bc its like. Sel is such an outcast n so lonely n acts lik it doesnt bother her n in a way it doesnt but then theres this total normal girl n shes lik so intent on being bestie w her n thinks sel is so cool n sel is like UGH this BITCH!!!! im just gonna torment her just bc i dont know how else to act…. I DONT NEED FRIENDS BITCH!!!!! but u know keep ur friends close n ur enemies closer… they spend a lot of time together n sel is like oh… i actually like having her around outside of tormenting her its like i just want her Around … but i cant let her kno that… I HATE HER!!!!! but like we see with atlas n rose, sel can kinda say n do anything to luna n she wont leave.. literally has humiliated luna publicly several times n luna still likes her… but sel has this thing luna wants in a way…. a normal human life as a woman.. complete solitude n peace away from constant attention.. like the way sel just dgaf… n i mean in also physique that luna learns quickly is the “ideal”, I kinda PaRAPHRASED WHT U SAID BUT IDK IM JUST RAMBLING GOODBYEEEE
No bc they rly are atlas/rose but. Different . N like. No bc it’s the way that like luna/rose will not leave sel/atlas but also sel/atlas are so dependent on luna/rose 😭😭 it’s a vicious cycle … I don’t remember the movie but it’s a pretty common trope but anyway it reminds me of the trope of like . The movie is like a rich girl and a tomboy girl like switch bodies and see how the other one lives it reminds me of that (in a very vague loose way) bc it’s like . Sel/Luna both want what the other one Has but neither of them are going to say it bc … why would U
#obviously luna is more vocal abt her affections towards sel#but sel isn’t gonna admit it#n luna makes it clear she Likes sel#but not necessarily that she is jealous#not severe jealousy but ??#like you said she wants the solitude n lack of attention#maybe that’s part of why sel is so mean to her at first bc it’s like#the attention wasn’t rly on sel to begin with (intentionally) but now it’s like#Luna enters the ring#idk#asks

thinking about s/o who likes to dress up their vampire bf (yes i'm talking about adrian) and they always make sure that he likes the outfit too. he's just so pretty i can't 🥺
𝜗𝜚 ࣪ ˖ 𓈒 “DOTE” FT. ADRIÁN ‘ALUCARD’ ȚEPEȘ! ⸻ ( 2k+ ) words of ⨾ fluff + suggestive/nsfw, alucard x fem!reader ( black-coded ), canon-divergent, set in the set in the 15th century (1400s), established relationship, lowercase intended, explicit language, minors shoo!
my love letter! ౨ৎ ₊ ⊹ oh my goodness luna, i adore this!!! doting on adrian and clothing him sounds like a dream! it’s moving enough for me to want to put it into words . . . i ended up writing this out to be a teensy bit sentimental, if that’s okay! i feel like he’d be hesitant to receive affection but eventually ends up reveling in it because it’s just what he needed! adrian truly deserves some loveee, and i’m here to give it to him >.< please enjoy, and thank you so much for reading! ❤︎
there’s something you and your lover like to call the ‘ echoes, ’ simply put, for any noise that bounces off the walls resounds throughout the entire castle. it’s a reliable system, and adrian’s able to use it to call your attention from anywhere within it.
“darling,” there goes his soothingly silken voice, ringing out all the way from the east wing. at times, you’re amused at how it can reach you from this far. “would you come over and give this a look, please?”
at his plea, you’ll be there. so you settle down the leatherback-book you’d been reading, slinking the pad of your finger beneath a page to fold it by the crisp outer corner.
“coming!”
you’re sure he feels you nearing, courtesy of your shallow-heeled footsteps thudding upon the wine-red shag of his home’s romanian rugs. he acknowledges your presence by swinging open the door to the primary bedroom.
you didn’t think you’d have to tiptoe around mountain-sized heaps of clothing upon entering adrian’s chamber— his closet’s practically ravaged. although, living with a dhampir was never known to be an experience short of surprises.
in the midst of all the madness is where he stands, still adorned in his cream nightgown. he’s got a garment clutched in one hand and a pullover tunic in the other. the subtle veins running along his slender hands makes his grip look exasperated. alucard appears to be having one of those days— where nothing feels just right.
“what’s all this, dear? thought you’d have been dressed by now,” you call out, making your way around a stockpile of trousers to approach him. gently, your delicate hands come to settle upon the broad expanse of his clothed chest. just as he figured it would, your touch immediately soothes him.
the man sighs before he speaks. “i apologize,” adrian peers down at you from where he stands, dropping both items to rest his hands on either side of your hips, “i’ll make sure to clean up afterwards.”
“no worries,” you hum, offering him a warm, sweet smile. when he tends to grow reckless, you know what he needs most is a dash of affection. “you wanted me to take a look at something, yes?”
“i did,” he mumbles, sunny eyes flitting over to his plundered closet, “though now i’m seriously reconsidering every single piece that i own.”
you don’t make a point to say it, but you know it isn’t about the blouses or the pants or any of those things. it’s his mind that tends to run rampant on all that’s been and all he’s lost. at tines, it manifests into agitation, a period of overstimulation where one thing makes him shirk and another gets him withdrawn. despite it all, he’s consoled that you’re here to reel him back in and distract him from himself in that dreamy little way that you do.
“show me the one you were last contemplating on, adrian.” you do it with such ease, pulling him out of his own head and bringing him back into the moment. for a good second, he thinks of just how lucky one man could possibly be.
“go on,” you pat his chest, and his lips flit up into a subtle grin. now more content, adrian scours for it and eventually plucks it off an embroidered chair situated in the corner; only God knows how it got there.
pinched between his index and thumbs, alucard holds up the top, exaggerated sleeves and all, presenting it to you; a simple chestnut colored option that shares the same wood-like hue as the bedpost.
“my twelfth option of the day,” he snidely notes. his sarcasm pries giggle from you. “what do you think, love?”
“it’s quite pretty,” you tilt your head, inspecting the piece with sparkly, concentrated eyes. he admires the way a wispy strand of hair falls along to drape against your face. just precious, he believes.
“it’s a little puffy at the sleeves, though.”
“i knew it,” adrian attests, “this is too . . . flouncy.”
“oh, forget what i said! it’s the perfect amount of flouce.”
“no no, it’s far too much. it’s practically screaming at me.” to that, you chuckle a bit. he can be ever so keen to such minute details.
theatrically, adrian mounts the nearby bed and flops atop the tousled sheets, an exhale leaving the depths of his chest upon impact. “i suppose this is just an ‘only-underwear’ sort of day.” you nearly add that he might as well free himself as a whole and go naked, but the poor man would flush so badly that you choose to refrain.
“you know, adrian,” you scan over his collection, eyeing the finest of silks, puffed shirts and ruffles. his wardrobe practically looks fitting for that of wallachian royalty. “i could make it easy, choose an outfit for you.”
its sudden, how he sits upright and turns to you. his eyes blink just a bit wider, a little slower. alucard’s mouth strikingly quirks upwards in a way that makes you believe he hadn’t been comfortable with the idea— almost as though you’d been meaning to treat him like a child.
“you’d . . . dress me up?”
you retract in the slightest, “only if you’d like. it isn’t a must—”
“please,” he ultimately responds, tone soft and low, “by all means.” it had just been the thought of the sheer intimacy that dazed him. you selecting what would fit him best through your eyes, pulling himself free of his clothes, revealed unto you as you’re dolling him up . . . it all sounds so touching and right now, he wants nothing more.
he can feel palpable relief roll off of you in waves as you beam, “sounds perfect, then.” he calms himself and fixes his countenance, gracing you with a sincere smile. rosy pigment scatters itself upon his face. you catch onto that hopeful glimmer in his eye, one that shows he’s pleased though you can’t quite place it. he’s too softened to say that gratitude has overcome him.
your back is facing him as you rummage around and take your pick, “undress while i put something together, alright?”
“bold request,” adrian characteristically quips. you merely laugh, “you should be bare once i turn around, you hear?”
he hums in acknowledgment, although he opts for tidying up the room first. you can’t see him with your back turned, yet you know he made use of his vampirian speed to grab and fold all his clothes that’d been thrown-askew, including the night attire he’d already been wearing. it amazes you that it only took him a solid eight seconds to complete it all.
“i’m sure that’s convenient,” you muse, turning his way with your selections in hand. alucard’s bare now, adorned in nothing other than his undergarments. a plain and skimpy pair of beige-white breeches shouldn’t excite you so— but god, they hang so low on his hips it’s like they’re barely even there. and how could you possibly ignore the way the cloth clings to his thighs? his arms look strong and coiled like wire, and the chiseled lining of his lean torso is embellished by the fleshy-pink scar that runs past his abdomen all the way up the center of his firm chest.
adrian can only hold your gaze for so long before realizing that you’re drinking him in. consciously, he pivots his head the other way as though to escape it, allowing his lengthy hair to drape down and cover the flushing of his fair cheeks.
you inch up to him, setting the clothes on his bedside. you find his larger hand to interlace with your own, and he only grows redder. there’s an indescribable pride that comes with being capable of riling him up.
“oh, don’t tell me you’re shy,” your hum is sugary like marmalade, “i’ve seen you before . . . you’re beautiful.”
“oh my god,” he whispers, pressing a palm to his heated face. sometimes adrian finds you to be too sweet. he isn’t sure how you haven’t yet succeeded at killing him with all your flattery. he bashfully smiles, cheeks warm as you stand high on your toes to peck them. “you and that mouth of yours.”
“i’ll leave you alone before you overheat,” you tease, halting your affections to return to the task at hand. “you love to toy with me,” he breathes out, and your giggle confirms it. you then display your choices; fitted pants of black leather paired with a warm-tan blouse, one that brings out the shine of his sharp eyes and adds a flush of vitality to his fair skin. interestingly enough, it resembles the color of his golden hair. you’d gone with something similar to his typical style so that he’d feel comfortable wearing it; though you know he’s been rather picky today.
“is it okay?” the way you await his approval makes his heart throb right within his chest. if only you knew that you handpicking anything for him was enough to make him fall in absolute love with it. it had never really been the outfit— he’s sure he just needed you all along.
“more than okay.” he smiles up at you, lips soft and pale-pink. you wonder if you’d end up altering the mood if you leaned down to kiss him. “well chosen, dear.”
“i know just what you like, don’t i?” you sound quite delighted, and it warms him up inside. “but of course. it’s my closet, after all.” the both of you share a knowing laugh that makes you feel so wholesome, so bound. you’ll be sure to commit the feeling to memory.
he then rises to his feet, standing a solid foot above you as he works his way into the bottoms you chose. a pout overtakes you, pretty lips pursed as you whine, “i could’ve done that!”
“you’ll get to fix the blouse. sounds fair, yes?” adrian knows if you were to have worn his pants for him, the hard-on he’d sport would’ve been more than embarrassing. you’ve seen each other vulnerable a good amount of times, and made love even more than what could be counted, but during a moment like this would only sully the mood, he’s sure.
with a hum, you give in. “fine,” your fingers trace against the threading of his shirt, “sit back down for me. you’re too tall for me to dress you from here,” alucard’s always found the contrast in size between the both of you to be endearing, especially whenever you go on to mention it. you’re surprised he decides to choose obedience instead of poking fun. he takes his place upon the bed and makes room for you to settle atop his lap. it’s instinctive, how quickly his hands reach for your waist. he rubs them along the patterning of your corset.
“arms out,” you’re a little less content when his touch leaves you, though you adore how well he listens. you ease the top over his head, onto his arms and finally onto the rest of his frame, tucking away the mussed locks of wavy blonde hair that fall array.
“i’ll brush it out for you later, adri,” you murmur, smoothing down the frizz before bringing your hands to cradle his cheeks. his face looks simply ethereal this close; flawlessly structured, handsome yet elegant. once again, his hands find their rightful place upon your sides. you watch him melt in your very hold when you coo, “my pretty boy.”
he whimpers a lowly call of your name. “thank you . . for all of it.” you know these sort of pocketed moments mean so much to him. his gentle pitch wavers with the subtlest hint of desire; you’d know the sound of it anywhere. still soft-spoken, though the slightest bit deeper. raspier, even. he only reserves such a tone for you.
your response is hushed, just about breathless, “always, adrian.” the pair of you are so close that the straightened tip of his nose grazes against your own. when the tension grows too thick and you can no longer escape his lips reeling you in like magnets, you finally lean into him and let your mouths slot, warmth blooming between you. his lithe fingers roam and you suckle at his bottom lip, prying a soft groan out of him.
alucard kisses you with longing, the span of his fangs subtly clashing against the pearly white of your teeth as he works at prodding his tongue inside, nipping at your lips and tasting of you. he frees out soft, little ‘ i love you ’ amongst all the licking and sucking.
you both wind up toppling down onto the bed, with his back to the mattress and your squished breasts to his heart. making out with a man such as adrian always gets so heavy; you’re panting into each other's mouths, swallowing up the other one’s sounds, and you just can’t seem to help but slowly roll your hips into the stiffness of his crotch. a handful of minutes with him already has you entirely soiled.
“this is becoming something else,” alucard breaks away with a huff, fighting himself not to rip off the clothes you just adorned him in.
but fuck, you aren’t helping. “allow it, then . . .” is your solution, bringing the plush surface of your lips to suckle along his jaw, against the column of his throat, right down his neck . . . no point in refraining now. you eased him of his worries, and he only wants nothing more than to repay you.
“quite a shame, dear.” it truly is— especially considering that you put together such a stylish assortment for him. “now everything must be undone.”

This chapter might be the start of literally the biggest thing ever and I'm SCARED.
I have SHIVERS.
Almost every important characters are gathering in one place.
Our Eden kids are finally playing outside the school.
For a spy like Twillight, this festival is literally a treasure of intels.
(Though, I was surprised when Twillight mention that Glooman Pharmaceuticals has no further connection with the Desmonds. I thought it's gonna be involved in some kind of drugs' development for war, but ig I was wrong.)
Remember how Twillight always look down on Anya because she can't study, she's hard to teach, and she doesn't excell in any sport or any other talents (except classical language)?
Now look at them.
Twillight finally sees just how valuable Anya is. How much Anya, a presumably six-year-old, has accomplished in the span of 6 months. I repeat. 6. months.
He's pleased because it's really convenient for his mission.
And yet, look at what Jeff wished for the kids.
The irony. The sweet, sweet irony.
As much as it pains him to acknowledge how right Jeff's words are, he cannot. He cannot dwell into such sentiments, because he's a spy. A spy must seize every opportunity to gain any information neccesary for his mission. For the sake of his goal; a world peace. For that goal, he will do anything. Even if he has to use his "daughter" and his "wife" for his own convenience.
Because of that, the very least he could to them is protect their well-being and happiness.
Twillight has established that since long ago. But will things change after this arc? That is the big question.
Now we are entering, what I call, "the fortune teller arc." (until we get a better name imma stick to this one.)
Somehow, in every series I've read that has a fortune teller in it, it ended up changes (read: fucks up) the MC's life forever.
I've been predicting the involvement of Crowley in the future; from his name reference, his hairstyle, his excellence in Classical language, everything.
Look whose name Endo uses for the most popular fortune teller.
Heh.
(will Arnold Crowley appear in next chapter? Will he meet Anya in this arc?)
And look at the star of this chapter, who also plays as a fortune teller!
Melinda Desmond.
Who would've thought.
Suddenly, her earrings and ring's design make so much sense.
Is it safe to say now that Crowley and Melinda Desmond are occultists?
Or maybe just one of them?
I know jumping to conclusion is dangerous, but I just can't help it.
I still can't speak if Melinda and Crowley family are related to each other because there's no evidence of their relation (yet). But I can at least tell you this:
Melinda probably uses fortune telling as a way to collect informations. Her ad speaks for poor, desperate people. She doesn't charge her clients for a single cent. Even if she already claimed that her predictions are way off, it doesn't matter for desperate people. Desperate people will use desperate means. Poor people are not poor because they wanted to. There must be a reason, a circumstances; that intel is probably what Melinda aims to get.
Or maybe I was wrong. Maybe Melinda is genuinely a noble person, and she's just trying to help as many people as possible with her "free" fortune telling. Who knows.
Though, it is peculiar to note that Melinda only started recently. How recent, I wonder. Is it before, or after the dinner she had with Donovan, her husband?
Hmmm.
I'm also curious at Endo's reference for Melinda's alias: Lunaluna Selena. Luna, as in, Latin for [the moon]? Selena, as in, Selene [the Greek & Roman's moon goddess]?
The moon, huh. Remember how Anya's power is heavily reliant on the moon? Like, she lost her power when it's a new moon?
Hmmmmm.
TLDR; Anya confessed to Damian that she can read minds. Now Anya enters a fortune teller place. Twillight used to underestimate Anya's ability a lot. Now he sees how valuable she is, yet, he is stuck between his logic (wanting to utilize her to the max) and his heart (wanting to free her from the burden of his mission and let her be a happy normal kid). Melinda and Yor are friends. Now they meet again, when Melinda is doing her side hustle. Arnold Crowley is a kid who excels in Classical Language, and holds a great interest in Anya. Now we see that Crowley family runs a popular fortune-teller. Melinda just had an awful dinner with Donovan. Now we see that she recently run a fortune-telling stall for free. Almost all important characters in SxF are gathering in one place. All build-ups are seemingly leading towards this moment.
Let's give Endo some space & time to cook, shall we.

bold dialogues are spoken in english ღ
The next part of the show was about to begin, and the members were called back on set, ready to dive into the games segment. The familiar space where they had filmed the intro and interviews now had a slightly different setup. Instead of the two rows of chairs they had before, the chairs were now arranged in a straight line, creating a new dynamic. Behind the chairs were several posters displaying some of their most famous quotes from ‘Going Seventeen’, adding a playful touch to the atmosphere.
[SEVENTEEN's getting ready]
The members slowly streamed into the set, choosing their seats and exchanging light banter as they did. Mingyu and Woozi were the first to sit down, speaking to PD Na about the seating arrangements. Seungkwan was busy taking pictures of the posters at the back before he later sat down next to Mingyu. The room buzzed with anticipation as they all settled in.
[SEVENTEEN swarms in]
Luna and Minghao were among the last to enter, walking slowly as they engaged in a quiet conversation.
"I’ve been taking Chinese lessons recently," Luna said, her eyes bright with enthusiasm. "I’ve always loved learning new languages, and since I’m almost fluent in Japanese, I thought I’d give Chinese a try."
Minghao smiled, nodding in approval. "That’s great. Chinese is a beautiful language. How are you finding it so far?"
"It’s challenging, but I’m enjoying it," Luna replied. "The tones are tricky. I think it's more difficult than Japanese."
As they continued talking, they reached the line of chairs where the other members were already seated. Minghao took a seat on the far left, next to Dokyeom, while Luna remained standing in front of him, still engrossed in their conversation.
Jeonghan, who had taken a seat next to Dokyeom, watched Luna patiently. He placed his hand on the empty seat beside him, silently signaling for her to sit. After a few seconds, he reached out and gently grabbed her hand, pulling her attention away from Minghao.
"Nana-ya," Jeonghan crooned softly, using his nickname for her.
Luna turned to him, a small smile playing on her lips. Without protest, she allowed Jeonghan to guide her to the seat beside him, nestled between him and Dino.
[During the short break, they start chattering]
The room buzzed with chatter as the members broke off into small groups, waiting for the games to begin. The atmosphere resembled a lively classroom during recess, with overlapping conversations creating a symphony of voices that filled the space. Each group was engaged in their own world, sharing jokes, stories, and laughter that blended into the overall din of excitement.
Luna and Jeonghan, sitting close together, had their own quiet conversation amidst the noise. Luna, who had been nervously fidgeting with the rings on her fingers, caught Jeonghan's attention. He noticed the way she absentmindedly twisted the rings, a habit he had come to recognize over the years. It was something she did when she was feeling anxious.
Without a word, Jeonghan reached over and covered her hands with his, the warmth of his touch instantly calming her. His fingers gently caressed the back of her hand, grounding her in the present moment.
"Did you get your nails done?" Jeonghan asked, his tone light and casual, steering the conversation to something simple and familiar.
Luna looked down at her hands, a small smile forming on her lips as she nodded. "Yeah, I got them done yesterday. Do you like them?" She wiggled her fingers, showcasing the intricate designs painted on her nails.
Jeonghan lifted her hand slightly, examining her nails with a playful curiosity, his touch light as he traced the patterns. "They’re really pretty. You always choose the coolest designs,"
Luna chuckled softly, her nerves slowly melting away as they continued to talk. "I went for something a bit different this time, more muted tones."
Jeonghan traced the edge of one of her nails with his finger, still holding her hand in his. "It suits you. They look pretty."
His touch was gentle, almost absentminded as he played with her fingers, turning them over in his hand. Luna watched him, a sense of calm washing over her as he continued to distract her from her earlier nerves.
"It's therapeutic," Luna chuckled. "Getting your nails done."
Jeonghan hummed in agreement, still playing with her fingers. "Maybe you should paint my nails sometime," he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Luna perked up at the suggestion, her smile widening. "I would love to! I could do something simple, or we could go all out and try something bold. I have nail stickers at home. What do you think?"
Jeonghan pretended to think about it, a playful expression on his face. "Hmm, I don’t know… I’m not sure I could pull it off as well as you do, but who knows? Maybe I’ll give it a shot."
Luna giggled, knowing he was playing hard to get but also knowing he wouldn’t say no. "Come on, you know you’d look great. How about this: when we get home later, I’ll paint your nails. Deal?"
Jeonghan finally relented, a soft laugh escaping him as he nodded. "Alright. Alright."
Jeonghan, still holding Luna's hand, turned his attention to Dino, who was seated on her other side. With a playful glint in his eyes, he leaned over Luna and lightly smacked Dino’s leg.
"How have you been?" Dino asked, looking at Jeonghan with a friendly smile.
"I asked you to go to the sauna with me twice, but you never went," Jeonghan replied, feigning a pout.
"You only asked me once," Dino countered, raising an eyebrow in mild confusion.
Jeonghan shook his head, smiling slyly. "I can’t be direct. If I say, 'I’m going to the sauna,' that’s me asking you."
Luna couldn’t help but chuckle at that, finding Jeonghan’s indirect way of inviting Dino endearing. Dino, on the other hand, widened his eyes in realization. "Ahh, okay. Sorry."
From Jeonghan’s other side, Dokyeom joined the conversation with a curious expression. "How come you say it directly to me?"
Jeonghan turned to him, his grin widening. "I need someone to talk to directly. Then other people will be like, 'Can I join you?'"
Dokyeom laughed, catching on to Jeonghan’s playful banter. "Are you saying you took advantage of me?"
"He did," Luna muttered with a smirk, making Dokyeom laugh even more.
"Exactly," Jeonghan admitted with a shrug, his nonchalant response earning a round of laughter. "I know you’re going to send me a long text now."
Once Dokyeom stopped laughing, he smiled warmly at Jeonghan. "Let’s go to the sauna together."
"You can go now?" Jeonghan asked, tilting his head slightly. "I was going to go yesterday," he said, his tone light, "but then you called me."
"If I went yesterday, I might have died," he added dramatically, making Luna stifle a laugh.
[He filmed ‘My Alcohol Diary’ yesterday]
"Why didn’t you ask me to join?" Luna chimed in, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she looked at Jeonghan and Dokyeom.
Jeonghan and Dokyeom exchanged glances before Jeonghan asked, "You want to?"
Before Luna could reply, Dokyeom, with a teasing pout, quickly linked his arm through Jeonghan’s and pulled him closer. "No, no, no," Dokyeom said, mockingly possessive. "You two are always together. Jeonghan is mine now."
Jeonghan burst out laughing, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he leaned into Dokyeom’s playful embrace. Luna looked at them in mock bewilderment before shaking her head with a chuckle. "Alright, I won’t third-wheel your date," she said, her voice filled with playful resignation.
Jeonghan glanced at her with a grin, still laughing at Dokyeom’s antics, while Luna’s heart warmed at the sight of their close bond.
As the group continued chatting among themselves, their conversations overlapping into a lively cacophony, PD Na and the writers observed the scene, slightly bewildered by the sheer energy of the room. The room buzzed like a classroom during recess, with every member engaged in their own small group discussions. The writers, poised and ready to start the next segment, hesitated for a moment, unsure how to gain control over the spirited group.
[This is how they look as a whole]
"Who do we talk to in this case?" one of the writers asked PD Na, glancing at the scene.
"Someone in the center," PD Na suggested, his eyes scanning the group for the best target.
One of the writers looked up and, to her surprise, saw Joshua sitting in the middle of the group. "It’s a new person," she remarked, her voice drawing the attention of the band and, most notably, Joshua, who looked back at her with wide, confused eyes.
[Surprised Bambi]
"Hoshi moved here because it was too much," Wonwoo explained from his seat, offering context with a slight grin.
"That’s why you switched?" Joshua asked, turning to Hoshi, who nodded in response.
"I don’t mind when I’m dancing, but this is too much pressure," Hoshi admitted, a sheepish smile spreading across his face.
[Moved 2 seats]
"We have Joshua in the center. Center Jo," PD Na announced, making Joshua chuckle at the unexpected title.
With the attention now on him, Mingyu leaned forward and added with a grin, "Joshua, hit the slate."
[The center's role on a variety show]
[Hit the slate]
Joshua, still laughing, opened his arms in front of him as if mimicking a movie slate. "I’ll hit the slate… 1… 2… 3," he said, clapping his hands together to signal the beginning of the game portion.
As the group settled into their seats, the chatter gradually died down, and all eyes turned to PD Na, who was ready to kick off the next part of the show. "It's time for the first game," PD Na announced with a smile.
The members responded with enthusiastic clapping and cheers, the room once again buzzing with excitement.
[Shouting like high school students]
"I love games," Minghao said, his eyes bright with anticipation.
PD Na continued, "There’s nothing much to it. We play a game over food, over something else. Play a game over money. And then it’s over."
"I’d love to play over money," Jeonghan deadpanned, a small smile tugging at his lips, making a few of the members laugh at his unexpected 'enthusiasm.'
[He's never looked so enthusiastic]
"Right?" Luna chimed in, smiling at Jeonghan.
The playful banter settled as PD Na explained the stakes. "Today, you’ll be playing for your food."
[For this game] [it's not over money, but food]
The members’ excitement only grew at the mention of food. "I'm hungry," Hoshi said, leaning forward eagerly.
"Let’s eat," Minghao agreed, nodding.
"I don’t think we will be able to," Luna said, chuckling at the impending challenge.
[Food matters more than money in our universe]
"You need to eat," PD Na insisted with a grin. "Let’s play a game over food."
Jeonghan, ever the strategist, asked, "What’s the menu?"
"I’ll show you," PD Na teased, building up the anticipation.
"Is it coming in here?" S.Coups asked, already craning his neck to catch a glimpse of the food, his hands moving in a little dance of excitement. "Oh, there it is."
"It’s crazy," Jeonghan said, eyes widening as a table was wheeled in, laden with containers filled with various dishes.
"What do I do? I’m hungry," Luna exclaimed, her eyes glued to the food.
"That’s the old-school container," S.Coups noted, recognizing the style of the containers as they were placed in front of them.
[Passing by]
"LA galbi?" Vernon asked, spotting one of his favorites.
"There are grilled yellow corvinas?" Luna pointed out, her voice tinged with surprise and delight.
"Grilled yellow corvinas?" Vernon said again, gasping.
[Gasping]
As the containers were opened, the room filled with a chorus of excited comments and exclamations as they recognized different dishes. The spread was reminiscent of a school cafeteria, the familiar scents bringing back memories.
[Exclaiming]
"It reminds me of the school cafeteria. I love it," Jeonghan said a nostalgic smile on their face.
"Please don’t remove one every time," Seungkwan pleaded, knowing all too well how these games worked, anticipating the challenge that lay ahead.
[The dishes to be removed are here]
The air was thick with anticipation and hunger as the group prepared to dive into the game, their competitiveness heightened by the delicious food that awaited them.
As the room settled after the initial excitement, PD Na stepped forward, announcing with a grin, "It's the retreat course for lunch." The members erupted into cheers and applause, at the mention of lunch.
[Retreat course: 14 side dishes]
"When you go on a retreat at school, you get these dishes for lunch. S.Coups, can you introduce them?" PD Na prompted, turning to the leader.
S.Coups stood up, ready to take on the role of the food guide. He pointed at each dish as he named them, "Tomato salad, yogurt, stir-fried spicy pork, LA galbi, kimchi, grilled yellow corvinas, acorn jelly, rolled omelet, mini pork cutlets, sausages, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts." His voice was clear and confident, but there was a playful pride in his tone as if he were presenting treasures.
[There's got to be one you'd like]
"It's perfect," Jun commented, his eyes wide with admiration at the spread before them.
"That's crazy," Joshua added, echoing the awe felt by the group.
PD Na smiled, seeing the members’ appreciation. "I'm sure everyone likes different food. There are fourteen people here," he observed.
"Kimchi is my favorite," Hoshi chimed in enthusiastically, earning nods from the others. "Kimchi is a must. Wherever I go, I try kimchi first and decide whether the place is good or not. That’s how much I love kimchi."
Nods of agreement followed his statement, with some members murmuring their own love for the staple Korean dish.
"Woozi, is there anything you don't like here?" PD Na asked, curious to see if there was a dish that might not suit the tastes of the meticulous producer.
Woozi, ever thoughtful, scanned the table before replying, "Something I don't like? That would be… nothing in particular. I'm not picky."
Seungkwan, ever the observant one, couldn’t help but comment, "Your eyes are focused on the tomato salad," causing a round of laughter to ripple through the group.
Woozi immediately defended himself, "Why eat that of all other dishes?" His mock indignation only made the others laugh harder.
[Wise]
Hoshi, always quick to chime in, pointed at Wonwoo, "Wonwoo can't have seafood."
"I can't eat yellow corvinas," Wonwoo confirmed, his voice even and unbothered, though his gaze lingered on the dish.
Jeonghan, lightly patted Luna’s leg, drawing attention to her. "Jiyeonie loves seafood," he said with a knowing smile.
Luna nodded in agreement, a wide grin on her face. "I love seafood," she echoed, her eyes brightening at the mention of one of her favorite types of cuisine.
"And yellow corvinas are DK's favorite," Jeonghan added, gesturing to the member seated next to him.
"I love yellow corvinas," Dokyeom confirmed with a nod, his voice carrying a hint of excitement at the prospect of enjoying the dish.
As the conversation naturally flowed, PD Na took the opportunity to ask a question that delved deeper into their group dynamics. "If a conflict occurs in the band, how do you resolve it?" he asked, his tone both curious and serious.
Wonwoo was the first to respond, his voice steady and assured. "We go by the majority," he said, earning a confirming nod from S.Coups, the leader of the group.
[They follow the majority]
"If anyone can't eat something, then we take it into consideration," Vernon added, his explanation highlighting their thoughtfulness as a group.
PD Na, intrigued, continued to probe. "Do you always go by majority?"
Seungkwan, always quick-witted, replied with a slight grin, "No, we still listen to the minority."
"We only listen," S.Coups added with a knowing smile, causing a ripple of laughter among the members.
Luna, finding the situation amusing, chuckled before chiming in, "It's funny because it's true."
Jun nodded, adding his own lighthearted commentary, "We only listen. We don’t do it."
"Listen and go with the majority," Dokyeom added with a chuckle, his tone playful.
"They have to endure it," Seungkwan said, his voice teasing but with a hint of truth.
"But if they can persuade us…" Joshua began, his thought hanging in the air.
"…We might change," Hoshi finished, completing Joshua’s sentence with a knowing look.
[If minority is still persuasive, they'd do it]
[That's direct democracy]
Seungkwan, taking the conversation in a slightly different direction, remarked, "If the whole group gets to go on a show like ‘The Game Caterers’, everyone must agree."
"Even if one person says no, we can't do it," Jeonghan added, his tone serious yet relaxed.
Seungkwan then pointed out, "All fourteen of us agreed to go to ‘The Game Caterers’, which is why we're all here." His words carried a sense of pride, a reflection of their collective decision-making process.
[Fortunately, they all approved]
PD Na and the writers, appreciating the sentiment, bowed their heads slightly in gratitude. "Thank you," they said, their voices sincere.
"So let us eat," Seungkwan added with a grin, breaking the moment of seriousness and earning laughter from the group.
[That was from the bottom of his heart]
PD Na, sensing the anticipation in the room, addressed the members with a wry smile. "I'll give you rice and soup," he said, his tone slightly playful. "Normally, I don't. But in case CARATs get mad at me, I'll give you rice and soup."
[We prepared luxurious beef radish soup]
A wave of grateful murmurs and nods spread through the group, with a few members visibly relieved at the news. "Thank you," several of them echoed, their appreciation genuine.
"But," PD Na continued, his voice taking on a more serious edge, "the rest of the dishes depend on how well you do in the game."
[That's right]
The tension in the room shifted, excitement mingling with a hint of nervousness as the stakes were laid out. Everyone knew that this wouldn't be easy; their ability to enjoy the meal in front of them depended entirely on their performance.
"The first game is a revenge match," PD Na announced, pausing to let the words sink in. "The Character Quiz."
At the mention of the game, a collective sound of acknowledgment filled the room, a chorus of "Ooohhs" and nods of understanding. This wasn’t just any game— it was a rematch of the quiz they had played during the ‘HYBE’ Special, a challenge that had left several of them hungry and slightly humiliated.
"Okay," Minghao said, his expression serious yet excited.
Seungkwan, Jun, Hoshi, Mingyu, Minghao, Joshua, and Dino exchanged knowing looks, scoffing out laughs tinged with the bitterness of past defeat.
[Their hearts ache already]
PD Na, ever the observant host, pointed out with a grin, "I just noticed. There are seven people here who played the Character Quiz before." His eyes swept across the room, landing on Mingyu, Seungkwan, Dino, Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Joshua.
[The seven who lost]
"Why don't you give advice to the people who haven't played before?" PD Na suggested, inviting the veterans to share their wisdom.
"Give us advice," Woozi chimed in, leaning forward slightly, genuinely curious.
[But they don't have much to say]
But before any of the seven could respond, Luna deadpanned, "Didn't they lose?" Her tone was dry, the subtle jab laced with humor. The room erupted into laughter, with Joshua especially amused by her quick wit, and S.Coups nodding in agreement.
"They didn't get anything. They got everything wrong," S.Coups added, his voice dripping with mock disappointment, his smile betraying his amusement.
Jun shrugged, not willing to argue against the truth. "We don’t exactly have the experience," he admitted, eliciting another round of chuckles.
Dino, always quick on his feet, gestured with a sly grin. "Just remember. My eyes are watching front, but my ears are listening to the people next to me." His hands moved to his ears, making his intentions clear— he was ready to cheat.
"Right," Jeonghan agreed without missing a beat, the room responding with laughter at the unsurprising agreement by the notorious game cheater.
Wonwoo chuckled, raising an eyebrow. "What does that mean?"
"If you're going to swindle, do it quietly," Mingyu scolded, a playful edge to his voice as he pointed at Dino.
"That’s what you call cheating," PD Na interjected, though his tone held no real reprimand— he was simply amused by the group’s antics.
"They were asking me for advice," Dino defended himself, feigning innocence.
"Cut us some slack," Jeonghan chimed in, his voice carrying a touch of mock sincerity. The room erupted again when one of the producers, caught off guard, exclaimed, "What?" Her high-pitched voice slicing through the laughter.
[We were surprised]
Jeonghan, still laughing, clutched Luna's thigh for support, his amusement clear in the way his shoulders shook.
"He's being serious," Luna informed the producers and writers, her own smile betraying her amusement.
"He's shameless," Seungkwan added, pointing at Jeonghan, his voice filled with playful exasperation.
[Yoon the surprise: He'll surprise Producer Na a lot today]
"Nice," S.Coups clapped his hands, laughing as he pointed at Jeonghan, who was still recovering from his bout of laughter.
"This is really fun," Mingyu commented as he fixed his jacket.
S.Coups turned to PD Na with a puzzled expression. "Is this going to be one way?" he asked, using hand gestures to illustrate his question. Suddenly, his eyes widened with realization. "Both ways?" he added, his tone tinged with incredulity.
PD Na, ever the master of mind games, smirked. "When it comes to the Character Quiz, going one way is a servile choice. That's not who you are, right?"
"He’s brainwashing us," Mingyu quipped, making PD Na laugh along with the others.
[Busted]
Mingyu quickly followed up with a more serious tone, trying to calculate the logistics of the game. "A band of seven people going both ways is us going one way. If we go back and forth, that’s twenty-seven."
"It’s twenty-eight," Jun corrected, his brows furrowed in thought.
"Isn’t it twenty-seven? One person plays once and the rest play twice," Mingyu insisted, explaining his logic.
"You’re right," Hoshi confirmed, nodding in agreement.
"Mingyu is smart," Seungkwan commented, adding to the consensus.
"Give him applause," Hoshi said, prompting the members to clap for Mingyu without hesitation.
[We thought it was over]
The debate, however, wasn’t over. "No, it’s twenty-eight," S.Coups nudged Mingyu, determined to get to the bottom of it. "I have to play twice," he reasoned, starting to count the members aloud along with Seungkwan.
"We go all the way there and come back," Mingyu insisted, using hand gestures to further illustrate his point.
Luna, clearly growing exasperated with the pointless argument, let out an exaggerated sigh. "Why does it matter? We won’t be able to eat anyway. Let’s just do it," she said, her tone laced with mock resignation. Her comment earned a hearty laugh from PD Na, who seemed to appreciate her pragmatic approach.
[Bunny is over it]
Jeonghan, amused by Luna’s ‘over-it’ expression, chuckled softly. He reached out, his knuckles gently brushing against her cheek in a comforting gesture before placing his hand back down on his lap.
"Let’s just do it," Seungkwan echoed, mimicking an expression of exhaustion that perfectly captured the group's collective sentiment.
Minghao, ever the calm voice of reason, chimed in with a simple, "We just have to do it."
"Right, as long as we do well," Seungkwan agreed, nodding in determination.
[You have to get used to it. This band loves chattering]
PD Na, sensing an opportunity to rally the group, leaned into his usual dramatic flair. "When there were a lot of people, there were seven. The maximum number I tried was eight. But if fourteen people succeed, then in the history of variety shows…" He trailed off, letting the implication of their potential legendary status hang in the air.
[Producer Na is scamming them]
The members caught between skepticism and amusement, nodded along, some chuckling at PD Na's clear attempt to hype them up.
"It’ll be legend," Dokyeom chimed in, playing along with a playful grin.
"Let’s try," S.Coups encouraged, the leader’s competitive spirit shining through.
"It’ll leave a mark in the history of variety shows," PD Na continued, his voice full of mock seriousness, earning more laughter from the group.
[Be history]
As PD Na kept going on about how legendary their success would be, the members couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.
[If you succeed, we'll have you fixed on the main page of ‘Channel Fullmoon’]
[The future variety shows will remember you]
"He’s good at fabricating it," Woozi commented dryly, a small smirk on his face.
"He can persuade us," Joshua agreed, clearly enjoying the banter.
"He’s good at it," Dokyeom nodded, his tone filled with reluctant admiration.
PD Na pointed toward the direction of the order, setting the stage for the challenge. “Start with S.Coups, all the way to Jun, and then come back,” he instructed, his voice filled with a mix of authority and anticipation.
Mingyu, ever the strategist, leaned forward with a glint in his eye, pointing directly at Jun. “Shall we start with Jun first?” he suggested his tone light but his mind clearly working through potential advantages.
S.Coups shook his head, already dismissing the idea. “No, he plays only once,” he clarified, his gaze sweeping over the group as he asserted his position.
“That might be better,” Dokyeom said, jumping in with a thoughtful expression.
But Jeonghan had other ideas, gesturing toward their side with a casual wave of his hand. “Isn’t it better to pass here first?” he argued, his voice smooth and persuasive.
Minghao, ever the observant one, smiled as he offered his analysis. “Because the first question tends to be the easiest,” he said, his tone light yet insightful, earning a round of laughter from PD Na and the crew.
[They analyzed his question style]
“Good job,” Luna praised, her smile soft as she looked at Minghao, clearly appreciating his attention to detail, and perhaps finding him a bit adorable.
S.Coups, however, wasn’t entirely convinced, his face a mix of resignation and resolve as he stood up. “I have a feeling it’ll never reach me,” he argued, his eyes scanning the group for support.
“It really won’t,” Luna replied without even looking up, her attention seemingly more focused on her nails than the impending game.
[Has no faith at all]
“If we get it wrong, it’ll never get there,” Minghao agreed, nodding along with Luna, his voice calm yet certain.
[It's something they must overcome]
“Let’s try first,” S.Coups insisted, his determination clear as he tried to rally the group.
“Let’s give it a try,” Jun added, his voice steady, ready to dive in.
“If we get it, it’s great. If not, just eat rice and soup,” Minghao offered, his tone practical and reassuring as he addressed S.Coups.
S.Coups pouted, his desire for more than just the basics evident. “I want yellow corvinas,” he said, his voice soft with longing.
Minghao, ever the considerate friend, responded quickly, “I’ll buy them for you,” his tone was kind and supportive.
“Let’s play first,” S.Coups reiterated, trying to keep everyone focused on the task at hand.
But before they could start, Seungkwan raised his hand, his expression serious as he said, “Wait. Let me tell you something. Don’t get it wrong on purpose to be funny.”
The group immediately chorused back, their voices overlapping in playful accusation, “That’s you,” or “No one does that except you.”
“Sorry,” Seungkwan pouted playfully, his attempt at seriousness quickly dissolving into a cheeky grin.
Luna giggled from her seat, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she quipped, “It’s funny how we keep saying ‘let’s try,’ ‘let’s do it’ over and over again but we’ve done nothing but complain… I love you guys, really.” Her tone was laced with mock irony, making the members burst into laughter at her spot-on observation.
“Let’s start,” PD Na announced, his voice cutting through the playful banter and drawing everyone’s attention to the game.
[Round 1]
The room fell into a sudden hush, the lighthearted atmosphere replaced with focused tension. Some of the members leaned forward in their seats, eyes locked on PD Na as they prepared for the first round. Everyone was fully concentrated, their excitement palpable.
“Let’s start. It sounds so hard,” Minghao murmured, his excitement laced with nerves.
“We can do it,” Joshua said, offering encouragement to the group.
“Are we starting with Jun?” PD Na asked, confirming the order.
“Yes,” the members chorused in unison, their voices firm and in agreement.
“Play sincerely,” Woozi added, his tone serious, urging Jun to give it his best shot.
“Fighting,” Luna said softly, her voice a gentle encouragement aimed directly at Jun. She knew how nerve-wracking it could be to go first, and her words were meant to bolster his confidence.
“It’s okay to get it wrong. Just be confident,” Seungkwan chimed in from the other side, offering some last-minute reassurance.
PD Na flipped the first picture around, revealing it to Jun. “1, 2, 3,” PD Na counted down, and without missing a beat, Jun blurted out, “Jay Park.”
The room erupted in applause and cheers, the members voicing their excitement as Jun nailed the first answer.
[The first obstacle passed]
Wasting no time, PD Na showed the next picture to Minghao, who was up next. “1, 2, 3,” PD Na counted again.
[The next obstacle]
“Chung Ha,” Minghao answered on time, his voice steady.
[They overcame the obstacles]
The members clapped even louder, their praise growing with each correct answer. Dino jumped up in excitement, unable to contain himself.
[They did better than expected]
“They were good at it,” Wonwoo commented, clapping along with the others.
[Producer Na's getting nervous]
[Next is DK]
[His first Character Quiz in his life]
The game moved on swiftly to Dokyeom. PD Na revealed the next picture. “1, 2, 3,” he counted down.
“Captain America,” Dokyeom answered, earning even more cheers from the group.
“You got it,” Luna praised him with a bright smile.
But as the game progressed, the tension started to build. Jeonghan, who was up next, looked a bit alarmed as the reality of the game set in. “Wait, are there foreigners too?” he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
[That's what Character Quiz is about]
PD Na nodded, confirming Jeonghan’s suspicion. The atmosphere tensed up further as the members braced themselves.
PD Na then showed the picture to Jeonghan. “1, 2, 3,” he counted down.
“Han Ji Min,” Jeonghan answered, his response slower than the previous ones.
“He got it right! He got it right!” Luna exclaimed, her voice full of relief and excitement as she pointed at Jeonghan, making sure PD Na acknowledged the correct answer.
PD Na, however, wasn’t as forgiving. “It’s a warning,” he said, pointing at Jeonghan, his tone firm. Jeonghan had answered a bit too slowly for comfort.
“Calm down,” Mingyu advised the rest of the group, sensing the rising tension.
Next up was Luna, who leaned forward, her heart pounding in her chest. PD Na turned the picture to face her. “1, 2, 3,” he counted.
“V!” Luna blurted out, her voice clear and on time.
The room erupted in applause and praises once again, the excitement growing as they celebrated another correct answer. Some of the members were now on their feet, pacing back and forth in nervous energy.
“Let’s calm down,” Mingyu reminded everyone, trying to keep the group grounded.
“It’s Dino’s turn,” PD Na announced, moving on to the next member. He showed Dino the picture, “1, 2, 3,” he counted.
“Mi Joo,” Dino answered, his voice a bit hesitant.
“You got it right,” PD Na said, but quickly followed with, “It’s a warning,” indicating that Dino had been too slow as well. The group clapped for Dino’s correct answer but the tension was palpable.
[Woozi's next]
Finally, it was Woozi’s turn. PD Na turned the picture toward him. “1, 2, 3…” he counted, but no answer came from Woozi’s mouth.
“Wrong!” PD Na declared, the first slip-up in the game.
[Passionate]
Seungkwan’s expression was a mix of frustration and disbelief as he stood up, exclaiming, “Lee Chan Won!” The disappointment was evident in his voice, and the other members quickly rallied around him, determined to reason their way to a redo.
[Excuse me?] [Producer Na, hold on]
Like clockwork, they began voicing their dissatisfaction with the way the picture had been presented. S.Coups stood up, making a hand gesture to PD Na, indicating that the picture needed to be straightened. “You need to straighten the face,” he insisted, his tone half-serious, half-joking.
Jun, eager to support his leader, leaned forward to physically adjust the picture in PD Na’s hands. “You need to straighten the face,” he repeated as if this small detail had thrown off Woozi’s guess.
[They complain the photo was curved]
“I thought that was Chan because it was curved,” Mingyu added, his voice carrying a note of mock indignation that quickly spread through the group. They were slandering PD Na’s method of showing the picture as the reason for the mishap.
[Slandering]
“I get what you mean because it’s curved,” Woozi chimed in, backing up Mingyu’s point. He was now fully committed to the narrative.
“So? Is that why you didn’t know?” Jeonghan pressed, his voice teasing but with a hint of support for Woozi.
“I had no idea for that reason,” Woozi answered, his tone carrying a tinge of exasperation but mostly amusement.
Luna, sitting quietly and observing the chaotic exchange, couldn’t help but giggle at the audacity of the group. Their relentless reasoning, though absurd, was hilariously on brand for them. She decided to stay out of it, letting the boys have their moment.
PD Na looked shocked, not quite believing what he was hearing. “Are you sure you know now?” he asked Woozi, trying to gauge the seriousness of their claims.
“Of course,” Woozi replied confidently.
“We all went to get his autograph before.” Wonwoo, ever the supportive member added.
"He was on ‘Mr. Trot,’” Woozi added as if this solidified his knowledge of the celebrity in question.
S.Coups, seeing the opportunity to save face for Woozi, clapped his hands together, declaring, “Okay. That was a practice.”
“So, that’s all for the practice round,” Jun followed up, clearly attempting to lighten the mood and reset the game.
But PD Na wasn’t buying it. The playful atmosphere quickly turned as he made it clear that there would be no redo. Now, the members had to decide which dish to remove from their meal.
[Let's remove one dish]
[Time to make a decision]
The members of SEVENTEEN found themselves in a heated debate over which dish to remove, the tension mixed with a playful sense of urgency as they weighed their options.
Dino, in his innocence, was the first to make a suggestion. “Should we remove the acorn jelly?” His words hung in the air for a split second before they were met with immediate and resounding disapproval from every direction.
[Everyone yells]
“No!” Vernon shook his hand firmly, his voice laced with disbelief.
“No!” S.Coups echoed at the same time, his tone bordering on alarm.
Joshua leaned forward, his expression appaled as he addressed Dino. “We can never miss the acorn jelly.”
The most vocal reaction came from Seungkwan, who stood up abruptly, pointing an accusatory finger at Dino. “Acorn jelly is the best. What are you talking about?” His outburst left Dino momentarily stunned, his eyes wide as he sat back in his seat, shocked at the intensity of Seungkwan’s reaction.
[All he said was acorn jelly]
Dino tried to justify his choice, albeit hesitantly. “Because of the cucumber…” he trailed off, his voice mixed with chuckling.
Luna, seated next to Dino, patted his thigh gently, chuckling at the situation. “Our Dino doesn’t like cucumbers,” she explained with a soft smile, her tone lightening the mood.
Jun, always pragmatic, offered another option. “How about bean sprouts?” he suggested, his voice calm as he tried to steer the discussion in a different direction. “Bean sprouts,” he repeated as if to solidify his choice.
But before anyone could reply, Seungkwan had already made up his mind. He grabbed the container of salad, ready to remove it from the table.
“He can’t eat tomatoes,” S.Coups stood up and explained, gesturing toward Seungkwan as if to defend his action.
“He’s removing what he can’t eat,” Dokyeom noted, pouting slightly as he eyed Seungkwan up and down. S.Coups couldn’t help but chuckle, pointing at Dokyeom with a playful grin.
Minghao, ever observant, pointed out another detail. “Jun wants only the salad,” he said, turning the focus back to Jun’s preference.
“Ah, really?” Vernon exclaimed, his tone one of genuine surprise.
Jun nodded, his expression earnest. “Because I’m working on detoxing,” he explained, his voice calm as always.
Seungkwan took the opportunity to clarify to PD Na, “Some of us are detoxing. We’ll remove bean sprouts.”
But before the decision could be finalized, Vernon, now on his feet, pointed to another potential sacrifice. “Or what about sausages?” he suggested, his voice filled with the same playful uncertainty that had been present throughout their discussions.
“No, never sausages,” S.Coups replied immediately, his tone firm as he shut down the suggestion.
Dokyeom, feeling the need to contribute, stood up and pointed to another dish. “Let’s remove japchae,” he suggested, his voice confident.
“What?” S.Coups responded in shock, his reaction mirroring that of several other members.
Amidst the ongoing debate, PD Na just sat there, watching with a mixture of amusement and amazement as the members continued to discuss, their voices overlapping in a chaotic but somehow harmonious argument.
The debate among SEVENTEEN over which dish to remove escalated into a full-blown discussion, each member passionately defending their preferences.
Wonwoo, who had been quietly observing the chaos, finally chimed in with a suggestion. “I thought we follow the majority,” he said, his calm voice cutting through the noise.
S.Coups, the only one still standing, began pacing back and forth in front of the group. His frustration was evident as he tried to steer the conversation toward a decision. “Ya, what do you want to remove?” he asked, his voice laced with a hint of impatience.
[The general leader is exhausted]
Dino, sensing an opportunity to bring order, proposed, “Let’s go by majority. Who wants to remove the salad?” He raised his hand as an example, hoping others would follow suit.
Only S.Coups and Seungkwan raised their hands in agreement, their expressions determined. The lack of support from the rest of the group, however, left the salad firmly on the table.
[They're democratic, but it takes a long time and Jun wants it]
Hoshi, always one to throw in a curveball, casually suggested, “Just remove the yellow corvinas.”
[In favor of yellow corvinas]
This suggestion sparked immediate reactions, especially from Luna, who leaned forward to look at Hoshi. “What are you talking about?” she exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at him.
[Bunny no. 1 wants yellow corvinas]
Minghao echoed her shock, turning to Hoshi with a confused expression. “Why? That’s the best,” he asked, genuinely baffled.
Seungkwan, who had been watching the exchange with growing frustration, finally exploded. “Are you all stupid? Remove bean sprouts,” he exclaimed, his eyes wide as he looked around at the group, unable to believe the conversation was still going.
Eventually, they agreed on removing the bean sprouts, and Dino reached out to remove them from the table, his expression a mix of relief and resignation.
[They agree on bean sprouts]
[Bean sprouts are out]
“So that’s how SEVENTEEN resolves conflicts,” PD Na commented, observing the group with an amused smile.
“It’s quite noisy,” Jun admitted, his tone light as he glanced around at his fellow members.
“We were just talking over each other,” Luna added, a hint of laughter in her voice as she reflected on the chaotic discussion.
“We’re all talking at the same time. What do we do?” Mingyu said, shaking his head with a grin.
“It’s so noisy,” Wonwoo chuckled, covering his ears in mock despair.
[SEVENTEEN never holds back from talking. They're noisy]
PD Na and the writers couldn’t help but laugh at the scene, thoroughly entertained by SEVENTEEN’s dynamic.
As the laughter died down, Seungkwan took the opportunity to remind Dino of his earlier blunder. “Dino, acorn jelly was a wrong choice,” he said, a teasing tone in his voice.
“Not the acorn jelly,” Vernon added, shaking his head.
“Don’t you mess with acorn jelly,” S.Coups warned, pointing at Dino with a playful glare.
Luna, unable to resist, added her own prediction with a grin. “It will be gone soon. Watch.”
Dokyeom giggled at the exchange. “This is funny.”
Jeonghan, who had been watching the whole thing with an amused smile, turned to S.Coups. “You never eat it,” he pointed out, his tone teasing.
[They were sensitive about removing it]
"Honestly, you could remove sausages,” Vernon voiced out, throwing in another suggestion.
“What?” Mingyu exclaimed from beside him, his eyes wide with surprise.
“Really?” Vernon asked him, slightly taken aback by the strong reaction.
“Aren’t sausages good?” Mingyu asked, still trying to process the suggestion.
[They start the debate on sausages]
PD Na, who had been observing the entire exchange with growing amusement, finally interjected with a wry smile. “I guess the conflict never resolves completely,” he remarked, shaking his head.
[No]
The members, realizing how long the discussion had gone on, began shaking their heads and voicing their agreement. “We keep complaining,” S.Coups said, mimicking a mouth with his hand as if to demonstrate how they couldn’t stop talking.
“It lasts long,” Joshua added with a chuckle.
“I won’t be surprised if we’ll be talking about this till we get home,” Luna said, leaning back in her seat with a sigh as if already resigning herself to the inevitability.
“We’re sensitive about food,” Dokyeom explained to PD Na, his tone a mix of sincerity and amusement.
“It turned into a mess many times before,” Seungkwan added, nodding in agreement.
“We’re good with everything else,” Dokyeom added as if to clarify that food was the one area where they just couldn’t seem to find peace.
“The decision is made, but people never stop talking,” PD Na noted, clearly fascinated by the group’s dynamic.
“That’s why they come to me,” Jeonghan added, his tone light but with a hint of truth.
"DK was getting serious." Seungkwan said, pointing at Dokyeom with a playful grin, mimicked him from earlier, saying, "'He's removing what he can't eat.'"
[Portraying DK]
This caused Dokyeom to burst into laughter, joining in by imitating his own actions as well.
[No need for counseling]
[Round 2]
As Round 2 commenced, the atmosphere in the room grew serious. The members were more focused than before. This time, S.Coups would start, which meant Jun would only play once.
[This time, S.Coups will go first]
"Then Jun will play only once," PD Na confirmed, nodding towards the group. "Then the problem is The8."
Minghao waved his hand dismissively, "The8 isn't the problem," he said with a small smile, his confidence unshaken.
"Why not?" PD Na asked, chuckling at Minghao’s laid-back attitude.
"Just make the question easy," Minghao replied innocently, earning a round of laughter from the members and crew.
[Producer Na is the problem]
[Problematic Director]
[The8 is not the problem]
"I'll choose the question carefully," PD Na assured them, the laughter still lingering in the air. "Let's start with S.Coups," he announced as the leader leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, fully concentrated.
[The leader of SEVENTEEN, S.Coups]
PD Na pulled out the first picture and began the countdown, "1, 2, 3…"
S.Coups hesitated, the pressure was evident in his eyes. He stood up suddenly, blurting out, "Hwang Jung Min."
[Park Bo Gum]
"Wrong!" PD Na exclaimed, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife.
The room fell silent for a moment before it broke into chaos. Not only had S.Coups hesitated, but his answer was also completely off the mark. The question was the easiest one so far, shocking not just the members but also the writers who were present. All eyes turned to their leader, who now paced behind the seats, back and forth, before dramatically holding onto the wall as if in despair.
[SEVENTEEN is shocked]
"Ya!" Joshua pointed at him, his voice filled with both disbelief and amusement. "What are you doing?"
"What are you doing?" Dokyeom echoed, clearly flabbergasted.
Luna, still seated but with wide eyes, couldn’t hold back her surprise. "What just happened? That was the easiest one."
The members began to voice their shock and disappointment, the room now buzzing with incredulous energy.
[Park Bo Gum: As the former host of ‘Music Bank’]
[he probably said hi to SEVENTEEN]
[He probably introduced their new song too]
"Just go home," Seungkwan suggested, his tone dripping with playful sarcasm.
[Outraged]
Mingyu turned to PD Na, mock seriousness in his voice. "Can we remove one member at a time instead of the food?"
[Shocked]
"Give him up," Minghao chimed in, his voice completely deadpan.
"Let's just kick him out," Hoshi added, his own brand of humor causing the others to laugh despite the situation.
"He doesn't know how to play games at all," Dino pointed at S.Coups, shaking his head as if in disbelief, while the leader continued to stand at the back, feigning defeat.
Luna, unable to resist joining in on the teasing, deadpanned with a straight face, "You never know, that might be Hwang Jung Min in another universe," she joked, pointing at the picture as if she were seriously considering the possibility.
[Someone help S.Coups]
The room burst into laughter, the tension from S.Coups' earlier mistake evaporating instantly. Even S.Coups, still leaning against the wall in mock despair, couldn’t help but crack a smile at Luna’s witty remark, grateful for her ability to lighten the mood.
Jeonghan, ever the strategist, took charge of the situation. "We need to remove one," he declared, pointing decisively at the array of food options before them. His eyes scanned the dishes before settling on a decision. "Let’s remove them in order," he suggested, trying to instill some semblance of logic in the chaotic process.
However, Vernon quickly chimed in with his own idea. "No, let's remove the sausages," he proposed, his voice steady.
[Cool]
Luna nodded in agreement, and Jeonghan wasted no time. He pointed directly at the container of sausages, his tone firm, "Remove it."
Seungkwan and Dino, who were already on their feet, sprang into action. Dino grabbed the container with a sense of purpose as if removing the sausages was a mission of utmost importance. "Sure, the processed meat. Sodium nitrite," Seungkwan commented, shaking his head with mock seriousness. "It's not healthy."
[Sausages are out]
PD Na, observing their theatrics, couldn’t help but chuckle. "You worry about your health," he remarked, amused by the group's sudden concern for nutrition.
"Yes!" they chorused in unison, as if the entire group had just had a collective epiphany about healthy eating.
From across the line, Mingyu turned to S.Coups, curiosity etched on his face. "What were you doing earlier?" he asked, referring to S.Coups’ earlier flub.
S.Coups shook his head, still looking somewhat bewildered. "I couldn’t remember," he admitted, his tone sheepish.
"That’s what happens," Mingyu said, nodding sympathetically.
"It happens," Minghao added with a sage nod of his own, as if imparting some deep wisdom.
S.Coups, still nursing his pride, glanced at PD Na and confessed, "I yelled at them when I watched it," referring to the infamous ‘HYBE’ special where they got everything wrong.
PD Na gave him a knowing look, understanding the pressure. "S.Coups, I understand," Jeonghan interjected, his voice gentle, offering his friend some comfort.
Wonwoo, who had been relatively quiet until now, suddenly spoke up, his voice tinged with nervousness. "Why am I getting so nervous?" he asked, almost to himself.
PD Na, ever the problem solver, suggested, "I think you should move S.Coups to the center."
S.Coups, eager to shake off the earlier mishap, quickly stood up. "Can I sit in the middle?" he asked, looking for approval.
Without missing a beat, Mingyu moved to his seat, making him the first in line, while S.Coups settled into Seungkwan’s spot.
[Mingyu moves to the 1st seat]
Seungkwan, still in good spirits despite the chaos, looked at Mingyu and teased, "Mingyu, you weren’t that good last year," reminding him of the infamous ‘HYBE’ special with a playful grin.
[Round 3]
"Let's start," PD Na announced, the energy shifting as everyone prepared for the next challenge.
Mingyu, now in the hot seat as the first in line, tried to steady his nerves. Leaning forward slightly, he murmured to himself, "Who's there these days?" His focus sharpened as PD Na positioned himself in front of him, ready to reveal the next image.
"1, 2, 3," PD Na counted down, pulling the picture out. Without missing a beat, Mingyu confidently answered, "Jang Sung Kyu."
The room erupted in a mix of surprise and admiration. "He's good," S.Coups remarked, genuinely impressed.
"No wonder he's experienced," Woozi added. A few shook their heads, chuckling.
"I wouldn't have got it," Jeonghan admitted, acknowledging Mingyu’s sharpness.
[It requires concentration]
Next up was Vernon. PD Na moved in front of him, the atmosphere slightly more relaxed after Mingyu’s success. "1, 2, 3…" PD Na prompted, revealing the picture. But instead of a quick answer, there was silence. Vernon’s mouth hung open slightly, but no words came out.
"Wrong!" PD Na declared, breaking the silence with a hint of playful disappointment.
From somewhere in the background, Seungkwan, always quick to react, yelled out, "Kim Yeon Koung!" His voice rang out just as Mingyu, feeling victorious, stepped back to let the next player take his place.
S.Coups, however, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease. Standing up, he pointed directly at Vernon. "You can never yell at me," he declared with a triumphant grin.
"Kim Yeon Koung, who led Korea to the semifinal!" Seungkwan added, still slightly in disbelief that Vernon had missed such a well-known figure.
S.Coups wasn't about to let it go. "Admit it. You’re in no place to blame me," he said, a teasing tone in his voice as he looked at Vernon.
Vernon, still processing his mistake, nodded and shook his head. "We’re the same," he admitted with a resigned smile.
Mingyu, always one to keep the energy light, grabbed one of the large posters from the back. On it was one of their famous quotes, and with a mischievous grin, he raised it behind Vernon’s head. The sign read, 'ARE YOU OKAY?' The moment everyone saw it, laughter erupted around the room.
[Greetings]
"For real?" Mingyu asked Vernon, his voice still laced with amusement, making the atmosphere light once more despite the round’s pressure.
The debate over which dish to remove from the table heated up as Jeonghan sprang to his feet, determined to take charge of the situation. He reached for the container of rolled omelets, ready to make the decision himself. At the same time, Minghao, feeling equally decisive, grabbed the japchae container and announced, "Let's remove japchae."
However, not everyone agreed with this sudden move. A chorus of dissent rose from a few members, and before they could follow through, Wonwoo quickly extended his arm, signaling for them to pause. "Wait," he said, his voice steady but firm. S.Coups, already on his way over, echoed the sentiment with a pout, "Wait, not the japchae."
Jeonghan, sensing the resistance, raised his arms in a gesture of surrender. "What do you want to remove then?" he asked, a playful tone of exasperation creeping into his voice as he looked around at his indecisive teammates.
[Choose one already]
Seungkwan, however, had already made up his mind. He walked forward, confidently grabbing the container of japchae from Minghao's grasp. "No. Japchae raises your blood sugar level," he declared, his tone leaving little room for argument.
"That's high in carbs," Dokyeom agreed, nodding as they both returned to their seats, the japchae now out of the table.
[Japchae is out]
As the lively debate over the food continued to unfold, PD Na, with a playful grin, turned his attention to Vernon. "Vernon, you need to apologize," he teased, referring to Vernon’s earlier mistake during the game.
Vernon, feeling the weight of his error, offered a shy smile before bowing slightly in apology. "Are you going to be okay?" PD Na asked, still playfully asking him.
Wonwoo, sensing the need to comfort his friend, chimed in, "You know her, right?" His tone was reassuring, as if to remind Vernon that his slip-up was no big deal.
"Do you remember now?" PD Na followed up, clearly enjoying the banter.
Vernon nodded, his expression a mix of embarrassment and amusement. "I know her, but I couldn't recall her name," he explained, a hint of frustration in his voice at his lapse in memory.
S.Coups, always quick to empathize, added, "See? You get stuck," acknowledging how easy it was to draw a blank under pressure.
Mingyu then seized the moment to ask. "Wonwoo, do you want to come here? Anyone who hasn’t played yet want to go first? We won’t be able to eat anyway," he quipped, earning a hearty laugh from PD Na.
[It turns into an experiential learning]
"Right. We’ll end up eating rice and soup only," Jeonghan agreed, joining in on the humor as the group prepared for the next round, the tension from the game gradually melting into shared laughter.
As they prepared for the fourth round, some of the members began to shuffle their seats, creating a fresh dynamic. Vernon switched places with Dino and found himself sitting next to Luna, who greeted him with a warm smile.
[Vernon moves to the back]
[Dino who tried it before moves to the front]
Mingyu, feeling confident after his recent success, couldn’t resist making a bold statement. "I feel like I've become the ace," he declared, puffing up slightly with mock arrogance, eliciting chuckles from the group.
PD Na, ever curious about their mindset, asked, "Before playing the game, were you confident?"
S.Coups, recalling his earlier blunder, responded first. "When I watched the video, I thought I'd be good at it," he admitted, his initial confidence now tempered with humility. He shook his head in playful defeat. "Wow," he added, the disbelief still lingering in his voice, making PD Na laugh.
[People who are watching right now probably agree with you]
Seungkwan, who was seated next to S.Coups, deadpanned, "Getting Park Bo Gum wrong was a terrible mistake," bringing up the mishap with a seriousness that made the others smirk. The reminder made S.Coups smile in defeat, his expression one of resigned acceptance.
"I know. It was so easy," Jeonghan chimed in, adding to the gentle ribbing.
Seungkwan, always quick with details, pointed out, "He was the ‘Music Bank’ host when we debuted."
Hoshi, joining in from S.Coups’ other side, added, "He even performed 'Pretty U' at his fan meet," his tone both teasing and nostalgic.
Jeonghan, ever the contrarian in a playful way, added, "I still understand," though his words carried a hint of teasing contradiction, causing Luna to giggle from her seat next to him.
"I understand," Hoshi echoed, patting S.Coups on the back with exaggerated sympathy.
"It's okay," Seungkwan added, as they all took turns playfully comforting their leader, who stared blankly ahead with a sarcastic, pained chuckle, his expression making PD Na and the writers laugh heartily.
[If you've seen S.Coups' soul, please call ‘HYBE’]
"Let's go," Hoshi said, ready for the next round and eager to change the subject.
"I'm getting dizzy," S.Coups joked, his dramatic delivery causing more laughter to ripple through the group.
"They're so funny," PD Na remarked to the writers, his amusement evident as he watched the lively group banter.
[SEVENTEEN became a genre]
[Round 4]
As silence fell over the group, the atmosphere grew tense with anticipation. All eyes were on PD Na as he carefully shuffled the pictures in front of him, his movements deliberate and teasing. The members leaned forward slightly, eager to see what challenge lay ahead for Mingyu, who was first in line.
PD Na revealed the picture, holding it up for just a moment before he began his countdown. "1, 2, 3," he intoned, his voice calm yet commanding.
"Hwang Jung Min," Mingyu answered confidently, not missing a beat.
The room erupted in cheers, with the members expressing their excitement and relief. "Mingyu is the ace!" Hoshi exclaimed, springing to his feet to give Mingyu a high five. "Good job!" The energy in the room was infectious, with everyone feeding off the victory.
Mingyu, basking in the praise, mockingly puffed up his chest, wearing a smug grin that only made the others laugh harder.
[His shoulders are rising]
S.Coups, Hoshi, and Joshua exchanged a glance before pointing at him in unison, "Right now, it's sixty centimeters," they quipped, referencing the width of his shoulders— now a running joke among them because of the earlier interview.
[His shoulders are 60cm in width]
"Your shoulders got wider than Wonwoo," PD Na added with a chuckle, playing along with the banter.
On the other side, Luna couldn't hold back a snicker. She leaned toward Jeonghan, who immediately sensed her movement and bent down slightly to catch what she was about to say. "Is it not Park Bo Gum?" Luna whispered, her voice laced with playful sarcasm, referencing S.Coups’ earlier mistake of confusing Park Bo Gum with Hwang Jung Min.
[Someone help S.Coups again]
Jeonghan chuckled at the joke, clearly amused by her quick wit. “In another universe, maybe,” he said, referring to her joke earlier making her laugh. In response, he gave her a gentle poke in the waist, eliciting a surprised squeal from Luna as they both waited for their turn in the game.
[Next is Dino who played before]
As Dino's turn approached, the room's energy shifted slightly, with the focus now on the youngest member. Sitting next to Mingyu, Dino leaned forward, his eyes wide with concentration, clearly determined to give his best shot. The members around him began to cheer him on, their voices a mix of encouragement and playful pressure.
"Dino," they chanted softly, creating a supportive atmosphere. "You know them all," Seungkwan added from Dino’s side, his tone reassuring as he tried to bolster Dino’s confidence.
PD Na, ready to continue, held up the next picture, pausing momentarily before beginning his countdown. "1, 2, 3…" he called out, his voice crisp and clear.
Dino stared at the picture, his brow furrowed in thought. After a moment, he hesitated and said, "He's cool," not entirely sure who he was looking at. The uncertainty in his voice was evident.
[A cool guy]
"Wrong!" PD Na exclaimed, breaking the tension and sending the room into a burst of laughter. Some of the members stood up, clapping and cheering, while others playfully scolded Dino for his guess.
Dino shrugged, offering a sheepish smile as he excused himself, "I'm not good at it."
"It's okay," Luna chimed in, her voice comforting.
[Note: It is only okay for bunny no. 1 if it's someone adorable]
"The Korean Zombie," Wonwoo announced, revealing the correct answer.
Jeonghan turned to Vernon, shaking his head as he pointed out, "You shouldn’t have switched," he teased, knowing Vernon would have recognized the UFC fighter.
"From UFC," Vernon clarified for Dino, his tone understanding.
Luna, sitting next to Vernon, added with a knowing smile, "Dino doesn’t watch UFC."
"I don't watch UFC," Dino repeated, echoing her words as if to solidify his reasoning for missing the answer.
As the game moved on, the next challenge was deciding which dish to remove from their table, an ongoing debate that had already caused plenty of drama. Minghao, with his usual calm demeanor, stood up and confidently headed toward the front table, where all the dishes were displayed. He pointed at one with determination, announcing, "We should remove this."
His suggestion, however, was met with a chorus of loud disagreements. "Why LA galbi?" Joshua's voice rang out, filled with disbelief.
[He's from LA]
"Why? LA galbi is expensive," Luna added, her tone equally appalled.
"Don't mess with galbi," S.Coups warned, his voice carrying the weight of a leader defending a treasured dish.
[Galbi is like family]
Despite Minghao's attempt to remove the LA galbi, the team quickly overruled him, and after much discussion, they unanimously agreed to remove the salad instead. Jun, who had been eyeing the salad only, gladly allowed it to be removed. "Remove it," he agreed with a nod, happy to see it go.
[Salad is out]
[It was a big decision for Jun who was going to eat only the salad]
As the salad was being taken away, S.Coups spoke up again, "Why aren't we removing yogurt?"
Seungkwan looked at him incredulously. "What are you talking about?" he exclaimed.
"We need yogurt," Vernon insisted from his spot, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Seungkwan, always quick with a playful jab, patted S.Coups on the back. "You should be grateful we didn't remove you," he teased.
S.Coups laughed in defeat, knowing he had lost this round of the debate. "Thanks," he chuckled, the humor of the situation not lost on him.
As the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, PD Na raised a hand to gather everyone’s attention. "Who should go first?" he asked, ready to kick off the next round of their game.
"People who haven't played yet should," Mingyu suggested, his voice clear and confident.
[Those of you who haven't gone on the ride yet, come to the front]
At this prompt, a flurry of movement erupted around the room as the members began to switch seats, eager to shuffle into new spots. The commotion was lively and chaotic, with laughter and chatter echoing as fourteen members jockeyed for position. Jeonghan, who had been gripping Luna's pinky finger this entire time found himself separated from her as they were swept along with the crowd that is SEVENTEEN.
In the end, Jeonghan settled into a spot next to S.Coups in the middle of the group, while Luna ended up sitting on the right front side, nestled between Mingyu and Dino. The seat changes brought a new dynamic, and as everyone settled into their places, Hoshi commented from the first chair on the left side, "We'll be going nonstop from now on. You better get ready over there."
“I don’t think I’ll get it,” came a voice from next to Hoshi. It was Wonwoo, second in line, his expression revealing a hint of excitement and uncertainty.
"Wonwoo. Did you answer all the questions until now?" PD Na asked, his curiosity piqued.
"No," Wonwoo replied shyly with a chuckle.
Minghao chimed in, "Wonwoo isn't good at it," his tone light-hearted yet teasing.
"Do you want to switch just in case?" Hoshi suggested, turning to Joshua with an encouraging nod.
"I'm not good at it either," Joshua admitted as they switched seats, with Joshua moving to Wonwoo's original spot.
"Wonwoo tends to play the villain," Seungkwan remarked, a grin spreading across his face.
"I don’t watch TV," Wonwoo explained, his tone earnest as he tried to justify his lack of knowledge.
"Who doesn’t know these days just because they don’t watch TV?" Mingyu asked incredulously, shaking his head in mock of disbelief.
"All he watches is the game," S.Coups added, nodding knowingly at Wonwoo, who merely shrugged in response.
Jeonghan then turned to PD Na with a mischievous glint in his eyes, “You should just show him his own picture.”
“I want to be good at it. I’m getting nervous,” Joshua confided to Hoshi, his nerves evident as he adjusted in his seat. “I’m nervous to be here."
“It’s okay,” Luna softly chuckled at Joshua’s plight, her English accent coming through as she reassured him in English.
[Round 5]
As the fifth round began, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. The members were laser-focused, knowing the stakes were high with each dish removed from the table. PD Na shuffled through his stack of pictures, finally settling on one to show Hoshi, who was first in line.
“1, 2, 3,” PD Na counted down.
“Baekho,” Hoshi answered confidently, earning a round of claps and praise from the other members. His quick response and accuracy brought a wave of relief, as they successfully passed the first hurdle of the round.
[If he got it wrong, he would've spent 3 awkward years]
Next up was Joshua, his face a mix of concentration and nerves as PD Na presented the picture to him.
“1, 2, 3…”
“Lee Bo Young,” Joshua answered, his voice steady. For a moment, there was silence. Then, the room erupted— not in cheers, but in confusion.
[No?]
Hoshi, unaware that Joshua’s answer was wrong, started clapping enthusiastically, his usual bright smile on his face. But before he could get too carried away, Joshua’s eyes widened as he realized his mistake.
“Park Bo Young!” Joshua quickly corrected himself, but the damage was already done.
“Lee Bo Young is Ji Sung’s wife,” Seungkwan exclaimed, standing up with a look of disbelief.
“Park Bo Young?” Joshua asked again, this time with an innocent smile, as if trying to win them over with charm.
“From ‘Agency.’ You should’ve only said Bo Young,” Hoshi said, still somewhat clueless about the error but offering his advice nonetheless.
“You still got Bo Young,” Wonwoo reassured Joshua, trying to salvage the situation and boost morale.
Jeonghan, ever the quick thinker and skilled in mischief and cheating, leaned toward Joshua. “Did you say Lee Bo Young as in that person is Bo Young?” he asked, implying that the mistake was merely a slip in pronunciation.
Luna chuckled at Jeonghan’s cleverness before chiming in, “That’s right.”
“Yes, that’s true,” Joshua said, as if the realization had just dawned on him. “That’s it. Of course, I know Park Bo Young.”
[I can't be wrong]
“Lee as in 'this'?” PD Na asked, playing along with the humorous twist Jeonghan had introduced.
[Acting]
Joshua and Jeonghan immediately seized the moment, pointing at the picture as they both said in sync, “This is… Bo Young.”
Hoshi joined in on the fun, pointing out, “He’s American,” referencing Joshua’s background to justify the mix-up, trying to keep the mood light despite the mistake.
[It's got nothing to do with being American]
[Once you get bitten by SEVENTEEN, you have to get your act together]
[Or you end up getting persuaded]
“This is Bo Young,” Joshua repeated in English, trying to sell the cleverly made excuse.
Mingyu, always quick with a quip, couldn’t resist adding, “It’s so embarrassing. Don’t be so miserable,” which drew a laugh from Luna, her smile softening the moment.
Eventually, the laughter subsided, and the reality of the mistake settled in. Wonwoo, seeing that they needed to move forward, took the initiative. “So, what do we remove?” he asked, his tone practical, ready to accept their loss.
“Mini pork cutlet?” Joshua suggested, standing up to remove the dish himself. He knew they had to sacrifice something, and the mini pork cutlet seemed the most acceptable option.
“Let’s remove them in order except for kimchi,” Jeonghan agreed, always the one to find a way to maintain some semblance of fairness.
“Sorry,” Joshua said sincerely as he walked to the table, lifting the dish of mini pork cutlets with a resigned smile.
“Let’s leave kimchi for last,” S.Coups added, his voice carrying a tone of finality as the round came to a close. They all knew that kimchi was non-negotiable, a staple that no one wanted to part with.
[Mini pork cutlets are out]
As the fifth round drew to a close and the group prepared for the next challenge, Wonwoo looked around, suddenly realizing something.
"Am I the only one who hasn't played yet?" he asked, standing up from his seat. The others watched as he moved to the front of the line, swapping seats with Hoshi.
Seungkwan, ever quick with a playful jab, couldn’t resist, “You won’t even last for three seconds,” he teased, causing PD Na and the writers to burst into laughter.
[They're supposed to answer in 3 seconds]
From the other side of the room, Luna’s voice chimed in, gentle yet confident. “No, Wonwoo can do it. He’s smart,” she said, her tone soft but filled with belief. “I believe in you, Wonwoo.”
Wonwoo, who was usually calm and composed, blushed slightly at the encouragement. “I’m sorry, but don’t get your hopes up,” he responded shyly, clearly touched by Luna’s words but trying to keep expectations realistic.
“Wonwoo, you can do it,” Jeonghan added, his voice warm with support. A chorus of agreements followed from the other members.
“You can do it.”
“A picture of a SEVENTEEN member might pop up,” Jeonghan continued with a playful smirk, trying to lighten the mood.
[Pressure]
“It’ll be funny if we miss it,” Dokyeom chuckled, imagining the scenario.
PD Na, amused by the situation, looked at Wonwoo and said, “No one thinks you’ll succeed,” his tone light and teasing.
“Right. We’re just doing this for experience,” S.Coups chimed in, trying to manage expectations while keeping the atmosphere light.
“We can all be on TV,” Minghao added with a grin.
“When will we get to be here again?” Jeonghan mused his tone a mix of understanding and calmness.
“When will we get to play this?” S.Coups echoed, clearly enjoying the moment with his friends.
“We can always come back here later,” Mingyu said, looking around at the others with a confident smile.
“We should come back,” Minghao agreed, nodding thoughtfully.
“But you never know. It might keep going,” Hoshi added, trying to keep the momentum up.
“We might keep going,” Joshua agreed, his eyes glinting with determination.
“I believe in Wonwoo,” Luna reiterated, shaking her head with a small pout, her belief in him unwavering. Wonwoo, feeling the warmth of her support, couldn’t help but smile— a small, gentle smile that showed how much her words meant to him.
[Round 6]
Round six kicked off with a wave of anticipation. The members, still buzzing from the previous rounds, were eager to see how Wonwoo would fare.
"Come on, Wonwoo!" Jeonghan cheered, his voice full of encouragement, his eyes locked on Wonwoo, who was now in the hot seat.
PD Na shuffled through the pictures in front of him, finally picking one. He looked at Wonwoo and, with a steady tone, counted down, “1, 2, 3.”
“Key,” Wonwoo responded confidently, just as Dino, sitting across the room, muttered the same name under his breath, “Key,” in a subtle attempt to help him out.
The room erupted into cheers and claps. “Good job!” Luna called out, her face lighting up with a proud smile.
[Look at these people]
PD Na, however, had caught the quiet muttering from Dino. “I thought I just heard something,” he said, his eyes narrowing as he gestured toward Dino, who quickly pretended to cough.
“I was coughing,” Dino said, raising his hand as if to cover his mouth, trying to play it off casually. “I should’ve covered my mouth. Sorry.”
[The climate problem is very serious, isn't it?]
PD Na shook his head with a playful grin. “It’s a warning,” he announced, more amused than serious.
“Okay,” the group responded in unison, agreeing to the light-hearted reprimand.
[Next is Hoshi]
Next up was Hoshi. The energy in the room was palpable as PD Na held up the next picture. “1, 2, 3—”
“BamBam,” Hoshi answered without hesitation, prompting another round of cheers.
[He got a colleague for twice in a row]
“Hoshi’s good,” S.Coups noted, nodding in approval.
“The first question is always easy,” Woozi remarked, analyzing the trend.
“I want something like that too,” Vernon added nervously, watching as Hoshi basked in the praise.
[Joshua is next]
Then it was Joshua’s turn. He stood up, taking a deep breath, and as he prepared himself, he suddenly called out, “Wait.”
“Joshua, don’t say the last name,” Dino offered from his seat, trying to guide him.
[No last name]
“Add the last name at the end. Say, Bo Young Park,” Mingyu added, motioning with his hand as Joshua nodded, his hand on his chest, mentally preparing himself.
[Character Quiz World Version]
"Here we go," PD Na announced, setting the stage for Joshua’s turn. The room grew quiet as he began to count down, “1, 2, 3,” and then revealed the picture to Joshua.
Joshua’s reaction was immediate and priceless. “Urgh,” he groaned, his hands shooting up to clutch his neck in shock.
[What was that?]
[We just heard a weird sound]
The sudden, exaggerated movement caught everyone off guard, and the room erupted into laughter. Some of the members stood up, clapping in amusement, while others collapsed to the floor, overcome by laughter.
[Let's laugh for a second]
Dino and Mingyu, who were seated on either side of Luna, found themselves laughing so hard that they fell off their chairs, each grabbing one of Luna’s arms as they went down. The unexpected tug almost pulled Luna down with them, but she managed to stay upright, laughing at the hilarity of the situation.
“Wrong!” PD Na laughed, confirming Joshua’s failure, but the teasing was far from over. The members continued to laugh at Joshua’s dramatic display, some still on the floor, others doubled over on the other side of the room. Joshua, ever the performer, pretended to have a neck cramp, using it as a playful excuse for his blunder.
[Wriggling in agony]
“Wait! He suddenly got a cramp,” Hoshi called out, alerting everyone to Joshua’s antics. He played along, his voice full of mock concern as Joshua writhed in fake agony, his hand still on his neck.
A few members took the joke further, rushing toward Joshua with exaggerated worry. “Are you okay?” Seungkwan asked his voice a mix of laughter and pretend concern as he crouched beside Joshua.
[They're worried about his condition]
“Shua is amazing,” Luna said between laughs, wiping the tears from her eyes. Mingyu, still on the floor, pointed at her, laughing even harder at the sight of her struggling to compose herself.
[The game that makes you cry]
[They all burst into laughter]
PD Na and the writers couldn’t contain their amusement, laughing at the shameless display unfolding before them. Joshua, fully committed to the bit, slowly lay down on the floor, feigning pain and defeat.
[He shouldn't be okay]
[So he lies down on the floor]
Hoshi, always quick to join in on the fun, pointed at the picture again, his tone mockingly serious. “Who’s that?” he asked, drawing everyone’s attention back to the game.
[You must say the answer for this situation to be over]
“Oh, Uhm Jung Hwa!” Joshua suddenly exclaimed, sitting up as if the answer had just come to him. His enthusiasm earned another round of laughter and applause, everyone playing along with the excuse, reveling in the chaos of the moment.
[It seems that's how they film ‘Going Seventeen’]
As the laughter finally began to die down, Jeonghan turned to Joshua, still grinning from ear to ear. “Don’t be nervous,” he advised gently, his voice soothing in its sincerity.
Joshua nodded in agreement, his expression sheepish yet amused. “I was too nervous,” he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck as if still feeling the phantom cramp.
[He suddenly got a cramp]
Hoshi, never one to miss an opportunity to add a playful twist, chimed in, “His blood sugar level suddenly went up. Even his hair turned red.” This earned another round of chuckles as the group slowly started to settle back into their seats.
[Joshua is healthy]
In the midst of their playful banter, they noticed Vernon walking past them, dragging another chair behind him. Seungkwan, ever observant, asked, “Vernon, what’s wrong with your chair?”
[The chair broke when they made a fuss]
PD Na, clearly amused by the chaotic scene, explained with a laugh, “While one passed out, Vernon’s fixing the chair in the back. You’re all busy on your own.” The camera panned to Vernon, who smiled sheepishly as he adjusted the new chair, his old one having broken during the earlier commotion.
“You got it,” Minghao reminded Joshua of their earlier ruse, referring to the playful way they had tried to twist the rules in their favor.
“Yes, I did,” Joshua responded, puffing up with pride at his small victory, even if it was short-lived.
PD Na, always quick to bring them back to reality, quipped, “You took twenty-three seconds,” which made everyone laugh in defeat at the absurdity of it all.
[What a bummer]
“You’re accurate,” Jun noted, shaking his head in mock disbelief.
“We were on ‘Immortal Songs’— Uhm Jung Hwa special,” Wonwoo added, drawing out an enthusiastic chorus of agreement from the group, all of them nodding as the memory came back to them.
“How can you not get it?” PD Na asked Joshua, who responded with a deep bow of apology, his face a perfect picture of exaggerated regret.
[Sorry]
Before another lengthy debate about which dish to remove could begin, Jeonghan swiftly stood up, his expression decisive. Without a word, he grabbed the container of rolled omelets and removed it from the table, ending the discussion before it even started.
[Say goodbye to rolled omelets]
He returned to his seat with a satisfied grin, earning a few raised eyebrows and stifled laughs from the others, who were grateful to avoid another round of indecisive bickering.
[Rolled omelets are out]
Suddenly Mingyu, proposed with a light-hearted grin, “Shall we have people who appeared on ‘The Game Caterers’ last time sit together? Let’s sit together.”
The suggestion hovered in the air, eliciting a brief, almost uncomfortable silence. The camera captured the stillness as if it were holding its breath, waiting for the next cue. Luna, sitting beside Mingyu with an air of casual confidence, deadpanned in her most matter-of-fact tone, “Do you really think the seven of you who lost last time should all sit together in a row?”
Her words cut through the silence with a sharp clarity. The reaction was immediate and animated. The camera panned to PD Na and the show’s writers, who burst into laughter, their amusement evident as they pointed at Luna. The members, caught off guard by her bluntness, joined in, their laughter blending into the chaotic symphony of the studio. Mingyu, on the other hand, could only stare at the side of Luna’s face, his expression a mix of surprise and a mock resignation as she playfully winked at him after.
“It’s no use,” Jun chimed in, nodding in agreement with Luna’s assessment.
Seungkwan, ever the skeptic, pointed at the array of food laid out on the table and asked, “Do you really think we can eat this?” His tone was laced with incredulity, mirroring the shared skepticism of the group.
Dino, with his trademark optimism, countered with a hopeful smile, “I think we have hope.” His comment was an attempt to inject some positivity into the conversation, despite the prevailing doubts.
“We have to go both ways?” Hoshi inquired, his brow furrowed in confusion.
“Yes,” Luna confirmed, nodding.
“It’s impossible,” Minghao interjected, his voice tinged with resignation.
“Can you make it one way?” Jeonghan proposed, turning to negotiate with PD Na. His plea was a bid to simplify the task, showing his willingness to find a compromise.
“All right. It’s time to make a decision. We’re not here to fight,” PD Na began, his voice cutting through the chatter. The members nodded in agreement, their collective attention now focused on the resolution of the issue.
[We want peace]
“In this situation, it should be one way,” PD Na decreed, offering a pragmatic solution. The members, relieved by the compromise, clapped in appreciation. Their gratitude was palpable, a collective sigh of relief that was evident in their cheers.
“He cut it to half,” Seungkwan remarked, his tone reflecting the relief shared by everyone present.
“Thank you,” Luna said, her voice sincere as she expressed her thanks to PD Na.
“Let’s do this,” S.Coups declared, his voice brimming with resolve as he rallied the group.
“Yet, there are more people than other teams,” PD Na pointed out, referencing the discrepancy in team sizes. The members nodded, acknowledging the fairness of the observation.
[Yet you made us go both ways?]
The studio buzzed with a mixture of anticipation and playful banter as PD Na readied the group for the next round of the quiz game.
“Who’s going first?” PD Na asked, looking around at the eager faces.
“Mingyu keeps scoring,” Hoshi announced with a grin, nodding toward the tall figure next to him. “He’s good.”
Luna, who had been listening intently, added her agreement with a nod. “He’s good.” Her gaze shifted to Mingyu, who was seated right next to her. Starting with Mingyu would indeed mean that Luna would be second in line for the quiz— a strategic position she was content with.
“Luna is good too,” PD Na said, acknowledging her skill with a knowing smile.
“You saw the questions. Been practicing?” PD Na asked Dino.
“Yes, I got them all,” Dino answered confidently, giving a nod. His assurance was a source of added confidence for the team.
[Dino was very close]
“I bet Seungkwan knows everyone,” PD Na remarked, turning to the enthusiastic member next to Dino. Seungkwan nodded a sparkle of pride in his eyes.
“S.Coups, what about you?” PD Na inquired, shifting the spotlight to the leader who had yet to score a point.
“Half and half,” S.Coups replied with a shrug, his tone a mix of casual defeat and humor. His track record wasn’t stellar, but he took it all in stride.
“Take it easy. Don’t let it pressure you,” Mingyu advised, leaning back in his seat with a relaxed demeanor. His casual posture was a stark contrast to the tension in the air.
“Okay. I’ll sit like you too,” S.Coups said, mimicking Mingyu’s laid-back position with a playful smirk.
“Sit arrogant like me,” Mingyu said confidently. “Take it easy. You know these people.” His words were meant to reassure but came across with his signature blend of confidence and humor.
“If you reach Wonwoo, you win,” PD Na reminded them, referencing the ultimate goal of the game. Wonwoo, who was sitting quietly and watching the proceedings with an amused expression, was the benchmark they were all aiming for.
Seungkwan, who, catching the infectious enthusiasm in the room, declared with a confident grin, “Let’s do this.”
“We can do it,” Dokyeom added, his voice brimming with encouragement.
“We can do it,” Minghao echoed, his tone matching Dokyeom’s optimism. The repetition of the sentiment helped solidify the group's collective resolve.
“There are still five dishes,” Hoshi pointed out, his statement a reminder of the prize.
With the final pep talk and the remainder of the remaining dishes, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. The scene was set for the next phase of their comedic and unpredictable variety game show adventure, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting to see how the competition would unfold.

come back i still need you
paring : nonidol!jungwon x reader
warnings : character death, ANGST left and right, mentions of being depressed
word count : 1.5k
luna's diary : kinda shed a tear writing this
IT HAD BEEN, 3 weeks and 6 days, since you left him.
He was stuck in the endless loop of the 4th stage of grief. Depression, and was left wondering if he'll ever move forward to the next stage and accept your death.
Oh how cruel the world was. Taking away his lover and the plans for the future you guys had carefully planned.
You guys were walking on the street on the day it happened. Giggles filling the both of your bodies as a silver band of ring with a small diamond shined on your ring finger. He had just proposed to you, with promises of giving you everything he had to offer, of staying by your side until his last breath, to grow up even more and have little yous running around. Maybe you could get a dog and a cat and live in a beautiful home.
And then it happened.
He still remembers the way you shoved him to the side as a car came speeding towards you. Your yells still ringing in his ears from the past 3 weeks.
He remembers slowly walking to you trying to take in what just happened. In the corner of his eye he could see the once silver, shiny ring now covered in blood. Your blood. It was everywhere. He felt sick to his stomach. He cradled your face as he broke into sobs. "No no this can't be happening baby wake up" He called out for you as his sobs turned into a breakdown. He saw the light in your eyes slowly disappear. He saw the love of his life leave him, even though you were right there.
2 days later, it was your funeral. As everyone showed him sympathy and gave him hugs. He was still in denial. The first stage of grief. He couldn't even count the amount of times he heard "let me know if you need anything, Jungwon". He needed you back in his arms, but none of the people could give him that. There's no way you could have just left, right? What about the promises? The home? The dog and the cat? mini yous?
Few days later, he slowly slipped into the second stage of grief. Anger. He was mad at no one but himself. He should have been the one to die, not an angel like you. The car should have hit him. Not you. Or maybe he was mad at you too? why would you sacrifice yourself and leave him alone?
Then came in the third stage of grief. Bargain. He prayed and prayed that this would be a long painful nightmare. No way the world could have been so cruel on him. He was just 20 wanting to see life with you by his side, there's no way his fate was written like this.
After realising that this wasn't a dream, and you really were gone, entered the 4th stage of grief. Depression. He was an empty void as he laid on his bed all day leaving all his friends worried. He only got up to eat, which was very rare by the way. Leaving the texts his friends sent him on delivered, he read the last conversation you had with him. Where he mentioned the date and that he had a surprise for you and your excited text messages as a small smile crept on his lips. How he wished he never took you out.
Come back. He still needs you.
It was a new day as the sun shone through Jungwon's curtains. Today, was your one month anniversary, of you getting engaged and also since you left. Today was the worst of all days. It had been a month? no way. "i wish i could turn back time and change everything" he mumbled.
"Time" he jolted up as he remembered something you said about turning back time. Hope rushed through his eyes as he swiftly got out of his bad and rushed to take a shower and get ready. He could not believe he did not think of this sooner. Getting dressed, he rushed out of his home. Coming back taking the ring you once wore in his hands and heading to his car.
"I'm going to get you back, my love"
20 minutes later he reached your apartment. He did not have the courage to step into your apartment after your death. Opening the door he smelled your familiar scent for the first time in a month. Not wanting to waste time, he got in and rummaged through your belongings. "Where is it, god damn".
Finally spotting the shiny wooden box. He picked it up seeing a necklace with a tiny clock in it. Wearing it, he saw as it started to glow.
"How may I help you today?" a voice spoke out as he looked at a beautiful woman in front of him.
"Who must you be? you're not one of them" The voice continued referring to your blood line. "I'm Yang Jungwon, I lost my lover in a car accident, exactly a month ago from now"
"You wish to bring her back?" The voice questioned him. "Yes I need to please. She mentioned about this pendent to me a while back. You need to help me" He replied begging. "Jungwon, I'd suggest you move on. You'll lose yourself if anything goes downhill, and there are less number of chances of it going good and it going bad." The female figure said showing sympathy. "Please, miss. I don't have anything to lose anymore, she was my everything" He said breaking down into a sob.
Sighing, she touched the pendent on his colar. "What time do you want to go to?" she asked giving in. "Exactly a month ago" He said as the necklace started to glow again. "Goodluck, Jungwon" she said.
He was going to make sure you were alive. But at what cost?
In a blink of an eye, he was back. On the street, with you. "I honestly didn't expect you to do it today" Your voice said. Oh how he missed your voice, to see your face in front of him again and to hold his hand. He suddenly remembered why he was here as he became hyper-aware of his surroundings. He knew the car would be coming your way any second. Before he could think of changing your position, it was too late. The car was already coming towards you at an increasing pace. There was no way he could save the both of you.
So he did what he initially came back for.
He saved you.
Shoving your body to the side, he felt the car hit him as he lost consciousness. The last thing he saw was you standing and looking at him in utter shock. Atleast you were safe and alive.
"Jungwon? baby hey, wake up" you cradled his face and broke down into sobs, the same way he did, in another time line. You left a peck on his forehead as you left him there rushing to your apartment.
I'm not going to lose you Jungwon. Not like this.
You rummaged through your belongings, the same way he did. Wearing the pendent, you wished to go back 20 minutes from your present.
You were back with him, on the same street, holding his hand as you listened to him talk to you. You knew the time was near as you walked faster looking for a turn that could divert you form the path in which it was about to happen. Before you could find something, you heard the car's tire screech behind you. There was no way you could save the both of you.
So you did what you initially came for.
You saved him.
You shoved him to the side as the car came in contact with your body. The last thing you saw, was him. Atleast he was safe and alive.
He slowly walked to you trying to take in what just happened.
It was a new day as the sun shone through Jungwon's curtains. Today, was your one month anniversary, of you getting engaged and also since you left. Today was the worst of all days. It had been a month? no way. "i wish i could turn back time and change everything" he mumbled.
Fast forward to him wishing of going back to a month prior to save you. He managed to save you, but lost his life. Not being able to manage with the grief of him gone, you tried to save him. You managed to do so, but you lost yours in exchange. And this continued.
The woman was right afterall when she warned the two you.
Trying to save eachother, the both of you were stuck and lost yourselves in an endless time loop.

the weatherman's weathered heart | mark lee
genre: weatherman! mark lee x reader, enemies to lovers, slowburn
[series masterlist] [next chapter]
chapter one: coffee hit and run
This is the third time you’ve told yourself you’d stop drinking coffee, yet here you are again- preparing to do the literal opposite. Autumn has wrapped her fingers around summer’s waist, nippy morning air whistling through the crack of your bedroom window. Your cat, Luna, is napping on an armchair, making you jealous of her furnace-like warmth. You shrug on a denim jacket, a sturdy one passed down from your dad, then make your way down the block. Marnie’s, the ever beloved independent coffee shop in your hometown, is a seven minute walk from your house.
The conveniency of such is where you place blame for your lack of a backbone. It’s also on your way to work, Jagerman Printing Co., making the practice of scooping up your double americano (with a hefty splash of half and half) a staple in your morning routine.
A bell rings upon your entry and you shuffle into the short line. There’s three people in front of you: At the front of the line stands the town’s school bus driver. He gets a London fog, requesting half the amount of lavender syrup. Next is an artist type, struggling to hold a thick stack of photos in his hands as he orders his iced macchiato. You’ve seen him in your shop before, attempting to flirt with your coworker, Hongjoong, so he could get a discount on his prints. Finally, just in front of you, is a man in a suit. His hair is aggressively and artificially blonde, navy blue ensemble making it practically glimmer. He’s quite spiffy. Maybe he works at the bank, you think to yourself.
The alleged banker gets an iced americano. Triple. With an extra shot of espresso. The cashier, Marnie’s eldest daughter named Minnie, jokes that he must be really tired. The blonde man scoffs, but in agreement says, “You have no idea.” He tips generously, 4 dollars and some change, then side steps to wait for his drink.
Now it’s time to receive your poison. When she recognizes your face, Minnie says, “Your usual?”
To which you say, “Yes, please.” You tip as well, walking over to the side counter to wait. You pull out your phone, opening it to see that Hongjoong has texted you.
HJ (derogatory): This newspaper intern is clueless. Typo on the order for this week’s batch. Need more prints.
You: omw soon. Chat her up, can’t afford any negative reviews.
HJ (derogatory): No promises.
You rock back and forth on your feet, thinking about how many more newspapers the girl could possibly need. The most compelling news story you had read in the last year was about the town’s duck pond. This wasn’t exactly the New York Times. The error probably meant you’d be going into work a bit earlier tomorrow. Regardless, you liked your mundane job. Going into printing technology wasn’t the most glamourous, but where else does an affinity to paper and a concerning level of attention to detail lead you?
The menial admin work, e-mails and scheduling brought you comfort. You liked managing your little team. Some projects were more fun than others: birthday invitations, wedding save-the-dates, highschool yearbooks… Disdain only arose in you when people didn’t know how to do their job. Like this intern.
For some reason, the interns at the newspaper office across town were in and out like goldfish at a pet store. It felt like every other month you were having to explain to some poor kid how to properly put in a printing request for the coming week. Maybe you should do admin work over there. They’d probably think you were a genius. Or a magician.
You’re snapped out of your internal dialogue by the feeling of being shoulder checked. Hard. A few seconds pass, during which you register the sensation of liquid soaking through your shirt. The scent of espresso enters your nostrils and you scoff at the situation. Did someone just… spill their coffee on you?
You whip your head around, words caught in your throat, in an attempt to see who just ruined your morning. In a blur, you recognize the offender to be the blonde man who was in front of you in line. He’s running out of the door, half empty cup sloshing around in his frantic hand, while screaming into his phone.
“What?! I didn’t approve that poor excuse of a fucking article!” he says. “…Already in print? I said no, that journalist, she-”
“Hey!” You yell after him, looking at your chest in shock. “I think you spilled something!”
The bell above the door rings, signaling the alleged banker’s exit. The man doesn’t even look back, too engrossed in his argument to care.
When the adrenaline begins to fade out, you make eye contact with Minnie, who you assume saw the entire exchange from her spot behind the counter. She places your double americano on the counter, the side of the cup with your name sprawled on it facing outward. You walk up to the counter and take the warm drink.
While handing you some napkins, Minnie says, “At least his was an iced drink.” You look down at your cream colored top and the dark splotch that now adorns it. Fuck.
—
When you arrive at the printing shop, Hongjoong is beet red. The guy holds so much anger in that little body of his. He can be surprisingly intimidating, when the situation permits such.
“You do realize there’s a big difference between one hundred and one thousand, right?” Hongjoong says, voice laced with annoyance.
The mousy intern shakes. “Yeah, but– I just figured, y’know… since this is a weekly order, you might’ve realized it was a typo on your own.”
Honjoong chortles. “Oh, so it’s my fault? Newspapers are an antiquated form of media to begin with, and I’m not really sure why we continue to deal with this bullsh-”
You interject, shooting the intern an apologetic smile. “Take it easy, big man. You’re not scaring anyone in that vest,” you say. The intern stifles a scoff. “We’ll just print the rest tomorrow. No biggie.”
“Um, ‘yes biggie’. I don’t wanna work overtime. Gotta finalize the design for those marathon flyers too,” Hongjoong retorts.
He gives you the up-down, taking note of your frazzled demeanor and adds, “What’s with the stain on your shirt?”
“I’ll do it then,” you sigh. “I’ve got nothing better to do. And the stain? Don’t wanna talk about it.”
Hongjoong humphs.
Sliding behind the front counter, you place your satchel and americano down at your desk. Then, you head to the back, grabbing the boxes of newspapers you do have printed. They’re still warm from the press, the scent of the ink calming you down- if only slightly.
“Here’s a hundred copies. I’ll have the others by nine tomorrow morning. Just… be more careful next time,” you tell the intern.
“Got someone to help you carry these?” asks Hongjoong. The intern shakes her head. “I’ll carry them out. Which one’s your car?” The girl points and he promptly gathers the boxes.
“Hey, by the way,” you say to the girl, “do you know why they need an extra three hundred? The order is usually seven hundred copies a week.”
“Something about an interview with a weatherman. The moms here really like him-”
The door to the shop opens again and you think it’s Hongjoong, but when you turn, it’s the man from the coffee shop. He’s still on the phone. Great. The offender of your coffee hit-and-run is here to add insult to injury. What are the odds of that?
“Speak of the devil…” the intern says under her breath.
“I’m not exactly sure how the article got approved for print in the first place,” the man whisper-shouts into his phone. “I was told it was going to focus on my passion for meteorology or my down to earth persona. Not digging into my personal life. Whatever the intent, I want it scrapped. Entirely.”
Hongjoong now re-enters the shop, glancing at the suit-clad man, recognition flickering on his face. “Wow, we’ve got a small-town celebrity here in Jagerman’s? To what do we owe the honor?”
Finally, after hanging up the phone, the previously alleged banker says, “I’m here about the newspaper.”
“Just packed up the first batch of copies,” says Hongjoong. “Since when did you work for the newspaper?”
“I don’t work for the newspaper, I’m Mark… Mark Lee?” He says. Then, he looks at you expectantly.
Hongjoong simply laughs.
“Is that name supposed to mean something to me?” You ask, agitation rising in your chest.
“Channel 127 News? Beloved weatherman and meteorologist?” Mark continues.
Hongjoong laughs again. “A real big shot,” he says.
You shake your head. “Not ringing a bell.”
At this, the bank- weather…man scoffs incredulously. “Well if you crack open one of those newspapers, you’ll see my face all over it.”
“Ah. Popular with the moms. Well, as I told this young lady here,” you gesture to the intern, “we’ll have the rest of the copies tomorrow. There was a misunderstanding with the printing order.”
“That’s what I’m here about. I don’t want them printed.” Mark crosses his arms.
“Well, they already are,” you huff. You had cut the intern some slack, but this guy? He’s a grown man pouting over some paper. And he spilled coffee on you. Honestly, you were more upset about the latter- and the fact that Mark seemingly has no recollection of this. Are you that invisible? Forgettable?
Nevertheless, the weatherman persists. “Then I don’t want them distributed,” he says.
You cross your arms, mirroring Mark. “You have no authority over that decision.”
Mark exhales dramatically, pinching his nose bridge in frustration. “Are you always this rude to your customers?”
“Do you always spill coffee on unassuming printing technicians?” At this, Mark pauses, finally placing your face. As recognition floods his features you add, “Four shots of watered down espresso on my new shirt. It’s a shame really.” Mark’s face flushes.
“What could possibly be in this article that would make you come all the way here? The news station is on the other side of town,” you inquire.
Mark stammers. “It’s nothing-”
“An affair? Tax fraud? Oh my god, I’m the first to hear about Weatherman-Gate,” says Hongjoong.
You chuckle. “‘Small-Town Weatherman Commits Tax Fraud”. What a headline. I’d actually read that.”
“I didn’t commit tax fraud. I just… didn’t approve of the article. So that’s illegal, right?”
The intern tuts. “You undergoing the interview was the approval. No take backs.”
“‘No take backs’? Are you a toddler?” asks Mark.
“I’m 21,” she responds, chipper as ever.
“So, you are a toddler,” you and Hongjoong say in unison.
“Jinx!” exclaims Hongjoong. “Buy me a coke after my shift?” You wave off his question, returning to the issue at hand.
“I’m sorry, but this isn’t my problem,” you say.
“Look, I’m sorry I spilled coffee on you, I am, but this is my livelihood. I’d really appreciate it if-”
“You’re gonna have to go to the newspaper office,” you contend. “Like I said, this isn’t my problem.”
Mark goes quiet. As you turn to walk back to your desk, he whispers out a plea. The quiver in his voice makes you stop in your tracks.
“Please.” You spin back around to see that his eyes are now glassy. For a moment, you think he’s about to cry.
You look over to Hongjoong. He’s not having any of it. Knowing him, he probably thinks this Mark guy is full of shit. However, you (unfortunately) have empathy. Whatever’s in this article, he doesn’t want it to come out. You sigh. The admin at the newspaper isn't gonna like this one bit.
“We only have a portion of them printed,” you confess. “If you can get the editor to change the article by tonight-”
Mark erupts into a gleeful cheer, effectively cutting you off. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” He engulfs you into an awkward embrace, jumping up and down like a little girl.
Hongjoong snaps a picture. “A lot of Facebook moms are gonna be jealous of you,” he says.
While in Mark’s hold, you remember the stain on your shirt. “One more thing.”
Mark immediately concedes, finally freeing you from his death grip. “Yes. Anything. I’ll do anything,” he says.
“You owe me a new shirt.”

“Okay, so let me get this straight,” Jeongguk says, walking beside you as the two of you make your way to his hair appointment. You’d booked it a few days ago, the same morning you took him shopping, and today is the day you get to see the back of those split ends. Though, instead of being excited about the prospect of a haircut, Jeongguk is ironing out the finer details of the hasty text you sent him after lunch with Mina and Irene, “you’re helping me get a date with Sana, who will be at the party. Yet you want me to go to this thing with you as your date?”
You resist the urge to roll your eyes at his big dumb boy brain for not seeing your vision, but you settle for a quiet, exasperated sigh instead, “Not a date, per se. As a friend, two friends who will arrive together. I’ll make introductions and such, and then I’ll let you loose in the wild,”
Jeongguk’s hands find home in the pockets of his baggy jeans, his shoulders shrugged up to his ears, “Yeah, well your people are certainly animals, I’ll give you that,”
While Jeongguk isn’t totally off base with his astute observation of your inner circle, you huff anyway, feeling oddly protective when you know he considers you part of those ‘people’. When you imagine Jeongguk at Jimin’s party, you picture a baby lamb hanging out with a pack of wolves. Not the best image going forward, but your goal is to make Jeongguk into more of a fierce, well-dressed dog - perhaps not a wolf, but you have to take baby steps.
“Just stick with me, and I will take care of everything. Mina and Irene are really harmless,” You pause as Jeongguk reaches for the door to the salon, opening it for you to enter, “Well, at least Mina is,”
He cocks a brow, but doesn’t say anything further before you walk in, Jeongguk following close behind.
The day of the party arrives faster than you would have liked, especially given that you have a paper due for one of your classes and for the first time ever, you’re actually a little behind. Only by a paragraph or two, but it’s still a mark on your pristine reputation.
This bet business with Irene has left you feeling a little overwhelmed, with a sizable amount missing from your allowance thanks to trips to designer stores and salons that you haven’t even had the luxury to enjoy. Monique offered to do your nails while you were waiting for Jeongguk to finish, but in the end you had to leave before seeing the end result anyway, which is something you’re not pleased with. You only hope that Jeongguk didn’t opt to suddenly go bleach blonde, or get a blue streak through his hair just to spite you.
When your phone rings, you’re in the middle of taking your hair out of the heated rollers your father brought back from his business trip to the States, and you reach over to see it’s Jimin calling you. There’s a vaguely icky feeling in your tummy, but you run with it, sliding your finger along the screen and setting it to loud speaker.
“Y/N? Hey,” Jimin says, his voice just as musical and pleasant as you remember it. You can almost picture him now, slouched in an artsy sort of way across his bed as he speaks to you, probably shirtless and definitely smiling, “I just wanted to check in before the party. I figured Irene might have told you I’m bringing Luna,”
Ugh, of course. While, yes, Irene already gave you a heads up, you’re still non-too-pleased about seeing your ex and his new girlfriend. There are no lingering feelings left behind, even after the awkward nature of your breakup, but the whole thing still makes for an uncomfortable evening, especially when you’re going to be mentoring a very tall, very moody photography major most of the evening.
“Yes, Irene told me,” You say in the brightest voice you can muster, “I don’t know if she told you, but I’m actually bringing someone too,”
“Oh,” Jimin says, sounding surprised by the new information. You’re too grown up to be petty, but you can’t prevent the satisfied smile that creeps across your face at his flustered response, “I didn’t realise you were seeing anyone,”
Damn, not quite the idea you wanted to float, but you can’t exactly back out now. Jeongguk will understand, or maybe you don’t even have to tell him to pretend to be dating you. It’s not like you’ve ever been a fan of PDA, and Jimin knows that more than anyone.
“It’s…new. And, not especially serious,” You grimace, “It’s super casual,”
“That doesn’t sound like you at all,”
“I’m trying something different,” Is your quick response, “the end of relationships are usually a time where people experiment. New hair styles, new tattoos,”
New fake, unaware, casual, photography major boyfriends.
“Ah,” Jimin’s voice is muffled, like he’s speaking away from the phone, but all you hear after a few muffled noises are the words that come next, “well, I suppose I’ll see you in a couple hours,”
“Yes,” You say, “see you soon,”
When you hang up, it’s all you can do not to scream into a pillow, but obviously that would ruin your makeup. So you settle for throwing said pillow at your wall instead, though it doesn’t give you nearly as much satisfaction.
Two hours later, you leave the house to wait outside for Jeongguk. You had arranged for him to pick you up after sending him your address, and you look out for a non-descript, modest car. Instead, what you hear is the rumble of a motorbike engine, and you grit your teeth, counting to ten before you look up just as the sound quiets.
“Of course, he drives a motorbike. Why wouldn’t he?” You mutter, walking down the path towards the clean, empty street where Jeongguk is parked clad in all black, donning a red helmet. His eyes meet yours as he flips up the black visor, blinking at you until you come to a stop in front of him.
“Good evening,”
There’s a moment where you just look at him, deadpan and unsmiling. He sighs, swinging his leg off the bike and standing to his full height. For some reason he seems taller, and it’s only when you look down that you see the clunky, black boots on his feet.
“You didn’t think this might be worth mentioning?” You ask once you raise your face to his again, squinting a little in the setting sun.
Jeongguk looks down, still wearing the helmet, and shrugs, “I can’t wear expensive, fancy shoes on the bike,”
“I’m not talking about the boots,” You roll your eyes this time, giving in to the urge, and you almost think you hear Jeongguk snort quietly, his leather-clad shoulders jumping on a laugh, “I meant the bike. You agreed to pick me up and didn’t mention we would be riding a death-chariot to the party,”
Stepping away and walking to the large compartment on the back of the bike, Jeongguk doesn’t immediately reply, instead he flips the lid, pulling out a matching helmet and handing it to you. When you give him a stony glare and cross your arms over your chest instead of taking it, he glances heavenward, as if you’re the frustrating one.
“Come on, Y/N. The bike is only dangerous if there’s a moron driving it,”
“Could’ve fooled me,” You mutter, taking the helmet and attempting to figure out how the whole thing works. You don’t like the person you become when you’re with Jeongguk, it’s almost like he’s just beginning to bring out this whole other side of you. He’s the first person you have ever felt the urge to hit, for example.
As you struggle to figure out how to pull the helmet on without ruining your immaculately styled hair, Jeongguk tuts, grabbing the offending item off of you and standing right in front of you. He holds it over your head and waits, speaking quietly and oddly patient despite your reluctance, “Might wanna tuck your hair behind your ears unless you want it sticking to your cheeks the whole ride there,”
Hesitantly, you do as he suggests, flipping your hair back so it’s behind your shoulders. It’s not going to make a whole lot of difference, you know, but you figure you might as well take Jeongguk’s advice. It’s only when the helmet touches the crown of your head that you duck away, peering up at Jeongguk as he rolls his eyes and drops his arms, the helmet hanging by a strap in one of his hands.
“Is this gonna ruin my makeup?”
“Probably,”
“Jeongguk,”
He frowns, hard to see due to the helmet, but you see the scrunch between his brows, “Y/N, you look fine. You can fix it when we get there, I know you carry around one of those little compact things,”
You do, but that’s beside the point. With what feels like your seventh sigh in as many seconds, you nod, bracing before Jeongguk begins to tug the helmet down onto your head. It’s not the most comfortable thing in the world, and your face feels a little squished, but Jeongguk notes that it’s for your safety, so you let it go.
After getting on the bike first, Jeongguk instructs you to put a hand on his shoulder, using that to pull yourself up while placing a foot on the small footrest on the side of the bike. Once you copy his earlier movements and swing your leg over the seat, you plop down, jostling the two of you slightly as you try to get comfortable.
“You can hold onto me, or there are some handles on either side of your seat. My shoulders or my waist are fine, but try not to tug on me too much,” He says, turning to face the front before he twists his wrist, the bike roaring to life beneath you both. He checks on you a couple more times before he lifts his visor once more to speak over the rumble of the engine, “Oh, and hold on tight. I like to ride fast,”
“Wh- Ah!”
The bike moves with a sudden jolt, the speed steady at first before Jeongguk leans into the wind, the houses on either side of the road moving past you both in a blur. Your hands alternate between gripping the handles on either side of your seat and squeezing at Jeongguk’s shoulders, adrenaline beginning to rush through your veins as the bike turns onto the main road.
Now, you know what Jeongguk means about riding fast. The wind rushes past you, so strong it almost feels like you might be blown off the bike from the force of it, but you just mimic Jeongguk’s movements and lean into it, using him as a shield. It’s now that you notice the broadness of him, the sheer size of his body as you hunch behind him on the bike, your hands clutched at his shoulders for fear that you might fall off at the next turn. Every so often, the bike pauses at a red light, and Jeongguk looks over his shoulder and gives you a thumbs up to check in. All you can do is return it, and then you’re off again.
You want to hate it, because really, you should. It’s dangerous, reckless, and not at all what anyone in your circle would expect you to do. But there’s a little voice in the back of your mind that quips maybe that’s why you’re having so much fun. And you are, despite the fact your makeup is being rubbed off by the rough material inside the helmet, and your hair will be flat when you get to the party.
Under the visor, you’re smiling, and you can’t even help it.
You both make it to the party in one piece, and despite the surprising urge to tell Jeongguk to keep driving, you hop off the bike with a little help. Jeongguk unclips the helmet from under your chin and lets you pull it off. Your cheeks are flushed and warm, and probably red raw from the helmet. You can only imagine you look a mess, but when you glance up at Jeongguk to get his opinion, he’s staring at you.
Or at least you think he is, because he’s still got the helmet on.
“Will you take that thing off already?” You say, “I haven’t seen the new haircut,”
“Maybe I should keep it on,” Is his quiet reply, and you tilt your head to the side, shooting him a blank look, “Fine, fine. But it feels weird,”
His hands reach up to unclip the latch, before they plant on either side of the helmet to tug it off. When you see his face again, your eyes latch on two things at once, somehow.
First, the haircut is…good. Probably not what you would have told him to get, but it’s nice. A shorter version of the long hair he had before, a little choppier, like a shaggy mullet. It suits him, and you admit he probably would have hated changing his appearance more than he already has.
Second, your eyes fall to his lips. More specifically, the new, silver ring that wraps around the lower one. That certainly wasn’t on the menu.
“When -”
“I know,” He says, lifting his hands up in surrender after putting his helmet away, “but I felt like I was losing my style a little. I just wanted to do something I’ve always wanted, so I did. And I paid for it with my money, so you can’t really say shit about it,”
Well, he has you there,
“Fine, the piercing isn’t bad. I’ll allow it,” You nod, threading your fingers through your hair at the root and fluffing it a little, “Do I have helmet hair?”
“No, you have rich girl hair,” He deadpans, and you roll your eyes in response. Any more eye rolling, and you’re sure you’ll lose them in the back of your skull.
Jeongguk finishes securing the bike, locking up and running a hand through his shorter hair. The strands still tickle the back of his neck and fall over his forehead, but you have to admit he looks better without so much weight and bulkiness crowding his head. Now you can actually see his face, and his eyes, which are dark brown and twinkly. And looking at you.
“You good?”
Blinking, you smile, falling into step with Jeongguk before you pause, causing him to groan impatiently. When he asks what’s wrong, you offer him a sheepish smile, biting your lip, “So…there is one little thing I forgot to mention,” he doesn’t reply, instead he raises a brow in question, his lips pouting a little while that silver ring glints at you mockingly, “So, this party is my ex’s cabin, and he’s a little annoying. Basically he got a new girlfriend, so I just need you to pretendtobemynewcasualboyfriend, okay?”
“What was that?” He asks, eyes wide, “You want me to be your casual…?”
“Fake casual,” You reply, pausing because it feels like knives in your throat to actually say the word, “...boyfriend,”
Jeongguk just stares at you, giving you that same deadpan look you’d given him mere moments ago, and you can appreciate how that might be a little bothersome, now you think about it. He crosses his arms over his broad chest, looking like an arrogant ass, “Is this not what we talked about?”
“I know I said it wouldn’t be that kind of situation, but plans have changed and hey,” You step towards him, head craned to look at his face, but he doesn’t move, “I’m helping you out. I just need you to do me this one, small favour. I mean it’s not even really a big deal, just nod along when someone talks about us dating casually. Make sure you say casual -”
“I think I’ve got it,” He speaks louder over your tirade, sighing in a quick exhale before he thrusts his hand at you without looking. When you don’t take it, he glances down at his empty hand before looking at you, “Well?”
“I don’t hold hands,” A nervous cackle escapes your lips before you can stop, so you pass it off as a cough, “Holding hands isn’t very casual,”
“I hold hands with people I date,”
“It’s not dating, it's casua -”
“Y/N!” Jimin’s voice calls from the door to the cabin, cheery and clearly a few beers in, he jogs down the steps and strolls over to where you and Jeongguk are still stood at the beginning of the dirt path, “So good to see you after...everything,”
You swallow down a grimace and heaps of second-hand embarrassment, nodding quickly as if you’re fraying at the seams. Maybe you are, after all, these two men are going to be the death of you.
“So good to see you…after…” You swallow again, hard enough that your throat aches, “that,”
As if sensing the tense and uncomfortable energy, Jeongguk throws a heavy arm around your shoulder, offering his other hand to Jimin for him to shake, “Hey, Jeongguk. I’m the casual boyfriend,”
Oh, kill me now.

head over heels (m) (eddie munson) | 01
Virginia never imagined knights could wear leather jackets and denim vests, but there he was, looking at her with the roundest, sweetest eyes she had ever seen, ready to take her home on his white van.
pairing: eddie munson x virginia de luna (original female character)
genre: angst, fluff, mature.
chapter’s warnings: being called names (virgin, freak), swear words.
playlists: eddie, my beloved | virginia’s mixtape
chapter index | next chapter
Virginia had never slept in in her life. She was the type to set her alarm two hours in advance to avoid any risks. So, when she woke up on a Monday morning and realised that her alarm hadn’t gone off and classes were fifteen minutes away from starting, she panicked.
She struggled with her cheerleading uniform as she brushed her teeth, thanking her past self for being organised enough to stack the books she would need the previous night. Ten minutes before classes started, Virginia bursted in the bathroom to comb her hair in a high ponytail. But she couldn’t find her green bow, where the heck was the bow? She swore she had seen it on Friday.
Five minutes and she decided to just ask Chrissy for a spare one while she ran downstairs to pack her lunch in the backpack hanging off her shoulder. She opened it and shoved the plastic container inside, taking a quick glance of the items in the backpack only to realise that one of the books was missing. But she found the bow.
Virginia got on her bike when the bell was already ringing, knowing damn well that she wasn’t going to make it to her first class on time because for some reason her Calculus book was trapped in her locker.
She reached the high school ten minutes later, sweaty and with incredibly sore legs from pedalling. Having parked her bike, she ran in and straight to her locker, which seemed to also go against her, because it didn’t matter how many times she twisted the lock, it just wouldn’t open.
Stopping for a moment, she closed her eyes and breathed in, trying to control the pulsating vein in her temple. She spinned it three times to the right, then proceeded to enter her combination for the fourth time. It unlocked and opened, letting her take a glance of her Calculus supplies inside, including the book.
So concentrated was Virginia on getting every single item she needed out of the locker that she failed to notice a person approaching down the hall, luring like a shadow. It wasn't until she closed the locker and turned around that her body collapsed against something, pressing the books to her chest before they fell to the floor, creating a pool of pages full of Calculus notes, doodles and letters her friends wrote when they were bored during classes.
In front of her was none other than Eddie Munson, the school’s freak, according to her friends and… well, everybody. He had a surprised look that Virginia mistook for anger, and as she kneeled to the ground, she started to apologise.
“I'm sorry,” she grabbed her notes and shoved them inside the book quickly, bending the pages in the process, “I’m so sorry, I was…”
Virginia didn’t know if it was embarrassment or fear what made her babble uncontrollably. She had never encountered the boy face to face, far less in an empty hallway. Would he curse? Scream or make a scene that would end with her crying? He looked pretty scary with his tattoos, skull rings and Hellfire Club tee. Maybe she was panicking a little.
To her surprise, none of the crazy scenarios developing in her head ended up happening. Instead, Virginia heard the raspy sound of denim and looked up to see Eddie kneeling in front of her. He grabbed a piece of paper, glanced at the caricature on it and chuckled.
“Is this principal Higgins?” He asked.
Virginia wasn't sure of how to answer. It was the first time she crossed words with Eddie. Jason had told her once that he was Charles Manson's son whose mother had run away, leaving him with a man that pretended to be his uncle, and that he had changed his surname from Manson to Munson in an attempt to disguise his true identity. It was a lie, of course. Jason liked to play those kind of jokes on her all the time.
“Yeah?”
Eddie smirked, then passed her the sheet, making eye contact for the first time. Virginia thought he had the roundest eyes she had ever looked at.
“That’s funny.”
Virginia quietly thanked him as she finished gathering her belongings from the floor, rising at the same time as him, noticing his height for the first time. He was taller, which forced her to look up.
She pressed the mass of messy pages and books against her chest, struggling to look at Eddie in the eye again. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you.”
“I’m used to that, you know? People acting like I’m invisible?” He joked, but she took it to heart. The last thing Virginia wanted was to make someone feel bad.
“Oh, no.” Shaking her head and mumbling words like that, she was sure she was embarrassing herself. “I didn't mean it like that.”
“It’s fine. It’s my fault, anyway. For getting in the way of a popular kid.”
Virginia almost scoffed. “I’m not popular.”
“Yeah, well… that uniform begs to differ.”
She had almost forgotten she had her cheerleader outfit on. The head cheerleader, Chrissy Cunningham, wanted the team to practise after classes.
Virginia loved cheerleading. Being thrown in the air, then caught; laughing with the team because of a silly mistake. Belonging to a group was a big deal for her. That day would be different, though, because they would practise the routine in front of the basketball team, which meant that a bunch of boys would be paying attention to her. Well, not specifically her. Most of them wouldn’t even consider her worthy of a glance, being the newest addition to the team: the young and shy Virginia.
Her? Popular? She had to laugh.
“I’m late for class.”
“So am I.” Eddie started walking backwards, not worried in the slightest. About to turn around the corner of the hall, he gave her the pistol hands. “Nice bow, by the way.”
Then, he disappeared.
Virginia’s late arrival to class got her a detention Chrissy wasn’t happy about.
Of course she didn't want to practise a routine in front of hormonal basketball players, yet at her freedom’s expense. But she knew she had been late, so she accepted the punishment. She grabbed the paper Mrs. Grabowski had given her along with a warning (“I hope this doesn’t become a regular habit”, she had said, pushing her black glasses back with her index finger) and to detention she headed, with a racing heart. How would she explain it to her parents? She had never gotten detention before. What kind of students would be there? Not those responsible and kind, surely.
As she walked in, she caught a glimpse of two members of the basketball team occupying two chairs in the back row. And two desks to the left, by the window, was Eddie. Probably because of the same reason as her, she thought. A cloud of guilt formed above her head. She stepped into the class, head held high, and gave the wrinkled paper to Mr. Clarke, who gave her a surprise look.
“Ms. de Luna, how come?”
Virginia shrugged apologetically. “I overslept.”
Mr. Clarke nodded, as if it had happened to him too at some point of his life, then told her to find an empty seat. When she looked around, she realised the last one was in front of Andy, one of the basketball players.
Virginia passed Eddie by on the way to her seat but didn’t say hi, and sat down just as Mr. Clarke closed the door, reciting the rules of detention whilst she got the heavy Literature book out of her backpack. The first twenty minutes went by peacefully. Virginia was focused on analysing an extract from Romeo and Juliet, thinking that detention wasn’t that bad. After all, she would get home having done a big part of her homework.
But then, the door opened and Mike Wheeler’s head poked through it to ask Mr. Clarke for help with a project he and his friends were working on.
Mr. Clarke left eventually, not before emphasising on the fact that those moving from their seats or speaking too loudly would get two more weeks worth of detention. It looked like the threat had worked.
At least, for the first five seconds, which was the time it took Andy to tap Virginia’s shoulder.
“Hey, Gin, what are you doing after?” He asked, leaning on his forearms to get closer to her.
“I’m going home.” Virginia stated. “I’ve got a History essay due tomorrow.”
Andy interchanged smirks with his teammate before speaking again.
“Do you want me to give you a ride?” He pushed, using his fingers to comb his long fringe back when Virginia looked at him again.
“It’s okay, I brought my bike.”
“C’mon, I don’t mind.” Virginia had already given him her back, trying to focus on her work again. She knew exactly where the conversation was going, and she didn’t like it. After a few seconds where Andy expected an answer, he spoke again. “My parents are working, so we’ll be alone. We can… you know?”
The boy let out a loud, rumbling laugh. Virginia noticed that people had tuned in to listen by the way they looked back every now and then. Some found the situation funny, some were annoyed by the sound of Andy's voice. She faced him, trying to gather all the courage she could.
“I have no interest in being alone with you, anywhere. And I can get home just fine.”
Andy scoffed, his eyes piercing Virginia’s back. He squirmed in his seat, clearly uncomfortable. Virginia liked that he felt like she had been feeling the whole time.
“Whatever.” He glanced around, as if trying to make clear for everyone that her blatant rejection hadn’t faded at all. He adjusted his varsity jacket. Virginia wished she had her headphones on. “Who likes a prude, anyway?”
There it was, the word Virginia hated with a passion. She hated the way her whole self was reduced to a concept as ridiculous as prude. Prude for what? For not wanting to have sex with boys who didn’t look past what her underwear covered? Who wouldn’t even look at her face after a night together nor cherish the memory? And, at the same time, she couldn't help but feel stupid because, by her age, a lot of girls had had sex already. Several times, in fact.
“C’mon, man.”
Virginia lifted up her teary eyes from her Literature homework, staring at the person from the seat by the window. Eddie had turned around, giving Andy the coldest look.
Andy lifted his chin in Eddie’s direction. “Did you say something?”
“Leave her alone.”
The jock looked at his friend, laughing in disbelief before standing up. “What’s the problem, freak? You know her?”
Unlike her, Eddie barely reacted to the insult, also standing up from his seat. “She already told you she’s not interested. I know mommy and daddy haven’t taught you the meaning of the word no, but it’s not that difficult to understand.” Then, he shrugged. “Or maybe what people say it’s true. You jocks are really fucking stupid.”
An airy laugh escaped Virginia’s lips, delighted by someone telling Andy everything she thought of him but didn’t have the courage to utter. It was the worst thing she could do. Andy turned around to look at her with the eyes of a lion with a hurt pride. First, a rejection. Then, a public humiliation from the school’s freak himself, who wasn’t as tall nor as strong as him. Virginia laughing at the situation was the last straw.
“What do you find so fucking funny, Virgin Mary?”
It was the last thing Andy got to say before Eddie pushed him. What followed was his fist impacting against Eddie’s jaw.
The next day, the whole school knew that Eddie the Freak had fought during detention for the pride of the youngest cheerleader on the team.
Virginia had spent the morning trying to avoid being perceived, sitting at the back of the class and burying her face in the books. No eye-contact, no chatting. Even then, she could hear her classmates whispering, looking at her, some more obvious than others. She knew she could avoid the topic for now, but there were ten minutes left for lunch. She would have to face not only the cheerleader team, but Jason and his friends, too. Including Andy.
Her mother had cooked her lunch that day, there was no need to go to the cafeteria. But wouldn’t that make things worse? And besides, why was she hiding? The fight hadn’t been entirely her fault, had it? Andy had been the one picking on her shamelessly. And Eddie… Well, he was just trying to defend her. Or to shut Andy up. It was well-known that the Tigers and the Hellfire Club had never got along.
The bell rang. A river of students in colourful clothing walked out of the door until Virginia found herself alone, clearing the desk as slowly as possible. She grabbed the paper where she had written about the Bill of Rights. At the bottom, on the right corner, there was the doodle she had done of principal Higgins which Eddie had praised and called funny.
Honestly, Virginia couldn’t understand why everyone spoke so badly of him, saying he was mean and weird. He had been nothing but nice to her. Her family had always told her that drug dealers were bad, the kind of people one shouldn’t approach nor trust. Perhaps, she thought, Eddie was the exception to the rule. Perhaps, the nature of his job had nothing to do with the goodness of his heart.
With that thought in mind, Virginia walked towards the cafeteria, her legs shaking. She stepped in, looking around not for her group, but the table the older boy and his friends usually occupied. She found him eating a sandwich, listening to one of his friends ramble. He had a cut on his lip and nothing else. Luckily, the screams of the students in detention had called the attention of a teacher nearby, and both boys had walked out of the fight with little more than bruises.
As if being able to read her mind, Eddie glanced around until he found her in the middle of the cafeteria. She held his eyes, caught red-handed, not knowing what to do.
“Here you are. I’ve been looking out for you the whole morning.” Chrissy appeared from behind, locking arms with Virginia, causing her to look away for a second. When she tried to find Eddie’s eyes again, she saw him laughing along with Dustin Henderson. “Let’s go, I’m starving.”
Chrissy gave her the seat between her and Stella, in front of Jason, who welcomed her with a warm smile. Andy was sitting at the end of the bench, playing with the veggies on his plate. He didn’t raise his head.
“Andy wanted to tell you something.”
Jason had said after a few seconds of silence. Virginia, who had been unpacking her lunch and knew what Jason was about to cause, shook her head in panic. Last thing she wanted was to drag the situation.
“It’s fine, I don’t wan-”
“Andy,” Jason interrupted, “go ahead.”
Andy sighed and poked a piece of carrot with the fork, yet didn’t eat it. “It was rude of me to make those comments about you.” When he finally looked at her, the huge bruise in his cheek caught her attention. Although his lips were saying sorry, there wasn’t any trace of genuine regret in his eyes. “It won’t happen again.”
With that, his attention went back to his lunch. Jason nodded, ending the conversation. To drown the incredibly awkward silence that fell over the whole table, he started to speak about the upcoming game, how the other team had nothing on Hawkins. As if nothing had ever happened. Virginia had stopped listening at that point, focused on the food in front of her.
He had apologised, but he still had the upper hand. He wouldn’t stop calling her names, just do it behind her back. Like he had always done.
Was that the price she had to pay for not wanting to have sex until finding someone special? Would she be known as the virgin of Hawkins High forever? Her whole personality and worth, eclipsed by some stupid tag.
She quickly closed the container’s lid and shoved it in her backpack. Sharing the same space with Andy was unbearable. After mumbling a low “excuse me”, she stood up and left. Her friends’ voice calling her name blended with the murmur in the cafeteria until they disappeared.
Virginia made a beeline to the bathroom and got in the first empty stall she found, sitting on the seat cover. Only then did she let the tears she had been holding fall. Her parents used to say that she had an easy-triggered crying, just like her grandfather. It had never bothered her, but it did now.
Andy’s mean words had cut her like a knife and now all her insecurities were fighting to get to the surface for a breath of fresh air. Maybe the way she reacted to being called a prude was the issue. Would it stop if she straight up called those people out? Would they pick on her as much if she dared to defend herself?
Two years ago, someone had written “Nancy the Slut Wheeler“ on the cinema's sign. Virginia never knew who had written it, just that Nancy herself had punched the idiot. And then, there was Virginia bawling her eyes out in the school’s nasty bathrooms because a boy had called her a virgin, which wasn’t even a lie.
She hated how small she felt, but hated most the fact that she knew she shouldn’t feel like that. How unfair it was! To be the one having a hard time when she had done nothing wrong.
Going back to the cafeteria after her little scene wasn’t an option, but the next class was an hour away. Virginia forced her tears to stop. That was enough crying for a day. Besides, a teacher noticing the state she was in was the last thing she wanted. She opened the door once she knew no one was inside, her reflection in the mirror greeting her. She looked awful: puffy eyes, red nose and flushed cheeks. A good splash of iced water would certainly make her feel better.
Virginia looked at herself in the mirror while drying her face, a million thoughts crashing against one another in her mind, thoughts she desperately wanted to avoid. She needed to focus on something else.
Virginia opened the bathroom door after almost twenty minutes. Outside, Eddie Munson waited patiently with his back against the wall.
“Oh, hey.” She looked at him with big eyes, too shocked to say something back. “I saw you leave.”
He noticed, Virginia thought, surprisingly happy.
“Yeah…”
“Why?” Eddie frowned. “Did he tell you something again?”
“Oh, no.” Virginia shook her head. “He kind of apologised, actually.”
“Good. Because if he does, I can always…” Eddie closed his fists and started punching the air, making Virginia laugh. “You know? I obviously had the upper hand yesterday.”
“You didn't, but that’s okay.”
Eddie put his hand on his chest, faking offence. “I totally did! If it hadn’t been for Mrs. Wright, I would have made him cry.”
Virginia pointed at his lip. “I’m sorry about that, by the way.”
“Oh, this? Tis but a scratch.” Eddie’s smile faded a little as his tone got more serious. “Are you okay, then?”
Virginia hesitated. Had it been Chrissy or Stella the ones in front of her, she would’ve said that she was okay, that it was something she would eventually forget. But it wasn’t them the ones asking, it was Eddie Munson, and for some reason, she didn’t feel the need to lie to him.
“I’d like to ask you something, but I don’t want to offend you.” Virginia leaned her shoulder against the wall, next to the boy.
“You could never offend me.” Eddie’s voice screamed reassurement.
“How do you deal with being called names all the time?” Virginia picked her words carefully. “I’ve never heard anyone calling you by your name.”
Eddie let out a puff he seemed to have held for years. “You just learn to not give a shit.”
Unsatisfied with the answer, Virginia pushed. “But how do you get to that point?”
“You know who you’re speaking to, right?” The boy smiled again, but Virginia could still notice sadness peaking through the windows that were his eyes. “People have been calling me names for ages. I’m an outcast. I’m Eddie the Freak Munson. It’s who I am. And will I be embarrassed of who I am? Hell no.”
Silence surrounded the pair. Virginia, with a steady yet nervous little voice, broke it first.
“I don’t think you’re a freak.”
Her words had taken him by surprise, judging by the way Eddie had looked at her, the corners of his lips lifting up. His “thank you” was barely a whisper.
“I’m going to go back to the cafeteria, in case you want to join me…”
Virginia wasn’t in the mood for dealing with the questioning looks splashed on the team’s faces when they saw her go through the entrance door beside Eddie Munson. And she wasn’t that hungry, anyway.
“Actually, I think I’ll be heading to class.”
“Just so that you know, and even though I may know the answer already, you’re always welcome at our table.“
Virginia was starting to blush. A big smile appeared on her face as she started to play with her hands against the fabric of her jeans.
“Thank you. I appreciate that, really.”
“And before I forget.” He reached for the pocket of his jacket and drew a cookie still in the package, which he held out for Virginia to take. “I brought you this. No one can be sad while eating chocolate.”Virginia didn’t know how to react, but it didn’t matter. Eddie had started to walk back to the cafeteria, after saying he would “see her ‘round”. She was confused, had more questions than answers, but did know one thing: Eddie Munson wasn’t the bad, sketchy person everybody thought he was.

Undead Unluck ch.223 thoughts
[Well...That Could Mean Anything...]
(Contents: immediate reactions - cancelation scare/renewed hope; speculation - story progression)
Please Say "Sike"
...I guess I should've seen that coming
If they can skip the three months leading up to the Quests, why not skip the month of the Quests?
Granted, my assumption was that the Master Rules wanted to fight and defeat the Union, that they were willing to interfere with their training but not to actually cheat at the Quests themselves, which seems to have been an accurate assumption to make
The fact that even Soul objected, demanding an explanation and even going so far as to attack Luna in retaliation, explicitly tells us that nobody involved wanted this outcome
The question this begs, though, is if Tozuka wanted this outcome
The overwhelming response to this chapter was definitely an anxious one. Folks were already super nervous because UU's been in the back of the magazine for the last few weeks while also being notably absent from a recent list of profitable manga that Shueisha put out recently, so seeing this chapter explicitly skip a bunch of content that had been built up for the last year or so was troubling to say the least
However! It also didn't take long for the fanbase to reevaluate the purpose of this direction
Hold the Line!
As Luna notes, Andy held off all ten Master Rules for eons. Of course she lost faith in them! Hell, Andy bodied Sick in less than a minute, and what few members of the Union that Language took out came back - it's pretty easy to see how the remaining fights were going to go, both from Luna's perspective and ours
And that's boring
While we all wanted to see the cast fight their natural enemies and learn more about themselves, awakening their souls and developing new ways to use their Rules, the truth is that was going to become formulaic sooner or later. Language's ambush on Nico and Ichico was a great way to keep us on our toes, but unless all of the Master Rules dropped in on the Roundtable Room at once, there wasn't really a good way to keep things fresh without it feeling like they were on a conveyer belt
There's also the fact that Ragnarok needs to be triggered by failure, so much like with the Four Seasons, the Union was either inevitably going to fail at beating one of the Master Rules or beating them was going to trigger Ragnarok anyway - both of which are outcomes to Quests that we've already seen. The Quests getting autoskipped though? That's a fun twist on the established pass option while also raising the stakes and giving both the cast and audience a scare
If UU weren't having such a rough go in the real world, we'd all be seeing this scene as a super cool twist, and I think that's what Tozuka intended it to be, but because we have reason to fear for its future, we can't help but take it as a bad sign
While Sun basically eating the Master Rules and beginning his assault on the Union certainly looks like a sign of the end, though, I think that this is meant to be the Master Rules all storming the Union at once like I suggested
Two Cakes
Many of you likely noticed that the rings that surround Sun have orbs with Roman numerals engraved on them, corresponding to the ranks of the Master Rules. This implies that the Master Rules haven't been absorbed, but rather sealed
If the Master Rules are still alive, they can still be battled, and likely will need to be defeated to weaken Sun. Using what was learned from the battle against Seal, the Union will likely use their souls to enter the orbs, giving us all of the match-ups and character development that we wanted to see while also moving at the breakneck pace that Tozuka seems to be so fond of
I imagine that someone may need to stay outside to hold off Sun while everyone's souls are separated from their bodies (if that's even an issue), so that will likely be Andy and Fuuko's job since they're ostensibly at their peak already and don't need any further development aside from the finale to their stories, though I could also see this being Chikara's big moment, holding off Sun all by himself while everyone else fights
All that said, this doesn't necessarily mean that we'll have the year and a half run that I projected last week; if Tozuka really is being forced to speedrun the story, it's possible that each Master Rule fight will only be one chapter and serve as a capstone for a different character/set of characters' arcs, but even then, it's extremely likely that the intention is to at least last until the next round of new manga, which will coincide with UU's fifth anniversary
Skipping the off weeks for Christmas and New Years, this gives us, at a conservative estimate, 16 more chapters to work with
To-Do List
Considering the number of events that still need to happen, I think 16 chapters could feasibly work if it looks a little something like this:
Establishing the formula - Chikara's capstone
Sick - capstone for Rip/Latla
Time - capstone for Shen/Mui and likely Feng
Justice - awakening of Unjustice/capstone for Julia?
War - capstone for Billy/Tatiana
Luck - likely a moment for Fuuko, though not her capstone
Change - capstone for Gina(+Sean?)
Death - likely a moment for Andy, not his capstone
Soul - group effort?
Sun - group effort, Ruin returns
Sun pt. 2 - capstone for Ruin
Sun pt. 3 - capstone for the Union
Final boss - Luna
The Heart
Luna defeated - capstone for Andy and Fuuko
Epilogue
This definitely would be a bit rushed, and I'd much rather each fight get a lot more time to breathe, but the main point I'm trying to make here is that it isn't impossible to tell a complete and satisfying story with the time remaining so long as the focus is on completing the character arcs of the cast members that have been established to be the most salient this entire time rather than trying to give everyone a slice of the pie
Tozuka's already made it clear that not every cast member is created equal, which is an unfortunate necessity in an ensemble cast that's under the constant threat of axe-ecution by Jump's editorial staff, so if things need to be pared down, this seems like a reasonable way to do it in my opinion, though again this could easily be doubled or even tripled depending on how badly Shueisha wants the series to still be producing content to coincide with the Winter special episode or possible season 2
Don't take this list at face value, though - remember, I'm just a reader, and while I've been right every now and again, I've also been wrong much more often, so my projected timeline is almost certainly off-base. I just hope it's wrong in the right direction!
Hell, my entire premise of needing to fight the Master Rules in the first place might be wrong! Not in the sense that they won't be present in the story anymore, but more in the sense that they won't be antagonists anymore
The Enemy of My Enemy
If you'll recall, the way that Andy escaped from Seal wasn't by taking down all of the Rules that Seal captured - it was by convincing them to fight back. With Luna having betrayed her creations and manipulated her counterpart, it really doesn't take much stretching of the imagination to see how the Master Rules might have a bit of a bone to pick with her
Therefore, instead of having a dedicated battle against each Master Rule, it's equally likely that there'll be a dedicated battle with each of them. This would let each of them show off their powers and personalities while also letting us build up the tension against Sun without simply rehashing the previous Ragnarok
More importantly, though, this would solidify one of the most major themes of the story: union. Every human enemy save for Ruin has become an ally, and we've had plenty of situations where UMAs have gone against God's orders and allied themselves with humanity, so having the most human UMAs do the same would be the perfect way to wrap up that narrative throughline
However, that again is still pretty predictable, almost rote with how the story has progressed so far, so I still expect one more wrinkle to come out of left field, regardless of how many chapters we have left:
The Union will lose
Failstate
The biggest question mark hanging over this entire series, at least for me, is what Sun and Luna's goals are
What is the world supposed to look like after the game ends? If Luna loses the bet and humanity can't reach the Gods, what's meant to happen? Will humanity be wiped out, will the Rules become harsher on them, what?
To truly understand the weight of the threat, of what the Union is trying to prevent, we need to be shown at least a glimpse of it, so even if Time or Soul or the Heart or whoever will immediately undo the damage, the Union needs to see what they're fighting for
Bonus points if that's the moment that reforms Ruin - that he sees how much worse everything is with humanity's loss, how ruined the world will be, and he decides then and there that he needs to ensure it remains unruined
Again, though, Tozuka has always proven to be a few steps ahead of me, so even if I have the basic ideas, the final product surely won't look much of anything like what I'm suggesting, and will surely be better than anything I can imagine
Looking Forward
In a perfect world, Tozuka would be able to take as much time as he wants to flesh out every single character and backstory and battle to his heart's content, but that's just wishful thinking. The undeniable truth is that Tozuka is working in the most cutthroat company in an already cutthroat industry, so naturally not everything can or will go to plan
However, even under those conditions, Tozuka has managed to tell a consistently engaging and beautiful story that has served as an inspiration to many of us for the past nearly five years. As I've said a thousand times now, we need to have faith that Tozuka is going to continue to do his best to deliver a story that we'll love, even if we don't agree with every choice he makes for it
He certainly doesn't want us to read each chapter filled with fear and trepidation; he wants us to read them with joy and wonder, like we always have! Whether Tozuka decided that this was the best time to end it or Jump forced it on him, whether UU will last for four more months or four more years, the single most important thing that we can do is enjoy what Tozuka has to offer. That's all he's ever wanted from us, and it's what this series has taught me to do
So come on, you do it too:
Until next time, let's enjoy life!

"He's mine by the way." The blonde says.
You look at her confused.
"I saw him first. I've been here first. Go flirt with another bar tender." She says swigging the rest of her drink. You nod at her. "Good she states."
Eddie turns back around with your drink. "There you are gorgeous." HE says placing the drink in front of you. You smile at Eddie taking a sip. "You look stunning." Eddie says leaning on the var to get to eye level with you.
"Thank you." You say smiling snd blushing. After all this time Eddie could still make you blush.
"SO Eddie was it like I was saying your hair is so nice." The blonde tries to continue to get Eddie's attention.
"HUH oh yeah." HE mumbles to her. "God I don't think you know how hot you are." HE says to you.
"She's married. See the ring on her finger. However I'm not. She's probably sick of her husband and come here to get some. Common Eddie. Come talk to me." She says ousting her hands our.
Eddie looms at her eyebrows screwed together. He picks up your hand with the ring and looks at it. "OH yeah I was there." HE says looking at the blonde.
"OH really. Well see married and I'm not common eddieee." The blonde says motioning Eddie to her.
"Funny that at her wedding I was actually the groom." HE says looking at the blonde seriously. You smirked as you watched her world come crashing down. "Here's my ring" Eddie shows her as jt sits proudly on his ring finger.
"OH and we have-" but he gets cut off by haley and luna walking into the main bar standing next to you. "Your being to wong. We want dad." Haley says luna nodding next to her.
"There your kids?" The blonde askes shy. You nod proudly smiling. "Yeah and we have one more speaking of where is ozzy?" You say and then ask your kids.
"Watching TV his lazy ass didn't wanna gwt up." Haley says calmly. You look at her mortified by the word she used and Eddie starts laughing uncontrollably. "Haley no don't say that word." You say trying to tell her off. Eddie still laughing being no help.
"What ass?" She says again. "Haley Ree munson." You say scolding. Eddie laughing harder. So hard he falls over. "OH shit." HE says as he falls behind the bar.
"Dada gone." Luna mutters. You nod.
Just then ozzy comes walking out giggling. "I saw daddy fall." HE says laughing harder. You put your head in your hands and shake your head smiling. "Eddie get your ass up." You say to your husband. He starts to get up and haley shouts.
"OH so you can say it!" And off Eddie goes laughing again.
An hour later all three of the kids have fallen asleep on the couch in the office and your sat on Eddie's desk chair spinning back ans fourth. Finally Eddie comes walking in with a smile on his face.
"When did they fall asleep?" HE askes pointing at the three sleeping kids. "Bout 20 minutes ago." You smile at him stopping spinning.
"Your awesome you know that. You have birth to them three. And an hour ago they were full of it and you've got em all to sleep. Your fucking awesome n u deserve to know it." HE says walking over to the desk. You stand up and meet Eddie in a kiss. His hands go to your waist. You hands around his upper half. Eventually you pull apart and your stood there hugging.
"How we getting em home?" HE askes whispering in your ear.
"Mmm put em all on the bed in the van? I'll drive the van you drive the car?" You ask resting your chin on his chest.
"Yeah that works." HE pulls apart and carries the kids to the van one by one. Closing the door kiss you and saying "see you at home."
Once you've arrived home Eddie carries the kids in one by one. You other to carry ozzy. But Eddie won't let you.
He's stood in haley and lunas doorway when you come upstairs. He looks over to you and smiles. You approach his side wrapping your arms around his middle. He puts his arms around your shoulders and hugs you. "Your an amazing dad." You say nuzzling your head into him.
"Yeah?" HE says smiling at you. You nod. Eddie let's you go and picks you up bridal style. "Guess I better carry you to bed huh." HE smirks walking you yo the bedroom. As soon as your in snd the doors shut you attack his lips.
He throws you on the bed undoing his belt and dropping his jeans. You pull the dress over your head leaving you in a red matching set. He stops ans stares at you. He quickly throws off his top revealing all his tattoos. Then dropping his boxers.
Eddie drops himself on top of you and rips of the bra and panties like it's the last thing he will ever do. Your lips connect. It's sloppy. But hot. Eddie slips in and out gasp he doesn't stop kissing you as he pushes himself all the way in.
"That's it sweetheart such a good fucking girl for me." HE moans and starts to thrust into you. You grip at his back trying to meet his thrusts. He buts and socks your neck. Leaving a trail of marks where he'd been. "Fuck baby I've missed you so fucking sexy."Eddie moans
Your orgasm washe over you snd you don't even realise until its happening. Feeling you tighten around him Eddie cums biting down on your shoulder so the kids didn't wake up.
"That was amazing." You say kissing his head.
"I ever told you not only am I a freak in the streets I am in the bedroom to." HE says smirking kissing where he bit. "YES Eddie numerous times how do you think our kids got here." You say playing with his hair giggling.
Eddie slowly pulls out and walks into your shared bathroom. He comes back with a hot cloth and cleans you up carefully. He slides a pair of his boxers up your legs. And his tee shirt over your head. He puts on boxers ns lays next to you. Pulling you into his chest.
"M sorry about the girl in thr bar. Trust me she's on a ban." HE whispers kissing your head.
"Babe you didn't even know she was flirting with you did you?" You look up at him grinning. He shakes his head no smirking. "All that was on my mind was coming home and seeing you. Maybe chasing ozzy around a bit where he wouldn't sleep. But I didn't give a fuck about her. Wanted to see my Mrs munson. Not some floosy in a bar." HE says kissing you.
"I love you so much Eddie munson." You say smiling at him. "I love you more y/n munson." HE kisses you sweetly but that's interrupted when you hear footsteps running around.
"Ozzy?" Eddie calls out. "Ahhh dad's up!" HE shouts followed by fatwa foot steps.
"How did I know." HE groans pulling away from you. He climbs out rhe bed and opens the door. "Ozzy Wayne munson!' Eddie shouts which is followed by more running.
You stand in the doorway of your bedroom incase either of them come back up. Your smirking to yourself.
Then haley comes walking out. "DO you pweople know da rime its sweep time." Haley says moody. Then ozzy screams. "Common baby ill get you back to bed." You say as you usher her into her room. She hops back into bed and goes back to sleep easily. You kiss her on the head. Then luna. Then leave to go find your boys. You walk down the stairs quietly and see them both on the couch.
You look over the top of the couch and see ozzy asleep cuddled up next to Eddie. "Was that a forced hug or willing?" You whisper asking Eddie.
"Bit of both. Caught him like this fell om the couch like this n he just kinda went asleep." Eddie looks up and whisper. Eddie carries ozzy back to bed and as he exits your stood with a smile on your face.
"YES my sexy wife" he askes walking over to you putting his arms around your waist.
"I love our life together." You say hugging him back.
Eddie smiles down at you kissing you passionately. "ME too baby. Me fucking too."
"N you said you don't ever wanna gwt married n have kids." You say kissing him
"That was before we got together when we got together I wanted to marry you on the spot." HE smiles at you.
"I love you Eddie."

Growing up in the projects in New York, Jonathan Luna always dreamed of going to college and making his family proud. He graduated from Fordham University and the law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He eventually settled down in Elkridge, Baltimore, where he got married and had two sons while working as an Assistant United States Attorney.
The 4th of December, 2003, started just like any other day for Jonathan. He kissed his family goodbye before departing for work. He had been working on a trial which involved two men who were suspected in running a drug ring. One of the men was also facing a murder charge. Jonathan had spent the entire evening working on the case and left a voice message to a co-worker at approximately 9PM that night, saying he was ready to go home and that he would see him the following morning.
They were going to offer the two men a plea deal and Jonathan said he was going to work on it at home throughout the night so it would be ready for the morning. According to the clocking out system in his office car park, Jonathan didn’t leave the officer until 11:38PM, leaving behind his phone and glasses, which he needed to drive.
What happened next is shrouded in speculation.
At around 1AM, Jonathan’s car entered Delaware where $200 was lifted from an ATM. He then crossed into New Jersey and on to Pennsylvania at around 4AM. His E-Z Pass was used on the I-95 into Delaware but after this, he started to purchase toll tickets. His car was then parked behind a Sensenig & Weaver in Denver, Pennsylvania. At around 5:30AM, a worker of Sensenig & Weaver arrived to discover the discarded car with blood smeared all over the door and the front of the car.
When the worker peered into the car window, he found a large puddle of blood on the back seat and back footwell. The car was partially in a creek and underneath the car, the worker discovered Jonathan’s bloody body. He had sustained 36 stab wounds with his own penknife.
The pathologist that performed the autopsy said that Jonathan's hands had been “shredded” and that his scrotum and throat had both been slashed before he drowned to death in the creek. Inside the car, detectives found that the purchased toll tickets had blood smeared on them, indicating that he was already injured when purchasing the tickets. Additionally, the puddle of blood in the back seat indicated that he hadn’t been driving the car, but somebody else.
While the death was initially ruled as a homicide, “law enforcement sources” soon began to speculate that he had taken his life and thus a smear campaign on Jonathan’s reputation was born. It was soon reported that Jonathan had most likely been involved in a robbery case in which $36,000 went missing. The Baltimore Sun implied that Jonathan was involved in the robbery and had ended his life because he feared losing his job. Everybody that knew Jonathan had nothing but pleasant words to say about him and found the allegations to be “a well timed hit job on Luna’s reputation.” The FBI ascertained that Jonathan had ended his own life but the local Lancaster counter authorities were adamant that he had been murdered.
What happened to Jonathan Luna from the moment he left his place of employment until he ended up stabbed and slashed in a murky creek still remains a mystery.
While the FBI believes he ended his own life, this leaves too many question. For one, how could he have driven approximately 95 miles without his glasses? Why did he switch from using his E-Z Pass to toll tickets? Why would he have stabbed himself 36 times as well as slashing his scrotum, throat, and hands? What would motivate him to end his life when he was known by all to be an upbeat, full of life, family man? The case still remains open with a $100,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.

PREVIEW CHAPTER TWO
The damn dress I bought just won't close. The zipper got stuck halfway and you don't know how to force it without tearing your dress. You spent a good part of your afternoon doing bridesmaid things. Your apartment doorbell rings, alerting you that you are terribly late.
"I'm coming." You speak loud enough for whoever is at the door to stop ringing the doorbell. With your dress still open in the back, you open the door, coming face to face with your boss. Kim Jongin rarely is late.
"With all due respect, don't you think it's a little aggressive to try to steal the bride's spotlight?" He says as he enters your apartment, you smile embarrassed. He has no idea how what he says affects you, which is good.
"Actually, the bride chose this dress without me. Now I'm trying to get into this shit but I can't. Do you mind helping me?" You say, turning your back, waiting for Kim Jongin to help you. He doesn't respond at all. But you feel his hand go down your back, making its way to the zipper. Finally he closes the dress for you and when you think it's done, you feel him approach your neck as if he's going to kiss you there. But actually he just smelled you.
"Your scent must be the most delicious scent I've ever smelled." He says as you turn to face him. You don't know what to say, so you ignore him and go to the bathroom to finish your makeup. He follows you there and out of the corner of your eye, you watch him.
"Are you going to behave?" You ask and almost immediately he smiles mischievously.
"If I don't behave, will you punish me?" Jongin speaks in a rude tone and you turn to look him in the eyes.
"If you don't behave, sir...I'll resign and you'll be left to fend for yourself." You say, looking seriously at him, who even seems to like your answer.
"I prefer a good old punishment. But I'll try my best today. I mean, I'm going to behave so I don't have to lose you." He says, approaching you and extending his hand for you to get up from the chair in front of the dresser.
"Do you think I'm well dressed? I feel like this dress wasn't made for me." Luna has always had a unique style and let's say fashionista when it comes to clothes, as for you...you usually wear what makes you comfortable. And that dress doesn't make you very comfortable.
"I told you. You're stealing all the attention. At least stealing all of mine attention." And he says this with zero intention of being with you. It's impressive.
"Let's go. Luna will kill us if we get there after her." You say, taking your bag and heading towards the door. Jongin comes right behind you and the two of you quickly go to the dinner location of the engagement dinner. Everything about the place was stunning. Sehun, Luna's fiance was next to her taking photos.
You're not sure what to do, it seems like all eyes in the beautiful banquet hall for the engagement dinner are on you. Everyone is watching as you and Kim Jongin enter, almost as if you were expected. Amid smiles and sideways glances, you both walk in. Suddenly, Jongin grabs your waist, leaving you confused. Until you notice the exchange of glances between Luna and Jongin, realizing that he's using you to make her jealous. Jerk.
"You know, I've always suspected there was something going on between you and Luna. But using me to make her jealous is low, even for you." You whisper in Kim Jongin's ear. From afar, no one would suspect that you're cursing him out. They might even think you're whispering something naughty in his ear.
"Y/N…" He starts to speak but is interrupted by the newlyweds who came to greet us. You had to compose yourself because you didn't want Sehun or Luna to notice that you're angry with Jongin, even though Luna is part of all this.
"I was starting to think the maid of honor wouldn't show up for the party, huh, Y/N? You know Luna can't live without you." Sehun says as he approaches to hug you and Jongin. You notice a strange exchange of glances between the groom and your boss, but you brush it off.
"In her defense, the maid of honor had to look beautiful for her best friend's special day." Kim Jongin says as he greets the bride and groom. The weirdest part is that Sehun seems tense because of your boss.
"You've got a lot of nerve showing up here after telling my fiancée you loved her in that damn call." Sehun says, almost lunging at Kim Jongin. You feel the need to find an excuse to lighten the mood of the party before things escalate into a fight.
"Listen here, buddy…" Kim Jongin begins, but you interrupt him, shifting the spotlight of this conversation onto yourself.
"What Kai means is that he mixed up his messages. He was drunk, dialed the wrong number, and ended up mistakenly declaring his feelings to Luna." You say. Perhaps this is the worst excuse you've ever given in your life.
"And how do you know that?" Luna asks, sounding genuinely surprised that you've come up with such a almost convincing excuse for Jongin's declaration.
"Her and I are engaged. We just didn't want to steal your moment." Kim Jongin says, catching everyone off guard, including you. And then he kisses your cheek, and you smile.

Hi my sweetest Luna love 🌙. I saw you put a call out for dad!Eddie ideas/requests. I’ve got one I’d like to propose.
In episode 8, Eddie says, “when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire.”
I feel like this would weigh heavily on Eddie when he becomes a dad, and he would want to be a good role model for his son. But, Eddie realizes he still doesn’t know about those hobbies so he enlists Wayne’s help. Cue the three generations of Munson men having cute bonding moments. :)
Gone Fishing: The Munson Men…
part two of my little mini series wherein you’re married to eddie, have a son named james, and now a daughter named quinn. features a whole lot of wayne as well. you don’t have to read part one to understand this one, but it’ll likely give some insight into background information. warnings: mentions of childbirth; newborn situations; worms being used as bait.
dad!eddie munson x afab!mom!reader. (4.2k words)
-
People say that the jump from one child to two isn’t that chaotic. That once you’re used to parenting, it becomes an extension of a normal routine.
Those people, Eddie decides, are also called liars.
He loves Quinn.
He loves his infant daughter more than words can even begin to express; hell, he cried in the hospital room like a baby himself when the doctor shouted, “It’s a girl!” and finally answered all the months of questioning who the little one growing inside your belly had been.
But, just as James had as a baby, Quinn quickly takes up both your time.
Nights of sleep become a thing of the past, and he’s quickly reminded of what the newborn stage, however wonderful, looks like. Routines shift and become endless midnight diaper changes to give you time to rest, turning over to tap your shoulder and wake you to swap shifts so you can feed her. As you lay her against your chest, he heads down to the kitchen and tries to clean up the messes from all the times she’s woken before that.
So it comes as no surprise the way James begins to grow a little frustrated with the whole ordeal. No longer the littlest Munson in the family, he’s taken up a habit of doing things out of line to garner Eddie’s and your attention.
The first week Quinn is earth side, he pitches a fit because she’s simply a girl (and he’d begged his mom and dad for a brother). He asks Eddie to “send her back to the stork.” Steve and Nancy reassure you both that it’s normal; however, they don’t warn or prepare you for the angry whining from your son when he asks to show either of you something in the middle of tending to his baby sister. Nor do they warn you that four year olds are inclined to have tantrums if either of you ask him to “wait just a minute” when he really doesn’t want to be patient at all.
So while Quinn cries, James cries, and then you cry (sleep is an elusive thing these days, so he never faults you for the changing tides of your wavering emotions)—and Eddie knows he needs to do something.
And soon.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine on your own?” he asks as he enters the room.
He drops down onto the bed where you’re presently sitting against a mountain of pillows with his three week old in arm. You offer him a tired smile as he leans down to kiss Quinn’s head of dark hair.
Another very Munson looking baby, if he does say so himself.
“We’ll be fine,” you promise, sighing when his forehead rests against yours, his nose running along yours affectionately. “She’ll probably sleep most of the time you’re gone anyway. Have fun. And say hi to Wayne for me. Tell him to come by soon.”
Eddie groans, sliding down onto his stomach to marvel at his newborn daughter. Ringed fingers reach out to touch her, thumb swiping down her chubby cheek. The baby stirs within her swaddle, bleary eyes sleepily searching about for her parents.
“I just hate leaving her. What if she grows up while I’m gone? Gets her first job and goes off to college? A first boyfriend that I’ll have to murder and you’ll have to be my alibi for?”
He pouts, earning a laugh out of you for his still-present dramatic flair that’s as much a part of his DNA as the love he holds in his heart for his growing family.
Eddie watches those dark eyes as they flutter open once more and take in her father’s face, lip curling upward at the way her lips part very slightly, her tiny grunts warming him from the inside out.
“Hey, Quinnie. Daddy loves you.”
“She’s going to be just fine, and she’ll still be just as cute and little as you left her. But yes, I will be your accomplice when the time comes,” you reassure him, stroking a hand down the back of his head. He leans into the comfort, sliding his hand over yours. “Go—have fun with James and Wayne. It’s his special day, after all.”
Which is true.
Being that most of your time is spent feeding a newborn around the clock and trying to work around her inconsistent sleeping schedule, you're struggling to spend all the time you want with James.
Eddie had held you in the kitchen a few nights ago after dinner, an arm curled around your shoulders to keep you close as you sniffled against his neck, worrying you weren’t a good mother. He knew it was the hormones talking, but it ripped his heart down the middle even hearing you question how wonderful you’d been to his son and him since you’d begun dating shortly after he’d graduated high school.
“You’re taking care of a newborn,” he’d said, quieting your tears with two palms against your cheeks, and the gentle brush of his lips across every possible inch of your face. “You’re a kickass mother. The best wife—hottest too. I mean, shit, baby—”
“Eds.”
You buried your face in his chest, snorting at his compliment.
“It’s true. Can’t believe I fooled you into dating me and now having kids with me.” Your balled up fist nudged against his abdomen, earning a laugh from deep within his chest. “Quinnie is so tiny now. It’ll get easier. But I have an idea; how about I take Jim Jam for a little outing? We’ll spend time with his Pop Pop and we’ll do…Munson men things.”
Which brings him back to his current situation: lifting Quinn out of your arms to press parting kiss after parting kiss to her curly head of dark hair until her little face scrunches around her binky.
Eddie hushes her back to sleep and you nearly have to pry her out of his greedy fingers to get him to hand her back over. He watches you grin widely, inhaling her new baby smell you’re both addicted to when she’s back against your chest and nuzzling her downy forehead lovingly.
Quinn Leigh Munson has stolen his heart and he doesn’t particularly care who knows it.
With his daughter back in the cradle of your arms, Eddie leans down to brush one last kiss against your lips and Quinn’s plush cheek before calling James into the bedroom.
In scampers the four-year-old a pair of shorts and a tee shirt, his too-big rain boots scrunching with every step.
“Ready to hit the road, Jim Jam?” Eddie asks, ruffling his son’s dark curls. “Say bye to Mom and Quinnie.”
With a little help from Eddie, James crawls across the bed and presses a kiss to your cheek. You giggle airily as he curls himself around your body, close as he possibly can be, just like Eddie tends to when it’s the two of you alone at night.
“Bye, Mommy.”
The words are a smush of his face against your collarbone and forehead into your neck, one hand resting on your opposite shoulder. All wriggling movements and flailing arms that jostle the baby.
Quinn stirs within your arms, little whimpering cries beckoning James to attention as you kiss him fleetingly on the top of his head.
He’s already leaning down close to her face, a pout firmly against his full lips. “Quinnie, why are you always crying? Ugh—”
“James,” Eddie warns, catching the furrowed brow on his son’s forehead. Your eyes flicker upward, amusement bubbling despite the four-year-old’s growing annoyance. “She’s a baby. You cried a lot when you were her age too.”
“Fine,” he says with a huff.
The boy presses a kiss to his sister’s wrinkly brow and clambers back off the bed. There’s a squelch of boots on the carpet before he’s thumping into Eddie’s left hip, an arm curling around his father’s thigh to hold tight.
James’ head tips back, eyes looking into his father’s. “Can we go see Pop Pop now?”
“Yeah, buddy, we can go see Pop Pop.” Eddie takes you in once more where you sit. Tired as you are, his heart clenches violently, both because you’re the most beautiful woman he’s ever met and the love of his life. You lean over to snatch Quinn’s bottle from the bedside table to start another feeding. “We’ll see you later. Love you.”
“Love you boys. Take a ton of pictures. Jim Jam, make sure to catch me a big fish.”
“I’ll catch you the biggest fish!” He jumps up and down excitedly, head bumping against the one Eddie has left to rest against his son’s curls. “Love you, Mommy.”
-
Lover’s Lake remains untouched by the world that evening.
Most are likely at work for the evening, while students, now on summer break, mill about the arcade, that popular new roller rink in town, and the ice cream shops in the shopping square.
Eddie had taken the afternoon off—had been doing so pretty often when possible at the shop to help care for the new baby—to make sure he’d be able to give James his full attention.
The little boy in question practically launches himself out of the car when Eddie unbuckles him from his car seat, glowing at the prospect of fishing with his dad and Pop Pop, a wide smile sliding across pink lips.
At Eddie’s soft utterance of “One second, buddy,” he curls his arms loosely around Eddie’s neck so his father can draw him up against hip. The door slams shut behind him to reveal Wayne standing in the distance against his car, fishing supplies resting on the ground near his feet.
James’ hand curls into Eddie’s curly hair resting against his shoulder, eyes bright as he asks, “Can I go say hi to Pop Pop?”
Eddie nods and helps him to the ground. Grins widely as the boy takes off in a burst of energy, little legs kicking under him, arms flailing at his sides before Wayne reaches down to grab him and hike him upward into his solid chest.
James’ lyrical laughter trails up the hill as Eddie makes his way over, the lunch bag that you prepared for them bouncing against his side with every footfall—another reminder of all the ways his life has changed since you walked into it nearing six years ago now.
He remembers fond moments of sitting at this very lake with the back doors of his van spread wide, you on your back, with your skin still smelling of sunblock, looking up at him like he was the only person in the world. He remembers your fingers trailing along his skin and endless cherry chapstick kisses, whispers of love like gentle caresses long after the day turned into night, and promises of forever echoing behind both your rib cages.
Now you’re married with two children, he’s just as in love if not more so now, and the lake that had been your private sanctuary away from the rest of Hawkins is the place he’ll make new memories with your son.
The same little boy, hewn together by your love.
The same little boy with your eyes, his father’s curls, joy and love in his heart, and laughter that makes Eddie wonder how he ever got so lucky.
You chose him, you still choose him every day, and what a lovely thing it was to be so wholly loved and accepted.
-
It’s funny, Eddie thinks, that he’s never really thought about what normal things fathers and sons share together. His own hadn’t been the greatest of examples, reaching him to hotwire a car without ever teaching him how to swim or ride a bike.
And he supposes that’s been his trepidation all along about raising a son. Four years in and he still doubts himself—still questions that you’ve given him not one, but two babies to guide through life. But it’s in those moments he remembers his Uncle’s care.
The way the man now outfitting his son in a too-big fishing hat and vest shows the same kindness he instilled in him when he’d arrived on his doorstep and moved to Hawkins.
His silent reverie is broken up by James’ laughter. A high peal that breaks through the silence of Lover’s Lake. Eyes drawing upward, he catches the little boy in his bright yellow boots raising a wriggling worm to eye-level, beaming from ear to ear.
“Daddy! Look—a worm!” He’s so proud of himself, peering into the bucket beside Wayne’s tackle box, reaching down to grab another and extending it to his father. “I got one for you!”
Eddie chuckles, joining his grinning Uncle’s side as he settles their tools down on the dock. “Buddy, your mom is going to kill me. There’s dirt under your nails already.”
“I’ll wash real good, don’t worry,” he says brightly, padding over to Wayne. “Pop Pop, what do we do now?”
“Well, now we hook the worm and cast our lines.”
“The worms? But they’re my friends.” James pouts, like he can’t fathom using them as bait, and before his bottom lip can start to wobble, Eddie’s dropping down to kneel in front of him.
“So…you know how Goldy back home eats those little flakes?” he asks, speaking of the goldfish Eddie had won for his son at the Fourth of July fair.
James nods, eyes watering. He sniffles. “Yeah. His gill food.”
Eddie chuckles. “Yeah, his gill food. The fish in the lake need that food too. But they need bigger food.”
“So the worms?” he asks sadly. At Eddie’s slow nod he continues, “Can I keep one?”
“Maybe,” Eddie concedes, and that’s enough to have the little boy resuming his spot at Pop Pop’s side, peering over the edge of the dock.
-
“Pop Pop?” James’ voice raises over the silence. Over the sounds of water lapping against the dock, the sounds of cicadas in the distance, the gentle chatter of birdsong.
Eddie turns to watch as his son leans into Wayne’s shoulder, gentle smile blooming along that sweet little face. Wayne cranes his neck downward, palm curling around the boy’s shoulder. “What’s it, Jim Jam?”
“What do we do now?” he asks, hands holding aloft that too-big fishing rod for his four-year-old body.
Eddie glances down at his own hands, where his own rod is resting within, turning his wedding ring round and around his finger. When his Uncle speaks once more, his head raises in piqued interest. “Well…now we wait. There’s this sayin’.”
“What’s the saying?” James asks.
“Good things come to those that wait,” Wayne says softly, brushing a thumb along James’ cheek, grinning when the little boy giggles gleefully.
“Daddy?” Eddie’s head jerks upward at the title, fondness bubbling up when his son places his fishing rod down on the dock and walks over to his father’s side. Thumps down onto the wood below to lean into Eddie’s shoulder. Eddie welcomes him. Opens his arm enough for the little one to clamber into his lap, head over his father’s heart, palm curling into his ratty old Metallica tee. “What’s Pop Pop’s saying mean?”
“Well…” Eddie glances over his son’s head to look at his Uncle. Takes in his weathered features, the upturn of his lips, that comforting smile that has the tension roiling in his gut easing. “Remember when your Mommy said Quinnie was in her belly and you were so excited.”
“Yeah!” He giggles when Eddie’s fingers slide down to tickle his ribs, his father’s arms winding tighter around his smaller form.
“Remember how it took a long long long time before Quinn came?” Eddie asks, grinning softly when James dips his head. “And remember how it was so worth it, because now our family is even bigger? Well—fishing is like that. You have to wait until a fish is ready, but when it is…it’s worth it.”
“Oh…” His son dips his head once more. Those round eyes meet his father’s once more. “Daddy, can I have juice now?”
Conversation over, he supposes. About right for James’ attention span. Eddie laughs, heart warming at the fleeting nature of a four year old mind. Reaches into the cooler sitting near his hip on the dock to pull out a juice box. His fingers work swiftly to open the plastic wrapper, slipping the straw into the top before handing it to the boy. “Always, buddy.”
–
“You’re doin’ a good job, son. I know you don’t always feel like it, but ya are. And I'm proud of ya.”
Eddie doesn’t expect those words. Doesn’t know what to do with them really. For years his own father regarded him as little. Never cared for his hobbies, likes, interests. Barely paid attention to him most days. And then he’d up and left. Packed up his stuff and walked away from his wife, his son, the life he once knew. Made Eddie wonder if love was this abstract thing. Made him wonder if he deserved it at all.
Then, his mother had passed and he’d been sent to live with Wayne in this home that didn’t really feel like home. He’d taken him under his wing and loved him as best as he could. Showed him patience and love when Eddie had only known dismissiveness and passivity.
And then he’d met you. You with your bright smiles and that endless well of affection. He’d shied away from it at first. Pretended it meant nothing; tucked you away in his mind and pursued you under the guise of friendship. But you’d coaxed him out of the shadows into the light, tended to him and waited as he opened his heart to you, just as Wayne had, and made him question if he’d been wrong all along.
Maybe love wasn’t this abstract thing. Maybe it was something all were entitled to. Something all were deserving of. And that love had grown, had grown into two little souls that shared his heart. Two little souls made up of half his DNA. Two souls who looked to him for guidance, for affection, for a firm foundation to stand on.
He didn’t want to mess it up for his own kids. Wanted them to know every day how much he loved them, how he’d do anything for them, how he’d love his family in the way he’d never known growing up.
“You’re goin’ a good job,” Wayne reiterates, curling a palm around his nephew’s shoulder.
Draws him back to his present reality. In the distance, James talks to his new worm friends still wriggling around in the bucket Wayne had brought along. Promises he’ll take them home and his mom will take care of them. Eddie has yet to remind his son that he and his worm friends will have to part at the end of the day. Instead, he turns to his uncle and smiles, chest blooming with something foreign. An emotion that wells behind his eyes—fills his throat with a tightness he can’t seem to swallow around.
He clears his throat, brushing at his eyes. “I’m trying.”
“That boy loves you, son,” Wayne says, glancing out toward where James is now holding aloft one of his new friends. His head of curly dark hair tips to the side, mouth moving rapidly, likely telling a story like his own father does for him every night before bed. “Hell, I think half of parentin’ is figurin’ things out on the way. I mean, I didn’t know what I was doin’ with you and now here you are. A fine mechanic and a manager at the shop at that, a husband, and a damn good father. To not one, but two babies now. Your Momma would be so happy if she could see you now.”
Eddie glances back over to his son with tears swimming in his eyes. Watches that head of curly hair turn his way. The way his son’s lips curl upward at the sight of him, like he can’t contain the happiness of merely seeing his own father. And Eddie smiles back. Waves as his heart clenches within his chest. Because inside that little boy beats part of his own heart, and anyone can see from looking at James that he’s thriving.
That he’s happy and loved.
And Eddie knows, without a doubt, that he’s doing a damn good job.
-
You’re in the kitchen when Eddie returns. Little Quinn is resting in a sling against your chest as you work to put away newly cleaned dishes while a pot of noodles cook on the stovetop.
Eddie’s shouting he’s home as James rushes into the house, cooler thumping against his shorter thighs. Nearly smacks into your legs just as you hoist him up onto your free hip, somehow managing to not wake the baby in the process.
“Mommy, I caught the biggest fish!” He announces proudly, snuggling his face into the crook of your neck. “And when Quinnie is big enough, I’m gonna teach her how to catch one too!”
He swoops down to kiss his baby sister. Tells her he loves her against the soft curls at her forehead.
Eddie laughs brightly, sauntering into the kitchen to lean against the counter nearest you, pressing a kiss to the corner of your mouth. Drops down lower to kiss Quinn’s head of dark hair. She stirs in the wrap, little noises of contentment filling the air, before she settles back down in her sleep.
“Did you, Jim Jam?” You ask him, eyes wide in your curiosity.
“Yes! And daddy helped. He had to fight the fish. But he won!”
Your eyes dart to Eddie’s, bouncing James higher up onto your hip. “Is that so?”
Eddie’s fingers card through James’ hair, lips pressing against his son’s temple. “I helped him reel it in.”
Your mouth drops open in overly dramatized shock, and James’ eyes light up before the both of you. Eddie swears right then and there he wants another baby (but he’ll ask you later, when Quinn’s not attached to you for feedings every two hours).
“Well…can I see this monstrous fish that the two of you had to fight to bring home?”
And there, in the little cooler, resides the smallest fish you’ve likely ever seen.
But damn, if Eddie’s not happier than he’s ever been in his life.
That feeling bleeds over into the evening. He rides that lovely peak until James and Quinn are finally put to bed, the house silent at last, save for the sound of your quiet breathing beside him in your bed.
“I love you, you know?” He says softly, brushing his hand over the curve of your waist.
Your hips shift backward against his, and he curls his other arm tighter around your form. Draws you nearer. “I love you, too. I’m happy you all had fun today.”
“Can you look at me for a second?” His voice is quiet. Shaky. You roll over at the broken timbre of his voice, hands coming up to thumb along both of his cheeks. At the brush of your lips against his, he continues, “Thank you.”
“For what, honey?”
He drops his forehead into yours. Inhales shakily. “I don’t know. Loving me. Giving me this family. I don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but I’m grateful you picked me to do it with.”
“Eddie…” You wrap your arms tight around him. Hold his head against your chest where he focuses on the calming beat of your heart inside. “You’re a wonderful husband, an amazing son, and an incredible father. I love you, I love you, I love you.”
You punctuate each word with a kiss against his crown, fingers brushing through the curls at the nape of his neck.
“We are so lucky to have you.”
And he smiles. Truly and honestly smiles against your chest, palms splaying over your hips, holding you close.
Because maybe he’s not perfect. Maybe neither of you are. You’re learning together what it means to parent as you navigate this new and unfamiliar territory—as both your babies grow and change and learn. But you’re doing it together and will be forever.
It brings him peace.
And later, when Quinn wakes with a shrill cry, and Eddie pulls her writhing body against his chest to try and soothe her with kisses to her brow, he recalls a conversation he had with Wayne earlier that evening.
“I just have one question?”
“Yeah?”
“What do I do with my daughter when she grows up? She’s so little now. But shit—a girl?”
There’s a pause. “How’s your aim?”
“What’s wrong?” You ask, stirring from where you lay in bed, still tired from Quinn’s earlier feeding.
“Go back to sleep. I've got her.” Eddie draws her into the crook of his elbow, resting her against his chest. She wrinkles her features in another weaker cry, fists shaking in her anger as he rocks her gently. Soon enough the wailing subsides. Those tired eyes of her open to briefly take in her father’s face before shutting once more, mouth working over the bottle he slips into her parted lips, sighing happily into his skin. “Isn’t that right, Quinnie? Daddy’s always got you.”

hii, can you write Mick Jagger x famous fashion designer!female reader in which he irritates and begs her to design and sew Bianca's wedding dress until she accepts but then they often have sex and make out during "creative discussions" and when the dress is finally ready they kind of end up getting married instead? with THE dress.
Is it considered steal the groom if the groom himself takes the initiative to exchange the bride? lol this is kind of fucked up and I'm going to feel bad for Bianca but I think it's something Mick would definitely have the nerve to do. I honestly think it would be one of Rock's most tragicomic and iconic stories if it had happened.
I hope you see the appeal as I did, but feel free to ignore it if that's not your cup of tea. LOVE <3

A Saturday night in Chelsea
The boutique was adorned with fabrics that were shades and tones of purple, pink and white. Delicate mannequins were draped in her coquettish designs, and a scent of perfume filled the space.
It was a haven she had beautifully thought up for herself, and the thought had managed to garner her acclaimed and revered attention.
This shop in Chelsea was particularly popular, but now there was a quiet stillness of the Saturday evening, and it was a welcome change from the bustle of London during the daytime.
The clock struck 9 PM when Y/N entered the boutique, her sketchbook clutched in hand.
Her footsteps echoed through the front room and into the retail area before she entered her beloved office.
She shed her coat and placed her sketchbook down. She was about to settle into her desk chair with a few of her textiles in hand when she heard it ring.
"Oh, Christ."
She threw down her silks and needles onto the nearby couch. The telephone had begun ringing, and she knew it was going to continue incessantly. She also knew it was going to do her head in.
She toyed with the idea of ignoring it, or perhaps letting it ring a little longer. Maybe he'd give up. But it persisted, each chime a reminder of his stupid determination. The reason why she lingered to pick up, was because she knew exactly who was calling, and why he was calling.
Although his want was clear the first time they very briefly spoke on the phone, he wanted more than that, and that loosely intrigued her.
Mick had strategically been ringing every Saturday when he could. It was a way to let her know he wasn't going to let her get away easily, not without having some part of her. She sighed into her seat and focused on her book, flicking through concepts and sketches.
"Fucking hell, it's like clockwork for him."
Her patience had quickly worn thin and she leaned forward, her fingers navigated the rotary dial. The ringing had finally ceased, replaced by a muffled dialogue.
The phone's receiver, cool against her palm, spoke to her.
"Evening darling."
"Hello."
"Ah, Y/N, always a pleasure to hear your voice."
She was taken aback, yet swiftly regained her composure and brushed off his subtle flirt.
"What is it that you want, Mr Jagger?"
Mick's voice was ribbon and it flowed into one ear and right out of the other.
"Well, I was hoping for a chat with the most sought-after woman in London."
She couldn't suppress a scoff.
"Yes, yes, yes, of course, but what is it that you want?" She pressed dismissively.
"I want the pleasure of your company."
Y/N's brow quirked, feeling an incredulity.
"Company? Mr Jagger, we haven't even agreed to a meeting."
Mick was unfazed and pushed on.
"Well, Bianca adores your work, you know. She'd be over the moon to have you design for her."
She tutted, "Oh, how touching. I'm sure she would."
"You really should give her the wedding dress she deserves, Y/N. I promise you won't regret it."
Y/N's breath hitched, caught off guard by the sweet audacity of his words. He was, after all, soon to be wedded.
"I'm sure Bianca would be thrilled to hear you're so invested in her gown."
Mick chuckled.
"Well, she deserves nothing but the best, and you, you are the best."
"Do you have a penchant for dresses, Mick?" She teased.
His response was swift and sincere.
"I have a penchant for the woman making the dresses."
She giggled, unable to stifle the sound. His persistence was both exasperating and endearing.
Mick was still adamant.
"You're the perfect designer for this, Y/N. Please, just give me- us a chance."
"Mhm."
Mick had to find more fuel, any excuse or plea to see her.
"She's genuinely taken with your talent, Y/N. You're the only one she trusts for this."
Her resolve wavered, swayed by his flattery. With a soft sigh, she relented.
"Fine, fine. We'll meet."
He wasted no time in setting a date. "Yes, next Friday evening, preferably when we have the place to ourselves?"
"Ooh, just us, then?" She teased.
"I'd like that." He answered without hesitation.
She raised an eyebrow.
Mick's confidence remained unshaken.
"Regardless, love, I'll be waiting eagerly for our meeting, next Friday.
"Fine, next Friday it is."
She scrawled the date on a notepad, it was a flimsy agreement.
"I can't wait to see you, Y/N."
See he said. Why not meet? This was only business after all.
"Likewise, Mick, likewise."
"Y/N, you're a gem, you know that?"
"Oh, don't let this get to your head, Jagger. It's just a design."
"Just a design? This is Bianca's dream we're talking about!"
"Well, I wouldn't ever dream of standing in the way of your wedding would I?"
"And I wouldn't dream of keeping you waiting."
He had said that suggestively, although she didn't want to see it that way.
"Good. I have a reputation to uphold, after all, you know."
"And what a reputation it is."
She smiled and decided to cut his unwavering flattery short, "Goodbye, Mick."
"Goodbye, Y/N."
When Mick heard the click of the phone, it was a call back to reality, and that reality was enticing.
*
The Friday
The door chimed and Y/N was standing poised near the entrance for him. Mick wasn't alone. He had brought a photographer with him by the looks of it, and he seemed eager to capture every moment of this collaboration.
There was an attraction between them as they stood close.
He immediately extended his hand, the gesture was as smooth and as handsome as the man himself.
Mick's eyes traced the contours of her form. He wasn't one for simple impressions and wanted her to know he was intrigued.
"Mick." She greeted simply.
"Y/N, it's a pleasure."
He pulled her hand to his lips, pressing a delicate kiss to her knuckles.
She cleared her throat, regaining her composure.
"Likewise. How have you been?"
"Nervous, very nervous, but I have faith in your talents, love."
"As you should." She said snarkily.
"You look even better in person, if that's possible."
"Oh. Thank you."
The unexpected compliment hung in the air, and a charged pause settled between them.
Her eyes flitted to her watch, cautious of time, even though they had lots of it.
"Well, Mick, you know it's bad luck for the groom to get too close to the dress before the wedding. You might have to stay away from me." She joked.
He smiled, and with that, Y/N turned, beckoning him to follow her to an office.
She couldn't shake the feeling of Mick's eyes being all over her.
When the door closed, the air seemed to shift. They were in a smaller more intimate space.
Mick settled into a plush chair, and his thoughts were consumed by the captivating designer who had finally walked into his life. She'd been in many other lives, whether through a purchase or a fling, but he was glad it was his turn now.
She cast a glance back at him as she ruffled through, "Make yourself comfortable, Mick."
Y/N bent over her desk as she rifled through the drawers. Mick watched her with an almost fascination. To him, she was a marvel, an artist in her element. Each motion seemed to carry a kind of ethereal grace that held him in attention.
With everything she needed gathered in her arms, she approached him and sat on the arm of the chair.
Y/N reached for a glass of wine, preparing for the storm that was going to be this wedding.
"So, what's on your mind, then?" She asked casually, taking a slow sip.
His eyes wandered over the sketches but he didn't seem to be all that interested, he seemed bored.
"This silhouette here." He pointed to a sketch of something puffy, and she thought that it didn't suit Bianca's figure. She also thought it seemed inappropriate to be chatting about the bride's dress with the groom, but whatever.
"How about this one, here instead?" Y/N flicked to a page of things more form-fitting and flat.
Mick's eyes looked to a particular design on the page, another choice that seemed miles away from Bianca's taste. "This one," he mused, his finger tapping the paper. "It's got a flair, a vibrancy. What do you think?"
She sighed and looked down at him, he had a stupid smile on his face, he'd had it since he had walked in.
"I think you're very distracted, Mick."
He let out a hearty laugh and swiftly took her cup of wine.
"What do you mean, darling?" he quipped, trying to sound innocent, though the cheekiness in his tone betrayed him.
With a sigh, Y/N stood up and carefully arranged everything on her rug.
She slipped off her shoes to get comfortable on the floor and undid the top button of her blouse.
"Come here, Mick." She gestured for Mick to join her, her voice was warm and inviting to him.
She looked sultry sitting on her rug, and he wondered if she was making an innuendo for them to shag on the floor or something.
Everything was spread out before them. Y/N's patience wore thin and she implored for the final time, "Are you going to be serious this time?"
"Hm..." He said childishly.
"No, Mick," she insisted, her voice firm. "Answer the question. Are you going to be serious this time?"
He relented, only because he liked her demand.
"Alright, I'll be serious," he declared, his arm moving to encircle her waist.
She removed his arm and shifted, settling on her knees.
Mick shifted his position to mirror hers. He sat on his knees, somewhat determined to focus.
"Thank you, Mick. Now, a pattern, any pattern you can think of."
"Something floral, understated but not dull, you know?"
She nodded resolutely and wrote notes whilst drawing little concepts beside them. Mick was watching in awe, she couldn't place why, this was the most boring part of it.
"I haven't stopped thinking about you since I got engaged. I'm enamoured with your work, you know." He confessed.
Why did he have to say since he got engaged, it sounded like he was expressing his love for her over Bianca, and she dreaded that thought.
"What do you mean?" She asked, timid.
"You're my favourite designer, Y/N. There's no one better."
She tutted and shook her head, "Oh, come now. I'm sure there are better."
"Nah, I'm convinced you're a creative genius." Mick giggled.
"And I'm convinced you have a way with words." She deadpanned.
"Trust me, Y/N. You're my favourite."
"Right. Well, let's discuss the dress. What colour are you envisioning?"
She changed the subject, fearing that what she thought Mick was thinking would materialise.
"How about orange?"
"Orange?"
"Yeah, why not?" He said sarcastically.
"Stop it now."
"Alright, alright, obviously white."
"Obviously, but what shade of white?"
"Dunno, suppose you'll have to surprise her."
"Okay." She groaned and rightfully decided she wasn't going to ask Mick for anything, ever.
She leaned over him to grab something, and his arm once again found its way around her waist, an intimate hold, like he was trying to show affection. It was a move that was becoming all too familiar, and she didn't like that.
"Come on, Mick," Y/N sighed, frustration evident in her voice. "What are you doing?"
Mick didn't want to beat around the bush, not with her.
"This is getting a bit dull, don't you think, love?" he suggested.
Y/N's brow furrowed in disbelief, struggling to keep up with the sudden turn of events. "What's gotten into you?"
"You haven't caught on yet?" he teased.
She mustered a shaky breath, "I did, but I was hoping you'd spare us both the bloody trouble."
"I haven't even scratched the surface, love."
His arm was still around her waist, so he pulled her closer until they were nose-to-nose.
He closed the distance between them, his lips meeting hers in a hard kiss.
Y/N moved back abruptly, her disgust palpable. "You've lost your mind, Mick. You're engaged, and I'm designing her dress. This is sick- you are sick."
He shrugged.
"Well, she's not the one, love. Not by a long shot."
"Then who is?"
Before she could process the weight of her own question, Mick kissed her. He started it soft. There was a gentle brush of lips, a mingling of breath. His arms circled her waist and as the kiss deepened, so did the intensity. Their tongues swirled together, tasting the wine they shared. The world outside seemed to blur, leaving only the spontaneous connection between them.
Y/N's hand remained on Mick's chest, her fingers curling against the fabric, her voice barely above a mumble as she uttered his name. Still, he didn't stop. Instead, he kissed her deeper, his hand moving to grab her bottom.
They both pulled away at the same time, their breaths mingling in the charged air. Mick's eyes held a mixture of desire and uncertainty as he looked at her.
He cleared his throat, "Should we stay here on the floor, or find a more comfortable spot?"
Mick was very confident, so confident he didn't bother to use perception, though he didn't need to in this circumstance.
"A couch sounds nice," she replied, mischief in her eyes.
They untangled themselves, their movements carried a sensuous grace. Making their way to the nearby couch on the other side of the room, the atmosphere seemed to thicken, the unspoken promise of what awaited them palpable in the air.
He took her by surprise, his hands pushed her forwards over the arm of the couch so she could be bent over for him.
Mick pulled her closer, his hands moving down her body as he unzipped the back of her skirt and eased it off her hips. He sighed with as the fabric rustled around her ankles. He tugged on the waistband of her tights and dragged them to the floor.
"Do you feel me, hm?"
He pressed himself into her and it was teasing both of them.
She looked back at him, "I feel you.."
The sound of leather on metal clinked in her ears as he pulled the belt from its loops. His trousers were made into a pile around his ankles, leaving him with his boxers.
Mick held her hips and pressed himself against her, she could feel the warmth of his cock through the thin fabric of his underwear.
His hands found her panties, he pulled them to one side and he thrust harder, pushing his erection against her bare cunt.
"Mm, Mick."
He thrust two fingers into her eagerly, enjoying the sensation of her cunt clenching around them. She giggled at the sudden intrusion, and he pushed his fingers in and out of her faster, eager for more. He moved his fingers more vigorously as she became wetter.
He removed his fingers, and pulled off his boxers. His cock bounced free; he couldn't wait any longer to be inside of her. He stroked himself twice, savoring the feeling. The head of his hardness was tapped against her entrance, then slid inside of her, inch by inch. He lightly stretched her open, allowing himself to fully enter. He groaned when he filled her up completely, and only slowly moved in and out.
He went from the tip of cock to the middle of his cock. She was so wet for him. He went balls deep a few times, light taps filled the room with each time he did so.
Her back arched as his dick slid in and out of her, the fuck was swift.
He drove into her with an intense passion. She looked back at him with wide eyes, a mix of pleasure and desperation.
Mick's thrusts were deep and unyielding, directly hitting her g-spot with every movement. Her walls clenched involuntarily as the sensation grew, seeming to never end.
Mick was getting close so he fucked into her harder. Her body slid back and forth beneath him, her stomach moving against the arm. She moved her hips back, urging him on.
"Fuck." He groaned.
He was getting close so he fucked into her harder. Her body slid back and forth beneath him, her stomach moving before the arm. The sensation of her warm skin made him shudder.
He pulled out just in time, his penis coated in sticky white fluid. She got up promptly to kiss him, excited.
Her lips clasped against his and for a moment it was as if no time had passed between them, but then she broke the seal of her mouth and trailed kisses down his chin and neck to his shoulder blade
They were giddy from their illicit activity, like teenagers sneaking away to do each other right under their parents' noses.
Well, it was under someone's nose.

another goddess! This time the goddess of the hunt/moon and Apollo's twin sister enters the ring!
Artemis is one of the participants of Ragnarok and her fight is against Julie d'aubigny, she fights on the side of the gods.
Artemis is a though and brave goddess, who takes no offense in her name and who for the other gods is a distant and insensitive woman who hates men.
However, Artemis is a more compassionate goddess than she is given credit for (shown with her myth with Hippolith and the version where she spares Iphigenia's life and makes her her priestess) and that her character has been forged through a hard life and the loss of several friends.
Artemis had a best friend, a giant named Orion with whom she had a very deep connection (they both saw each other as friends, nothing more, there is no ship), however Apollo misinterpreted Orion's intentions towards his sister (probably because Orion was not someone very attractive) and ended up tricking Artemis into shooting him an arrow and killing him (first he tried to poison him with a scorpion but failed).
The loss of her best friend and the betrayal of her brother made Artemis cut off all communication with him, even though Apollo tried to apologize to her, Artemis knows that he only apologizes for the reaction she had and not because he truly regrets having taken orion away just because he thought his intentions were different.
Artemis stayed with Orion's hunting dogs and takes care of them with her life, she also turned the remains of Orion's soul into a constellation (she usually sees the constellation when she feels especially lost or sad).

¡otra diosa!

Slytherin!Nicholas Headcannons (the 80s)
A/N : I made this based on my version of headcanon, so sorry if my headcannon doesn't suit readers
• He was born into a Pureblood family but of mixed ethnicity. His mother was a native British citizen who studied at Hogwarts, while his father was from a line of Chinese wizards who settled in Taiwan. His father was an alumnus of Mahoutokoro, because it was the only magic school in Asia.
• He has three sisters, namely the oldest and twins. Her older sister is Wang Xinya, and her twin sisters are Wang Liuxian and Wang Luoyang. Xinya has an English name called Ivy Wang. Meanwhile, Liuxian and Luoyang have English names called Layla and Laura.
• Nicholas chose to attend Hogwarts after his father and mother actually moved to England when he was four years old. His three sisters also preferred to study at Hogwarts compared to Mahoutokoro.
• Obsessed with Dark Arts, but he doesn't use it for anything evil.
• Good at playing Quidditch since he was little, and during his second year at Hogwarts, he joined the Slytherin Quidditch Team. He has the position of beater.
• Enter Draco Malfoy's circle which is filled with arrogant, conceited children who have strong blood supremacy.
• He hates lazy people.
• His ideal type is a girl with blonde/light brown hair, tall, Slytherin (more inclined), from the upper class (First option), quiet, smart, doesn't act annoying/pickme.
• Nicholas would often join in mocking the Golden Trio along with Draco Malfoy's circle of friends and always pointed out that Slytherin was above all else.
• Very flirtatious and often flirts with girls who are obsessed with him. And usually he wouldn't be serious with those girls.
• Once punched Ron Weasley because Ron said something bad to him.
• Likes reading books and has always been the favorite student of the defense against dark arts teacher because of his expertise in dark magic.
• His dream when he graduates is to work in the ministry in the defense sector.
• Also has songwriting skills because he often creates beautiful poetic words.
• He lives in a luxurious manor with a strong Chinese architectural style in a hidden area of London.
• Falling hard in love with Luna Lovegood, Nicholas likes her gentle and affectionate personality. Nicholas didn't want to admit it, but from the way he really didn't just like, but loved Luna. He doesn't hesitate to hit anyone who speaks badly about his Luna.
• Has the best fashion sense among the Hogwarts students.
• Once wanted to participate in the Triwizard tournament but his mother and father immediately strongly opposed it.
• He is the type of child who is obedient and always listens to what his parents say as long as it is for the good.
• Light addict Fire whiskey.
• Likes to party and often proposes a party every month for the Slytherins.
• He smokes, but is not an addict. He only smokes one or two cigarettes and that's not every day.
• Has good relations with several Ravenclaws and also Hufflepuffs. Moreover, his oldest sister and crush was a Ravenclaw.
• Has several tattoos on his body.
• The type who gets angry easily and always just punches students who irritate him. Because of this, he often got into fights with Gryffindors or even his housemates who weren't 'in line' with him.
• He often wears cross earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings on almost every finger. He even once wore a necklace that had a moon pendant on it, because it reminded her of Luna (🤭).
• Has the smell of Baccarat perfume.
• Rarely cuts his hair, because he likes long hair.
• Very manipulative and cunning when playing Quidditch, and his tactics always result in victory. He really is a true Slytherin.
Is anyone adding another Slytherin!Nicholas headcannon here?
