If it wasn't already official that I have a new Thing Everyone Knows Me For, it is as of yesterday. The past few weeks, I've been bringing Rick Bear with me to work pretty much every day instead of my usual Sunday + maybe 1 other day.

I left him home yesterday, and my boss asked me, "Where's Rick tonight?" and said he's like my mascot.

Well it's been a month since I set this up to queue and now (march lmfao) I can still say I haven't fixed the tags ＾ω＾

Could not resist trying this vanilla olive ice cream. I thought it would either be a mild olive oil flavor (like an olive oil cake) or a bitter, briny abomination before the Lord, but it actually landed somewhere in between.

On top of the ice cream was A SOLID LAYER OF OLIVE OIL. This was an enormous and alarming shock. The texture was similar to the coating on softserve dip cones (is that a known thing??? or just something they sold outside the New England Aquarium when I was little?). It was a lot to deal with. Thick. Somewhat brittle. Oily, naturally.

Once you get through that, though, the ice cream has a mild, vanilla flavor, but with tiny little bites of olive suspended throughout. Not enough to be gross, but it is...... strange. Just very strange. Who is this for? What is the market for this?
