he puts his cold fingers on your face, making sure that it was actually you, right there, in that moment.

you woke up in the morning, feeling a heavy weight on your arm.

hanako had been clinging onto you for the past few hours, making sure you didn't escape from his grasp.

he had a small put on his face, and seeing that you woke up, he pulled you closer to him and pout his face in your chest, blushing slightly.

"Thank you for being with me."

Kou Minamoto

kou had a dream where you had died from a supernatural because he wasn't strong enough to protect you.

he watched you being torn, screaming, because of his incompetence.

he shot straight upright in his bed, and after recognizing the familiar surroundings, he lowered himself back into the comfort of his blankets.

bundled up, he tossed and turned in the sheets for a while, heart racing out of his chest.

poor guy had the whole scene replaying in his mind over and over again :(

after the heavy feeling in his chest got too much for him to bear, he got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to drink a glass of water to cool him down.

kou would probably have too much pride to show up at your door about a nightmare.

so he just sat down at his couch, scrolling through the tv trying to find something to help him wind down.

oh, but he would definitely stick to you aalllllllllllll day during school.

"You wouldn't die on me, right?"

Sousuke Mitsuba

his dream was about his death. everything, from the beginning to the end. the excruciating pain, to the heartbreak of seeing his mom kneeling over his hospital bed.

and then there was you.

his only ever friend.

and slowly, you forgot about him.

you went on about life, as if he had never existed.

and that hurt more than being run over 1000 times with a car.

he slowly blinked himself awake, bringing his trembling hands to his face to wipe the tears out of his eyes.

looking forward, he saw you under the delicate moonlight, sleeping soundly.

he caressed your cheek, feeling more tears well up in his eyes, thinking about the fact that you would stay with him, even with all his imperfections.

the fact that he could be himself around you.

the fact that you chose him over anyone else.

you slowly woke up to the sound of faint crying.

mitsuba, seeing that you had woken up, began crying even harder, embarrassed.

the rest of the night was spent with him in your arms as you stroked his hair gently, offering words of encouragement.

"I'd miss you if you died."

Awww, this is such a cute question!! I’m gonna do my main ones to keep this short but if you want to hear my takes on any others feel free to lmk!!

Aoinene

• Gotta do the gay moms first

• Unsure of whether they’d have a son or a daughter…either way these too are gonna adore their kid

• Aoi would be the strict mom, her own mother seems to be pretty controlling and she gives me “turning into your parent” vibes. She’d try to acknowledge when that behavior goes too far tho and eventually try to loosen up a little. She’s not the first they go to when they’re in trouble but she gives the best advice; and she doesn’t really get mad or yell, more-so she gets stern

• Nene would be the exact opposite. She’s not a regular mom, she’s a cool mom/ref. Definitely the type to take her kid on spontaneous shopping trips and not tell Aoi until they’ve already splurged. It’s okay tho because Aoi can’t stay mad at her wife. She buys her kid extra treats every time she stops by the store, and takes them for ice cream every Friday

• As they’ve both had their own mental health struggles, they would check in a lot with their child to make sure they’re doing okay

• Their family might struggle with communication because, well, it’s Aoinene, but they’re certainly going to make an effort. They’d be really into family holiday traditions, I’m talking movie binges, festivals, decorating, big meals, etc.

Terukane

• Teru practically already has two kids so whoever he’s dating is going to get the co-parenting experience (at least with Tiara, Kou becomes more of an awkward brother-in-law)

• These two would so be girl dads you cannot change my mind. If it’s not Tiara then it’s another little girl they adopted

• Teru would be a total helicopter parent, not necessarily strict like Aoi but very overprotective. And he’d do that typical parent manipulation tactic of “oh I guess I’m just the worst dad ever” during arguments. But don’t let those traits fool you, he would be the most loving dad ever. His kids are his entire life, he probably carries pictures around of them in his wallet

• Akane would also be a good dad, just less overbearing. He’d be the type to take his kid to the baseball field or yell at them over math homework at the kitchen table. It would be that type of parent/child dynamic where they immediately look at each other whenever another family member says smth out of pocket. He’s really good at taking care of ppl so he’s be very doting at times like Teru

• Since neither of their parents seem to be very active in their lives they’d try to devote as much time and attention to their daughter as possible

• One of those family dynamics where they constantly make fun of each other but it’s obvious they love each other more than anything

Mitsukou

• In an au where they could grow up together…

• They have a son or a son and a daughter

• Kou would be one of those overly loving fun dads. The type of guy you think of when you hear “dad energy.” He tries to make conversation with all his kids’ friends and it’s awkward. And he’d start a bunch of projects for his kids like building a pool or planning family vacations. If one of his kids has a rough day he sits them down for an emotional talk. Overachiever Dad, if you will

• Mitsuba would be the type of dad to lovingly bully his kids 24/7. Yes he critiques their outfit choices every day. Yes he gives his input on school drama. He’d be very annoying but at the end of the day still care a lot, I like to think he’d have a subtle overprotective streak. Kou does like 80% of the parenting for him but he’s there for emotional support

• They care a lot abt making sure their kid has hobbies and friends so they’re both on the PTA

• They’re one of those really annoying families that wear matching pajamas at Christmas. Yes you are going to see their aesthetic family pictures every time you open Instagram. The kids think they’re too cool for it but they’re not

Nene Yashiro

* it’s cannon that she’s good with plants as she’s in the gardening club

* Also that she’s better with veggies and food type of gardening compared to flower type

* She definitely has tried to raise flowers at home but just couldn’t so now she raises lots of green type plants that she feeds to her hamster!

* Well, one plant she can grow that has a flower is the cactus, and somehow it has a multitude of flowers

* Why? No one knows but her green thumb is definitely not in the flower type of gardening

Aoi Akane (Girl)

* it’s also canon for her to be a good gardener like Nene as she’s also in the gardening club

* Complete opposite of Nene, can’t grow food stuff to save her life

* But her flowers are the prettiest

* Also cant raise any ferns or green plants

* Can raise Cacti though

* The thing she and Nene bonds over

Akane Aoi (Boy)

* OFC THIS BOY IS GOOD AT GARDENING!

* Aoi loves gardening so of course he picked up on it too and is very good at it

* Can do both flowers and food type plants

* Doesn’t do gardening though so Aoi won’t have a break down

* Actually is really fucking good at gardening though, like insanely good like he is with everything

* Instead of store bought flowers he uses the flowers he got from his garden to gift to Aoi

* She doesn’t know this though as the flowers are beautiful and extravagant

* Raises Aoi’s favorite flower the most though that isn’t his own favorite flower

* Raises multiple cacti and they’re all so big and flowery and pretty

Teru Minamoto

* It’s funny that this guy thinks he can manage plants

* The only thing this guy can do is be pretty, exorcise spirits/demons, and be smart

* Does not have a green thumb at all

* Even easy to care for plants die in his care sadly

* Waters fake plants cause at least he can’t kill those!

* Only for 73% of the time something happens to the fake plant either destroying it or the plant get nearly destroyed

* I feel like he got cursed by a plant or garden spirit when he exorcised them

* But because of all the girls around him he’s decently knowledgeable on how to garden

* Can direct someone in how to do gardening but can’t do it himself for shit

* Does not pass the cacti test, man is hopeless with gardening

Kou Minamoto

* Like usual, Kou can do all the stuff Teru can’t

* Isn’t a top notch gardener but has the potential to be

* I mean like he could be close to Akane’s level if he tried

* Mostly grows food type plants for his cooking

* Very waste free and such, so most food scraps go into the compost bin for more plants in the future

* Helps maintain two small patches of flowers, one for his parents and the other that tiara wanted to plant

* Actually starts taking care of more flowery plants after his interactions with Nene, planting a lot of her favorite flowers and what flower he think she’s like

* He uses gardening as his time to relax and de-stress

Mitsuba Souske

* He can garden

* But not amazingly though, only simple flowers and potted plants

* Loves to take pictures of them and brag his head off about the plants

* His mother started gardening too because of him so he also has a lot of photos of his mom gardening with the pretty flowers or her sitting among them posing

* Refuses to grow food type of plants

* Says it’s not for someone as cute and pretty as him to do

* Oh if only he had planted some potatoes-

* After his death he’s still really into plant pictures as they remind him of his life before he died

* And after being remade again with no memories he still has a love for plants and flowers

* Says it adds to his charm

* Even with that phrase he feels some sort of pull between him and flowers especially the ones his mother used to plant often (not that he’d know)

* Gardens because it just seems like he knows how to

* And because apparently it adds to his charm

* Passes the cacti test

kind of relieving to have such an underwhelming chapter LMAO ... haven't been in such a rush to, talk about it... but for posterity here we goooo....

Teru flat-out does not like it when Aoi is consenting and can't truly enjoy a normal relationship .... it is in his bones to like to cause trouble and strife and be this deranged monkey in the middle of her & Akane... that's his truth.... that is what he wants.... he is some sort of terminal pest & rapist-brained.... AidaIro-sensei would not want their typically attractive bishounen any other way, I'm sure...

he can't nut unless he's terrorizing you both and you both want him to go away....

You know, I'm not sure we can blame his upbringing on this, or the abuse.......................................... considering how earnestly loving and sensitive he is towards his family (God forbid Kou or Tiara reject Teru, or even say something mildly mean to him)....................... he's simply a sadistic pervert..........

this was the logic I had once proposed for why Teru even targetted Aoi in the main timeline (not trusting the family's legacies) but perhaps Iro-sensei has been saving that logic all for this moment! It's interesting Teru seems so ignorant of it... that must imply this isn't relevant logic in the main timeline, at least not something he was told or advised on.

the big question innit...

it's Teru being extremely Teru.... that's the biggest thing to say about this chapter... I suppose one must feel satisfied at character reads being accurate, but it's all like "ah I already knew this" LOL so it's almost exhausting to watch it play out panel by panel .... let it be known Iro-sensei's characters, they're incredibly consistent....

this detail is intriguing, as Aoi certainly has her father still living with her in the main timeline. However, she feels his love is performative, fake, and like he is hiding something. Aoi in the main timeline has quite a complex about people lying & hiding things from her in general, sensitive about it from both Akane and Nene-chan...

I wonder if her father either successfully hides his affair in the main timeline, or if their parents decide to stay married & hide it from her mutually. Either of those situations would create the estrangement and sense of falsehood Aoi feels...

In this timeline, it seems he chose the other family. This timeline is validating Aoi's complexes in the other, which I love to see!!! She's not crazy or wrong to feel what she does! Her feelings are a consequence of her upbringing...

it's not exactly the same dress, but similar... to this drawing, which I love, hee

Aoi dresses so pretty... (she seems to generally prefer dresses & skirts while Nene-chan funnily leans towards shorts...it definitely gives Aoi more of an 'elegant beauty' vibe even as a kid, while Nene-chan has more of a 'cute silly kid' vibe....despite it all, I can understand how Nene-chan feels less feminine in comparison)

well, I wonder how Teru will feel about mom being alive. This expression isn't what you'd exactly expect of someone happy about it...

I get the impression that Teru likes being the breadwinner, central figure, center of ATTENTION in the main timeline's household.... likes getting to have Kou and Tiara all to himself, be their protector and their hero. I'm not really sure how Teru's relationship is to their mom.... or parents, in general. I suppose I have had the assumption that he didn't feel a great sense of loss... so much as opportunity.

honestly so shocked we finally have a timeline Mitsuba is referred to by his name and not his surname LOL, I always find it pretty tragic & emblematic of his whole situation that he's referred to in a rather distant way by nearly everyone..... well that's a good sign for him, that Kou is using Sousuke... even ?? better if he's not even using 'kun' ??? Are you rude or are you really that close... (Hanako never gave Kou permission to omit honorifics & would surely prefer it if he used them , but Kou is selectively shitty... he speaks very respectfully to Akane & Nene-chan though, since he respects them.. I somehow doubt he speaks nicely to Mitsuba in any timeline................................. but it's still shocking to be on Sousuke-basis, that implies more than the main timeline's familiarity......)

Mitsuba uses -kun ........ this doesn't help your case Kou.... hmmm......

Now what is so hard for me to swallow is the sheer possibility that we might meet Tsukasa for the first time in the context of Kou & Mitsuba's asses................................................ I do not want that .............................................................I want Nene-chan to speak to him..................................................................I do not want you fools engaging with him.................... hasn't he been through enough...................................................................................

but I'm a big girl so I'll accept it.................................................................... I'll have to form other delusions.....................................................

it's not a very interesting chapter for Avvy!!!!!!! But these things happen!!!!!!!!! Perhaps like Picture Perfect, we just have to eat our vegetables before we get to enjoy dessert (Hanako, Nene, Tsukasa....)

Did anyone else feel like Mitsuba's arc has been going kind of downhill?

Like, Mitsuba died pretty young at first. His death was sudden, and when he came to, he had trouble dealing with it. No one remembered him because he supressed his personality to be friendly and palatable, but because of that he ended up just being "friendly" with everyone, so when he came back as a ghost, nobody recognized him. So he decided he was done with trying to act nice. He reverted back to his original traits, and because of the rumors, he ended up getting twisted and being changed. But, when Kou recognizes him, and they start to hang out, he relaizes he admires Kou and when he takes that picture of him, I hink that is Mitsuba's way of accepting he wants to be friends with Kou, but he never will be because he has to move on.

I was actually really excited about that arc because I wanted to see how it would affect both Kou and Mitsuba's characters. I thought it would be Kou realizing the Mitsuba he knew was gone and would never be able to find peace, that Kou would have to face that the friend he'd just made was taken just like that. That this "mitsuba" didn't know what it meant to be human, and that made him dangerous, difficult, and not the same mitsuba as before. "Mitsuba" having an arc where he makes his own distinct personality different from original Mitsuba, but despite that, the strongest parts of him left *want* to be friends with Kou. Because what Souske, original Mitsuba wanted, was to live a full life and stay friends with Kou. That was his strongest desire. I wanted to sooo badly see Kou meet Mitsuba's Mom - Souske's Mom, and to have them talk about him fondly and for her to say she wishes he had a friend like Kou. Mitsuba seeing his "mother" and feeling an alien connection to her. Knowing that he should know her, but he doesn't. Feeling conflicted because jhe learns that he isn't the original Mitsuba, so who is he?

Made an AU where the Joestars are a family so decided to make a family tree, went a bit over board,

so here is how it started I added in a couple people at the top for connections sake, (note that the first Jorge is only called that to avoid a fourth George being on this forsaken tree.)

Jotaro's side looks pretty normal, I kept Kakyoin has Jota's Godfather, though they have no biological relation here, also Anasui and Jolyne are only dating, but I wanted to put most people on the tree. Name changes for this branch are giving adult Holly her self chosen japanese name, and making up a name for Jolyne's Mom. I think it would be funny if her maiden name is Cujoh so Joylne is doing the name thing to say she likes her Mom more. (also Araki stated he meant for his name to be Tenmei and his editor misread the kanji so yeah.)

To make Johnny here I made George be living a double life, the idea is the would find out after George dies in the new version of phantom blood, everyone manages to come together as one family in the end even if Johnny feels weird about him and Jonathan sharing a name.

(note Straizo is also here, and is a vampire but I am not taking an image just for him.) Erina's Father is only named in the musical, and her mother not at all but I think it fits. Also Speedwagon was like for real a father figure to both George II and Joseph so yeah Godfather Speedwagon.

Deigo is on here, the Johns accept him as another brother in the shit dads squad (Jonathan, Johnny and Dio). Diego earns the screenshot.

The Pucci side of Dio's polycule I decided to make Foo a sentient stand who Pucci split off of their user, and whom Weather adopted, Weather is a teacher at Green Dolphin school in Florida, I also made Green Baby more of a person so his name is Gabby. Dio was a bisexual disaster in his youth after turning into a vampire so when he found out about Giorno he went on a bit of baby hunting quest with Vanilla.

speaking of Giorno, his foster families have both been added to the chart,

Dio is quite friendly to Bruno and Leone, though he hates Diavolo with a passion.

Doppio and Diavolo still share a body here by the way.

Now for Joseph, not to much to say here other than that Suzy and Tomoko after overcoming the initial feeling of betrayal have now settled into a happy if sometimes strained polyamory, also Wammu is his ex-fiance but the two are now on good terms. Oh also Speedwagon part 2 is now separate from Speedwagon part 1

I added Strohiem as Santana's foster parent for the funny.

I made Tomoko siblings with Norisuke Iv and Rina from parts 7 and 8, to better tie the families together, which means that Josuke and George III are cousins through their mothers and second cousins via their fathers.

Also Josuke and Josuke are legally cousins via adoption which is neat.( I named Mitsuba's unamed baby Loacaca has a placeholder not for real) honestly nothing major changed over here.

some diversions, I made Yasuho Koichi's older sister and named Mansaku's stand but nothing major.( Tree-wise)

The other Kujos are unremarkable, the Kiras though? they relate back to the orginal Joestar family through Holly, plus I added Yoshikage part 4 to the mix of Kira siblings, though he is renamed Kosaku, since otherwise he shares a name with a sibling. In the AU he is currently in jail while his loving wife delivers him food and company. He likes the routine of the prison system, and Hayato fucking hates him for winning Shinobu over. Also Jodio and Dragona are here.

Strange Tides

As soon as Mitsuba lays his eyes on the curly black haired blasian boy with cat-like but clueless amber eyes, the first thing he thinks is ‘poor guy’. The knights reported to him and his Nobel mother, Fuku/Mitsuba Yumi, that the boy must have lost his memory, and is not able to speak.

The nameless boy wore a button up black pocket patched shirt with black jeans, and Mitsuba wore a long sleeve red shitagi and pink hakama pants. With additional jewelry, like his blue whale right earring and charm bracelet.

Mitsuba couldn’t help but think for a second that those eyes were the same ones he saw the day he was saved by an unknown male. The one with a singing voice dripping honey and flowers, a magnificent sound. The unknown male he’s been trying to find ever since. 

His savior.

But, the boy sitting in front of him couldn’t even speak, nevertheless sing. So his wishes for them to be the same people were dispelled.

It’s such a shame though, and it makes Mitsuba feel a little less hopeful than before and sends him out of the room. Everything matched up, the same hair, eye color, skin color. If he were to see his teeth, maybe the same fangs as well?

He can see his face, but he can’t hear his voice.

And that’s the key memory. His key memory.

So Mitsuba puts that aside, and tries to see what to make out of the boy himself.

The boy in question acted like a newborn child, or just a baby coming outside for the first time. So curious and excited and new. He looks at his food, something given to him by the servants, like it’s something he’s never seen before. Like it was a stinky rat they just fried and threw on a plate. Because he scrunched up his nose, inspected it, and instead of even touching it with the utensils, he looked much more interested in a spoon, fork and chopsticks.

Mitsuba thinks that it was much more logical if the boy was just a ‘tall’ 2 year old. 

He continues to be fascinated by music boxes and fire and even his own two legs and feet, he walks like he doesn’t know how to use his own two legs and feet.

He’s always smiling and excited, the only thing that seems to make him drop the cheerful demeanor is seeing sea animals get cooked in an open restaurant window.

Maybe he’s vegan?

Mitsuba wishes to be just as happy as the boy is all the time. Instead, Mitsuba’s life is filled with royalty. The only thing that’s intriguing about him is his good looks and status.

He wished he knew what the boy thought of him. He hopes it has nothing to do with him being a prince.

What if the boy was much more interested in princesses instead?

The whole thing made Mitsuba’s head spiral, it made him frustrated with himself. He’s supposed to be thinking about his savior, not a random boy with amnesia and overly cute, well, everything..

Maybe not as cute as himself.. But, he still can’t help but look at him in an adoring way.

If there is anything that Mitsuba will admit about himself ( Except that he’s good looking ) is that he’s a pretty bad prince.

He doesn’t care about finding a spouse or ascending to his throne or producing an heir or any royal responsibilities. He never even dreamed of being a prince, not even as a kid. He dreamed of being anything that had anything to do with anything in the sea.

He wanted to be a marine scientist ( Even though he’s not that good at science, he would work his a** off ), but mostly a sailor, a captain, a pirate even. He wanted to be involved with the sea world, he wanted the sea animals and plants and water to acknowledge him. 

Because that seemed more exciting than boring politics and crowns and paperwork.

When people dream of being king, queens, princes, princesses and any royal Nobel, they dream of ballrooms, respect, wealth, spouses, status. Not politics, or  paperwork. Maybe crowns, but definitely not having to be responsible for everything that goes wrong in your life, and in other people’s life.

The girls Mitsuba met weren’t so bad, but they weren’t interesting, and he couldn’t imagine himself falling in love with any of them. Or anyone for that matter. His mothers tried suitors, he didn’t like them either. The people he met were dull, fake-fancy, and had expensive personalities. In his book, they weren’t worth a dime. Maybe a penny cut in half.

They could have been good people, good suitors or suitresses. But again, he wasn’t interested in ‘people-love’, he wanted the earth to love him. Again, not people.

Pretty selfish, right?

He wanted animals to love him, plants, even air. A little bit more like Snow White. Because to him that meant that he was truly important, truly loved. People only loved him because of his status, even his Nobel mother. Maybe except for his real mother and brother.

At least he has his own pirate crew, but they even respect him because he’s Prince Sousuke. 

Mitsuba wants to be known as Mitsuba. Too many people call him Prince Sousuke. It holds no meaning anymore.

But whatever, he can’t drop out or anything. He’ll continue to be pretty good at politics and crowns and paperwork. 

He’s not one of those angsty teens in indie movies, and even if he may be one at least he’s the prettiest angsty teen in an indie movie.

He’s grateful though, of course. He’s grateful that his family was taken out of poverty after their father left them in the dust. He’s grateful that his mother still loves him. He’s grateful that his brother still loves him, even though Karasu claims he’s gay and emo. He’s grateful that people respect him, and that he’s not picked on or bullied like other kids, he may have been if he hadn’t turned into a Prince and exerted into royalty.

But sometimes he wished he was a normal boy.

Mitsuba didn’t notice that he rambled to the boy about cons of royalty and his dreams, including how he wanted to be earth and marine. Like a merman. The boy giggled, but no actual giggles were heard.

Mitsuba didn’t think he could admire the boy anymore than he already did.

His eyes shone in the sun in a way that added teal and gold and gray into his irises, they looked even prettier than before ( Mitsuba dare say prettier than his own ). 

His eyes looked like the most beautiful blocks of gold, and even citrine crystals.

Mitsuba loved crystals.

This boy was much more interesting, than even himself and anyone he’s ever met. Nature, air and sea right in front of him with the glory of Mother Earth.

He realizes he’s staring too much so he looks away sheepishly, he’s never looked someone in the eye that much before.

Despite spending the very few days together, Mitsuba still doesn’t know much about him. It’s difficult to learn anything about the boy because he can’t speak to him, can’t tell him anything about himself. But still, it wouldn’t hurt to try a little, right..?

“I feel bad for not knowing your name..” He says, still not looking the boy in the eye.

He perks up at that.

Mitsuba doesn’t know what to do after that, how would he try to figure out his name?

He looks up from the sea and gets an idea.

“What if I try to guess it?”

The boy thinks, then nods eagerly.

Mitsuba turns to face him again, looking at his face to see what name would suit him.

“Is it Akira?”

He shakes his head, still smiling brightly.

“How about,” he ponders some more, “Tsu…..”

He gasps and leans in, that must mean he’s close…

“Tsu…. Basa..?”

He shakes his head again, but looks at him even more expectedly.

Then he writes something in the air with his finger slowly two times, something that looks like a ‘K’.

“Tsu.. Ki.. Tsuki!”

He indicates another ‘no’.

Mitsuba thought that was so close.

But he was getting closer.

What other name started with ‘TSUK’..?

Suddenly, the name hits him upside the head like a strong wind. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say it was sung to him. The same singing voice he heard the time he was saved. 

Tsukasa.

“Tsukasa?” He says with much more confidence this time. ‘That has to be it-‘

The boy lights up, nodding so fast Mitsuba worries he’ll hurt his neck.

A victorious smile spreads across Mitsuba’s face, trying to suppress the urge to stomp his feet and flap his hands to release the energy.

“Tsukasa,” he tries. “I like it.”

Tsukasa's smile turns smaller, and Mitsuba thinks he must have said something wrong once Tsukasa turns away so he doesn’t see his face.

But then he sees his cheeks turn a mulberry pink, and starts blushing himself.

Mitsuba doesn’t know what to do now. He had a goal, did he not? An original one, one that came before wanting to get to know Tsukasa’s name. He had a mission before meeting Tsukasa, and he has no plans on giving that mission up.

He has to find the guy who saved him. He has to see him, hear his voice again, thank him with everything he’s got. Sure, now he really wished Tsukasa and the guy were the same people, but life wasn’t that simple, he learned that even before becoming a prince.

He had to hold his pride and put aside meaningless flirting. 

But god would he be lying if he said Tsukasa didn’t make his stomach upset, fizzy and nervous. Maybe it felt like that because he was trying to swallow the words wanting to call him pretty, good looking. That’s Mitsuba’s thing, being pretty. He was the prettiest boy in this town! Tsukasa couldn’t come a close to that, he wouldn’t let him.

Though Mitsuba was a man, a man with eyes, that couldn’t deny Tsukasa’s attractiveness for the life of him. Not even just his physical appearance, everything about Tsukasa seemed attractive. His attitude, personality.. Mitsuba didn’t think he even had a bad trait.

But everyone did, so that was unrealistic.

And one thing about falling in love is the delusion that someone couldn’t be bad in any way.

And now Mitsuba thought this was horrible, the urge to kiss Tsukasa was overwhelming. He doubted for a second he would get turned down, but fear of rejection took place.

People all over his town ( Around his age of course ) would send him heartfelt love letters and flowers just to be with him, to either be royal or because they ‘loved’ him. He could hardly walk around his palace without someone confessing their undying adoration for him. He’s never, ever been the one confessing, even when it comes to saying his appreciating love for his family. He couldn’t do it, it would break his pride and make him uncomfortable.

So imagine how he’s feeling right now with the most lovable person in front of him.

This was more risky. A guy he’s only spent a day with kissing him sounded rushed if he were to tell his mother, or his brother, or his maid. It was rushed, and desired. That was horrible.

Looking at Tsukasa another time, who’s just recovered from the compliment and is now looking at the water, he knows he wants him. He wants Tsukasa more than anything right now. He’s unlike any person he’s ever met, as a prince who met half the whole town, that’s saying a lot. 

It’s possible Tsukasa wants him too, right? Those gold eyes have been lingering on him all day, he could say with all his confidence. Tsukasa would invade his space like he couldn’t be separated from him for a moment. 

Mitsuba can tell when someone is interested in him, Tsukasa checks every box.

Little did he know the boy himself was just as nervous, maybe by five times.

He had suppressed bouncing his leg or fidgeting with his hands  in front of the prince so he wouldn’t look unstable, but really he didn’t know what to do either.

What do you do when you're on a boat with a human in silence? The prettiest human you’ve ever seen, the first human you’ve seen ever since coming up to the surface?

Prince Sousuke was exactly how Tsukasa imagined a human would be. Gorgeous, humble and elegant. Even more than merpeople. Even more capable and interesting.

Tsukasa wasn’t so clueless, he’d read romance books, he’s seen romance, he’s known about it ever since he was a kid. It was written on his father’s face when facing his mother, it smudged off of it when their mother left, it floated in bubble hearts around people giving romantic tension. 

He wondered, if Mitsuba and him were under sea, would they have a bubble heart too..?

He doubted it like he’s never doubted anything before.

But there was so much tension.

And the timing was perfect. On a boat, sea creatures and birds all around them, no one else. The lighting and atmosphere was something out of a romance movie, and they both heard a soft melody coming from the distance where fishermen were playing music on the dock, far from them of course.

The moment is subtly ruined by the squawking of a seagull. Mitsuba jumps at the noise, while Tsukasa laughs, a little too quietly. 

Tsukasa takes Mitsuba’s hand unwantedly and takes him back to his previous concern.

He does want to kiss the boy.

Now’s their moment, the nature was urging them, the wind pushed them in close proximity and out of the corner of Tsukasa’s eye he sees leaves flowing along loopy lines all around the boat.

No time could be better, they’d lose the chance if they didn’t take it now. 

Fish were circling around them, they’ve made it under a willow tree and the leaves continued dancing. The sight might have been strange to Mitsuba, all the sea creatures now beside their boat, all of the Earth focusing on this one moment if he weren’t so focused on Tsukasa.

Everything was set up so perfectly, like the universe wants this to happen. Mitsuba wasn’t so big on fate, since the coming out of poverty with a royal request felt like nonsense to him when he was younger, but he could roll with this one.

His hands reach out to find Tsukasa’s. He could no longer hide it. 

At that moment he wanted to kiss Tsukasa more than anything.

Tsukasa smiles, more like an attempt to pull himself together because he would never be ready for a kiss, by a human, by anyone. Not ever. His heart was still beating hard in his chest, loud enough for Prince Sousuke to hear it, his ears were ringing and his eyes fluttered to shut close to not see what comes next.

Mitsuba smiles, no longer shy like Tsukasa, but flirty, like he’s daring Tsukasa to follow his plan in making them as close as possible.

Tsukasa’s hands are shaking, his legs are shaking, his whole body is now. He’s never been more nervous in his life. Maybe.

But he shakingly accepts the challenge.

Tsukasa and Mitsuba inch closer and closer toward each other. The distance in their faces is closing in, and Mitsuba can feel the overwhelming warmth of Tsukasa’s body heat. Their lips brush against each other, and then-

In an instant, the boat flips over.

It happens so fast that it gives Mitsuba whiplash. He’s not able to process what just happened, but surely he will not be admiring the water engulfing him after ruining the chance he had with Tsukasa.

His immediate response was to find Tsukasa, reaching out to him under the water and then pulling them both up to the surface ( Ever the gentleman ).

Once they both come up, they breath in air through their mouth, it almost gives Mitsuba flashbacks of almost drowning.

A black and purple fish is swimming frantically around Tsukasa, looking comically panicked. Mitsuba can’t help but stifle a laugh at the sight, deciding to question everything later.

“Looks like you have a friend,” he points out.

Tsukasa’s eyes dart everywhere but Mitsuba’s, all memories of the moment they were about to share coming back to him like a speedy truck, and then hastily swats away the flounder.

“Hey,” Mitsuba teases, “Don’t be mean to it.”

He takes Tsukasa’s hand, giving him a dreamy look to try cheering him up. It takes a while for Tsukasa to register it before blushing profusely and looking away again, hand still quaking.

A feeling of disappointment sweeps over Mitsuba as he realizes he missed the chance to kiss Tsukasa. Although, this situation was just hugely ridiculous and he does nothing but laugh and encourages Tsukasa to flip the canoe back over.

It’s an easy task, and Mitsuba starts rowing them back to shore.

He wants to kick himself for not kissing the boy sooner, when will an opportunity like that come again?!

He tries convincing himself that it’s fine, he’ll take Tsukasa somewhere nice next time, and go to a cafe to apologize, maybe. Hopefully royalty didn’t take up all his time again, because the only thing he wanted to be occupied with now is Tsukasa.

And finding his savior..

Yes, of course.

Mitsuba doesn’t notice Tsukasa fuming, thoughts running wild with questions and everything above while steering the boat.

Tsukasa hides his face in his hands as a seagull lands on the boat and tilts its head at him.

Sumire smirks, amused by an overly flustered Tsukasa she’s never seen before. Also thinking it was a shame the sirens working for Sakura had to ruin the romance between Tsukasa and the boy she thinks, she knows, he likes a lot.

Mitsuba and Tsukasa will hopefully get a chance in the future.

Akane picked up her binder and pencil case, and went over to her group's corner. Waiting for her was another girl with brown hair. Well, it was a brownish red. She looked like she was taking notes from her phone, Probably about our hero. Taking a seat beside her, she looked over and was met with rather detailed notes of his costume and functions.

“Are you a fan?”

“Wah!” The girl cried and turned to look at her, “Uhhh.... Huh?”

“Are you a fan?” She asked again, “Of freeze burn I mean.”

“Oh! I guess? I mean, my mom helps design some of the costumes at his agency. So I’ve met him before and he's pretty nice…”

Before they could continue with introductions, a boy pulled up a chair and joined them. His hair was a really pale blond.He looked kind of angry, or was he tired. Either way, this was a chance to make new friends. Akane opened her binder and pulled out her sketchbook, the boy looked like he couldn’t find his. So, Akane pulled out a page and handed it to him.

“Hm,” he hummed, looking up when she poked him, “Oh, uh thanks…”

“Akane, I’m Akane. And you two are?”

“I’m Kanemaru,” the boy said. “And this is Haruno,” he gestured to the girl, who looked up.

“Oh, you guys know each other?”

“Yep,” Haruno said, putting her notes down, “we went to junior high together.”

The morning had been interesting, Freeze burn wasn’t too hard to design a costume for. Akane had almost died of embarrassment when she realized she had started singing “Let it go”, this prompted a conversation about their families. The other two were only children, but they seemed to understand Akane’s struggle , and hatred, of children's movies Other than that it had been nice to make friends of her own.

Come lunch time, their assignment had been polished and turned in. Haruno had invited her to sit with them at lunch, and she gratefully accepted the break from her brothers. Toujo, their other friend, and Mitsuba joined them. A break from her brothers, This’ll be fun…

BANG!

CRASH!

“Akane! Akane help!” she heard someone, probably Mika, yell from the direction of the noise.

She groaned and slumped into the table. Covering her head she began to mumble, “I don’t know them. I don’t know them.”

“Uhh,” Toujo started. “Akane?”

“Just ignore it,” Mitsuba said, eating like nothing was happening.

“Brothers?” Haruno asked, giving her a worried smile. She nodded.

The Group of them went back to eating, except Toujo. He kept staring behind the girls towards the noise. 

“Something wrong Toujo?” Knemaru asked, nudging him.

“Dear god,” Toujo mumbled.

Just then the room went silent. Of course the sudden silence was kind of scary, and the looks on Toujo and Kanemaru’s faces weren’t helpful. So of course, albeit reluctantly, they turned around. In a small area in the middle of the cafeteria, at least twenty people were laying on the ground. Just, laying there.

Standing in the middle of the sleeping students was a boy with black hair in a ponytail. Akane put her chopsticks down and ran over. The others followed her to check on everyone. 

“Rene. Why’d you do that?” Another boy asked, approaching the boy.

“They were being noisy. Where are the teachers? They should have done something.”

“Rene!” Norito-sensei stormed in, “ Using your quirk in the cafeteria is prohibited.”

“Head to the faculty room,” the teacher with him said, “We’ll deal with this.”

Brothers: Analysis of Teru and Kou

Okay, so I find these two and the analysis side of things to be interesting to say the least. Now, for those of you who may not know, I love Kou. I would protect that child with my fucking life.

That said, his brother pisses me off. Like, I want to punch Teru. So fucking badly. At the beginning I hated his guts. Couldn't stand him. However, as time goes and chapters progress, he's grown on me. I may not go out of my way to defend him but, he seems to annoy me less. Kinda like a hate-love type of thing.

I have a lot to say about these two. So, lets just get into it.

Kou

Where to start with Kou? Well I think the basics are that Kou seems very trusting of others - gullible, if you will - and kind-hearted. We see this in the fact he befriended Hanako and Mitsuba.

He was assigned to exorcise Hanako but, instead told Teru that he didn't think that Hanako was that bad. On the surface, Kou is a very gullible person because Hanako could have been acting all that time for all he knew. However, Kou didn't seem to think that was a possibility.

With Mitsuba, Kou just showed general kindness to him. Mitsuba was genuine just looking for a friend and Kou offered that to him. Therefore showing the kindness of his character. Kindness and gullability are both things that can easily be taken advantage of.

Once you dig deeper into his character though, you see a boy with self esteem issues. He wants to be seen as worthy and help others. He wants to feel like he's worth something and that's evident in a lot of his actions. Especially regarding his actions in recent chapters - fighting No. 6 and all that. This desperation to prove himself and make everyone happy turns out to help Tsukasa and Friends later on. Revealed by Natsuhiko Hyuuga.

Now, *slowly chuckling* if you thought I wanted to punch Teru, well imagine what I described for him. Double it. That's how badly I wanted to punch Natsuhiko in this moment. I just - never wanted to punch a TBHK man more than I wanted to in this panel. Besides that, Kou realizes his actions helped people that he shouldn't of. You can see regret on his face.

Please note: I have nothing against Natsuhiko, he just pissed me off in this specific panel.

I will say though, had Kou not fought against No. 6, he, Teru, Aoi, and Akane quite possibly could have died. Either way, the gravity of his situation is slowly sinking in on on him. He probably will be kicking himself in the ass. This is also a major blow to his self esteem.

We already know Kou was willing to die in the Picture Perfect Arc to be with Mitsuba. He wanted to be able to be with his friend and then later this manga panel pops up in the Red House Arc. Following this, the ilkusion the Red House makes of Mitsuba tempts Kou to end his life to be with him. This isn't really Mitsuba though, of course.

Kou fights the temptation and pushes through but, it leads me to believe Kou may be suicidal. The House showed him those he wanted to be around such as his mom and Mitsuba. Both are dead. Henceforth, the House is trying to tempt Kou by using his dead loved one's against him.

Add that to the fact that even when he wasn't under the House's influence he was willing to end his own life.

Teru

Teru is another case where he seems straight forward but the more you look into him, the less straight forward he is. I'll start with his hatred for supernaturals - probably the first thing we learn about him.

He says himself that good supernaturals don't exist - at least in his own experience.

First seeing this, Teru seems close-minded and cold. On the surface he's a close-minded, cold, pretty boy. He claims to hate supernaturals but, honestly a lot of his actions don't reflect that. It's contradictory. He doesn't bother to exorcise Tsuchigomori or Akane. Akane can easily be explained though, seeing as he's still alive.

If Teru tried to exorcise Akane - a boy whose not dead - he'd simply be a murderer. But, why not go after Tsuchigomori? Afterall, Teru has to know he's supernatural - especially with the fact he blackmailed Tsuchi in After School Hanako Kun. So, why not exorcise him? I've been discussing this with my friend and we both believe maybe he doesn't hate supernaturals in general.

Akane is actually a great example. He helped Akane with the whole seeing supernaturals ordeal. Teru did an act of kindness for someone who he not only has to work with but, also is half supernatural. He didn't have to comply but, he did. It makes me believe that maybe beneath the surface he doesn't hate all supernaturals. Seeing as he doesn't hate Akane and actually sees him as a friend.

Or, at least a friend in the sense he feels as though he can have a conversation with Akane. Without worry.

So he acts like he has a hatred towards Hanako the most. Therefore, I'm inclined to believe he has information on Hanako he's not sharing for whatever reason. He's protective over Kou and his siblings are undoubtedly a weak point for him. He even pushed Kou away from the exorcist path in his early childhood. Therefore, he lost a bit of his childhood - something you can't get back.

Lost Childhood, Sheltering, and Protectiveness

So, since Teru tries to protect Kou, he sometimes overdoes it. He made Kou feel as though Teru was treating him like an idiot. To be fair, Teru was trying to protect him but, he was also display quite obviously he didn't trust his brother's instinct.

Since Teru lost so much ability to have a childhood, being the eldest, he tries to protect Kou but, he accidentally shelters him too. Instead of trying to push Kou away from the exorcist stuff as a child, Teru should have explained that he wants Kou to enjoy his childhood.

Since there's enough evidence telling us Teru knows something he didn't tell anyone, he should have told Kou. Not telling Kou makes it so he's sheltering him from the truth. This could get Kou into huge troubles. Ignorance isn't always bliss. I believe Kou is acting out because he's tired of feeling unworthy.

He's tired of feeling like even his own brother doesn't have faith in him. Teru has good intentions and while I respect him for that, I believe he's not making good decisions.

any Tsukasa headcanons? I feel like everyone sees him as this demon monster who has no personality aside from murder :/

Tsukasa is an interesting character for me because he’s actually my favorite Yugi twin but I hate when ppl try to justify his actions…however some people go the opposite way and treat him like he’s a heartless villain with no depth so I end up defending him. Ppl get weirdly ableist abt it too it’s crazy. Tsukasa Yugi they could never make me hate you.

Now onto the headcanons

• I’m a firm believer that Tsukasa is adhd coded (I have adhd and I recognize my own kind)

• Specifically bcuz of the scene where child Amane said smth to Nene abt how Tsukasa would lose it if they didn’t play his favorite game at the festival, and due to the way he acts in movie theaters

• There’s room for debate over whether or not it can be called “coding” but you’ll never convince me that boy was intended to be neurotypical (autistic Tsukasa truthers are also valid)

• Since Sakura compares him to a cat I like to imagine he gets really clingy and cuddly with ppl for like 30 mins and then flips a switch and tries to bite them like cats do

• From “somebody hug me rn” to “touch me and I’ll kill you” within the span of a few minutes

• He takes a very “when I’m bored but then I remember I have a sibling” approach to bonding with Hanako. If the Broadcasting Crew and Mitsuba aren’t interesting him, he’ll pop over to Hanako’s bathroom and annoy him

• Not the kind of torment we see in the series though, he’ll just make annoying noises or keep asking Hanako to play games with him

• He likes animals but he’s terrible with them. Too aggressive, think of those poor fish

• I’m an aroace Tsukasa intellectual. I cannot see him caring abt romance beyond mild curiosity and his perverted behavior in the series seems to just be to mess with people/get reactions out of them as he’s known to enjoy doing (as opposed to Hanako’s pervert behavior which is pretty genuine, albeit comedic)

• His favorite subject in school was geography

• He doesn’t genuinely like many people besides Amane. He has a soft spot for Sakura and Natsuhiko though

• This is so far from canon but I think it’s funny to imagine that the entity inside of him is the TBHK equivalent of Venom. There’s still some debate over whether the current Tsukasa is entirely the entity or whether they share one being and I lean towards the later but I have this crack au/concept where the entity is like a little devil on his shoulder

• Sakura: What would you like to eat?

• Again, definitely not how it works in canon but it makes me giggle

• He really likes pumpkins and pumpkin flavored things

• He’s a massive extrovert in the sense that he gets his energy from being around other people, and he much prefers to be in a group than alone

• If he’s alone for too long he gets bored and agitated so he can usually be found in the presence of Sakura, Natsuhiko, Mitsuba, Amane, Mei, etc.

• Sometimes he’ll even hang out with Yako (I feel like they’d get along seeing as they both have rather sharp personalities, and I don’t think she’d judge him for his violent tendencies the way others do)

• When he was alive he had a lot of friends, pretty much the polar opposite of his brother

• He doesn’t feel guilty often but when he wants someone to forgive them, he’ll bring them a gift like a cat bringing someone a dead mouse

• Sometimes the gifts are morbid, sometimes they’re normal

• He was closer with his dad than his mom, because while both of them were creeped out by him his dad tried to assume the best

• He’s very creative and likes to invent things. In another life he’d kill it on Shark Tank

• Because of this he really enjoys cooking! He’s surprisingly good at it when he’s not just making the most appalling thing he can think of

• He enjoys soccer (in a human au I like to imagine him, Amane, Kou, and Yokoo would all be on the soccer team together)

• Supernaturals don’t need to sleep but Tsukasa is the only one who doesn’t bother sleeping at all. Most of the others enjoy having some time to rest but he likes to remain alert 24/7

• He likes to play red light/green light but he says red light crazy fast to scare ppl

• If you were ever on a long drive with him he would 100% start singing “One Hundred Bottles Of Milk On The Wall” and not stop until you reached your destination

Yeah, he’s cool and somewhat relatable that’s why lots of people like him.

I like him too and I consider him as one of my favourite male characters of all time.

But there’s just one issue.

In the anime or even in the manga, Killua is the least probable person to be good at talking to girls.

Unlike Gon, he doesn’t have any experience. And because of his attitude towards them, it looks like he just doesn’t like women.

Let me remind you that the guy only has two girls in his family: Alluka and his mom Kikyo.

We can’t truly say that he got to interact with Alluka most of his childhood since she got locked up as soon as Nanika came out.

Let me give you a summary of how he saw his life from his point of view:

Killua was born in a family where the only (biological) woman there was Kikyo.

The rest were all men so of course he had more to say for the males than females and has a lot of different views and personal opinions on each because they didn’t act all the same.

Silva and Zeno: He greatly respects his father by his calm demeanour and abilities.

We could even say the same thing for his grandfather Zeno.

Illumi: he shows him distrust and fear

Milluki: he just likes teasing and insulting him and knows how foul a man can truly be.

Alluka: it’s pretty easy to see that she’s his favourite by her naive and innocent personality.

Kalluto: well... not much is shown for him and Killua so we’ll just keep it neutral.

Kikyo however, isn’t the same case.

To Killua, Kikyo is a crazy obsessive woman who gets overly dramatic whenever he tells her he wants something that has nothing to do with assassination.

Of course, he doesn’t think every woman acts like that but it has showed him that some can be extremely annoying.

He tried befriending Canary, a new female butler at the time. But she had to politely refuse his request because she had to do her job. This small refusal from her showed Killua that she completely obeyed his mother even if she was opposed to it.

He even tried sharing secrets with an older female butler (Mitsuba) before but also failed.

Killua tried ‘testing’ them in a way to see if they were going to befriend him willingly but the two women had to be faithful to Kikyo.

So in the end, his two attempts at female friends backfired and the reason behind it was always because of his mother.

As a result, he still doesn’t have a clue about females and didn’t get used to it during his childhood.

Later on, when he obtains friends, he finally meets females such as Mito, Melody and Bisky.

Mito and Melody were very welcoming and had a calm demeanour towards Killua.

For Bisky, since he thought she was his age the first time they met, he didn’t hate her or ignore her presence because she was a female.

He just didn’t think much of her and just considered her as another hunter who was strangely following him and Gon.

As for Palm, it took him more time to consider her a friend but they still managed to befriend each other in the chimera ant arc.

The point is, he doesn’t have any grudge against women. He’s just isn’t used to them.

And this is perfectly normal for his situation.

Also, Killua can be extremely rude or insulting when he’s not talking to his friends and it didn’t just happen with women.

His ‘insults’ to Bisky weren’t exactly threatening because every time they insulted each other, the scene always added a comedic effect implying that the situation they are both in isn’t serious.

It was always meant as a humorist way where he was just saying what came to his head like ‘old hag’ or ‘gorilla’.

Their relationship is more of a grandma and her grandson bickering to each other.

It’s also perfectly normal for boys to act rude from a girl’s perspective when they start puberty.

It’s part of growing up for some of them.

Oh yeah and another thing: there was no canonical confirmation that Killua only likes boys (I have this huge headcanon that he might be demisexual but the point is, he gives me vibes that are more...complex??)

Saying that he’s gay just for ignoring girls would be the most stupidest and illogical thing I ever heard someone say in the hxh fandom.

Bro I don’t think I know where to start with Mitsuba in general… soft Mitsuba is a rather rare occurrence, and you probably expected no less entering a relationship with him. Yet, the further into the relationship, the more soft moments you get from him!

Unless he’s having a day where he’s worried he’s calling you an idiot pervert one to many times, the only situations he’ll initially let himself be soft in (or more like.. is out of it enough to not care) are when he’s really tired, sick, or you’re asleep with no one around.

When he’s super tired in a public place such as school, he won’t be too clingy or affectionate. It’s mainly you noticing that he’s less snappy and isn’t bothering with insults. Just looking at you, head resting on his arms, eyes closing for a little longer than usual every so often. His responses to you will be quieter, and certainly less harsh than they can be.

If he’s sleepy and no ones around, that’s when he’ll be a bit more sweet and affectionate. Leans against you as if he doesn’t realize it, and may end up falling asleep on your shoulder.

BWNEHEJEJEBE IF YOU WANT, OFFER TO LET HIM USE YOUR LAP AS A PILLOW?? If it’s past a certain point of sleepiness, he won’t have it in him to give a usual “Pff, idiot!! Why do you want my cute head resting in your lap?? You’ve got something dirty in mind, pervert!! Just like in porn!!!!”

Instead, he’ll give a much less… dramatic response- he’ll think for a moment, face slightly pink (though it very well could simply be because he’s tired.) After a moment passes, he’ll shrug, and place his head in your lap, finally laying down. “Mmh… thanks, (Y/N),” He’d mutter, already dozing off. At that point in the relationship, you can also be glad that he’s comfortable falling asleep around you <3

If he’s sick, it’s a fairly different kind of soft. He wants to argue at first- he wants to call you a pervert for being so willing to see him defenseless! But, in his groggy, overall feeling Not Good, state, the most he can do is pout.

(Actually, he really enjoys being taken care of- the fact that you’d go out of your way to make sure he’s alright… it makes his heart skip a few beats. His mom appreciates you being so willing to help as well-! She has work after all, and can’t afford to be there for Mitsuba during times like those.)

Once you have a damp rag on his forehead, and have made sure he’s taken his medicine, trying to leave usually proves to be quite futile. In usual shojo manga fashion, he’ll grab your wrist, pouting up at you.

He plays with your hair a bit, eventually running his fingers over your facial features. Any freckles, moles, lines- under your eyes, your eyelashes, your lips. Maybe even placing a kiss on your face or hand! He just finds you beautiful. Times like this make him feel a bit bad that he can’t bring himself to expressing this kind of affection when you’re awake, but… he just hopes that you being with him- wanting to be with him- is a sign enough that you get what he means.

On days where he’s had a tough time, or has gotten too far in his head- worrying over how little he calls you anything actually kind (even if idiotic pervert is more of a pet name by now-), and how little he brings himself to showing affection like he means it, he’ll get a bit softer than usual.

He gets too flustered to do anything big or sudden- it’s mainly things like saying “weirdo” a bit softer, holding your hand in the hall, and such. Once alone, he’ll continue to hold your hand, resting his head against your shoulder.
