I really love the symbolism in Liv's Empyrea outfit with her resembling an angel sent to help humanity and provide a sense of hope.

They even put the imagery with her descending from the skies towards a church, with the setting shrouded in darkness while Liv is the embodiment of the light shining in the skies, and it looks like she's radiating it to provide a sense of hope and salvation.

But then you look into her eyes, and their pink colour is gone. And they match the white of the rest of the outfit, but in contrast, they look lifeless and like a far cry from the sense of hope the rest of the outfit brings, pretty much reflecting the hidden struggles and the consequences of Liv using this frame at her own expense.

In many traditions, eyes are said to be windows to the soul. And in Liv's soul, there's just pain, sadness and torment now.

Liv is absolutely my precious baby in PGR. She's just so sweet and empathetic, and she wants to be strong enough to support the Grey Ravens. It's fitting that Empyrea/Solaeter (these names are so cool) was the first amplifier to be released. Her side story was what really got me into the character because it was the kind of story that I enjoy reading about.

Honestly, Liv feels like the type of person to love everybody since she's so compassionate, but there's a special place in her heart for Lucia and the Commandant.

A lot of characters in PGR have such serious looking eyes that it actually makes Hamea's look ridiculously big, like.. yes, she does have large rounded eyes but it just seems emphasized compared to the cast

Plume Lucia's eyes have a nice purple shading in her mermaid skin, I think I actually under-represented that here

Hyperreal Lee's eyes are the sharpest out of the 8

Liv's eyes are usually rounder except for Solaeter frame but I'd also get sad coloring her eyes gray

Camu's eyes are pretty much a triangle with how much he furrows his brows

His eyes are also darker than Kamui's with only the basic reflections... I do that as him slowly working towards being happy with Gray Raven and Strike Hawk 💜

Chrome's eyes are a lot closer to silver than blue in his Glory frame than I realized

Kamui's eye shape is the same as Camu's, he's just not scowling lolol

Wanshi's eyes are probably 2nd in terms of how diamond shaped they are, he also has nice eyelashes—

I'm just thinking about how much Liv's colour palette contrasts against so much of PGR's setting being so dark and gloomy. She basically embodies the light she tries to bring into the world, with her pink and white colours standing out like a beacon in the dark night.

Then there's this artwork of her vision of earth, which for once is in lighter colours, but Liv herself is in shadows. This reflects her vision of a better world even if it comes at the cost of losing herself, whether in terms of her M.I.N.D breaking or even her death.

I'll never be able to express just how much I love Liv and Surviving Lucem, goddamn it.

Can I just say, Surviving Lucem is the peak of PGR's writing.

PGR was always about exploring the ugly effects of war, but this took it to a whole new level. It was so dark beyond any other storyline till date. And for me, the most painful chapter to get through, even more than Kowloong Metropolis.

And Liv . . . my favourite character, Liv, oh my god. The way she stepped up to risk herself even if she could spend a few hours only to save people . . . she truly is the definition of a soldier.

And the ending. You can't call it happy. Or sad. It's perfectly bittersweet and a perfect ending for any PGR storyline.
