Not really sure what you would call it. Its half casual Kawaii and half Lolita, either way it's cozy and cute. I was wearing two petticoats and one of my new handmade necklaces, which was the centerpiece, that day. I'm happy with the outfit.

🌱Self drafted sundress bodice with button placket and back shirring, with self draft tiered skirt. Styled with thrifted cardi and hat, and a little enamel mushroom necklace from mairijewellery.bigcartel.com 🍄

🍄Drafting that tiered skirt was hard! Proportions for a flattering waist-hip ratio are actually quite delicate (I have no hips), so I wound up making the top tier 2.5x waist and the same length as the side bodice after a LOT of trial and error ;_;

Tldr:A bunch of stuff went wrong and I'm sleepy now but the necklace got made. With necklace pictures. The pictures are really the main focus here, I just felt a bizarre need to share how things went this time because it wasn't the smoothest.

So just starting out things went wrong. I keep my crafting stuff in the bottom drawer of my dresser. I took what I would need out and set it on my bed, including my measuring tape. I lost the measuring tape. I looked all over my bed and even back in the drawer I knew I had took it out but it was gone. Thankfully, I had another one in my sewing drawer so I just took it out.

I carried everything to the kitchen to measure and cut the chains only to find that in the process of looking for the measuring tape and carrying everything to the kitchen I managed to tangle the chain. I was able to untangle it enough and not get anything in my eyes or feet. I mean that feels like the way things should have went today.

After tidying up the work space in the kitchen I thought I would do the rest in my bedroom to be nice, cozy, and have personal space. To start with I strung in one of the small roses I made, the center of a gold chain and the ends of two small silver chains into one jump ring. Things seemed harder to get in then usual but that's okay, I thought I was done and it was time to close the jump ring. I closed it, or so I thought, I went to try to take a picture displaying it like so.

And all of the chains feel right out. I was confused since it seemed closed but I started to realize I was wrong. There was like the smallest crack in the world there. Even though it was big enough for them to fall out it was still small enough that i cojldnt put them back in. So I had to up it back up which was much harder since the rose was still attached. Then I put all three chains back in, and when I tried to closed it, the hoop went flying across my room. I still have no clue where it is. Thankfully I still had plenty more and had things went a bit smoother from there. Although I still feel tired, have a slight headache, and my vision is a little blurry now. I'm not really sure why, apparently that was a bit more than me or my eyes and head were prepared for.

At least I'm happy with this necklace. For reference I made this to go with the dress I wore last week I believe. This one.

I hope it will work, I don't look great today so I'll share an outfit and how it looks on me another time.
