y'all know how spamton has puppet motifs and noelle has angel motifs right.

if you were a lore important character in deltarune, what would your motifs be?

i feel like i would be associated with darkness. ive always been an outsider looking in for most of my life, and I've always envisioned it as me being in a pitch-black void looking into a world full of light and life.

I kinda made that whole headcanon for Wingdings based on this thing that happens in deltarune with your phone:

was fascinated by kris and noelle’s friendship when i played chapter 2. finding out some of their unique dialogue together made me think they were so cute and really showcased how well they know each other, despite also being kind of awkward having lost some acquaintance… 🥺🫶🏻

I've seen it theorized that Papyrus might be an amnesiac, but I haven't really seen anyone point this out:

To me this feels like he's struggling to remember. "There was green grass" is really vague, not to mention being completely irrelevant to the question - like he only has images of it in his head but can't remember what his life was actually LIKE.

And...

Papyrus can't remember the last time Sans was able to celebrate the holidays with so many friends. At first glance that's just kind of sad, but it could be more significant than we think. The last time Sans would have celebrated the holidays with so many friends would have been before he came to Snowdin, right? At least, probably.

This whole idea of Papyrus only having vague memories of his life before could bring new context to a lot of different lines of dialogue from him. Him knowing what the sun is (as is known from his date), yet apparently not recognizing it when he sees it on the surface (which I initially assumed was just him making a joke, but it might not have been.) Him saying "ARE YOU IN A TOILET?" immediately followed by "ALSO, WHAT'S A TOILET?" like he knows that's something with lots of water but can't remember anything beyond that.

I'm not sure if there's enough here for me to fully believe he can't remember his life before yet. But it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Introducing Clover's friend group for the Lucky Clover AU! I'm planning to do a proper doodle page for each of them, but here's a basic run down of them all.

Dess is the newest addition to the friend group, only recently joining after a chance meeting with Clover in Snowdin. She's aloof and tends to keep to herself, causing some tension between her and the rest of the group. Clover is determined to ensure she's welcomed, regardless of her family connections to the extremely anti-human mayor of Snowdin.

GK is one of Clover's childhood friends! He lives in the Wild East with his single father, though he much prefers the arcade in Oasis Valley to any of the western attractions. He's extremely committed to the 'cool anime protagonist' bit, to the point that he actively refuses to wear glasses despite needing them.

Sandra is Clover's other childhood friend, though she lives in the Oasis Valley. Due to Clover's family connection with Kanako, she immediately latched onto them as a friend, and the two are particularly close. She's somewhat of a popular girl, but she's actually very sweet and humble.

Sage is the eldest of the group! While she isn't around as often, having more adult responsibilities and being swamped with her job, she's still an honorary member. She still lives in Snowdin with her family. She may be the oldest of the group, but she's extremely anxious and doesn't have the strength to reign in everyone's shenanigans. Please let her take a nap.
