Had such a nice time in the city. Going in I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but the city is so pretty and I had a nice time exploring in the short bit I was there. Such beautiful art, nice scenery, and calming neighborhoods.

Many people tried to speak french to me…I felt guilty for my lack of french but also kinda cool bc there thought I was french lol.

Not pictured but I went to the Role Model concert and it was so fun. Tucker is so silly & talented and the Parisian crowd brought the energy. ( I also met a guy who happened to be from my hometown while I was there…small world)

…also who was going to tell me that the Louvre is in fact now the triangle but the building around it.

I’ve been settling in a bit nicely, which is good, but of course my days of holiday are dwindling… and so it goes. How grand you are, the oldest Senators, standing

Tall, keeping time, projecting your regal gaze on

the Eternal kerfuffle of a sunny spring

Saturday, The ballet of bodies; Nocturne and

faun-like foxtrot around the flowers. How long have

you watched boats sail From shore to stony shore, remote

pirates with their screeches of delight before they

loose interest, running back to mothers, finding

a pretty stone, a pebble more fascinating

than your own carved silhouette?

How far does your Queendom stretch? Does it touch the four

corners of earth, hear the old gentlemen’s pétanque from

the far trees? How many tongues do you hear, mixing

with birdsong in choral symphony? What are your

thoughts about that monstrosity they’ve hoisted up

in the distance? The way strangers now interest

themselves really only in the virtual? Do

People’s worries really change over centuries?

Do you also tear up watching the relish of

a child with a ball? How many loving moments

have you witnessed? Are you ever jealous, standing

alone in this City of Love, Watching kisses

of amethyst under blue skies?

Does the city suit you? Can you convince yourself,

blocking life out as you do, that you are at peace?

Was this why you surrounded yourself in your trees?

The ultimate flâneurs, do you ever get bored? I

imagine myself in your place ; I cannot. Weighted

by stares, yet passed over each day. Supposedly
