Sincerely, I wouldn't be surprised at the idea that half the court wants Lord Golden's wealth and be seen with him in order to get closer to the queen (who seems to appreciate this original foreigner).

And Fitz is just "Everybody is in love with him". And I wonder how beautiful is everyone since we only have Fitz's opinion.

I blame Laurel a little for this. I think Laurel just wanted to know what this guy had to be the queen's new friend. (And also she was looking for ways to achieve social "success" due to a small impostor syndrome/revenge on the Old Blood related to her lack of Wit, and marrying a "Lord" was a great way to achieve that, but I have a lot of theories about Laurel for later...)
