you were only just a kid.
He returned once more to find you laying atop the blankets, curled into the fetal position on the far right side of the bed, as if afraid to take up too much space. He could tell just by the way your body was shaking that you were crying.
A warm hand pressed in the space between your shoulders, and you flinched, but the soothe of his voice eased your heightened senses.
“It’s alright, darlin’. Come here.”
You rolled over at his request where he had pulled the covers back, inviting you to lay beneath them. You scooted closer, sliding your bare legs between the cotton sheets as he pulled the blankets back over you, carefully tucking them beneath your chin. You didn’t dare look at him, staring straight up at the white ceiling, afraid that you may burst into sobs at any moment.
Joel stayed seated beside you on the edge of the bed, carefully watching the pained expression on your face. Your eyes glistened with unshed tears, cheeks flushed pink. After adjusting the blankets for you, he let his hands rest on the left side of your collarbone, on the junction between your shoulder and your neck. Neither of you spoke for several minutes, tension hanging heavy in the room.
“It’s my fault, you know.”
Small and uncertain, your voice rang out, and Joel squeezed his eyes shut tight at your admittance.
“Don’t say that, that’s not—”
“It is true.”
You insisted, pressing your head back into the plush of the pillow.
“She’s—she’d been cheeking her pills, Joel. I was always so careful to make sure she took them, and I keep the bottle in the glovebox of my car so she can’t get it when I’m not home, but... we thought she was doing better, but it—she just wasn’t taking them anymore. Said she hated the way they made her feel, made her brain feel cloudy, but—she didn’t understand.”
The man stayed quiet, looking down on you carefully as tears slipped down your cheeks. He wanted to protest, to interject, but he knew you needed to get this off your chest before it suffocated you. All he could do was sit and listen.
“They—they said she’s stuck them under her mattress. Said—she’d been planning this, Joel. Saved the pills for when she was ready, when she’d have time to pull it off, and—God, there was blood everywhere. She wrote on the walls. Don’t come upstairs, in big block letters. For me. She—she didn’t want me to be the one to come find her—”
A strangled sob escaped from your lungs, overwhelming your words as you began to break down.
“Oh, babygirl.”
Joel laid down beside you as you clung to his bicep with all of your might, tears drenching the sleeve of his gray shirt. His other arm came to cradle the back of your head, holding you close against him as you wept.
“She—they said it was the blood loss that did it. She—cut her arms real good with a kitchen knife before she took all the pills and got in the tub. Said—said she wanted to be sure it worked.”
Your breathing was labored and strained, huge gulping breaths sucked in between stuttering sobs, voice muffled from being pressed into Joel's side.
“She left a note. Practically wrote an entire fuckinm’ manifesto about how the world is gonna end and—and how she doesn’t wanna be around when it does.”
The man tried to keep his own breathing slow and even, hoping the steady rise and fall of his chest would help keep you grounded in reality. Your fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt as you shook.
“She asked me to come with her, Joel. She wrote about how she doesn’t want me to have to live through it, too.”
That one broke something in him. He pulled you into his chest tightly, turning so your entire body was enveloped in his hold, warm and comforting and steady. You breathed him in, face pressed into his torso as you listened to the steady rhythmic beating of his heart.
His hand carded through your tangled hair, his other hand rubbing soothing circles along the soft expanse of your back. It took close to half an hour for you to calm down, the frantic mourning eventually slowing into soft, shaky exhales.
You pulled away from him slightly, face splotched with redness and moisture dotting your complexion. You looked up at him, his hazel eyes searching your face, lips downturned in a concerned frown. He reached up and wiped a stray tear from your face, jaw rippling as he clenched his teeth.
“I’m sorry, Joel.”
You started, voice thick with emotion. The man shook his head forcefully, ending your apology before it even began.
“None a’ that. Please. Got no reason to apologize. Just—wish there was somethin’ I could do to make it go away.”
Your lip quivered again, and you scrunched up your nose, trying to prevent a fresh wave of sadness from overtaking you. Instead, you offered a sheepish, lopsided half-smile.
“If only magic kisses could fix this kinda stuff, too, huh?”
Something shifted in his expression, then—something indiscernible, something that made your heart lurch in your chest. A sort of resolve in his eyes, the set of his jaw.
Your smile faded and your mouth parted as you felt his large hand cradle the back of your head—eyelids fluttering shut, his lips met yours with the most tender, featherlight brush of a kiss. The coarse slide of his stubble against your chin sent sparks down the expanse of your body, burning straight beneath your skin and sizzling all the way to your fingertips. As soon as it started, it was over, his rugged mouth leaving the hot chase of your lips as he pulled his face back.
You were practically panting, eyes searching his in pure disbelief. You could still feel the singe of his breath against your cheeks and you studied you with hooded eyes, almost waiting to gauge your reaction.
“Still magic?”
His gruff voice managed, barely above a whisper, and the corners of your lips tweaked up at the corners.
“Dunno. We might have to try a few more times, just to make sure.”
When you closed your eyes again, however, you felt the press of his lips against your hairline, brushing over your forehead briefly. You blinked once, then twice, and when you looked at him again, there was an unfamiliar sadness in his gaze.
“Go to sleep, Y/N.”
He urged, and something about the command made you suddenly aware of the exhaustion weighing on your limbs. You let your head sink back into the crook of his neck, feeling the warm press of skin against your nose as you finally let yourself drift off.
JULY 12, 2000
Joel was grateful for an escape from the scorching sunlight, the echoing of children’s screaming and laughter reverberating around him as he walked into the fenced-in public pool, searching for his daughter and her babysitter.
The pool was large, in an L-shape, with a diving board on one end and the shallow area on the other. It was packed today, as it was the perfect way to beat the summer heat and to keep the restless kids of the neighborhood entertained. Practically every lounge chair was occupied, and Joel’s eyes searched the crowd in hopes of locating familiar faces. He’d promised Sarah (and you) that he’d join you at the pool that afternoon after he and Tommy finished up some more work on their latest project, and he had finally finished half-an-hour ago, now sporting his blue swimming trunks and a white T-shirt, a pair of aviator sunglasses resting on his nose.
He wandered towards the other end of the space, his eyes briefly pausing on the body of a young woman, her long slender legs stretched out along the chaise, one arm lifted lazily above her eyes to shield her face from the sun. The thin fabric of her bright yellow bikini only covered the intimate parts of her body, accentuating the softness of her curves and leaving her sweat-shining skin on display. Joel should’ve noticed he was staring, but when her arm lifted from blocking her face, he felt his jaw go slack.
“Howdy there, cowboy.”
You called out, squinting in the harsh light to make out Joel’s figure standing a few feet away. He approached you cautiously, letting the beach towel in his right arm fall onto the unoccupied chair to your left.
“Glad you could make it.”
Joel huffed out a laugh, sitting down beside you for a moment as you turned your neck to face him, your hands coming to rest on the skin of your toned stomach. He swallowed.
“Too fuckin’ hot out here today.”
Joel grumbled, slipping out of his sandals. You laughed at his clear surliness, casting your eyes away to focus in on Sarah at the other end of the pool.
“Smiles is over there, made a few new friends. Time to reapply sunscreen in—”
You check the watch on your wrist.
“—twenty-one minutes.”
Joel’s lips quirked, grateful for your attentiveness for his daughter. He reached for the bottom hem of his shirt before pulling it over his head, flinging it to the side before adjusting the sunglasses on his nose. Your eyes briefly skimmed over the newly-exposed skin, the broad expanse of his chest and the dark happy trail that extended down his navel and disappeared into his shorts. You tore your eyes away quickly when he turned to face you again.
“You’re not gonna put on sunscreen?”
You questioned, quirking your brow, and Joel rolled his eyes.
“Did you?”
He questioned, his gaze trailing down the length of your body once again, briefly stalling on the valley of your breasts before finding your face again.
“No, but that’s because I’m trying to get a tan.”
Joel shook his head, but reached for the spray can of sunblock nonetheless, making a very careless effort to cover his body before setting it back down. You watched his half-assed attempt with an amused grin, before something sparked your memory.
“Oh, by the way... I’m staying.”
Joel paused briefly, confusion passing over his face.
“Here, I mean. Texas. Dad said he’d keep payin’ for the house if I wanted to stay here, at least ‘til school’s over.”
The man’s eyes brightened.
“Son of a bitch. You’re kiddin’.”
“Nope.”
You popped the P sound, relieved to be sharing the good news.
“Can’t get ridda me that easy.”
Joel chuckled.
“No complaints here. I’m glad—er, we’re glad you’re stayin’. Woulda been hard on Sarah for you move away.”
Your eyes sparkled with mischief, watching the way his eyes carefully avoided yours, his words skillfully dodging his true intentions.
“Just on her?”
He met your eyes, then, studying your face with a forcibly neutral expression—you could’ve sworn there was something resembling longing just beneath the surface of his guise. Joel looked away quickly, but not before his eyes stole another glance down at your perfect breasts, almost of their own volition
“I’ll yell for you when it’s time for Sarah to reapply.”
You granted him the mercy of changing the subject. Joel grunted in response, standing to go join his daughter. He watched you roll from your back onto your stomach, your swimsuit exposing the round globes of your ass. He reluctantly tore his gaze away, turning to leave.
“And, cowboy?”
You called back to him, and when he turned to face you, you beckoned him closer with a come hither motion. He stood beside you, hands on his hips, looking down at you expectantly.
“Just, for future reference...”
You started, sitting up slightly to lean in towards him conspiratorially, and he leaned down slightly to hear you better.
“...those sunglasses aren’t reflective.”
Joel’s brows furrowed, but when the implications of your statement dawned on him, he felt his face flush. Before he could try to defend himself, you turned your face away, settling back into a comfortable position.
A few brief moments passed before his footsteps could be heard stalking away from you. As much as you tried to prevent it, you couldn’t stop the triumphant smirk from overtaking your face—yeah, you had definitely just caught Joel Miller checking you out.

Anyway, here we see Locke, returning home after a long night in the valley. We don't know exactly where he's coming from, whether it's work or a party. Locke works in Professional Sports, he's currently a League MVP (Level 8), his traits are Good Sense of Humor, Technophobe, Vehicle Enthusiast, Excitable and Artistic. Quite a combination!
Close up of Locke with the first hairstyle I tried for him (the same as his father's). I changed it later because it didn't convince me. Now, how and when was Locke born, if I never played with the Wolffs and I don't use Story Progression? Well, I guess for this particular save I might have used Nraas/Wohooer/Autonomous Try for Baby, or Autonomous Risky Woohoo. I can't find any other explanation. 😄
Arriving home, and after sleeping only a couple of hours, Locke changed into his athletic clothes to go jogging like every morning. His wife, Felicity, is playing video games - for a change.

Criminal Clarkes AU
BECUZ LISTEN I was really tickled with the crimes tierlist @kindheartedgummybears posted. This isn't necessarily related to that but it's what got me started imagining the Clarkes as a ✨family heist ring✨ because literally yes.
I'm thinking they're mainly burglars, aiming for the safes but cleaning up whatever else they find along the way. They're always planning occasional high stakes burglaries like banks and museums (shoot for the stars amirite) but more often they do smaller house burglaries and sometimes bank robberies for quick money (I want them to have range lol).
Breakdown of everyone's roles under cut, I think I'm a genius:
ANNE - Mastermind, doesn't get her hands dirty much but she's the best at keeping everyone organized. She generally takes a backseat during the actual heists and might not be there at all if it's low risk, but she'll always go along for the big ones because she's excellent at sensing danger and predicting people's next moves, and also because she can easily identify valuables and knows what's worth stealing
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 2% (Stranger things have happened, but really no one would dare)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 30% (She could be convinced, sometimes she wishes she was a lone wolf. But she'll get revenge on whoever made her do it)
JAMES - Second-in-command, sources the supplies and vehicles and such and heads the heists. Way too jumpy ofc (he's this close to making a stupid move in any charged atmosphere), but he's the most attentive to safety, trying to minimize risk beforehand and making sure all the evidence is disposed of and everything
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 40% (He's not a fan favorite)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 25% (But he's already planning how to break them out of jail)
TANYA - Information gatherer in the planning stage, the inside lookout during the heist, and the impromptu distraction if some guard or a neighbor gets suspicious. She goes undercover sometimes to scope out the joints and is basically the public relations member, charming enough to extract a lot of critical information without arousing suspicion
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 5% (Not if Dennis has any say)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 85% (She would, be real)
DENNIS - The muscle ofc. He keeps the hostages in line during a robbery, and during burglaries he's usually the first one to enter to make sure it's clear for the others. He also carries the crowbars and other supplies, but nobody trusts him with the nitroglycerin
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 15% (He's strong, right? He can take of himself...probably)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 35% (They said they would come for him! And then 10 years go by. But he'll believe you if you say they won't get in trouble, so he'll spill a name or two)
ANTHONY - The getaway driver, was there ever any question? He helps with a lot of the prepwork to plan a smooth getaway but he doesn't go in with the others during the heists, he's the outside lookout. And if something goes wrong for everyone inside (say, somebody let Dennis handle the nitroglycerin) he'll be stuck outside helpless to do anything and he'll feel guilty and experience all the horrors of being the lone survivor years down the line but he'll do it from inside a prison complex because he actually was a criminal this time
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 10% (Only by mistake. If he gets left it's because everyone thought he was with someone else)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 15% (Was it on purpose? Who knows what goes on in that brain of his)
MEGAN - MVP, they'd be nowhere without her precision. She's the one to disable the cameras and alarms and crack the safes (her favorite method is torching). Unmatched sticky fingers and maximum stealth, and gets no appreciation. She's not at the scene during bank robberies, she's on the other side of town committing arson to distract the cops
Likelihood of getting left behind in a panic: 3% (Everyone would have to answer to Anne)
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 60% (It's their fault that she doesn't feel like part of the team)
VINCE - Normie, not usually involved but he'll run errands and buy the newspapers if the gang is in hideout
Likelihood of ratting out the others for a reduced sentence: 2% (It would get Tanya in trouble)
~
If anyone has different ideas or anything to add I'd love to hear it 😁

I totally agree about challengers take. Boys get much more attention, even their friendship/bromance relationship. Tashi was used like vehicle to connect this all. Tashi character herself was touched surfacesly. I will say rn something that will not get along with many: like ppl talking "camera love Zendaya" it's true she have pretty face and skinny long body, like it's big adventure when u one of most attractive actress out there. U don't even need act sometimes, just looks cute or pose and looks mysterious in frame aka hello dune1. Z use this very well in her career.
Back to challengers to me mvp of film was Josh, just different between him in real life and film is shocking. Mike and z very close race but z probably last but she was great too.
Interesting takes Anon. I mean honestly? The camera LOOVVVVES Z. That's one thing I noticed in this "Challengers" film. For once, she was playing an ADULT, and she wasn't covered in sand lol, or toned down in her womanhood. The closeups on her face were just....BEAUTIFUL! I'm like, "wow, her skin is so FLAWLESS and gorgeous!"
I can see why Z wanted a film like this. For once, she wasn't playing a drug addict, a teenager, or a sand warrior lol... She could just "play" and be a WOMAN, and be sexy, fierce, athletic, ruthless, a villain, girly, fun, and passionate ALL in ONE movie. I LOVE it! 😄😁
I can def understand if some wanted more Tashi characterization. I get that. Nothing wrong with having an honest critique about a film. 😊

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you. Learn to know your mutuals and followers.
Thank you for this lovely ask, Mizz!!!
5 Things Making Me Happy in These Trying Times
Coffee: all-time MVP, undefeated, indispensable - those three sips that are at the perfect temperature are carrying so much weight
Pals: also always true, and I've gotten to spend some good time talking and hanging with many of my closest people this summer (ex: got a video call from my best friend and godson yesterday; godson told me he'd been to a parade and seen "vehicles": huge if true)
Cherries: I got a bag of them this week, and they are really good - totally worth it
The X-Files: my partner and I are doing our semi-annual rewatch, and I am wrapped in the comfort of weapons-grade chemistry, inscrutable dramatic monologues, and 90s hairlines
Writing: that isn't always true, but it is right now, and I'm so grateful

A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) dir. Steven Spielberg. 7.7/10
I wouldn't recommend this movie to my friends. I would rewatch this movie.
Haley Joel Osment is really so cute here. Hello Mad Eye Moody. They really made Jude Law look so much more artificial.
Teddy is such a weird construct. I kinda want one. But cuter. Teddy is also a homie. He's also Mvp mvp. Wow, Dr. Know is the AI I need. I'm liking all these vehicles. Yo, this movie crazy.
I honestly feel like the smarter and less torturous move was to take David back to Cybertronics. Dad, why did you bring David if you're just gonna question the kid? The flesh fair is terrible. I can't with Rouge City.
Noo at dropping Teddy. Thank goodness he was fine.
Lol, David seems aged after finding out there are more Davids. You're telling me that the professor just works in this destructed Manhattan? What is the commute to work like? How is David so waterproof? I knew this wasn't going to be a happy movie, but goddamn.
