Haikyuu x F!Reader Headcannons ! ♡

Tobio Kageyama

I headcannon that before you he's like barely ever even looked at a girl nevermind dated one so he's very inexperienced with everything !

He would be super shy to kiss or anything so everytime you would try and kiss him he'd swerve away and just stare into the distance in shame of himself.

Soon he got the hang of it and now you can't get him to stop kissing you. Before practice? He needs a kiss to prepare. After practice? Needs a kiss to unwind. Lunch? How is he supposed to focus without a kiss? He just doesn't stop!! (but it's okay because he's cute ♡)

When you guys have been together for a while he loves to just lay down in bed with you all snuggled up and whine about his day whether it's him whining about Hinata's shitty receives or how much he missed you whilst you stroke his hair and rub your hand soothingly across his back.

He always tries getting you involved in volleyball so he'll randomly just come up to you with a ball in hand ready to practice with you despite your constant reminders that you barely know the basics nevermind his level of playing. (He doesn't go easy on you though and will tell you if you were shit. But will come back to practice with you again either way ♡)

I imagine he doesn't tend to use a lot of petnames mainly because he's worried he'll call you it infront of his teammates and they'll never let it go but when you're alone together he'll slip out a "baby" and "angel" here and there and it never fails to leave butterflies in your stomach.

Kei Tsukishima

Same as Kageyama I don't think he's very experienced with relationships but he's read a few romance books here and there and has some natural charm that helps him get by.

He's not a fan of PDA at all and thinks it's just embarassing but sometimes he'll connect your hands together and place them in his coat pocket or he'll connect your pinkies together when walking home. And the only kisses you'll get out in public is a quick peck to the forehead if he's scoped out the area to be sure no one he knows is there.

He LOVES to rest his head against you whether it's your back, chest or neck he really doesn't care he'll just plonk his head down and snuggle into you. He loves the feeling of having you against him like that, it calms him down.

Whenever you're gonna meet up to hang out, sleepover or just school he'll bring your favourite drink or snack and just shove it at you and not say a word (you know better than to say anything either ♡)

He really cherishes the moments where you two just lay down in his bed all cuddled up, you resting against his chest and his hand in your hair just enjoying the feeling of eachother and the comfortable silence you can only get when together.

Whenever you steal his glasses and put them on yourself he may act annoyed but deep down he loves it so much (And in those moments he really curses his bad vision because he literally cannot see you but can sense that you look adorable)

I don't see him as the type of guy who's big on petnames. If anything, he thinks they're stupid. Butttt, If you're shorter than him he'll call you petnames like "Shorty" and "Pipsqueak" and if you're a big fan of petnames he'll let a few "love" and "darling" slip by just for you ♡

Tadashi Yamaguchi

My passenger princess oh how much I love him

I imagine he's a very big fan of Romantic movies so he knows how to flirt a little but he doesn't actually have any experience with dating, maybe he had a wedding on his schools playground when he was like 6 if that counts!

He obviously overthinks here and there so whenever he needs to ground himself you'll just feel his hand on your lower back, pinching the tip of your sleeve or in your hair.

He's not against PDA but he's also not for it. Like he's not afraid of a few pecks here and there and a hand around your waist but he won't be the type of guy to wear a shirt with your face on it, that's far too embarassing for him.

He hates it when people underestimate him for things which makes him work himself harder to prove his worth. This causes him to burn himself out quickly but no matter how much you yell at him he won't change cause at the end of the day you always hold him and rub circles into his back whilst playing his favourite show.

He loves to call you petnames, but only in private. He loves to call you his "angel" and "honey" mostly but calls you "baby" from time to time. If you two are joking around he'll say really stupid names like "my boo boo bear" or "my pookie schnookie" with a stupid dopey grin on his face ♡

He's happy to play whatever you want whenever. Especially roblox! He loves to play 2 player tycoons and 2 player obbies with you the most but also plays Dress to Impress and Flicker with you.

Your first kiss together was embarassing to say the least. When kissing he accidently bumped your head really hard with his own, leaving a bump. He would not stop apologising for the next week until the bump on your head finally went down. (To this day he cringes when thinking about it but can't help but smile)

An Exchange of Wretched Words

Summary : First years reaction after a fight with sensitive!reader.

Kei Tsukishima -

He knew it was coming. He should have just bit his tounge and let you rant but when has he ever been able to do that? Instead, he yelled back. Yelled horrible, disgusting words at you just to get a reaction. Just to inflict the same pain he felt to you. The guilt bubbled in his stomach, bile rising through his throat at the thought of all he said to you, his reactiveness towards you. He had never laid a hand you, he wouldn't dare. But he knows how his words hurt. Sitting on the sofa, he could hear your sobs hidden and muffled beneath your shared pillows. The image of you curled into a ball on the soft sheets making him far more angry at himself. He wanted to run to you, hold you in his arms and whisper sweet words to you in hope of erasing all the damage he's caused. But the fear inside him, the fear of vulnerability and consequences he's yet to overcome, stops him from moving. He'll knock on the door eventually, letting himself in and sitting beside you with a gentle hand on your hair, caressing it lovingly as he apologises over and over. Until then, he'll sit here and wallow, your cries the only sound in the room.

"Shh I know, I know.."

"Angel I..didn't want this, I didn't mean to say those things to you"

Tobio Kageyama

He hadn't realised the effect his words had on you in the moment, his rage blinding him to your pain. As your eyes widened and tears began to cover you're cheeks, only then had he realised. You storm off in both fury and sadness whilst he watches, heart heavy with regret and despair as he watches you slam the door. He hadn't meant to hurt you, he would never do that purposefully. Especially not to you, someone so dear to his heart. After thinking everything over once more, the disgust at himself showing on his face as he recalls his actions. His pointed fingers, his intimidating stature and degrading words. He walks towards your shared rooms and knocks gently on the rough wood before letting himself in. There you sat, hands in your lap as you stare at the carpet floor. Eyes heavy yet empty, hands slightly shaking, and tear-stained cheeks. He walks over to you and brings you closer to him by a hug. Holding your head to his chest, his arms wrapping around your waist and shoulders as he lays his head on top of yours. He whispers apologies, rubbing his hands along your skin as he begs for your forgiveness, all pride forgotten. Instead, replaced by his everlasting love for you.

"I'm.. sorry. I'm sorry.."

"You have every right to be upset at me. I wish I could take it back, I really do. I never meant it"

Shoyo Hinata -

He hates arguing with you. Hates it. Your arguments always caused over such petty things. He shouts and accuses you of being selfish and bitter. Something he can't help but feel sounds odd coming from his mouth, something he knows he wouldn't say. Why would he? You weren't selfish, you made him lunch everyday, sat and watched his volleyball games even if you held no Interest. And you certainly weren't bitter, you were the sweetest and most giving person he knew. Instantly, seeing your taken aback face he retracts his statement and rushes to you. He grabs your arms and brings you into a hug, burying your face into his shoulder as he desperately attempts to fix the situation. Feeling your cold tears drop against his bare skin, his guilt becomes too much to bare as he can feel tears swelling his eyes too. You both stand there, holding eachother in sobs, bodies limp and voices low.

"I..I don't know why I said that..i'm so sorry baby"

"Please, please I'm sorry. I love you so much I never meant it baby you know I wouldn't"

Tadashi Yamaguchi

He's not the type to argue with you, instead always making sure to communicate his true feelings. Unfortunately, you caught him off guard during one of his worst days and all the frustration and jealousy he slowly built up came crashing down all at once in a pour of yelling and tears. After realising his mistakes, he too started crying, holding you gently. Whispers of apologies in your ear as he caresses your back, gentle kisses trailing across your nape and arms in a silent apology. His voice gentle, a stark difference to his previous state. He wasn't sure what to do, whether to give you space or stay by your side in silence, a recognition of what he'd done. He'd eventually give you space to breath and recover, going out to the shop to buy flowers and your favourite snacks in an attempt to cheer you up. Once he gets home he'll leave them at your door and wait until you're ready to talk it through. When you are, he'll once again softly hold you as he apologises and explains why he reacted in such a way and how to avoid it happening again.

"I'm sorry my love, I was wrong. I took my anger out on you and that wasn't fair"

• I ACTUALLY LOVE HIM SO MUCH OMG

• He like definitely spoils you !! No matter how much he has to his name it doesn't matter it's all going on you and you have absolutely no say at all!

• Like even if you're just scrolling on your phone and say "omg that's so cute I love that" boom next day it's in his hands for you LIKE HELLO????

• His love language is primarily acts of service and touch so he'll randomly just lay on you throughout the day and give you a million kisses before getting up and just walking away

• At first it was super confusing but now you've learnt to not question things and open your arms in preparation

• Other times or if you aren't a person who's a fan of touch despite his constant reminders of how much he loves you through yelling and public displays, sometimes he likes to just run you a warm bath, finish any tasks you had to do that were left undone or

• ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND ITS JUST THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD !!

• He loves to see you at his games wearing his jeyrsey (mainly because he gets to see you with his last name) and Hinata always points you out, screaming at Bokuto "LOOK ITS YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND !!!"

• Trust me this man is always on the search for engagement rings. One day into the damn relationship and he's already looking at wedding venues

• He can just feel you're the one so why waste time???

• I headcannon he's never really had any past relationships by choice because he was more focused on volleyball than dating and then all of a sudden you came along!

• PDA IS HIS THING. THIS MAN WILL SHOW YOU OFF EVERYWHEREEE !!! Like everyone in the room needs to know he's your man no matter the situation

• He's always holding you in some type of way and most of the time he doesn't even realise it. It's as if he gravitates towards you against his will, not that's he complaining of course!

• HE LOVES YOU WEARING HIS CLOTHES

• He loves waking up to you, hair a mess and his shirt hanging off of one shoulder. There's really no place he'd rather be than with you

Ryuunosuke Tanaka

• SAME AS BOKUTO THIS MAN WILL SHOW YOU OFF TO EVERYONE WITH THE MOST SHIT EATING GRIN ON HIS FACE

• The moment you both started dating he instantly ran to Saeko re-anacting the entire situation, hand gestures and all!!

• He absolutely adores seeing you when he's practicing in the gym, you sitting on the benches just watching him. It makes him fall in love with you again each time

• He loves going on dates with you, whether that's taking you out to a nice candlelight dinner (paid for by Saeko of course) or just sitting in his room laying next to eachother listening to music. Any time with you is time well spent for him.

• He loves bragging about you to Noya exclaiming how he got a cute girlfriend first!!

• The whole team knows you better than you know yourself by now cause he just can't shut up about you

• How could he when there's just so much to love about you!!

• He always tries to act cool and nonchalant infront of you to seem like that type of boyfriend. (It lasts for 10 minutes at most until he inevitably breaks)

• HUGE PDA !!! omfggg people are sick of you guys cause you're ALWAYS hugging, kissing, or just leaving random soft touches on eachother.

• The moment he first saw you he was already planning everything from you're first date to how many kids do you want??

• He stays over yours at times to study with you (by your demand) but can't pay attention cause he's just so lost looking at you

Kozume Kenma

• Not to crush your dreams but you need to confess to him cause there is NO way he's confessing to you. Nu-uh he is not taking that risk

• Date nights with him mostly consist of either playing a two player game with him cuddled up together with you're favourite takeout, or slow strolls through quite parks together in the late evening as the sun sets

• He loves the way the sun shines across your skin making you look almost ethereal

• He always shares his food with you even if it's his favourite food, he'd rather you both enjoy it together

• He actually really enjoys watching trashy reality tv or stupid movies with you, the both of you laughing and yelling at the absurdity of it

• He's most definitely never dated before so this is all very new for him and he's nervous but wants to be a good boyfriend for you

• Even if sometimes he struggles to be you always remind him how good he is to you and you wouldn't change a thing

• One of his favourite things is to sit in bed with you, your legs across his lap as you read/play on your phone and him playing his games in silence

• Just having you near him makes him feel secure and comfortable, his hand gently rubbing along your leg to hopefully give that same feeling back

• He can't help but smirk at Kuroo's jealousy and constant "How did you get a girlfriend before me!??"

• He doesn't show you off, instead choosing to keep your relationship private from his fans

• You both prefer it that way anyways, hidden away from prying eyes in the comfort of eachother

Sawamura Daichi

• Oh what a hunk of man

• He's such a gentleman. Like Insane. You'll never open a door again in your life so long as he can help it

• Your feet hurt from wearing heels? Fuck it take the clothes off his back he couldn't care less, so long as you're comfortable

• He gets easily frustrated from work or the team so coming home to you sitting on the sofa In his clothes is the highlight of his day

• Sitting on the sofa with you, his head on your soft lap as you're gentle hands run through his dark hair as he rants about his annoying coworkers or the tiring drills

• Looking up at you're beautiful face giving him the most empathetic look as you shower him with affection. He just can't help but hold you closer to him

• I can imagine him as a great chef, like he's so good at cooking everything

• The house always smells like a banging ass meal that's he's cooking up

• There is no TMI in your relationship, everything can and will be shared with no judgement

• I headcannon he has had a bit of experience with dating in the past so he knows what he's doing but still always asks you if you think there's anything he could be doing better just so he's perfect for you

Slipping off your work clothes that are now stained with the grimy air of the sweltering summer day outside, you step under the warm comforting stream of water pouring down.

You keep checking your phone every now and then just to see if you've received any new messages from him, your head light and fuzzy each time.

Around an hour ago your boyfriend messaged saying he wanted to treat you tonight and to meet him down at the bridge just before the beach at 9:00 as the sun sets.

Reading the message over and over again your heart swelled. You didn't get the opportunity to go on a date often because of his busy schedule and your demanding job so you couldn't fight the smile plastered on your face.

Excited for the date, you wash your hair and dress into that one outfit you know that always gets his heart racing, softly placing any jewellery on that would make your outfit pop just that little bit more.

You rush your way down to the location, checking the time every 5 seconds just to make sure the clocks hadn't betrayed you suddenly when you finally see him at the bridge.

His gorgeous hair framed his face making his eyes and jawline stand out, your heart pounding with every step closer you take. His black suit fitting his body perfectly, muscles more pronounced than you've ever seen them before.

His eyes lock onto yours and you see them open slightly at the sight of you before trailing down and back up your body, his chest hitching for just a moment.

"Hey.." He says, barely above a whisper, his eyes staring at you lovingly yet you notice a slight bit of nervousness in his tone.

He inches closer to you, grabbing your waist and leaving a soft kiss on your lips. A smidge of your lipstick staining his lips, you can't help but laugh at it.

"Hi" you whisper back. His nose touching yours as you both gaze into eachothers eyes. No matter how long you've been together, no matter how many arguments you've had, you've never stopped looking at eachother with the same passion and adoration you did that one spring night.

"You look so beautiful baby, at this rate we won't make it to the beach" He says with a dopey smile on his face, you slap his shoulder gently and he laughs in response, his grip on your waist tightening.

"We should get moving, but before that.." He says before trailing off, his hands now off your waist and instead searching through his bag before bringing out a thin black cloth.

You stare at him in shock. Right here? I mean not that you would complain but..

As if immediately guessing your thoughts he let's out a low chuckle. "No sweetheart, not now atleast. Come here" He says sweetly, tying the cloth around your eyes, blinding you.

You grab onto his arm and let him pull you forward, leading you. You can feel his pulse racing from your position, yours the exact same.

You can feel him shift from your side to instead stand behind you, his hands now caressing both of your arms, his breath prickling the nerves in your ears. The excitement in your stomach is too much and you can't help but feel like you'll explode if you don't look now.

"I'm taking it off you now okay baby" He states, his hands tightening on your arms for a second before slipping away, leaving a warm sensation in its place. You feel the black cloth around your eyes come lose before being taken away completely.

You blink a few times to properly adjust your vision before your struck with the beautiful sight of the date he's set up just for you.

A warm orange and pink sunset shining down onto golden sand and calm light blue waves. A blanket lays on the sand with baskets full of your favourite foods, bottles of your favourite drink and a bouquet of your favourite flowers. All with your favourite person.

You bring a hand to your mouth to stifle a gasp and to (attempt) to hide the tears which will inevitably fall. Your heart is pounding, fighting against your ribcage for freedom and your legs feel weak and brittle.

You turn to look at him behind you, your eyes still wide with shock. "Is this really all for me" You ask him, your voice squeaky as salty tears like your flustered cheeks.

"Of course it is baby, you deserve it. You've been working so hard lately and I know we haven't been able to spend so much time together so I wanted this night to be special for us. To make up for that lost time."

Your heart melts at his kind romantic words, grabbing his face and leaving a gentle yet intimate kiss on his lips, his hands holding you like a treasure.

Excited, you grab his hand and rush over the beautiful sight. The both of you sit down onto the soft blanket watching the gentle waves crash elegantly, your hands intertwined his thumb brushing against your soft skin.

"Oh and there's one more suprise I have for you sweetheart" His honey-like voice rings in your ears, that nervousness you noticed on his features now there once again, a noticeable wrinkle between his eyebrows. But you wait patiently for his next act.

He stands up, bringing you with him, grabbing both of your hands and laying a fluttering kiss onto them before letting them drop to your sides.

The salty wind runs through his hair, the gorgeous orange light resting on his beautiful features and the yellow sand complimenting his perfectly-chosen outfit.

You gasp to yourself as he lowers himself down onto one knee, his eyes looking up at you with passion yet panic.

You feel your heart pulsing wildly, you panic momentarily that maybe you're about to die from how violent your heart is, your legs and arms shake gently and your eyes filling with tears of love as you stare into his gorgeous eyes.

"Darling, we've been together for so long now and everyday I've grown to love you more and more. I can't imagine my life without you, I can't imagine a day I wake up without you there. I love you so much baby. Would you give me the honour of a lifetime and marry me?"

Your both hands now over your mouth, tears running down your face wildly.

"Oh honey, of course I will I'd love to" You yell, your voice cracking just that little bit as you throw yourself at him, holding him closely to you as if you could merge together to make one.

He slides the ring onto your finger gently, his hands resting on yours, caressing your palm.

"I can't wait to start a beautiful future with you"
