There was never an intention by Lincoln or Johnson or anyone in the post-civil war USA to punish the Confederate states. Why? Because the economics of reuniting the states on a "Business level" made more sense than punishing the Confederate states for their Treason. Yes, there were "carpetbaggers" from all directions, descending upon the torn and destroyed South, in order to make $millions restructuring or simply Stealing the resources of the Confederacy (minus the slaves, of course) and the potential business gains after the blood & dust settled into the ground. It's about $money, $commerce and $business... Not morality or even a very cheap imitation of morality. And Business is the ONLY reason that the Civil War occurred. Think about it....Slavery didn't cost the southern plantation owners for the slave's labor. That was free. Just in that sense, the so-called 1% of that era, controlled the economy before the Civil War and they intended to do so, After the Civil War. They just had to work around the new government with President Andrew Johnson and the infamous "Reconstruction era". Every phucking war the USA has EVER fought was for control of the economy and the wealthy Business and Bank Interests. PERIOD.

There's no need to restate all of the above, as if a large group of people in US America don't already know this. Unless and Until this world of X Billion humans have a moment of clarity about Existence and living together in peace, we'll be doing this game until we destroy ourselves and ultimately all life here on planet Earth. This world will be what we've thought Mars has been: A barren wasteland desert..... And now, there's crazy billionaires that want to go to Mars to "start a new civilization" of humans where there will need to be "Cooperation, Sharing, Peace, and Compassion" for the planet to be a new home. How messed up is that?? Utopia can't be achieved by using Dystopian processes.
