Another year, another jack o lantern! This year, in honor of Wilds coming out next year, I decided to carve the boy Rathalos, the King himself, and a great sword hunter, bravely facing him!

I've been playing through the original Monster Hunter for PS2, and whereas I'm enjoying it quite a bit and think that the pacing of it in terms of gear progression is something that the newer games should take more inspiration from, a bit too much of the game's difficulty comes from the strange control scheme and fighting against the camera. It's a joy to play, it's entirely charming, and I really see why the series took off, but I find it drains me a little more than the other titles in the series just because of those rougher edges.

finished off with another 3-0 with rg aggro in modern horizons 1 draft! Won enough tix to get a 40k commander deck, which i will be selling on ebay (lmk if you want one though and we can maybe strike a deal to avoid ebay seller fees). i wasn't convinced this deck would be good because the curve does not look great, and it felt like the green was maybe forced (i don't think it was, red was far more cut at the table, but i thought it was open because i got 2 of the 6 drop late). anyway. was fun! i got to feel very smart winning 7 rounds in a row. won prizes that cost back the entry. good stuff!

3 drafts today, from 9:30 am to 9:30pm... I'm gonna be so sleepy. First draft went awfully I spent the first pack desperately trying to remember the archetypes and ended up with a pile of red and green cards that were trying to do very different things. Went 1-2 with a bye. Opened an eiganjo, though, so...
