The intro to Stardust Creations' MHAxGenshin crossover Kickstarter event.
Mysterious Beginnings - Bakugou
πŸ’₯
Bakugou glared at the clock and began pacing another lap around his office. Deku was supposed to be back almost an hour ago. The idiot hadn't responded to any of the texts he'd sent, and his calls went straight to voicemail. Deku wasn't the type to ignore his phone, and Bakugou was going to give him an earful about it.
The trouble started a few weeks ago when the League suddenly got a lot more active than they had been for a while. Arson. Theft. The villain organization was causing chaos just for the sake of chaos, which was a bad sign. He sensed something bigger was happening behind the scenes, and that's why Deku had gone to a meeting with Ingenium, Creati, and a few of their other former classmates to discuss some information that might prove useful.
Bakugou normally would have gone with him. He hated being idle, especially when it came to his hero work, but he stayed at the agency in case they got a call. Numerous agencies around the city were working on the current situation, but he knew none of them had as much of a chance against the L.o.V. as the two of them. He and Deku had been on the front lines of this battle since it started, and he swore they'd be the ones to finish it.
He stopped in front of the window, staring down at the city. The sunset washed the world in a soft glow; the skyline haloed in gold with rose-hued banks of clouds peeking between the silhouette of buildings. It looked peaceful, but he knew looks were deceiving. As the sun sank lower on the horizon, the shadows in the streets grew longer and deeper, and those shadows hid secrets that threatened the lives of every person in Japan.
When Shigaraki and the rest of his cronies made their reappearance, they had someone new with them. The guy looked like he was in his mid-twenties. He was a skilled fighter and not too keen on talking about himself. They didn't even know his name yet. His combat style revolved around speed, agility, and a stupid amount of acrobatics, which made him hard to hit and impossible to catch. None of the heroes saw him use any sort of visible quirk, so they were assuming his power might be connected to his over-the-top physical prowess.
Bakugou hated assuming.
His phone buzzed, and he was quick to answer when he saw Midoriya's number flash across the screen. "Where the hell have you been, Deku?" he snarled even as his chest tightened. He wasn't superstitious, but he *knew* something bad was coming. It was just a matter of figuring out how bad things were going to get. "Yeah, yeah! I'm already on my way."
He was stepping inside the elevator before he hung up the phone. Deku's update was brief, but the urgency came through loud and clear. Dabi and his mysterious accomplice had popped up in Kamino Ward about fifteen minutes earlier and started causing trouble. Deku made the call seconds before engaging the villains, and he said Todoroki was nearby.
"Like hell I'm gonna let those two have all the fun."
People pointed and called out as pro hero Dynamight took to the skies. A smirk curled the corner of his lips but faded quickly as the scent of smoke caught his attention. Sirens cut through the humid evening air. Calls would be going out to every agency in the area; rescue teams dispatched to facilitate the evacuation of citizens from the primary danger zone. A number of shelters had been built in the ward following the Kamino Incident that took place years ago. The memory agitated a sore spot on Bakugou's ego. He gritted his teeth and picked up speed.
πŸ’₯
The sun dipped below the edge of the world moments before his arrival. Night hadn't fallen fully, but dust and smoke blotted out the last vestiges of daylight, casting an unnatural darkness over a diameter of several blocks. A column of blue fire engulfed a nearby building. The screech of twisting metal filled the air as a fire escape broke away from the wall and plummeted to the ground. Deku shouted something indecipherable to Todoroki just before it crashed into the pavement. For several seconds, the ringing drowned out the sounds of roaring flames and crumbling bricks.
The crack of splitting pavement added to the cacophony as a twenty-foot ice wall tore the street in two from one end of the block to the next before colliding with a barricade of cerulean fire. Steam erupted from the point of impact and swallowed the entire block.
Bakugou grumbled at the noise and struggled to find their opponents through the fog. The heat of Dabi's flames combined with the cloud of debris made it hard to breathe. He hoped the civilians made it to safety. On his way to the location, he'd noticed a number of skirmishes beyond the main battlefield.
"It's like they're making it a point to keep everyone else out..."
No one tried to stop him even though he'd approached the site on foot.
A flash of movement caught his attention - nothing more than a blur in the corner of his eye - but he heard a peal of laughter and recognized it from their last fight. It was definitely the newest member of the League of Villains.
Small explosions began to pop in the palm of his hand. Bakugou chuckled. He was itching for a fight.
"Dynamight! Get down!"
Deku's voice cut through the mayhem, and Bakugou dropped to a crouch. They'd fought side-by-side long enough that he didn't stop to question it. A burst of blue fire shot over his head and struck a nearby car, setting it ablaze.
"Son of a -!"
He threw a series of blasts in the direction the flame-user should have been based on the trajectory of the attack. A sudden gust of wind cleared the air in the immediate area a moment before the Wing Hero dropped into the fray.
Hawks grinned. "I got your call."
Bakugou huffed, doing a quick assessment. Deku was running towards him from the right with Todoroki close behind him. The Blue Flame leaned against a telephone pole on the far side of the street, arms crossed over his chest with a smile on his face that put Bakugou's nerves on edge.
"Do it now!" Dabi called.
More laughter echoed from somewhere above them. The next minute played out in slow motion. Bakugou turned his head and lifted his gaze to find the nameless villain standing on the awning of a small convenience store. He gave a small nod, one arm making a dramatic sweep as the grin he wore grew wider.
A low buzz filled Bakugou's ears, and the ground beneath him vibrated. He swore when he realized he couldn't move. His body grew heavy, and began to sink into the concrete. At least, he thought that's what was happening. The pulling sensation grew stronger as each second ticked away.
He heard the others yelling and watched the space in front of his eyes distort.
"What's happening, damn it!"
The guy on the awning looked amused at first, but his expression shifted as the store beneath him began to ripple. His eyes widened, and his mouth fell open as the building flickered like some kind of hologram.
"I'm gonna kill him."
That was Bakugou's last thought before the world went dark.

Have you read the mhaxgenshin crossover where just klee and diluc get teleported there and dikuc takes care of her?
It's so cute eventhough it doesn't have a lot of chapters (≧▽≦)
Tumblr media
I haven't, mostly cause I'm not a mha fan. It's one of those shows where I like the idea and what it creatively allows me to do in the OC sphere. But the show itself is very boring to me. And I don't get why people like characters like Bakugou. He annoys me too much, to try and sit through a redemption arch.
Ah, my opinions on My hero aside.
I think Diluc would work really while in that setting. His story and motivations transfer really well. And of course, I'm always on board for him taking care of kids.
Also, Diluc also would beat Endeavor's ass in every way possible. I'm just imagining Diluc having a tighter control on his flames as he can make birds. So ya know Diluc control a giant bird of flames that picks up peoples and toss them about.

Need to finish the next chapter of "I'll Keep You Safe"... Focus is hard, and I'm fighting all of my doubts about it. My inner critic is crippling, and my opinion of my own work is trash. I know this is common with writers and artists and mostly everyone who creates things, but... it destroys my ability to write.
Plus, I need to finish the intro for the MHAxGenshin crossover, enamel pin Kickstarter that my bestie and I are running. I should have had it done already, but I'm shooting for tomorrow because it'll be the one week mark. πŸ˜“ If I didn't have this stupid regular job...
