But his brothers or anyone else weren’t aware of that, and it only made them more leery of him. To have such a bright aura surrounding him was something everyone should be fearing- especially when he was making such simple mistakes. Signing paperwork in the wrong spot, knocking over his coffee, even finding himself being pranked by the Anti-Lucifer League.

Satan couldn’t even find it in himself to laugh or gloat in Lucifer’s mishaps because of how he wasn’t even affected by them. It left him and Belphie baffled when he just shook it off and continue smiling as if nothing happened.

While Lucifer was somewhat aware of people actively avoiding him, he welcomed it, and hoped that it continued for the rest of the day and throughout the night.

Because it meant that you could continue your session from this morning uninterrupted- and he wants to return the favor as soon as he could.

He wants you to know just how much you’re loved by him, and how much he keeps falling for you even more as each day passes.

You know how the brothers ask Diavolo if MC can marry into the family at the end of Season 3, but are shot down because of politics?

Imagine if, during the brother's vacation in the human world MC has been acting a little secretive towards Lucifer. When he confronts them about it, they admit they are plotting something, but refuse to say what it is and he assumes it's more mischief with the Anti-Lucifer League.

After Diavolo says he can't allow a demon to marry a human at that point in time, Lucifer catches MC looking forlorn and messing with a small cube. They brush off his concern, saying they are going to miss the brothers when they go back to the Devildom and shove the object in their pocket.

While kissing him goodbye, MC slips something into Lucifer's hand, saying to wear it to remember them when they are apart.

Back in the Devildom, Lucifer inspects the gift and realizes that the simple, elegant ring would have made an excellent wedding band if, say, MC had been planning to propose to him.

It took a lot for Lucifer to be left speechless.

He was someone that always had a grip on things. It’s been on rare occasions that he’s been caught off guard- which only began to happen more ever since you made your debut in the Devildom. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he held the velvet box between his fingers- you’ve caused him many headaches that could last throughout a lifetime, but also made it to where it’s impossible for him to imagine life without you.

Which is why he was even crushed at Lord Diavolo’s words.

He understood why completely, but he still couldn’t help but be disappointed. While yes, he already planned on having you in his life for eternity regardless of the idea of marriage, having a ceremony would’ve been lovely. Seeing you walk down the aisle glowing with your usual bright smile, placing the beautiful ring on your finger as he promised his eternal love to you-

He sighed, a hopeless smile slipping on his face- even a demon like him could dream. Which is why he found himself toying with the small cube this late at night. You told him to wear it whenever he began to miss you- and it was comical how quick he grabbed it after returning home. It’s only been a few hours, but his heart is yearning for you like always.

He finally opened the box, crimson eyes peering at the shining ring. It was simple but elegant- not over the top but enough for his pride to shine through knowing that you were his and he was yours.

It would have been perfect for a proposal-

Lucifer’s breath gets caught in his throat, eyes wide. Before he could stop himself, he let out a hearty laugh, bouncing off the walls of his room. He couldn’t believe this- he couldn’t believe you.

He carefully took it out the box and slipped it on his finger- it was a perfect fit.

He should have known that nothing would have gotten in your way- once you were set your mind on something, it was nearly impossible to change it. It was one of the many traits that he admired about you, even if it gave him more to stress about.

Lucifer couldn’t stop smiling no matter how hard he tried. It’s been rare moments that he felt this much joy- until you came into his life that is.

He already pulled out his phone, searching for the best ring shops in the Devildom, making plans to stop by them first thing in the morning.

He was already imagining which jewels would look best adorning your finger when he slides the ring on you himself.
