"Greetings once more, Three Radiant Ones!" Maksviah called to the Magi who swirled up ahead, "It is a pleasure to visit your lovely island once more! The festivities have been wonderful, as expected, and even now we wear your gifts with pride. Mine young one has kept his in wonderful condition."

"I make sure to polish it a bunch so it's always shiny!" Loraifon chirped, entire body wiggling excitedly.

"I am sure you have noticed," Maksviah continued, "However I have also brought with me some of my dearest and brilliant of companions, the ones who represent Dawn, Dusk, and their new child, Twilight."

"Hello hello!" Dawn waved at the the three, remaining on the ground to stand by his husband and child.

"You flatter us, Maksviah." Dusk chuckled. Perched on his head, Twilight stared up at the Magi with wide eyes, confused but enthralled.

"Before our arrival on this isle, we all came together to create three gifts once more, ones we hope you find just as brilliant as the ones previously gifted."

"Before you we present three silk robes, each representing the graceful Dusk, the brilliant Dawn, and the gentle beauty of the light between both, Twilight."

"It took us a bit to get the colours juuuuuust right, but we're really happy with how they turned out." Dawn said with a big smile.

"We hope you like them just as much as we had fun making them." Dusk said, Twilight chirping softly on his head.

“Wow, that’s super cool and nice of you to be helping them out! Sometimes taking a long nap is what you really need, ya know? I take naps all the time, and my mom watches over me when I do, kinda like what you’re doing! I always feel better after them, and I hope she does too.”

“Me? I’m exploring with my big brother! He’s visiting us which he can’t do super often because he’s super busy and important!  You’re job is kinda like my brothers actually, because he also does a bunch of important things for other legendaries too, like help them out when they’re having big fights. The fights aren't nice, so he helps them stop and talk better with eachother.“

“Anyway! We saw the ruins and thought they were super neat and wanted to check them out! So we’re exploring! I... kinda walked off when he wasn’t looking, haha... But it’s ok! He knows I’m safe. But! I can yell form him if you wanna meet him. He super nice, I promise!”

(@ask-dawnanddusk) "WOW MISS, YOU LOOK REALLY PRETTY!!" Loraifon shouted enthusiastically, excited to see the giant bird. "You're feathers also look super soft! I mean, not as soft as moms, but still really soft! But I'm confused, aren't Ho-oh not supposed to live here? I mean, I think mom told me that there are already three big strong pokemon who live in… Kanto? No, Kalos! Right, Kalos. An I thought they kinda watched over it, right? So what are you doing here?"

Harumi watched the young one excitedly blurt their thoughts at her. She quite enjoyed spending time with children and this little joy was no exception.

"You are very knowledgeable on such a topic. I applaud your insight!" She ruffles Loraifon's fluff with a wing. "To answer your question, yes. There are three big gods that rule over this land. I am here because one of them is sleeping and needs my help so she can get a good rest."

This, obviously, was a very simple way of putting the situation but Harumi did not wish to trouble the child with the dark details.

"What about you? Why are you here?"

(@ask-dawnanddusk) Loraifon enthusiastically approached Atena, little bounces propelling him forward until he came to a stop in front of her. “Hello Ms.! I like your dress, it's really pretty! Ooh, wait, I was wondering! Do you like islands? Because we’re on an island right now! I haven't been to many islands, but this one is my favourite! Do you have a favourite island?”

Atena couldn't help but stand in awe of the young Arceus. She eventually shook off the initial shock, smiling before responding.

Thank you, little one. I know we're on an island, and it's lovely, too. I'm afraid I don't have a favorite, however. But if I ever do choose one, you'll be the first to know!

(@ask-dawnanddusk) Teeny-tiny hooves clacked on the ground as Loraifon approached the goomy, enthusiastic and unapologetically loud. “Hello mister!!! Your glasses are really shiny and nice! I saw them when you were talking with my mom. Oh, wait, I have a question! I wanna know, how do you make yourself all sparkly? Like, extra-extra sparkly, not like me. I’m starry, not sparkly! But you're so sparkly and it kinda goes ‘poof!’ around you like a cloud. It’s very pretty!”

*When Slime Boi first saw the little Arceus trot along to him, his breath caught in his throat. The excitement. The child-like wonder. It was rather surprising really. It was so familiar. He tried to keep his cool.*

Slime Boi: Oh hey. I, erm, am a shiny Pokémon. Or, I suppose that's what others would consider me as. The sparkles are just a natural part of being shiny. That's the vibe. Gotta have that twinkly feeling, you know? Happens when I appear. It's, erm...well...

*He just couldn't keep that chill vibe that he had. It wasn't possible. As his smile turned to that of a sadder variety, he couldn't help but look away.*

Slime Boi: Someone who used to be so full of joy when he was young. You really do act similar to who he was. Sorry. Could I just shoot a little advice your way?

*It was true. This young Arceus was exactly like how his brother was like as a child. So young and excitable. Wanting to find out everything. Wanting to know all about him. It was overwhelming. He thought he'd be over his brother. It had been billions of years at this point since he was a child. But there was always that tiny piece of him that wanted things to go back to how they were before he allowed Aladar to have his own world. Before disaster struck that drove a rift between the both of them. No, he wasn't his brother anymore. He made that choice when the younger Arceus destroyed everything he loved. His eyes made contact with the green Arceus in front of him.*

Slime Boi: Please, don't ever lose your sense of child-like wonder and excitement. Please. And if you need help with anything, please just ask someone. Don't just feel that you can do everything yourself, ok kid? You've got some wonderful caretakers. Just let them help you if you need it...

*Damn, what was he doing? Giving unsolicited advice to a child? Really bums out the mood. Ruins the vibes. Slime Boi shook his head. He had to get this conversation back on track.*

Slime Boi: Sorry bud. Sometimes someone reminds you of someone and it just makes you feel different vibes. You said about your stars. They're absolutely radical. Like, were you born with them? Hmm, actually a lot of Arceus just pop into existence. Did you come from an egg?

(ShayminCafe) Shaymes approached the large serpent with caution, taking flight into the air to account for their large size difference. Spreading his wings as wide as he could whilst in flight, Shaymes bowed before Vourison. "Blessings be upon you and your kin," he said. "Have you come to seek the blessings of the Magi? Perhaps invite them to pass some good fortune upon your friends and kin?"

"Ah. Hello." Vourison said awkwardly, not expecting the sudden question. "Seeing the Magi would be interesting I suppose, but it's not really what I'm here for. I mean, I'm mostly here because my family wanted to come and dragged me along for the ride."

He gestured towards where Loraifon was bouncing around, "Everyone else is pretty excited to meet them though. This is my first time being on the island myself, but they've been to this festival multiple times."

"What about yourself, any specific reason you came here?"

���Oh wow, those all sound really good! Um… can I have a fudge cookie? Also, if I can, could I get a chocolate chip cookie too? I wanna get it for my mom as a surprise, and I’m pretty sure I have enough money for it.”

He holds up the shiny gold nugget. “I think this is enough? If not though, you can just give me the fudge cookie. There are a bunch of these around our village, so I’m not sure how much you think it’s worth. Mom doesn’t use them much in most of her work unless she wants to make them shiny.”

(@ask-dawnanddusk) Loraifon (in his reshiram form): "Wow, there are a lot of really cool looking pokemon here! It reminds me of home, we have a lot of hi-hybrid? is that the word? Well, we have pokemon like that living in our village too! Oh right, food. My mom gave me some money to buy a cookie! Can I have one please?"

Qwen: "Of course. Right now we have chocolate chip, fudge filled cookies, and snickerdoodles on sale. We also could make custom order if you wanted anything else?"

"Oh right, I came here because while me and mom were traveling I heard that someone went missing for a while, and I got worried and wanted to see how that mon' was feeling! How's it feel coming back after so long, and what do you remember before you were found? Did you find out something neat while you were at it?"

Saltriv smiled, and waved their leaf. “Thank you! I’m really proud of it!”

Their leaf drooped at Loraifon’s question, though. “It...it was really scary. So much was different, and so many more Pokemon had gone missing...”

“But I’m ok!” A smile appeared back on their face.

“And...there’s only one thing I remember before being found,” the Chikorita said, swaying their leaf to the side. “A rainbow void, a giant pink and black hand reaching down for me...and a human, who saved me. A human! Though I wonder if it was just a dream...”

A LONG overdue revenge on NovaArora! She did an amazing piece of Whalesong last year and I was so excited to work on a piece for her this year. I had a lot of fun playing with proportions and expression to really sell the fact that Loraifon is Just A Little Guy.

“I’ll be super nice! So nice the flowers wont even know what mean is! Who would even be mean to flowers, especially ones so pretty? That just makes them big doo doo heads! Oops, don’t tell mom I said that! But yeah, your flowers are very pretty! I kinda want to get closer, but I’m pretty clumsy…”

He questioned before quickly realizing something. "Oh wait, you asked a question first, which means I gotta answer it. Oops. I'm not lost, my mom's near here, I just wanted to explore a bit!"

“Welcome to Johto. I hope you like it here.”

(asktheisle) It was hardly a challenge for Nat to spot the familiar Reshiram stopping for a visit once again. They tried to approach calmly, but it was clear he was bubbling with excitement.

"Maksviah!! It's great to see you again! And you too, Loraifon."

The human remembered how the young one was a bit overwhelmed the last time, being sure to lower his voice in volume to address the Arceus.

"I see you both have your gifts from last time! Also brought along some more company, huh?"

"NAT!" Loraifon cheered at the sight of the human, excitedly stumbling to their hooves and leaning over the edge of his mothers back, eager to greet him.

"Loraifon, careful." Maksviah gently chided, raising a wing to help her child climb down from her back before speaking to Nat, "It's wonderful to see you again! It has been far too long since we've visited. I look forward to this celebration."

Landing on the ground with a little 'thump', Loraifon excitedly zipped around Nat in a happy circle, bonking his head on the humans leg like an affectionate cat before zipping off towards Dawn and Dusk. "Look, look! I have a cousin now!!" he pointed at Dusks head where Twilight peered out with bright, curious eyes.

"My two dear friends have recently become parents." Maksviah explained, "This is the first major celebration they have attended since their egg hatched."

"Hello hello!" Dawn waved a wing, laughing at Loraifons excitement, "I'm Dawn, this is my husband Dusk, and my darling daughter Twilight."

"We look forward to exploring the island and enjoying the festivities." Dusk said with a smile, "Twilight seems enamoured by the seashore."

"I wonder who she got that trait from~"

Stamping little baby hooves, Loraifon declared “Now that I have a new cousin you have to give us free snacks! It’s the law!”

“Haha, we would appreciate it if you told us where to get some for future reference. We’ll pay as needed, no need to worry.”

"Wait, but that can't happen! They used to be your Unova, right?… Well, I don't understand all of it, but from what my brother's taught me, some of the past lives on in the now, even if it changes. Like, a person looks the way they are because long long loooooong ago someone else looked like that, sorta, kinda, and they were loved! and that lives on today."

"And! And my Ma also said that Ideals are shaped by a persons Truth! And that a persons Truth is, is… I forget, but still! It's like, if you're color blind, and everything is black and white, you're still right, right? Like that's a persons truth, kinda? And they're not wrong! Because they cant control that! So the Ideals change to fit that, like making things that people who're color blind can see! I think. This is hard to explain, bleugh. I wish Ma was here, she could explain better."

Loraifon is attempting to comfort Reshi. He is, however, not the best at articulating his thoughts. Nor is he best at sorting them into things that are actually comforting.

"You are not." Maksviah retorted, causing a fretting Dawn to wilt slightly. "All is well, my friend, I promise."

"But what if they don't react well to her?" Dawn worried, "What if SHE doesn't react well to someplace new? What if-"

"If something like that happens, then we will handle it as best as we can." Dusk cut in, reassuring his husband, "But we've already been here once before my love, and everyone reacted well to our presence before, not to mention Loraifon." He pointed at the young arceus perched on Maksviah's back. At the sound of his name Loraifon perked up and waved down at Dusk, who returned it with a slight chuckle.

"I can personally attest to this islands safety and acceptance." Maksviah chimed in.

"You're right, you're right." Dawn sighed, "I just worry. At least it seems like Twilight is taking it all well." He said, observing how his daughter reacted to her new surroundings from her perch upon Dusk's head.

"Exactly. Now stop your fretting and let's go have fun!"

Dawn, Dusk, Twilight, Maksviah, and Loraifon have all arrived at the Magi Retreat!

When Maksviah and Loraifon exited the cave, the first thing they heard was the sound of wing beats, bringing with them a warm and humid stream of air that clearly hailed from more southern seas far from their current cold location. Raising their heads to look up, both smiled at the familiar figure who’d arrived.

“Big brother Vox!” Loraifon cheered.

“It has been far too long since your last visit, Voxgatum.” Maksviah said with a smile, “It is wonderful to see you doing well.”

“It’s great to see you too mother. And Loraifon, You’ve grown so much!” The lugia said with a smile. “I can’t wait to catch up with you both.”
