Prompt 4 - Monsters

They were cornered. Before them were an array of pitchforks, knives, various pointed weapons and torches. Sirius wrapped his arms protectively around Remus.

“Get away from him! He hasn’t done anything!” Sirius bellowed at them. The answering cacophony of shouting voices was so overwhelming that Sirius held Remus closer, using his hand to cover the ear that wasn’t pressed against his chest. He used his remaining hand to cover his own ears as best he could. 

The swarm of people pressed in on them, forcing them further into the corner of two houses. “Please, just let us go!” He begged them. Remus was shaking in his arms, he was so scared. Sirius was terrified, but he had to keep a cool head if they were going to get out of this. 

A shot rang out behind the mob and they all turned to see what was happening. Sirius used those precious seconds to escape. He hauled Remus to his feet and half dragged, half carried him out of a tiny gap that had opened up. He ran with him into the forest. 

He didn’t dare look back. He’d heard them yelling moments after they were in the cover of the trees, having realised they’d disappeared. “Come on sweetheart, just a little further,” Sirius urged Remus. Remus’s feet kept stumbling, slowing them down. He’d barely transformed back. He needed rest. But right now, that was the last thing they could afford. “Come on, Remus, keep going. You have to keep going!” Sirius was panting with the effort of helping Remus. 

“Just leave me, Sirius, you escape. I’m just slowing you down. Leave me,” Remus wheezed as he begged Sirius to carry on without him. 

“NO!” Sirius roared at him in disbelief. “If you think for one second that I’d let those monsters have you just because it’s getting a bit difficult, then you have another thing coming!” He stopped for a second and yanked Remus up onto his back before he set off at a slightly faster pace. 

He soon tired. Remus was almost a dead weight on his back and the tree roots were becoming hazardous. They just had to get a bit further, then they'd be safe. The sounds of the mob had lessened as they spread out to search for them. He could hear the braying of hounds as they tried to track them. Unlucky for their pursuers, Sirius and Remus had been all over these woods, so it would be near impossible for the dogs to follow the correct scent. Plus, with what Sirius had planned, he hoped they’d lose the trail altogether.

He pushed on. He was so close he could almost taste it. The final few trees gave way to a wide river. He carefully dropped Remus on the bank and went to drag the little raft he’d made out of the undergrowth where he'd carefully hidden it days ago when the people in the village had started getting antsy before the full moon. He should have moved them on as soon as they started stirring. But he’d shrugged it off, because how would they know? He still couldn’t figure out how they’d figured out how to capture Remus in his wolf form. 

He got the raft into the water, driving the steak attached to the rope into the ground so it didn’t float away. He helped Remus onto the raft and went back for his pack. He pulled out a thick blanket and tossed it over Remus’s shaking form. He pulled the steak from the soft ground and waded out into the icy water, scrambling to get onto the raft. 

He sat down heavily on it and picked up the oar he’d fashioned from a broken branch, ready to steer them when needed. He breathed a sigh of relief once they got out into the middle of the fast-moving river. They should be able to travel further than the villagers could be bothered to chase them and then he could find somewhere warm for Remus to recover. They’d have to find somewhere new for the next full moon, but at least they had a month to sort that out. 

They were coming up to a bend in the river that would take them away from the forest. He tentatively put the branch in the water and began to turn the raft. Slowly it rotated. They were almost upon it when a figure strode out of the tree line, walking right up to the bank. Fenrir Greyback held up a rifle to his shoulder and took aim. 

The crack rang out through the trees, sounding louder than it was. The round blew above his head, missing by inches. Sirius grabbed Remus and rolled them both off the raft. He held Remus tightly around the waist and grabbed the rope. 

The powerful current kept dragging them under as they rushed to the river bend. The rifle shot rang out again. The round plunking into the water to their left. Sirius prayed they’d get out of this alive. 

Another huge drag from the current and they were being carried away from Fenrir. The rifle sounded again but the shot landed behind them somewhere. Sirius chanced a look and saw Fernir lower his weapon. They were moving away too fast for him to chase.

With his remaining strength, he shoved Remus out of the water, then followed him. They both lay flat on their backs panting. No wonder the villagers had known more than they should about werewolves. Fenrir would have told them everything he knew just so he could finally capture Remus after hunting him since he was a teen. They would have to tread carefully for a while now. It had been over a year since Fenrir had been able to track them down, but Sirius wasn’t scared. They were good at disappearing after all.

Hello there, I love your post and I like your idea about Danny being affected by hamon but now not the time for dp x jjba and i have a long post idea that I would be understanding that it takes you days to research and post your idea.

Danny Phantom (phantom planet not happen in this au idea) x hunter: the parenting and by extension the world of darkness.

A few months before the event of Adorable Family Trip, the D family went to Amity Park for a month to visit one of Big-D ex, Jack Fenton, and while at Amity Park Kitten decided to look into Amity Park folklore. I want to know what 3 folklore that Amity Park has and what Kitten and Big-D thought about it, also bonus point if one of them is not about ghosts.

Also I have fun idea that the D family shenanigans while in Amity Park like Kitten learning about ecto ghost from Maddie ( who has extreme bias), Jack ( who is still learning about ecto ghost), and Big-D ( who usually keeps info until it's relevant), Marckus telling Danny and Dash about his experience with bully and tell them about how Brok Blacklaw eat Marckus book, gross Danny and Dash out, Door and Boy waiting in line at Nasty Burger for the meatiest burger for Boy and telling Jazz about his old 'mining day' unintentionally misled Jazz into thinking he was a miner and not a EOD specialist that he actually is, and Big-D and Jack have a journey and talk about why Big-D broke up with Jack as while Jack is good against ghost, he is not prepared for Big-D reckoning against the various supernatural.

Also for the funny Big-D know Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom when first met and didn't tell his family until on the plane back to Norfolk UK and his reasoning is that "it is obvious".

Holy cow! Honestly, I was confused for a bit. But the further down I got, the more I recognized. Like, Big-D was my first tip off, but it wasn’t until I read Markus, Door, & Boy that it clicked.

Now, I know what we’re talking about. I was afraid this was about Monster Hunter or Hunter x Hunter because I know practically nothing about either of those except dragons & that they are an absolute infestation in Monster Hunter.

You have no idea how lucky you are that my brother got me to watch the animated adaptation on YouTube or I would be completely lost! XD

So, congratulations, I can ramble about this subject!

However, I have only seen the animated adaptation up to Big-D's guide to avoiding arrest & am actually currently watching it as I type because I asked my brother a question about the show & he later said he'd rather watch more of it rather than continue with Lupin III. So, thanks for that. (Jk.)

Brok literally just appeared for the first time. His crew certainly seems to possess quite the motley assortment of very unfortunate faces, don't they?

But, yeah, I haven't seen any of the actual sessions, so my knowledge about how that world works is limited to that.

First off, I love, love, love all the supernatural lore in it. I was literally taking down notes.

Anyway, hmm… Well, I just looked at a list of Michigan cryptids & it talked about Michigan Mermen, though evidently, it's “bad luck to threaten one.” Though, the legend specifically says it's in Lake Superior. At the same time, the 2 lakes are connected by Whitefish Bay, so I wouldn't understand why they wouldn't also appear in Lake Michigan unless it was specifically inhabited by a predator of theirs. There's also apparently the Chicago Mothman, which according to a really cool map someone made from doing a bunch of research (Amity Park Location & Map), is most likely not even a full day's travel from Amity. Then there's the Lake Michigan Sea Serpent, which is, like, right there.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it lived in Lake Eerie. Maybe even just a short walk away from Amity itself.

Though, I do also have something a bit more benign that I made up myself. It's not really a creature. It's just a jukebox that plays creepily accurate music. → The Haunted Jukebox

It's really not much, but I figure that it'd be nice to investigate something that wouldn't try to do unspeakable things to them for once, ya know?

And I do have to say that I very much don't see Jack as the type who'd be into Big-D. In fact, I think the only dude that Jack might have a chance of being into is Vlad, who was never interested & will never be interested. And I don't even know if Jack would be aware of his own interest or if it's ever even crossed his mind.

However, I do have an alternate suggestion. What if Jack & Big-D… were brothers or cousins?

Now, I have a lot of thoughts on not only the Fenton Family’s lineage, but several others too, so here's a link so that I don't have to put it all here. → DP AU - Family Legacy

For that matter, I also hc that Warden Walker is Maddie's dad (but neither are aware). Seriously, go read Grandpappy Walker on Fanfiction.com. It’s an interesting read. However, it never finished. I have other hcs involving her family here, too. → The Walker Family

Now, moving on. This could absolutely work because my theories regarding both the Fenton family & Big-D actually align very well.

Mainly in that I hc that the Fentons are descended from a Lugat, thus making everyone descended from him dhampirs after a fashion.

Now, if we go this route, my suggestion is that Jack was the black sheep of the family… but Big-D was the bedazzled, feral sheep that kept biting everyone. Brilliant & the star of the Fenton family with a brain like a supernatural encyclopedia, but obviously has something very wrong in his head.

In my mind, Jack was never good at learning other languages (which was very important for research) or the apotropaic magics of his family because he could never really wrap his head around the mechanics of how it all worked, so he became frustrated with it all, called it a load of hooey & became determined to prove himself a hunter through the medium he did understand: SCIENCE!!!

And engineering. However, because he'd felt like an outcast due to being unable to understand the magical side of things, he'd begun to reject a lot of the old, tried & true hunter methods, relegating them to the domain of superstition even though a part of him knew that it was all true. He was bitter, okay?

Despite this, he's actually surprisingly honest with himself, considering how full of himself he can be. As such, if he's ever shown concrete evidence that he's wrong, he's actually very quick to adapt & accept that fact.

Then, promptly make amends.

Maddie, however, is ridiculously secular & stubborn. As such, she would be ridiculously difficult to convince regarding subjects involving the supernatural that couldn't be explained using science.

Interestingly, despite being so very different, Big-D was actually one of the only ones in their family who actually heard out Jack’s theories.

At the same time, though Big-D thought that the possibility of this “Ghost Zone” was, indeed, possible, he'd never thought that Jack would not only be able to reach it, consistently of all things, but then prove it!

Personally, I love it when experts of the supernatural are entirely blindsided by something that completely shatters their understanding of the world around them. Like, science is making new discoveries all the time. Why can't the supernatural hunter field also be doing the same?

I'm saying that I think it would be fun if the entirety of Big-D's knowledge of this new plane of existence completely consisted of whatever theories Jack had spoken to him about regarding it.

On the one hand, he's so ridiculously PROUD of Jackie-Boy!!

On the other, Big-D is absolutely shitting his short shorts as it slowly dawns on him the implications of all this.

I mean… this… this is the fucking trans-universal thanatonexus!! Literal proof of alternate & parallel universes!!!

The universe between universes & the moment between times!!!

Seriously, I might have a problem…

I mean, if you really think about it, how would Big-D know much of anything about ecto-ghosts? The only people shown to possess portals are the Fentons & Vlad & the only other portals are natural portals which open randomly & very rarely. Like, maybe he's heard stories about powerful beings that could fly & shoot lasers, but I don’t think he’d know anything truly concrete.

But I definitely think he's aware of Danny's time traveling shenanigans, though only from the perspective of having seen imagery of Phantom & Plasmius scattered through time. But not that it’s Danny & the mayor of Amity (at least initially).

Which, I honestly think that they'd legitimately despise each other. D & Vlad, that is.

Which, perhaps Big-D's actual reason for visiting could partially be because of that? Maybe he saw a picture in a supernatural tabloid about a little town in Illinois that was a tourist trap centering around ghosts? And the picture used was of one of Danny & Vlad's fights?

Maybe it was Kitten who was reading it & Big-D was just sort of sipping his drink at breakfast, was chatting with Kitten, & glanced down only to choke on his drink as he recognized the figures from one of the single greatest mysteries in all of hunter history. He gasps & wheezes rather comically as he tries to catch his breath. Kitten is concerned, but the second D caught his breath, he declared that they were headed to Amity Park to visit family.

The terrifying thing is that I actually think that the Fentons of Amity might be the most well-adjusted members of the current Fentons in the family… This realization haunts me…

Holy fudge, I think Jack would end up being the responsible & rational one between him & D…

Like, I can just see Jack looking D dead in the eye & telling him that drugs, psychedelics, alcohol any purer than near beer, & especially sacrifices were not allowed within 5 yards of the perimeter of Fenton Works & neither were D's sexual indiscretions.

If he brings that shit anywhere near his family, no one will find the pieces. And if he gets caught with that sort of thing here, then Jack's never met the man.

Like, the supernatural stuff is fine, whatever.

Typical Fenton clan brouhaha, but Jack raised a couple of wonderful, talented, genius kids.

(Even if Danny was having a rough time keeping his grades up at the moment, he could still reverse engineer any one of their inventions practically on autopilot & sometimes could even surpass Jack himself in terms of guerilla science & ingenuity, but that's not the point!)

His kids were brilliant & they don't do drugs or commit crimes or go out drinking, & he's not about to have one Bignaceous Ditryck T. Fenton walking in & screwing up the 2 (3 if they’ve adopted Ellie) most sane, well-adjusted children born into the Fenton clan in 5 generations just because he couldn't behave like an adult for a week! Like, he loves D, but “Seriously, D, you need serious help.”

Which would probably start a bit of a dismissive handwaving about how, of course, he’d never dream of it! But Jack just narrowed his eyes at the other man’s insane smile before sighing with a slump of his shoulders before letting them in reluctantly.

Anyway, I'd very much appreciate Amethyst Ocean to be a thing here. This is the DP ship that I've been shipping since I first watched the show. And it was made canon.

Of course, in the end, it's your choice. Not mine.

Also, keep in mind that if Phantom Planet isn't canon, then neither is A Glitch In Time. Just something to remember.

tiziano makes accessories out of his own moulted and preened feathers. this is actually a sphinx tradition!

melone never met his father but was raised with constant reminder that whoever he was, he was pretty horrible, and growing up in that 'shadow' made him swear to himself he'd never turn out like his father. this is why melone acts sort of 'fatherly' towards babyface and often avoids actually even touching most women

i dont know if pesci actually knows hes undead assuming we go with idea 2 about him. he does kinda black out every full moon but nobody including himself addresses this. he knows well and good that prosciutto is undead but he assumes he himself is a normal human and that the Necromancy Doses that prosciutto uses for their form upkeep is just a Magic thing he doesn't Understand

Prosciutto literally has no beef with illuso illuso just keeps calling him a fucking bitch for having the nerve to zombify himself when illuso didn't really have a choice in becoming a ghost

illuso appears if you say his name 3 times in a mirror but says he does this by choice.

melone is immediately drawn to the sound of his own name (as in 'melone', not his real name) but conversely implies this is involuntary

my two ideas with cioccolata (hang on give me a few seconds for the rage to pass) and secco were 1. cioccolata is his own frankensteinian creation and experiments with other cryptians, secco is a werewolf and 2. suggested by others, secco is the frankensteinian creation but honest to god he still gives me werewolf vibes.

Ghiaccio always curls up to sleep and everyone who has seen him do this wonders about his spinal health

i cant tell whats the funniest way to go with gelato and sorbet: 1. Gelato is human, Sorbet is nonhuman (perhaps was once human). Gelato is insane and just a monsterfucker because of course he is. 2. sorbet is a human, gelato is a fucked up monster thing. unfortunately, sorbet is into that. 3. werewolf vampire romance. 4. gelato is a demon yet his stand is still angeleyes and sorbet still calls him angelface. 5. gelato is a turned being of some kind and sorbet is the one who turned him and gelato voluntarily let him do this because he thought it was hot

Pesci knows a lot about the other members of la squadra due to Beach Boy's ability; in the monster au, rather than just hooking hearts and stuff, Beach Boy also just goes right for the soul and hooks the aura. unlike mista pesci knows well and good that hes surrounded by nonhumans but like what do you want him to do about it

animals are pretty much naturally alarmed by Formaggio's presence. ghiaccio tends to fluff up when Formaggio is too close to him.

prosciutto's eyes don't follow movement but he can still see

gelato is afraid of seagulls, chickens and most fowlbirds. this isnt monster au specific i dont know why but i imagine gelato is STUPIDLY fearless but when a seagull comes after his sandwich or a bird starts strutting towards him a little too fast he starts screaming and grabs a knife

regardless of what he is, gelato bites without warning whenever he gets the impulse

Narancia isn't too careful with hiding his formshifting from Mista but as long as he doesn't take a lupine form mista just assumes narancias weird like that

The bucci gang 'have' a 'cat' that's named narancia. it's actually just narancia in a cat form that he takes when he wants to seek physical affection or just be a weirdo, but mista doesn't know that

squalo knows how to write but can't spell or read. so he doesnt actually know how to write he just knows how to copy the letters.

narancia WILL tear up the couch if you leave him alone too long

along with turning blood into metal objects, in monster au, metallica also works the other way, allowing risotto to turn iron into blood. he eats a very iron-heavy diet to get his fix of blood without needing to directly drink it.

i also had the idea that he can drink your blood through your aura

melone and ghiaccio possibly have known each other for a really long time, and assuming ghiaccio is a turned ailuranthrope, melone might have known him before he was Turned and helped console him after the Incident.

bruising is common in physiological shifters like narancia, ghiaccio and limbo. Narancia, unlike the other two, though, is in semi-complete control of the way his cells assemble, so he's able to un-bruise himself, though the spot is usually still a bit sore. since he's been able to formshift most of his life, he's used to it, and doesn't really react beyond his weird 'teething habits.

with limbo and ghiaccio, they're more unfortunate, and often look bruised upon shifting back from theriomorph. most zooanthropes have 'morph hangovers' when a night is particularly bad, but they often learn to cope with it and carry on with their normal lives regardless.

MANY cryptians experience moon hangovers after the full moon.

though many aquabound maricrypt don't have lungs, maricrypt like sirens are able to take in air for the sole function of mimicking human speech.

selkies retain human vocal chords in seal form, and can seaspeak as well, but have a "seal" accent

most seafolk are sleek and pretty (in their water forms, at least) and that's why many seafolk are mistakenly thought to be all-female, because a lot of the males look twinkish or have "breasts" (breast-like organs which serve non-breast-like functions, usually).

limbo and narancia developed a stupid ass greeting of barking at each other in human form. they blame this on the adhd. they also blame the fact that the barks are REALLY convincing on the adhd.

So LOA is my baby that i have so many plans for. For context, it’s a sort of creature au where the world has been taken over by the 5 major mythical creatures that call themselves the Divines (vampires, werewolves, sirens, veela and witches) and humans have been imprisoned into camps following a war.

The fic follows, james potter, a training hunter hiding underground with a rebel group. Remus lupin, a werewolf assassin who kills to survive. Sirius and regulus black, vampires who have their own agenda. There’s a whole lot of plot of the governing system, magic, history, lore and a building war that had been lost before.

As for a little unedited snippet:

The dreams grew fangs and in the darkness the stars turned red, blinking in hungry delight. Cottage living rooms with floating lanterns for light turned into explosions of jades and twilights, imprisoning him in a circle of soaring flames. He felt vines like scales growing up his ankles to his shoulder blades until he couldn't even twitch. Needle like spears tearing into his skin as blood trickled down his tongue that tasted like sweet wine. Chains around his throat bearing a furious pressure on his heart and a timeless drop of an unmoving body.

Until it stopped like a final breath. Death rushing in like an inhale of a scream. Each nightmare alternating between fear, anger and pleasure each night. It was a heavy weight his shoulders were refined to carry, lest he wish the crumble under the yearning. And so James Potter doesn't tell a soul about what he sees when the lights go off and his mind conjures beasts he almost became the dinner of had he not been rescued. He keeps his lips locked when deja vu comes in the form of a vampire built like his dreams and he hesitates to kill. He keeps his head down when his running mind of tangled yarn pins photographs to his board of who? Where? Why?

Alas, his friends could hear his unspoken words, see the red string and feel the tension when he carves wooden stake after wooden stake after wooden stake.

His dream self couldn't drive a weapon into the chest of the monster with angel eyes, but the fangs of his dreams and the fangs just centimetres from puncturing his collarbone, were very very different.

petunia/hermione: easy mode: librarians AU, or maybe established relationship tender hairdressing. hard mode: postwar canonverse. hermione finds petunia’s letter asking to be let into hogwarts in dumbledore’s things, tucks it away and tells no one. years later, one of her kids with ron turns out to be a squib, and it breaks up their marriage and derails her career at the ministry. cue one drunk angsty night with petunia.

petunia/hooch: hooch runs a gay bar. new to the city petunia wanders in not knowing what she’s in for. was this ALOTO inspired? maybe.

cho/molly: she’s dating harry and goes to the burrow for christmas. one-sided crush on your partner’s adoptive mother, because the one thing that this relationship needs is more awkwardness

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom

Persona (the series) has had my attention since high school. We're talking 2006-2007. It is now The Year Of Our Lord 2023, so we're clowning on roughly 17 years, and I am not leaving any time soon.

These days? Games, for sure, mostly because that's just what I'm exposed to the most. I don't watch a lot of TV or movies much, and I don't read a lot either, though I want to try getting back into it.

Honestly it's probably just a universal desire to see more in general. A lot of the fandoms I'm in feel... kinda dead. If I had to specify, more writing, because I love to read and giggle with other writers about ideas for fun.

I suppose it's less at random and just the one playing at the moment but Unbecoming by Starset is going in the background and it has me thinking about Mystic!Raoul, honestly. He's haunting my head.

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)

100% made up on the spot, right now, half because of you putting him back in my head: Isekai!AU for Devil Survivor 2 and showing our sweetie Alcor how to live a very standard life. No powers around to be abused, merely a nice day-to-day anime style.

So I got this asked a few times so I am gonna get this out there.

Please don’t rp with my Lupin!Monster Hunter AU.

It is meant to be a fun little project for myself and I’ve been writing down ideas, headcanon a for the characters with their wyverns. And seeing someone role play with the AU and seeing a lot of things wrong just rubs me the wrong way.

I appreciate it that you all love the idea and giving this AU love and attention, but please don’t use this for role play.

Finally got around to draw my Monster AU!

Lupin: vampire. His sire is Lupin the Second (the name gets passed down from sire to siree). When doing robberies, he needs Jigen to break into buildings then invite him inside.

Jigen: inugami (Japanese dog spirit). For most of his life he thought he was a defective werewolf, until he met Goemon and his yokai-detecting superpowers. His fur is extremely soft.

Goemon: sentient sword. He is the physical embodiment of the Zantetsuken, a sentient sword that gained the ability to manifest a body and wield itself. He poofs out of his human form when he doesn't want to deal with social interactions. (note: the sentient sword idea comes from an anon)

Fujiko: jorogumo (Japanese shape-shifting spider). She normally eats men for breakfast, but Lupin tastes bad.

Zenigata: vampire hunter. I need to find an excuse to make him immortal. A zombie, maybe?

Supernatural au:

He can be anything from solid to only able to manipulate the sword. Being solid requires concentration but he always keeps a basis level of solidity around the gang

Meaning: lupin can tackle hug him but goemon can also go intangible if he notices the hug and doesn't want to be touched right now (or if he wants to see lupin fall on his face)

I love the idea of the first goemon being a wielder. Goemon doesn't want people to know he is a wielder less sword (so people don't try to claim him) so he needed a name. He choose his first and in his opinion only worthy wielder

Going off the Archetypes and roles... fujiko's seduction makes me think of sirens or succubi and I had the thought of a shapeshifter but then I thought of that Japanese folktale with a spider youkai seducing and eating men in a Forrest and I think fujiko is one of those

Jigen... he is typically a werewolf in monster aus and it does fit his scruffy self but for this one... maybe some cowboy folktale? I don't know any of those. Something that is associated with following one wherever one goes. Maybe he was a curse, a hitman spell, cast on lupin? Some warning maybe, always in the corner of ones eye, meant to drive one mad.

Lupin, of course, asked out the shadowy apparition in the corner of his sight to dinner and together they killed the wizards who cast the spell before he could order jigen to ...escalate.

I dont know exactly what yatagarasu are but smt tells me they are three legged ravens. Yata is one of those for obvious reasons

JSKDJDKSKFJDKLJ okay I know jack shit about cowboy-related supernatural folklore, but the idea of "Lupin promptly asking out the shadowy apparition in the corner of his sight to dinner" is just ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. You, my friend, are the very definition of galaxy brain.

Idk about being a curse, but he could be some sort of shadow creature that people can make deals with, and someone made a deal with him and sicced him on Lupin.

And then Lupin ended up striking a deal with Jigen to have Jigen protect him. The deal is "until Lupin dies", but Lupin being a vampire that might mean a very, very, very long time. (effectively making Jigen immortal as well, because why not.)

Goemon name origin validated. 👍 Also, him going incorporeal just as Lupin is trying to hug him is great. Or Lupin throwing him something to catch and it just goes right through him.

Wait, is Jigen incorporeal too? Or is he just supernaturally good at sneaking?

I've never heard of that spider yokai, but it sounds like a good fit. Another classic for Fuji in supernatural AUs is a kitsune, shape-shifting foxes that can turn into beautiful women to seduce humans (and sometimes they can also curse or outright posses people). I should do more research about that spider yokai, though.

Yatagarasu are indeed three-legged crows, or rather A three-legged crow who is apparently an incarnation of the sun, and who guided the first emperor of Japan to Yamato (idk what Yamato is). The AU doesn't have to stick perfectly to mythology, so he could be some sort of crow spirit I guess. Maybe Zenigata has no clue that his assistant is supernatural (you said he's a vampire hunter, idk what he thinks of other supernatural creatures, but he probably doesn't like them a whole lot)
