From a local park-

I had to stop by a local park as I was on the way back from Walmart. I wanted to see if there were more decorations added to this tree. 🌲

The municipal workers were out in the freezing wind, removing Christmas lights from other areas. This tree is one of a couple pine trees where residents have added decorations. Those ornaments will stay there all year long, even in the summer. Nobody messes with them. 🙂

I was freezing my ass off out there, so I didn’t do any path walking today. 🥶

On a late afternoon walk in our municipal park, I was lucky enough to come across this scene.

A year ago, this photo would not have been possible. Where I was standing when I made this image would have been covered in more pines, but the derecho wind that swept through South Eastern Ontario in the summer of 2022 blew over a whole swath of trees there to create this clearing. You can still see some of the pine leaning over since their crowns got entangled with neighbouring trees.

Recently, I took my DYU ebike on an adventure through the local park. The weather was perfect, and I felt the wind in my hair as I zoomed past the beautiful scenery. The electric assistance made it effortless to conquer hills, and I felt a sense of freedom like never before. I even met some fellow e-bike enthusiasts along the way, and we exchanged tips on maximizing our rides.

One of the best parts? The smiles on people's faces as they watched me glide by. It’s amazing how an e-bike can turn a simple ride into a delightful experience. I can't wait to plan my next trip!
