Tomb Raider 1 Remastered - Lost Valley:

I did not give the original Tomb Raider the credit it deserves when I was a kid. I always liked TR2 better, but now that I’m replaying them as an adult, I’m loving this one so much. The levels don’t feel like they were designed with strategy guide sales in mind - I hardly ever have to look up what to do as I play this one. The plot is fun, the villains are fun… What a masterpiece!

This track is an instrumental riff of Fist Bump, carrying all of the high energy and intensity with it. It does diverge melodically, but I believe it carries the same harmonic progression throughout. I really dig the piano stings in the first little "verse" section after the intro; it adds nice depth to the track. The guitar in the back left ear is pretty cool! I think the melody of this is more cohesive--the contrast of long tones in the "chorus" section breaks up the choppy "verse" section, giving some distinction for the ear. That's Songwriting 101!
