I see that many bunnies are interested in the religious theme and the hierophilia kink, so I'm thinking of writing something in that style in the very near future.

I remember seeing the first stage banner shortly after I started playing SaGaRS and being quite surprised by seeing Wagnas/Noel/Roc all human-like, not that Noel and Roc didn't look more human than the others in the first place but I had no idea of the stage play back then XD What Termite Queen!? Hmmm I won't say that it's incorrect or wrong and piss of the entire population of India 💀 I am not that brave

And also because I REALLY like Ramanand Sagar Ji's Ramayan that was made with so much love and care and devotion you CAN NOT hate it even though that's not the Ramayan I grew up watching because I'm too young haha (I was/am more of a Siya ke Ram girlie)

But there are aspects to it that are... Idk... Incorrect...? Atleast according to the Valmiki Ramayan I mean

Like I already said the Valmiki Ramayan doesn't have any Swayamvar. Neither does it have any Lakshman Rekha or a lot of things.

And the fact Vanar(s) were HUMANS not monkeys. But that's a thing every adaptation of Ramayan does so I don't really mind.

Unless that Hanuman wala serial (I forgot the name) where only the men were monkey and women were human 💀 wtf was that I minded a lot

Hmmm... But one thing I would love to say is wrong is the Luv Kush scenes. Idk why most serials add this bit that Luv Kush came to Ayodhya then they stopped the Ashwa. I was actually so shocked to see that because I grew up with every story of them only meeting Ram at the forest...

I could say that Bhajan scene was incorrect. BUT I LOVE THAT SCENE. Literally I listen to that every week once 🥹🥹 but sigh that's not in Valmiki Ramayan...

And uhhhh ig one thing I ACTUALLY don't like about RS's Ramayan that would be how many modern day hindi terms were used in the dialogues... Ig that was made so general audience could understand better and enjoy more but I personally am not a big fan of that... So yeah...

They say if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere! Celebrities can be found wandering the shops and giving impromptu performances all over Sims3City. There's live show venues everywhere and it's easy to see why they say this city runs on dreams yet never sleeps!

I found this absolutely gorgeous map: Waterfall Beauty and just had to use it to make my own city world save! This map did come with lots already designated so I filled it up with the best townhouses, apartments, and city life buildings I could find or make to make my own version of a mashup of Starlight Shores and Bridgeport.

If you go at certain times of the day to catch a movie at Serena's Community Cinema, you might be able to see some of today's biggest stars working on set! You can pick up whatever you need at the big Sims 3 Market nearby and marvel at all of the old historical residential buildings before you head over to the Double Rainbow Disco Club for more dancing!

For those sims with a more exclusive taste, Club 112 in the historical section is the perfect lounge!

There's The Remaude Coffee Emporium Coffeehouse and Elixir Of Life Coffeehouse and shops for more live venues and fun in Sims3City!

After all of that excitement, the city folks like to visit the Stone Troll Mill Fishing Pond to unwind and maybe catch some dinner if they're lucky!

I felt this morning .. or as I lay desperately trying to get the eyes to shut for the dreams of dreams .. that .. what I had put up on various media platforms was perhaps not quite understood .. or where it came from ..

the words were composed by me , inspired by the famous Kabir doha

Kabir Das ..

Kabir (1398–1518)  was a well-known Indian mystic poet and saint. His writings influenced Hinduism's Bhakti movement, and his verses are found in Sikhism's scripture Guru Granth Sahib, the Satguru Granth Sahib of Saint Garib Das, and Kabir Sagar of Dharamdas.

Born in the city of Varanasi in what is now Uttar Pradesh ..

the Doha, or a poetic style of writing, means, and what Kabir expresses is :

that Guru and the Almighty both stand before me ; who's feet should I touch for blessings ?

and the Doha says :

bow down your head at the feet of the Guru, for he was the one that introduced you to the Almighty - told you about the Almighty

SO .. when I saw the picture of Abhishek and myself at the GOJ , I remembered the Doha of Kabir and designed one, inspired by the Kabir Doha , and wrote -

meaning ..

(this as though someone from the crowd asks this question to the two Father and Son .. that the Father and Son both before me , who do I greet first with pranaam , namaste, namaskaar 🙏)

and the line next says in meaning :

life was given to them, Father and the Son, by Babuji, ( as I address my Father publicly ), do sashtaáng pranaam to him - to Babuji ..

saáshtaáng is the deepest gesture or posture of placing yourself in obeisance before the feet of any :

the deeper meaning then be that .. do not give your respectful namaste to us Father and Son .. do a sashtang to my Father, Babuji , for he created the two of us ..

and the reference goes back to the original Kabir Doha of Guru and the Almighty .. pay the respect first to the Guru, for he was the one that introduced you to the Almighty ..

Babuji in his autobiography may have said that Amitabh is my best poetry ..

BUT ..

He, Babuji was the poet !!

Reading This Week 2024 #31

hello hello! I listened to a Lot of audiobooks this past week, to the point where I'm like "that can't be right. i can't have read that much" but i did. i in fact Mostly read this week because i didn't have many other plans, but i accomplished something fun, which was reading the additional chapters of some academic texts i read a portion of for school reasons last year

Finished:

Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle, audiobook read by Mara Wilson follows a girl in a sort faux-Mormon Christian cult who is being haunted by a demon that punishes her for thinking gay thoughts. it got it's job done, but personally, since I already had my Big Gay Feelings about leaving the church, and felt those very viscerally, I always find myself pretty much ambivalent to fiction that is trying to tell that story? i already lived that so anything that puts it down on page just doesn't live up to the experience

How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe by Charles Yu, audiobook read by James Yaegashi I liked where the experimental style of this went around the middle, with large blank pages and long footnotes. sort meh on it otherwise but its did its "introspective scifi about having to live your own life" job just fine

The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo, read by Cindy Kay cool to check this out a few years after all the hype for it, the fictional history it tells makes your heart ache

Extravagant Abjection: Blackness, Power, and Sexuality in the African American Literary Imagination by Darieck Scott I think I got the most for my work out of the sections I read last year, but it was good to get the context of the rest of the book to see what Scott is arguing as a whole work

Nimona by N.D. Stevenson wow! Stevenson's art just harmonizes so perfectly with the story he's telling here

"Theorizing Yes: An Essay on Feminism, Law, and Desire" by Katherine M. Franke in Feminist and Queer Legal Thory: Intimate Encounters, Uncomfortable Conversations edited by Martha Albertson Fineman et al.

The Appeal by Janice Hallett, audiobook read by Daniel Philpott, Aysha Kala, Rachel Adedeji, & Sid Sagar such a fun ride! I read this on a recommendation from some dear friends and I'm very glad I did. Absolutely sings in audiobook format so I accidentally dedicated a whole day to it... whoops! it was great tho and I'm excited to check out Hallett's other mysteries

The Battle for Paradise: Puerto Rico Takes on the Disaster Capitalists by Naomi Klein, audiobook read by Erin Bennett

Saga, Chapter Sixty-Seven written by Brain K. Vaughn, illustrated by Fiona Staples I just so happened to go to two comicbook stores the day after this issue released, completely unaware that it was back from it's short hiatus. so excited to see more of the character from the last page

Blooming Into You, Vol. 1 by Nakatani Nio, translated by Jenny McKeon what an interesting approach to a lesbian love story. insta-love for the older girl, slow burn for the younger

"The Impossibility of Feminism" by Andrea Long Chu

Side Affects: On Being Trans and Feeling Bad by Hil Malatino, audiobook read by the author also an academic work i was finishing after reading a few chapters last year. when i read it last year i was a little "hmm i dont think this feeling is as trans specific as it is being made out to be" but i think the other chapters make a better arguments for these bad trans feelings
