I love them so much and I hate everything. I want to burn it all down. I hate that they are going. I know they were always going to, I know they chose to, but I want to annihilate everything and everybody responsible for taking them away from me.

I've read their letters, smiled at their photo dumps, raged at their Wlives. It's not okay. All of this is fucked up.

I know that in the middle of all of this they'll be fine.

But man...

I love them so fucking much it kills me. Also, I'm thankful. So thankful that for the last 10 years I've been part of their journey, and I intend to be for the several more decades of it. I will be here seated and cashed up for the rest of it. I'm thankful that Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jung Kook exist and are the sort of people they are. I hope they learn more about themselves, grow in resilience, intelligence and kindness. I hope their experiences there enrich their lives somehow, inspire them to express themselves creatively again, as BTS and solo artists.

I hope they work hard, stay healthy, and stay happy.

But fuck.

I'm so angry.

Been rewatching In the Soop season 1. I’m at the episode when Hobi and Taehyung are driving back to their place on the river after spending the weekend in Seoul. Taehyung is talking about his mixtape coming out - possibly by the time the show airs. Other than Blue & Grey, what do you think happened to the rest of his mixtape?

I generally get confused, too, about the time period Taehyung was down…is he referring to the pandemic or the prior years in which it could be said that all of BTS struggled? Am I wrong to think that once again BH painted him as “depressed” more so than others when all of BTS must have struggled with fame and success and everyone on earth felt the impact of COVID (and still do). On re-watching the first few episodes their subtitles are always suss when it comes to him.

Taehyung has said multiple times that he would have released it only when he was completely satisfied listening to the whole of it, he is a perfectionist. He probably scrapped the songs he had because he was not 100% sure.

Yes, it was during the pandemic/a little before that, he was going through a severe burnout and the whole pandemic did not help at all, he would spend his time with us on weverse because he needed reassurance. He has been very open about his mental health, he did not get “painted” as the one struggling more, even if you simply read his interview where he talks about the reasoning behind Blue and Grey you will understand.

JIMIN MENTION. Riverdale characters as BTS members

unfortunately i did workshop this with the army gc and i think i have a proposal. it doesn't totally work because of gender dynamics and the way the universes of corporate-competitive art performance and riverdale aren't really quite aligned, but i think i got somewhere.

RIVERDALE MAINS AS BTS MEMBERS:

jughead = rm / kim namjoon. iconoclast. the lyricist-narrator of the whole deal. the link to the big corporate-bureaucratic metaplot in the sky. a typewriter kind of guy. there are so so so many of him and sometimes they interact. queerbait-complicit and yet sidestepping it.

reggie = jin / kim seokjin. the negotiator. the big-city boyfriend from the hallmark movie. the nation's son-in-law but DID flirt with your grandmother and your dad at the function. fed that mean old man from his bare hand. schemes and scams, less opportunistically than as a vocational calling. second place to karl marx and knows it.

betty = suga / min yoongi. she's resisting her idol image with her gratuitously-edgy secondary persona but she's still your poor little meow meow, your baby. she's alert! she's fractured! her amygdala is working sooo hard. her shadow grows and grows and she's avoiding it she's looking at it she's avoiding it she's looking. don't say tangerine.

veronica = j-hope / jung hoseok. idk it's about perfectionism. it's about how CRYING 👏 DOES 👏 NOT 👏 FIT 👏 WITH 👏 HER 👏 LIFE'S 👏 VIBE. it's about lean-in girlbossism. it's about success not creating psychological safety (but she wants more anyway bc what else is she here to do). she's nice but she's ruthless but she loves you!! and on several tragic levels iykyk: she da bus driver all of a sudden.

kevin = jimin. compulsive joiner. compulsive people-pleaser. compulsive flirt. compulsive. mapplethorpe fanboy. gender outlaw. a smoke-show, now. most likely to charm a late night talk show host. queerbaiter of the cruising-coded-crowd-scene variety. most likely to put it all on the line for a little cabaret ♥

You're so right! I hope you don't mind me creating a new post to talk about this but it also got me thinking about how Law is an older brother and Rosi is a younger brother - I feel there's something to be said about that too. It also plays into the dynamic between them I read in a fic this morning by @purplehairedwonder (ao3 link here too)

I can't put it into words very cohesively rn but there's something to be said. I find it especially interesting with Cora and Law because Rosinante is the adult and in objectively a better position to protect Law. But Law is still an older brother at heart and can't deny the part of him that wants to protect/help. The fic I linked to does a good job of showing that, too.

As far as Law and Luffy's dynamic goes, since Luffy is younger than Law, it does put them more fittingly in a older bro/younger bro type of picture from the get-go. Fits the mold a little more just because of their ages. I imagine, to an extent, it probably feels very natural to both of them since it's what they were/are accustomed to.

It’s no big deal, it’s just a short drabble so it doesn’t really matter which member it’s gonna be.

But even tho it’s no secret that stories with him are the most requested in general, I’m still shocked to see how many ppl want stories with him even tho we have 2 proper series with him at the moment 😵‍💫 like when I compare it to last year, it’s like 98% of ppl want jk story and the remaining 2% is the rest 😭

I don’t think their real appearance matters that much, it’s a fiction and they’re characters. I could easily adjust their appearance to the concept of my stories, just like I did it with mono Yoongi 😌
