I think the best way to judge if someone is worth keeping in your life is to ask yourself, “would a member of the fellowship act like this?” If the answer is no, get them the fuck out as fast as you can. That’s not someone that needs to be in your life because you deserve love and respect. Let the fellowship be your basis for any good relationship, romantic or platonic, especially considering the base for any good romantic relationship is a good friendship.

Okay so my dad introduced me to this dramatized version of Lord of the Rings and it is AMAZING! This guy took the sound effects, dialogue, and music directly from the movies to create the most in-depth audiobook I've ever listened to. It's 100% true to the book, completely unabridged. Listening to it just feels like you're there, right with them. 1000/10, highly recommend.

This actually makes me want to cry.

I just want to wake up to the wound of waterfalls. "You are in the house of Elrond," Gandalf says. "And it is ten o'clock in the morning, on October the twenty-fourth, if you want to know." I don't particularly mind the day, nor how many pass. The days do not really pass here anyway. I pass through them. The halls are open, the breeze calming, the elves tall and beautiful and good. Each day we dine, and the Lord Elrond presides, full of goodness and radiance. Music seems to echo all around me, filling my soul even more than the elvin food. I could live on their songs and light alone. The mornings are fresh, the evenings golden. At night, I wander quietly. The stars, bright and cold, shine from above, mere echoes of the true radiance that is all around me. I am at peace.

I remember when I first watched Fellowship of the Ring, when the hobbit kids were running after Frodo called Gandalf a disturber of the peace, I was laughing my ass off because I thought the kids were running because they didn’t want to be sent on an adventure like Bilbo was. I still think that would’ve been fucking hilarious but them wanting fireworks is cute too

The Fellowship When I was a kid, my folks basically told me I was a hobbit. I cherish the memory of them reading all these books to me--and I turned around and read them to my little siblings and eventually to my partner! I've drawn and painted a lot for The Hobbit but never The Lord of the Rings, and this ECCC seemed like the right time to debut one!
