Every season has its own charm. The main thing is to see her.
Happiness does not depend on anyone. It is already inside you in winter, and in spring, and in summer, and in autumn.
Yuri Loktionov
В каждом времени года есть своя прелесть. Главное – увидеть её.
Счастье не зависит ни от кого. Оно уже внутри тебя и зимой, и весной, и летом, и осенью.

How could I spend my millions
I was thinking and that was where I came from. In 2002, I stole $1,994,000 from Rosneft. How many needy I could help. In 2003, the situation was 3 times larger - $4,711,000. With this money it was possible to pay tuition for several hundreds of children.
And in 2005, as much as 10 million US dollars! With this money it was possible to help a huge number of people with medicines. But what did I do? That's right, I took everything for myself! And invested in my property, in my possessions in Moscow, Geneva, Paris and London.

TSS Part 1: Authors Notes
I've had trouble summing up my thoughts thus far, so this might not be as coherent as I might like, but here goes:
The Shadow Side is a (very loose) adaptation of the Underworld Vision of an Assyrian Prince, a narrative from the 7th century BCE (Neo-Assyrian Period). There is a translation of it available in the Electronic Text Corpus of Sumerian Literature: (spoilers if you read it though!)
Tumblr media
The protagonist is Kumma, or Kummay, the titular "Assyrian Prince". Some older papers have suggested that he is a depiction of an actual historical figure (Assurbanipal was proposed), but I favor that he more likely represents a hypothetical royal heir rather than any specific person.
Tumblr media
The text itself is, well, in my opinion, pretty weird. It has motifs and several characters that do not appear in many other places, if they appear in other sources at all. There is good evidence of Egyptian influences on the text (source 2), but it also has parallels to the Gilgamesh Epic (source 1) and other Sumerian/Akkadian underworld myths.
It's a favorite - probably the oldest "Tour of Hell" story (if you don't count Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and the Netherworld.)
This is the first project of this scale that I've ever done, and I basically winged it as I went. I have learned some good lessons through the process of making,
Tumblr media
But I know I have a lot more to learn.
Tumblr media
Thanks so much to the people who helped me edit or find sources!

AJ (not on this website, if you know, you know)
Also thanks to all the people I messaged asking about comics processes in a totally normal and subtle manner! I appreciate it!
A few of the papers I read:
A Transtextual View on the “Underworld Vision of an Assyrian Prince" by Johannes Bach (on Academia)
An “Egyptianising” Underworld Judging an Assyrian Prince? New Perspectives on VAT 10057 by Alex Loktionov (also on academia)
The "Underworld Vision" of the Ninevite Intellectual Milieu by Mehmet-Ali Ataç (this one is older and contains theories that have since been proved obsolete.)

Syntez Scheme
The shares buyback let me get another 280 million dollars. I just used another company called «Syntez». Initially «Syntez» bought «Rosneft» shares at the hilarious price and then sold those shares back to the state-owned oil company with a great margin. I used the Swiss bank professionals to launder my greens and to legalise my fortune – I’ve already mentioned that bank several times. Those specialists made a new sneaky program especially for me. Surely, my real earnings had nothing to do with the ones in official declarations.
