I'm back on my sad bitch bullshit today. @katsukikitten I'm still thinking about izuku and his records.

Days like this make you wonder how often he thinks of you, or whether he does at all.

He used to huddle closer when the weather turned chilly. The first straight week of near freezing temperatures had him holding you a little bit closer every minute of every day. By mid November, every room of your apartment had at least a dozen loose socks and a half drunk mug of tea abandoned on whatever surface he had stopped to scratch out every one of this thoughts into the closet notebook.

Even in the chill, warmth was all you ever felt from him...until it wasn't.

Eventually, it all turned cold.

So now, you watch the leaves are vaulting from branches and drift to the ground. They're aimless, like you. Unmoored, just like you've become without him.

It's a slow descent into silence, and you feel as empty as that wall looks. The one where his records used to live. The ones he played from start to finish because it grounded him. Now it's clear that it grounded you too. You can still hear the hauntingly beautiful opening of your favorite one, but now it's just an echo.

So you watch the leaves fall, and you wonder how long it will be until you're crushed under the city's hurried feet just like them.
