Summary:

How Lu Su and Zhuge Liang got their daily exercise one day in 208 AD:

Lu Mengmeng: running around (literally) to put out (metaphorical) fires between Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang to keep the tenuous anti-Cao Cao alliance going

Zhuge Liang: calm and collected most of the time but immediately lost his shit and sprinted towards a murder banquet to save Liu Bei (who ended up not needing any saving)

We begin with Zhuge Liang standing by the river all calm and collected.

Lu Mengmeng, sprinting towards Liang Liang: “Mister Zhuge!!!!!”

Liang Liang, concerned: “What happened?”

Mengmeng, panting heavily: “Nothing”

Liang Liang is immediately suspicious.

Lu Su finally tells him that Zhou Yu prepared a murder banquet for Liu Bei. Liang Liang, now in full panic mode upon hearing that Liu Bei is in danger, sprints wildly towards said banquet in a panic! And poor Mengmeng, who had just sprinted over from Zhou Yu’s camp, is struggling to keep up. Bei Bei in the meantime is looking very fine in formalwear at said banquet and completely unaware of the murder plot cooking in front of him.

Liang Liang, upon arriving at the scene and seeing that Liu Bei is accompanied by Guan Yu, visibly relaxes, resumes his calm and collected demeanor again, and even takes out a handkerchief to wipe off the sweat on his face (such a cute detail!)

Liang Liang, starts dragging Mengmeng away from the scene: “Nothing to worry about now” ☺️

Status: Canon

Description: Wu Zetian and Gao Yizhi know each other prior to the start of the events in the book, and are in love with each other, but for a number of different reasons, Zetian refuses to act on it, constantly convincing herself he doesn’t actually like her. Zetian leaves to become a concubine pilot, and after some major events, is paired up with Li Shimin, the most powerful pilot and also considered the most dangerous. Their relationship develops from one of distrust to love due to the strong bond they share from piloting the same mecha (and learning more about each other). Yizhi comes back into Zetian’s life and joins the two of them, firstly under the excuse of helping Shimin deal with his alcoholism. It’s very clear from their first meeting that Yizhi is attracted to Shimin, and eventually the three of them become a triangle polycule.

Tree Trunks/Mr. Pig/Alien Husband

Status: Canon

Description: Throughout the episode in which Alien Husband is in, Tree Trunks sends hints for wanting this type of relationship. Mr Pig at first was uncomfortable, but by the end he is fine with Tree Trunks being with him and Alien Husband. Also, Tree Trunks has an adopted kid with Mr Pig (Sweet P) and with Alien Husband (Unnamed Children).
