I need absolutely everyone to know how normal I am about Howard Y'Doin and the people he's loved over the years
(Ramble under the cut. You have been warned)
He was just a kid growing up on Crimson Point. He was just a rising musician trying to get healthcare for his dying love. He was just a pop star who burned too bright too fast. He was just a guy who got in too deep and wanted to make amends.
Howard and Dewey would have been end game if Dewey had lived. I like to think there's a universe out there where they did end up together through everything. Childhood best friends to lovers. My favorite trope.
But sadly, that's not the story I have to tell. So Dewey dies. And Howard meets Astro. A married man with 3 entire kids. But who takes every chance to make him flustered.
Howard didn't want to like Astro. But Astro didn't care. So they kept their relationship secret. Never putting a label on it, never commiting fully. All Astro wanted was power. All Howard wanted was a companion again.
But then Astro died. And couldn't mourn him. He had to keep playing music. Until his music wasn't needed anymore. He hid away. He mourned his first 2 loves.
He tried to love others... it never worked. He tried making music... but no one listened. He started mentoring Starlet, and through that he met Edwin again.
Edwin was also older and greying. He was tired, but his eyes lit up when meeting Howard again. Howard didn't dare hope. He didn't want to be left alone again.
But the two of them kept meeting. They recalled their time in the Big 3 together. They shared their stories since then. They formed a bond- realizing they were both fucked up from being in thr spotlight so long.
Eventually, they moved in together. They became more affectionate. They were seen together more often than not. And though neither one had asked the other, they called each other lovers.
And so lovers they were.

AAAA im so behind posting art on here. Anyways-
Petal and Adore art!! Gotta love the unhinged alien girls XD
Honestly, I do think that if they ever meet in canon they would be an unstoppable duo and while that would make life hell for thr main characters, it would be a really interesting route to explore. Hmmm i might be thinking about it more.

I know D-Earth lore is a WHILE away but I heard a song that is so Robert F Jones and Opal coded and I'm going to EXPLODE.

#lunierambles#oc brainrot#god I love my ocs#Lunieverse! Robert and Opal my beloveds#((the real ones too but moreso the Lunieverse ones here))#The thing that gets me is that in BFHH we only see Robert after the events of D-Earth happened.#yknow. after he died because failed revolution and stuff#we don't get to see how he actually *lived* until the D-Earth prequel#and the way he lived was loved by his wife who he had to leave behind for a revolution that was doomed to fail from the start#and he won't get to see her until the revolution works. and i have many feelings about this#at the very least he doesn't need to wait as long as Robbie and Rob have had to#Rob probably misses Anthony and Jimmy so much by the time we get to E-Earth.#oh god ramble has gone on for too long#but uh yeah. oc lore#Lunieverse: The D-Earth Incident#Lunieverse Spoilers

Samuel and Lillian brainrot persists. Time to info-dump!!!!!!
(Under the cut! As usual >-<)
Samuel Lex and Lillian Clementine. The first immortals. The last people to remember the original Earth. Their only chance at freedom became a prison of a different kind. One that they couldn't escape from.
But they had each other. For nearly a million years, they stood at each other’s sides. Living countless lives together, meeting countless people. They fell in love seeing what wonderful sights different planets had to offer. They stayed close to each other because no one else could ever possibly know the burden of being alive for as long as they have.
But being alive forever means witnessing the destruction of planets time and time again. Realizing that humanity will never learn their lesson until it's too late.
Samuel stayed loyal to the government who saved them when they were both sick kids on Earth. Even though he knew it wasn't right. Even though he knew that these weren't the same people who wanted to save humanity as the ones they knew at the very start of it all. He didn't want to make them upset. He didn't know why. They couldn't be killed. They couldn't even be wounded. But Samuel feared punishment. He feared making trouble, a habit he still had from when he was mortal.
But Lillian couldn't sit by and do nothing. She knew why humans kept destroying their planets. She saw the patterns. How corruption and greed spread. Despite the many times people tried to start over, the roots of the trouble remained. She wanted to get rid of it. She wanted to tell everyone to stop destroying themselves over stupid things like money or status. Having already forgotten how important that is to mortals. She caused trouble. She was loud. She started revolutions. She started wars. She had the best intentions. She just wanted to make sure humans didn't drive themselves to extinction. But the way she went about it wasn't the best.
Samuel refused to help her at first. But Lillian persisted. When new immortals were made, she would recruit them instead. But more people meant more chaos. Some thought they should save the people who wanted to be on their side. Lillian adopted the mindset that the only way to protect humanity was to rule over them. All of them.
Samuel didn't want to rule over anyone at all. He didn't want to play god and save only those who would agree with him either. He tried to slow down. Work with the people in power already. This has never worked for long, though. Once he had won over the government, they would die and be replaced with new people he had to win over again.
But it was the closest way that worked. Lillian never liked it, though. She would still go out and try to gather people in her quest to protect the world by ruling it.
It wasn't until D-Earth- the 4th planet humans have lived on since the original Earth- that something changed. Lillian snapped.
She brought together the largest revolution yet. Samuel was mortified. The government stopped listening to him when the fighting broke out. They sent out their troops to take out hers- despite knowing that they could never take out Lillian even of they did catch her. Thousands died- and with the total population only being 3 million- that was a devastating blow.
Lillian's side almost won. It looked like they would win for a long while. But they didn't. Eventually the entire resistance was killed. Lillian and the other immortals with her were taken back to the spaceships that were about to take off and leave this planet behind- it was no longer suitable to keep living on it after all the fighting was over.
The immortals were told that they would be kept in strict isolation. They wouldn't be allowed out again. Not until they were sure there wouldn't be another revolution like that. It didn't matter what side they were on. All of them were to be kept on a different ship, away from mortals. Never to see the outside again.
Samuel was appalled by this punishment. Half of them didn't do anything wrong! But it was no use. At least he would still have the others and Lillian, right?
Lillian was even more distraught by this. Having already lost all the people she was friends with in this last revolution. Knowing the other immortals would blame her for this punishment. She did the only thing she could think to do.
Before the doors closed, as the ship took off, she jumped.
The last face she saw for many years after that was Samuel, who was reaching out to stop her before the door closed fully. The last voice she heard was his too, a haunting scream that replayed in her head for decades as she drifted aimlessly through space.
Samuel wanted to die in that moment, but he couldn't. He still tried- but he got tired. They were all in isolation. The others apologized to him. They told him he was right. They should have found another way. They made him the leader of the immortals. But he wanted none of it.
For centuries after that, he stayed in his room. Mourning. Lillian wasn't dead. There was no way she could have died. But he would never get to see her again.

"There's no room left on the wall of fame... for me"
Gamers i think it's safe to say i have shapeling brainrot and so now everyone gets their lore more fleshed out! 🤷♂️
(Infodump down here!!!)
So Comet has always been the odd one out in the family. She's the youngest child, and she's the only one without a "special" shape. She's a circle: one of the most common shapes there are. A shape so common that their only defining characteristic is that they tend to be more carefree and outgoing than the other shapes.
And she fit into that role perfectly! At least- before her parents died, she did.
She was her father's favorite. Astro was so proud of his little girl, calling her his greatest invention. He was proud to have someone normal in the family, at least. She was everything the rest of the family could never be- and Astro wanted her to always have that role.
But her main caretaker was always Spacey. Her older brother who was a heart shapeling- a shape made to take care of others. While her parents spoiled her, Spacey was making sure she got fed and learned how to read and write and slept enough hours.
If anything, before losing her parents, she was the least close with Starlet. Her older sister was a mystery to her. Always in singing lessons - always performing. She hardly ever saw her until her family started exploring the galaxy more. And even then Starlet would be practicing all day, video calling her friends back on Geometrica.
But one day. On their biggest trip yet, everything changed.
Her parents went to go meet with the rulers of this human planet. She was supposed to stay inside the ship with her siblings. But Spacey snuck outside.
And he didn't come back.
A huge wave had destroyed the castle Comet's parents were in- there was no sign of her brother. She was scared. Starlet was scared, too. They went to find help, and were taken in by the King and Queen of this planet, who’s son also disappeared after the wave.
The Cosmos sisters knew their parents died that day- but they didn't believe Spacey was gone too. There's no way he could have died. He wasn't a triangle.
And they were right. He didn't die- but he came back different.
Comet was confused. He wasn't serious or stern and fussing anymore. He ran around he was loud- he would laugh a lot with the prince- who had actually ended up getting washed out to sea with Spacey.
He was acting like a kid. And Comet didn't understand that this was his first chance to ever be a kid instead of a substitute parent.
She was a kid, too, after all, and she was stuck on a weird planet where her wings stopped growing and her brother was acting weird. So Comet stuck to Starlet, who was still acting like herself.
She never stopped practicing. She never stopped performing. "It's only a matter of time until they send someone to take us back home." She would say. And Comet clung onto that hope for dear life. She wanted things to go back to normal. She wanted to be busy so she wouldn't have time to be sad anymore.
Unlike her siblings, she was taking the loss of their parents hard. She missed her mom and dad. The other two were always prepared for them to die, but she still couldn't believe they were gone.
But she couldn't show that. She was a circle shapeling. Bubbly and carefree- just like her dad always said.
Eventually, a ship did come to take them home. Starlet and Comet got on without a second thought... but Spacey didn't. He chose to stay on Honyum. Starlet chose to go back to Geometrica to continue her career. Comet chose to follow Starlet and go home.
But while Starlet did her best, she didn't know how to raise her. Comet didn't mind though. She had begun to idolize her sister for being a star. She began to idolize her parents after they died too. It made sense to her. They were special. They all had something better to do for the world.
Comet thought she would be able to go back to school- but there was a big problem. Her wings didn't form right after the few months of living on Honyum. The difference in gravity was enough to ensure she would never be able to fly well enough to get from rooftop to rooftop.
And that's a problem on a planet of skyscrapers like Geometrica.
So she had to stay at home. There wasn't an alternative way to get between buildings without flying. But time at home meant time to think and be sad and-
No. She couldn't be sad. She couldn't let herself feel like her family left her behind. So she kept idolizing them. Maybe putting them all on pedestals kept them out of reach, but she could still see them, right?
Comet became the biggest fangirl for her own family. She knew all of Starlet’s songs, she would only wear clothes from the fashion line her mom made and would always wear the boots her dad made her. Even when Spacey came back to visit she hyped him up to help with the human history mission.
She kept them in sight but out of reach... because at least if she could see them she knew she wasn't completely alone. Right?

Im not gonna lie Peeps, sometimes it freaks me out thinking about the greater timeline. Cus characters age?? Relationships form between characters not even from thr same planet?? Things from the first few stories snowballing into major plot points later on?!?!
And the thing that gets me most of all: how the heck did we get from point A to point B?!?!?!?
(BIG oc infodump under the cut)
Like okay SpaceAges 1 is very simple and self-contained to the point that it could be a standalone story. The entire lore could just be "Spacey and Stephenson get back to the kingdom to reunite with their families and help Morgan reconnect with her mother and Jackson forgive his Uncle and they live happily ever after." But no. Things done in the first SpaceAges affect the rest of the Lunieverse story.
Spacey and Stephenson meeting changes both their lives. Stephenson learns that his autism can make him a strong leader instead of hindering him like he thought, and Spacey learns to find his own identity and causes to stand for instead of let himself be treated like an extension of someone else.
That, in turn, led to Spacey choosing to stay on Honyum instead of going back to Geometrica with his sisters.
Since Spacey stayed on Honyum, he and Stephenson fixed his parent's old ship in case they ever wanted to go into space later on
Now we jump to Color Coded, where Blu and Green and Pinky and Alexander find the Cosmos Parent's secret information bunker and fix the computer to contact the ship that Spacey and Stephenson have.
When Spacey and Stephenson answer the call, Blu and the crew tell them about all the information they have- all the lost human history they found. They also let them know that powerful people don't want this history found and that they're in danger because they found the library.
Stephenson, being a human himself really wants to save the history (because as far as he knows there hasn't been humans before Honyum)
Spacey- curious about the secrets his parents hid also wants to help with this endeavor
So they take the ship to Geometrica where they have to wait for the color coded crew to be in a safe location so they can pick them up. But while they wait, they stay with Spacey's sisters: Starlet and Comet
but since Starlet has been raising Comet on her own before this, she's noticed Geometrica is super not accessible to anyone who can't fly. (Because Comet's wings are super weak from being on Honyum for so long so young)
Since Geometrica isn't accessible to anyone who cant fly (like the entire building is huge skyscrapers with no railings ;-;) Stephenson has to stay indoors at all times too.
Since Starlet is in a position of power and can do something, she's been advocating for more accessibility along with Howard. (Astro and Nebula's best friend, honorary uncle of the Cosmos siblings now)
So that starts the whole plot of SpaceAges 2 where they reform the planet basically by making the system of power be better for everyone on the planet. (Since Stephenson is stuck indoors with Comet through most of the story, the secondary plot is him piecing togethet that triangles actually should be living as long as everyone else- the onlt reason they don't is because they're denied proper healthcare because of the stereotype that they die early anyways. (A belief that was first started back when Shapelings were prey- and triangles were usually fighters sent out to protect the species. Triangles are actually more resistant and stronger than other shapes.)
After that, the Color Coded crew is finally in a safe enough place to be picked up! So the SpaceSteph duo (along with Comet, who stowed away in their ship) gets to meet them in person for the first time and review the information they were able to save.
Spacey finds out that his parents had a fascination with humans and the fact that shapes don't define them- and thats the reason they became "Interplanetary diplomats" in the first place was to learn more about them and get their help to reform Geometrica.
But Spacey and Stephenson already did that, right?
But something else catches their eyes. Their research said there was 3 planets in this solar system with humans. And Stephenson had always thought there was only Honyum.
The research also says that humans were very close to becoming extinct after being such a prominent species in history for so long- something that didnt sit right with Stephenson at all.
Spacey then decides he has a new cause to fight for- he wants to help Stephenson lead a quest to uncover more human history and to possibly save his species- since that’s what he did for him.
The color coded crew also agree to stay on board- since they're all wanted fugitives back on their home anyways.
They set a course for E-Earth- which is a couple years away, but is the planet that has the leaders of humanity on it.
AND THAT'S THE FIRST ACT IN THIS ARC OF THE LUNIEVERSE
Im not gonna put all of it here but it pretty much explains up to the point the drawing shows.
For context on how the timeline goes:
Act 1:
SpaceAges
Color Coded
SpaceAges 2 (Geometrica Reform)
Act 2:
Let's Get Lost
SHIP Kids
PixelVille
SpaceAges 3 (Honyum Reform)
Act 3:
Red Velvet Cheesecake
Squad of Lovers
DISPY
The Great Meetup
