They really don’t have much room to complain tbh given that they’re clearly hands off with cbs spirits and they chose cbs in the first place, with its track record of…Young Sheldon, well-known but utterly generic sitcoms, and crime shows.

I'm sure they didn't have a choice with which network the show would air on. I could look into it (but I don't feel like it lol) but I think the showrunners always intended to have the show be on CBS. And I don't blame non-USAmericans for not knowing the quality of sitcoms on that network.

I will say the remake got much better after the first like.... 7-8 episodes? I'm a character person, so I can overlook mediocre plots if the characters are interesting, and that's how I feel about the remake. Alberta, Sasappis, and Trevor (and Crash hhnnnnn) are the standouts to me, and I can easily see Alberta and Sasappis fitting well into the original show <3

And it's the characters that kept me interested in season 1 and why I love making up crossovers with the original show lol
