Strange finally meets the Ancient One (Celt) for the first time; though that meeting and Strange himself are a little different from what Celt is expecting. For One.. Tony Stark is present and in his company. And oh, does she have questions and extra words for him, and Ormr's absence at Tony's side. She has guesses as to why that's a thing. Barnes has assembled the first two parts of the Lupi; consisting of a somewhat narrowed mix of well.. himself, and a few others from differing shards. Numerous Loki he's never met accompany them.. some with the intent to personally join the search for Ego.. or his remains; with the intent of pursuing a way to at least try to better control the Power-Stone fueled cosmic fire Door Fifteen's Peter Quill has become: the half-Celstial in question at this point having consumed half of their Titan's solar system. In New York, Vulture raises his head earlier than other Shards thanks to the changes not just in the world climate: but especially to how differently from other Shards the Avengers function after their very different outcomes in Germany and Siberia; leading to Parker ending up back at the Tower to accidentally discover Tony has kept it: and why he has..

In a universe where Loki allied with the Guardians early, and survived the beginning of the Infinity War; things have turned out very different.

And now that the conflicts ending on Earth in Wakanda, are over? The things sped through and set aside to accomplish that are still being caught up with by Stephen Strange, a set of fractured but mending Avengers team; and the rest of the worlds involved. Especially, Earth; and what remains of Asgard.

Two weeks into that aftermath, Stephen is still reeling and uncertain between the things he's seen, heard, and experienced while reluctantly standing shoulder to shoulder with, if not steps behind the mostly Asgardian-taught sorcerer: adding the revelation he was known by and ally to the previous Sorceress Supreme, the Ancient One? And that Loki has taken up the position of Master of the London Sanctum out of respect for the centuries-old Celt's recorded posthumous requests especially?

Isn't helping Strange, come to terms.. much.

Lokiverse EXTRAS - UPDATED

Finished two I’ve been playing with on and off with for a while between chapters! As usual, the links to the fics are in the bolded titles. I kinda wanted to get these two out of hanging around in my drafts..

Mixed Signals - Universe/Door 1 - When stubborn and distrustful, meets stubborn and distrustful? It makes filling in the gaps a difficult thing. Nearly a week after leaving his throne behind to step between Tony Stark and Bucky Barnes: if Loki is actually going to keep good on another of his ass-backwards bets? Tony wants to make good use of it.

The problem? Controlling his ego and admitting he's wrong has never been Tony's strong suit. Maybe less so for the fact it's already been bruised and battered from Ultron, his and Steve's most recent screw ups.. and the fact that even the guy Loki just met gets more earnest answers than Stark as a result of Tony's own issues. Even, when the blue eyed brunette is at a distance...

Kindred - Universe/Door 3 - Bruce is among those 'visiting' Loki after the Bifrost is repaired, after giving Tony's paranoia a little nudge to find a way to get a hold of Thor to do so. Their conversations are fairly 'normal' when more than one of the others aren’t present. Bruce is starting to lose his patience with the lot he brought with him though. Not that he was given much of a choice.

Meanwhile, his personal interactions with the Trickster? Are... almost unsettling in how calming and unfettered they are by comparison to his interactions with others since his accident, questions aside. To the point that, Banner wants getting his answers underway; but isn't willing to push -too- much rush to them once that's accomplished...

      “ I’m not certain explaining now has any meaning. “ irritated Stark to no end from him in particular. Pulled at the muscles in his jaw. The something there though, the finality beyond the endless haze; the silence of that mirror of water beneath their feet: kept him from pouring the instant rage out at him. “ Not very sure for that matter that I can; except to say that, if it is an illusion? It is very much one we share being caught in. And that I would very much like to escape myself. “

    “ ..why you keep looking at me like that? “

“ Because.. I don’t think it is. I still have that last memory with me. “ held tones too low and ideas too close to where he didn’t want this place to be for Tony to even try calling that out. He couldn’t stop looking around.

 Like something would change. Like the arches would somehow produce someone else with more answers, or at least better ones. Like the sun would finally set and take the mist in that deepening array of oranges with it and stars might follow.

The more he looked though, the more it sunk in he couldn’t even see a hint of a horizon. “ What about you..? “ The longer he fidgeted fixing his weight from one foot to the other the more aware he became that as much of it as there was, he should hear that water or feel it at least a little under his feet.

  And there was that heat gone out of his arm “ ..do you remember, Anthony? “ yanked his brown eyes to silvery blue ones that; sounded off as low as the wave of Loki’s tones, looking for confirmation rather than the details of the answer.

    He remembered. And getting where Loki was, and where he was; the look on his face must have been enough. The most out of place, fractured smile kicked across that face to pitch out those uneven dimples of his, up at the archway like he couldn’t even meet it.

    “ I see. “ Was that a reflection? “ Telling you in New York seemed pointless. Too late, then. But I suppose the want to tell you anyway might be why I’ve been waiting here after all, even then. “ Was his head playing more tricks on him or were his eyes wet? “ We met before then, you know; you and I. “

   “ Oh yeah? Since when..? Pretty sure I woulda remembered that. “

“ I don’t think you would remember, any of it. It was a long, time ago. And you were: “ a laugh? He could laugh at pulling his leg like this? In this place and situation? “ You were a different man. And it was a different lifetime, for you. I suppose; if this was where you were going in all those spaces in between: I should, eventually join you here. At some point, eh? If, we were to be fair about it all. “

     “ You aren’t making any goddamned sense. “ Because bullshit even if his wildest thoughts were still trying to put it together. That kind of thing wasn’t real, wasn’t possible, was it.

        “ ..no, I suppose it wouldn’t for you. But almost none of it since I met you has really. Now that you’re here, I imagine.. we’ll find out one way or another where this is, and what we’re doing here. “ the shrug was almost as close to pissing Tony off as the smile was...

    “ Yeah? What makes you say that. “

  “ Don’t know. I’ve been waiting a long time. Didn’t know what for. “ had Tony swallowing. The feel of the place. This conversation, was getting to him. “ You are the first person I’ve seen since. And that makes sense to me, I suppose... “

Bopping this brief stretching of the muses limbs out there because I wanna and because I want to lock in the imagery, muses brief brushing show; and the overall feel in my head while it’s still fresh.

Yep; Frostiron.

This is one universe I planned to touch next for the platovember Bonuses; and another one besides the 4Kings that’s very developed and has a VERY specific theme. I am betting you can guess what that theme is and where the story starts just reading that, though.

Serious moment, because: This quote. So much of this quote, that people forget, about themselves and others and admittedly I try to push into my fics too. No person, is any one thing. We aren’t a piece of paper, or something that can be so easily defined on it even. If that were the case, philosophers and writers alike could easily put down their pens and say ‘that’s it, its all been said’.  You aren’t just ‘x’ and that’s it, and neither is the person next in line, beside, or in front of you.

I’m a daughter, a sister, a lover, a writer, an artist, a former cancer patient, a pansexual, a shakespeare nut, natural science nerd, comic enthusiast, media addict, and so much more. And though the titles do vary from person to person, so are you. Labels have a purpose yes, but they lose their place when we concentrate too hard on the label and not enough on the person wearing them and what that means, or where it fits in their or our own lives. The more you live and learn and grow, the more you can see even of yourself and add to what and who you are. Which is also affected by your surroundings, your experiences and influences even outside your immediate reach.

That, doesn’t fit on any two dimensional piece of paper in it’s whole: and is why writers and philosophers will be a thing til the day we wink out a as species.

If we have anything to compare ourselves to, I still think and believe that a very strange and very beautiful and sometimes scary gemstone is the closest we get to well, us. If you choose to look at it from one direction only, then yes: that’s all you’ll ever see. But if you follow (from DREAMS for instance) Laufeyson’s instructions and turn the gem, or step away from and change the point of view from which you see it, yourself and others: you will always see something new because of this. Good or bad, or something else in between, if not completely outside of that spectrum.

For DREAMS, that is one of the main lines, challenges and point of that story: and one of the founding reasons and over-existing dialogues --long winded and otherwise-- and reasons for going at Lokiverse as a whole from more than just one to four perspectives is important to me.. and is not likely to change anytime in the near future.

Feeling like you fit in is great. But losing your individuality in the process isn’t. Anyone who says otherwise .. sorry, not sorry: they’re full of it.

So after all that crap I just spewed, Imma just say it: Conformity at this level is for chumps. Just don’t.

Be you.

You’ll be happier and healthier for it in the long run, just as a start.

Sideswiped (Hope)

After getting the crap knocked out of them by Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian in the process of trying to defend the Time Stone, Tony and Peter end up stowing away on the giant flying donut that passes for their ship in the hopes of keeping Strange alive and the rock out of Thanos' hands. Making a plan turns half sideways though; when Team Trouble shows up to well, stab the donut.. literally.

Is that even possible? How do you stab a metal donut that big..? Also.. there's kind of people in there Peter.

lol.... the guys usually leave this kind of roast to my Tony muses. Because most of them have the same response. Which is as follows:

“ Regardless the current canon ship, I really believe that he would be good to any character you wish to ship him with.  “ Is ...pretty much that other tied reason for #1 that I started to write Lokiverse’s drafts out about three years ago for (gawd.. it’s been that long; scurry); feeling the same way about Loki.

For his part from our direction though; it isn’t that he is dependent on love; but more when it comes to that ; that he craves it even -while- distrusting it, and for him: it’s as much being the defiant creature he is when he comes to accept that claiming it is as much a defiance of Odin’s (and others) reinforcement that he is not worthy of that love and more.

And, that is a concept that; I think most characters (especially of a heroic nature) can understand, sympathize against reinforcing: and sometimes, if not often enough: find the opportunity to catch themselves loving him in the process of doing just that, and pointing out his better traits in the process of finding them to do so. If not, simply having them shoved in their faces and made to see them through other means and circumstances.

Stephen Strange? Especially in the MCU? Absolutely capable of this as a partner; given time like any other: and maybe one of his best matches in my head-canon because of that above matching up with Stephen’s very accurately noted dependency, their shared intellect, their status as sorcerers, and their shared  pragmatism when the real chips hit the table and big decisions have to be made.

Hurdles to overcome in their relationship? Of course, there are in any relationship; and especially in any story worth telling. But.. it’s those same hurdles once over them, that often make a relationship stronger.

I touch on different relationships with Strange a LOT in Lokiverse, for that reason and quite a few more. It’s hard to have an MCU Multiverse series like Lokiverse running and in your head without Stephen Strange involved after all, especially after he steps into the Sorcerer Supreme title.

Anyways. They’re both simple but very complex characters, who I absolutely adore.

Do I have favorites to write for? Yeah, definitely and not going to ever deny that but: I try not to limit myself to just those because I know this: and because I’ve already found two in writing them out and examining the characters that I didn’t expect almost limiting myself even at that level before. FrostIron and Cosmic-Frostiron (tony/loki/stephen) included in that list. (For me LoHawk [now called Frosthawk by most everybody], StarGod and a few others were my top faves prior: and still hold high to that awkward sorta-listing.)

But yeah, rambling again at this stage so imma shut it again. XD

I’ve never been comfortable with opening myself up about Stephen’s ships on tumblr. Mostly because I tend to avoid discourse and ship wars. To be honest, I still feel insecure about posting this.

And still, even though I try my hardest to keep it quiet, I still manage to read some things that are quite hurtful, especially towards Stephen.

I get it, I get it. People don’t like Stephen, only Vishanti knows why. So they tend to shut him down or despise him.

I need to get it off my chest. Stephen is a very sweet person. He’s really broken and full of flaws, but that’s precisely what makes him such a great, deep character. He’s really trying his best and he’s a man who is very dependent on love. I wrote tons of articles about his personality. So whatever reason you despise him, you really need to read more comics.

Regardless the current canon ship, I really believe that he would be good to any character you wish to ship him with. Not asking validation or anything like that, I’m just not in a very good place right now. And the fact that I’m trying to cope with something that makes me happy, that is, shipping him with your fave, and somehow it bothers you for no reason at all, doesn’t do me any favors.

Stephen deserves so much love. If he’s happy, then all is fine. If you want to learn more about him, know that I’m always willing to spend hours talking about him. But if he bothers you? Excuse me but I won’t shut up about the things that warm my heart.
