I have been reading manga online because it's quick and easy and why not? This one that I've been obsessed with, "Love Shuttle", just came to an end. There's the main couple, which cute, but there's a side couple with one of the male lead's older brother and a doctor. The side stories get a bit yikes, what with the one-sided incest (yup, that's a thing), and I don't really like the doctor character, but Dojun, the brother, oh I love this disaster of a man.

The best part of it is, Dojun is very much my fictional type-in fact, he is very much Jiang Cheng throughout the story. The thing is, there's this glorious scene in Chapter 87, where Dojun overheard the doctor saying shitty things about him and their relationship to his buddies and then walked out when the doctor saw him. The doctor runs after him and Dojun stops and struggles so much-and the first thing he says is an apology, because he hadn't meant to eavesdrop and it really was a coincidence. Then the doctor apologizes and Dojun nearly dissociates himself into another plane of existence before saying something like "oh, so if you're apologizing, that means that you did the wrong thing. That I'm angry with you is justified and if I'm mad at you now, I'm not just being an angry weirdo like everyone always tells me I am", and I was just like, oh, baby-you and Jiang Cheng need to start a support group.

Anyway, that's the story of the time an ABO yaoi manga made me cry on a random afternoon in February.

I binged, and holy fuck. I love it so much.

(Spoilers ahead ⚠️)

My favourite thing I think is that Doyun finally turning fully omega doesn't change him. At least not in how I read it. Him and Taehan get closer and more affectionate and that's normal.

I do feel like he was a bit dumb about not wanting to learn how to manage his new situation in life, but I imagine it was a bit of not wanting to accept that it would change his life.

My eternal petpeeve about omegaverse is pregnancy. That's just because I have no interest in pregnancy myself though. So while I could have lived without the pregnancy confirmation, it didn't bother me too much in this scenario.

However.. the side stories.

The chapter where Jinyoung brings Dojun to his new apartment, and Dojun geeking out about the place is absolutely adorable. He really loves his job.

Got grumpy over how Jinyoung reacted about it though. Let the man enjoy it!

Though to be fair there's nothing about Dojun's part of the story that I really liked. Jinyoung is an ass (he's trying but still). And Do-hwa makes me want to commit murder.

He's in love with his brother. Which, fine, that's fine.

But every single thing they show me, he's basically abusing him. Embarrassing him in front of his entire class as a kid, (AND NO ONE IN HIS FAMILY SAYS ANYTHING!). Getting himself involved in Dojun's relationship with Jinyoung. Sexual assault while his brother is heartbroken and drunk.

I'm glad Dojun got the last word in the end, but I can't help but wish that Do-hwa could have suffered a bit more.
