When All the Work is Finished (Part 2: PrapaiSky)
Summary: What's the best way to unwind after weeks of hard work? Rain and Sky skip the monthly races to finish some homework, but when Prapai and Payu go back to their respective homes, they find something very unexpected.
* While this is a "Part 2", it is wholly standalone from Part 1 Part 1 (PayuRain)

Part 2: PrapaiSky
This chapter references some canon from the LITA Special Novel (where Prapai travels to Germany for work and has a phone sex session with Sky), and leans in to the language used in that as well as the Love Sky novel, where Prapai is often referred to as "young man" and Sky as "boy".
Something was off with Rain.
He was quieter than usual, more withdrawn. When Sky showed up at Payu’s house to pick him up, his mind seemed to be elsewhere. They sat at a café to go over their year-end projects and share ideas, but Rain was distracted. And he made Sky sit with his back to the street, as if he were nervous about something.
“Are you going to tell me what’s going on, or do I have to guess?” Sky sighed.
“Nothing,” Rain said quickly. “What type of roof should I go with for the abandoned building redevelopment projects? I was assigned the library, so I was thinking-”
His words died out as Sky raised an eyebrow.
“Sky, it’s nothing… Don’t-”
Sky turned around and stared out the window of the café. He scanned the first floor of the shops along the street, then looked up at the second, third levels. A bit further down the block was a sign advertising the opening of…
Sigh.
“Rain, come on. Let’s go.”
“No!” Rain tried to snatch Sky’s wrist as his friend stood up and finished the last swallow of his tea. He scrambled after Sky, increasingly embarrassed and desperate. “Sky, I can look online, I don’t want to go!”
“Yes, you do.” Sky ignored him and glanced both ways before crossing the street. He walked towards the sign with purpose, though… he honestly had no idea what to expect.
“SKY, STOP.”
“Nope.”
Sky led the way upstairs to the second floor of the building and past another sign advertising the opening of… a sex toy shop.
After Rain found out about Sky’s past, there were certain topics he was very careful to avoid. Sky had been honest with him, as he was with Prapai, and told his best friend everything he felt strong enough to say. Including that his ex would force him using toys.
Apparently, Rain took that to mean that sex toys were a wholly forbidden topic.
“Have you been buying lube from a regular store all this time?” Sky asked with a snort.
Rain nodded.
“How boring.”
Honestly, Sky only ever bought it from a regular store too, but Rain looked like he was about to bolt the opposite direction, so he deliberately misled his friend. Sky wasn’t sure what might happen if he walked inside the store, truth be told. He didn’t know if the sight of some toys might bring back bad memories.
But he refused to be afraid of what might happen. Besides…
‘You will never see either of them again in this lifetime. We failed to secure the venue properly that night. The matter has been settled, with Mr. Pakin’s personal apology.’
The first race Sky attended after everything happened, Prapai left Sky under the hawkish gaze of Payu and Rain. Sky felt like he could barely breathe without the two monitoring him, and their attention only eased when Chai appeared.
A guard asked Payu a question, Rain was distracted, and Chai said those words just loudly enough for Sky- and Sky alone- to hear.
Sky’s memories of that particular race were fractured at best, but he knew Prapai made a deal with Chai and Pakin. He knew what was promised, and what that promise meant. He also knew the implication of Chai’s words- the matter was settled with Pakin’s apology.
It meant… Prapai would owe them no debt.
That was the first race Sky or Prapai attended in three months. For three months, Prapai was never called on to race and uphold his end of a deal. So releasing him without a penny paid, it was beyond generous.
‘Thank you.’
That was all Sky said back, and he meant it. He thought it should probably bother him more to know that someone died, even if it was those two assholes. But… it was liberating somehow. He didn’t feel as anxious. Between that and the warmth Prapai drowned him in each and every day, Sky was finally able to put a glass wall between himself and the past.
He never forgot, he never shoved those memories down the way he had before, but they couldn’t reach him. The nightmares were rare, and Prapai was close.
So… he went with Rain through the opaque door and into the shop.
“Welcome,” the person behind the counter was neither male nor female, but they were painfully beautiful. They were perhaps around Prapai’s age, maybe a little older, and had long, loose black linen pants with a white halter that showed off a well-toned body. Their narrow face and big eyes were accented by the silver web of chain that sat upon their completely shaved and smooth head.
Sky always imagined a toy shop as being dark and dirty, the people working there no different from his ex in terms of appearance… But they had a reassuring face, honest and open and friendly. The shop itself was brightly lit and smelled of lavender. It was perfectly clean, the only mystique being in the high shelves that were angled in ways to make it difficult to see anyone who might be shopping unless they were at the wide, spacious counter.
Rain and Sky both bowed their heads in a quick greeting. Rain’s ears were bright red, and Sky thought his might be the same. It was no different an atmosphere than he expected to find at any regular shop, and so completely different from what he’d imagined. It was almost jarring to spy a large display of dildos in every size and color imaginable down a far aisle.
“Picking up,” someone came in behind them, and Sky herded Rain down a random aisle to give the man some privacy. Well… ‘man’ made him sound older than he was. He was big with broad shoulders and a mischievous smirk, but on second glance, he couldn’t have been older than Rain and Sky. Or if he was, it could only be a year difference at most.
The man was handsome enough, in a rough and wild way, and seemed somewhat out of place in the city. His long shorts and the print shirt open over a white tank top looked more suited to a beach.
Sky couldn’t help the voice in his head that pointed out Prapai was bigger, broader, and more handsome. He missed his lover so badly that he couldn’t help but compare every man he saw to the obnoxious giant… the one he’d do anything to hold.
“Here you go,” the person at the counter immediately fetched a nondescript brown bag and handed it over. “And Mut, please tell Mr. Tongrak that my husband and I both appreciate him allowing us to open this shop here.”
Sky tuned out the conversation as the man chatted with the person behind the counter, trying to focus instead on what was in front of him.
“There are… this many kinds?” Rain whispered, eyes wide.
The aisle had dozens of types of lube. So much that Sky felt immediately overwhelmed. There were so many options- too many options. And why did some bottles look the same, but were in entirely different places?
“Maybe we should… start somewhere else.” Sky said.
Rain immediately walked to the end of the aisle furthest from the door and was about to head for the next one when he suddenly turned around and herded Sky in the opposite direction, “We can look here first.”
“Let me see,” Sky dodged Rain’s arm and went to look at what Rain wanted to hide.
This wall was broken by a door, one that was currently wide open. Signs outside the door advertised ‘intimate’ piercings, and a young Thai man was walking out with a tall and well built foreigner, a silver hoop through each of the young man’s bright-red nipples visible as the foreigner helped gently pull down an oversized shirt. The younger clearly was the one to get the piercings, but the older man seemed to be the one in the most pain.
“Sky-”
“I’m okay,” Sky said, and… he genuinely meant it. Rain knew nothing about the circumstances of his piercings, only that when he, Payu, and Prapai arrived at the condo that night, Sky had two rings in his chest.
“I didn’t have it done professionally,” Sky said after a moment, watching the big man fussing over his younger boyfriend. “I wanted them at the time, but it hurt a lot more than it would have in a place like this. And they took a long time to heal. You think it’s like these,” he touched one of his earrings, “but it isn’t. It took about seven months for me. But… he didn’t give it time to heal, either. If it had time, maybe it would be faster.”
His ex would yank at the rings, even when the piercings were fresh and at their most painful.
“You’d probably like having them,” Sky offered, turning to Rain. “Once they’re healed, it’s really not much different from earrings.”
Sky wandered down the next aisle, leaving the sight of the couple behind.
“I asked P’Payu about it once,” Rain said, a bit unsettled by Sky’s words but willing to go along with the conversation. “He said he doesn’t mind either way if I get them or not, but if it takes that long to heal, he might have an opinion.”
“If I had them done now- if I didn’t have them before, I mean, I think it would send P’Pai into a depression,” Sky chuckled. The thought of Prapai having to avoid his nipples for any amount of time brought a genuine smile to Sky’s lips.
He’d felt a little dizzy after what he said to Rain, the small piece of his past he offered up, but picturing Prapai hearing that Sky’s nipples were off limits for months on end helped chase that away.
The young man who’d had his chest pierced had looked relieved, anxious, and happy. He was cute, definitely the same age as both Rain and Sky, and the piercings suited his form. Sky hoped it healed quickly and he enjoyed having them. His companion would no doubt pamper and fuss over them until they were healed.
Both boys felt a bit braver as they wandered the second aisle. There were signs here and there advising people to speak to the staff if they had any questions or wanted recommendations. The person at the counter never left their post, unless someone called from the depths of the store. No pressure, no one hovering, no embarrassment.
Still, it felt a bit awkward to browse sex toys with Rain, so Sky left him in an aisle filled with various light restraints and wandered to the back on his own. The further he went, the more imposing the toys became. Collars with nipple clamps attached- including one that looked too much like what Sky had been made to wear at one point. The long, thin bits of silicone that could be slid into the opening of his most sensitive part to elicit some of the worst pain- or most shameful pleasure.
And still, he felt nothing. The memories had no power over him at all. Not so long as he pictured Prapai’s face.
The absence of fear made Sky feel stronger, and he found himself wandering through aisles of vibrators and cock rings with a smile on his face. He even started to wonder if he should maybe find something for when Prapai came home. What kind of welcome would he least expect to receive?
He grabbed a small box off of a shelf and eyed it for a long time, then worked up the courage to enter several aisles of fine lingerie. Prapai had made enough little comments here and there that Sky started to form a bit of a plan at least. He crossed back and forth between different sections, mixing and matching and changing his mind until the concept became a bit clearer.
And then on the back wall he saw…
It would be more expensive than he normally felt comfortable with. Sky had money, he filled his time while Prapai was gone tutoring here and there, and since the condo was taken care of- and Prapai still sent him food even from overseas- he had plenty to cover the cost…
Sky took a tag from the wall below what he was eyeing, then a couple more, changed his mind on the lingerie at least four more times, and then made his way to the front. He could feel the small smile tugging at his lips as he pictured the scene he would set, and the reaction it was sure to get.
“Would you like anything else?” the person behind the counter scanned the tags Sky brought up before starting on the other things he grabbed.
Sky was feeling brave, so he said, “The l- the lube section. I don’t- there are a lot.”
“There are,” they nodded. “It’s a bit overwhelming, right?”
“Yes,” he admitted.
They came out from behind the counter and walked with him to the aisle. “So, first, allergies?”
“No.”
“Is this for you to only use yourself, or-”
“I have a boyfriend.”
“Do you two use condoms?”
“N- not anymore. We’ve both been tested, it’s alright-” he suddenly felt flustered. The hospital had done a blood test after he was attacked in High School. From that point, the only other man he slept with was Prapai, who wore a condom. Sky asked Prapai to take him for another blood test after the second attack, and Prapai got one too while they were there. Though, Prapai swore he had a blood test done when he decided to pursue Sky anyway.
“I only asked because it can impact the type of lube you get. You’re both very smart for getting tested. What kind of toys do you use, beyond what you’re getting today?” They scanned the section, adjusting some boxes to return them to the right spot or pull displays forward. Not directly looking at Sky, giving the shy boy a bit of space to answer.
“We don’t have any others,” Sky admitted.
They turned back with a smile, “Then it’s easy. You can get just about anything- that toy you picked comes in all material options, so if there was something you liked, it’d be simple to swap. With lube you have to match the type to the material of the condom or toy- never forget that. The section is divided-” they pointed to strips of black on the shelf that did indeed split the lube section into three parts.
“We only use regular stuff,” Sky scanned the shelves and found the type he and Prapai kept on hand. It was the most common, never sold out, carried in almost every shop near the condoms.
“Can I ask a few very personal questions?” they said, “Or would you like to stick with what you’re familiar with?”
“It’s fine,” Sky didn’t really feel comfortable talking about his sex life with Prapai, but he wanted to surprise him, and he needed help.
“Oral- do you or he ever eat the lube?”
“Y-yes.” Sky could feel his ears burning.
“Are either of you going for particularly intense or frequent climaxes?”
“He- I usually… more… He…” Sky’s courage vanished entirely.
“He likes to get you off more often?” they asked without a hint of judgement.
Sky’s ears were burning red as he nodded.
“So, these are our flavored lubes on this row,” they indicated an eye-level shelf. It was mostly the same flavors in each type of lube, with a few differences here and there. “The ones on this shelf down here will increase or decrease sensitivity, if you want to make it easier or harder for him. We only carry heavily tested and reputable brands, everything here is safe,” they pointed to another set of shelves. “If you put them on him directly, it can make it easier or harder for him to climax too.” They stepped back, “If you want any flavor samples, just ask. We keep little individual taste test samples at the front counter. With the toy you picked out, these two sections are your best options, but again, if you want something from a different shelf, we can swap the toy for the same thing, same price, different material.”
With that, they left Sky alone to make his decision.
Once he knew the pattern to the section, it was a bit less overwhelming. Though, there were still too many choices. Did he want to make it harder for Prapai to cum? Or make it harder for his body to resist it? Or did he want something flavored?
Nervous, Sky picked a bottle of slightly flavored lube. It was supposed to be floral in some way, which seemed odd, but the food flavored ones… Sky didn’t particularly want his hole to smell like strawberries or coconut.
“Would you like a sample?” they asked as they scanned his purchase.
“Y-yes please,” Sky was stammering again.
He thought they might have a bottle behind the counter or something, but they only reached down and handed him a small packet no bigger than the pad of his thumb. It had a miniature of the logo on the bottle.
Sky tore the corner and shyly brought it to his mouth. There were only a few drops inside, but it was enough to taste. The faint rose flavor wasn’t overpowering like he expected. It was… kind of nice. He wasn’t sure if Prapai would like it, but he didn’t mind the taste.
“Like it?”
“I think so,” Sky smiled a bit and deposited the empty packet in a small trash holder on the counter.
“This types will work with the toy you brought up, so if you want to try others, just stick to the same material and section of lube, okay?” They put the box he’d taken from the shelf into the bag with the lube.
“Okay. Thank you for your help.”
“You are welcome,” they flashed a bright grin. “The tagged items will take a couple weeks to get in, is that alright?”
“Yes, that’s fine.” Sky was handed an invoice for those. He wrote his cell phone number and other information on the line, then paid.
Then Rain came up…
With what looked like half the store in his arms.
“Tagged items take two weeks, is that alright?” The person behind the counter blinked a few times at the pile Rain deposited, but hid their surprise very quickly.
“That’s okay. Can I store it at your house, Sky? P’Payu is really busy with work the next few weeks, and we’ll have finals… I think I want to surprise him with this after the next party!” Rain used their code word for Pakin’s races.
The day Prapai returned home. Sky was closely counting down to it- he even put an app on his phone that displayed the time until Prapai’s plane would land. If there were no delays.
“I can ring this up now and hold it here until your order comes in,” the person behind the counter offered. “This-” they indicated a long dildo that made Sky’s eyes go wide, “-is a display model, we sold out the next two shipments already, but we’ll have more in around three weeks. I can put a reservation in for one of them if you’d like?”
“Three weeks is perfect!” Rain said quickly. “What day?”
“We usually get shipments in on Thursday evenings, at the latest, Friday morning.”
“Perfect!” Rain said again.
Sky stared at the pile of restraints, clamps, gags, and lube as the person behind the counter began scanning everything.
He’d never asked about Rain and Payu’s sex life, but seeing everything Rain was buying…
Suddenly, Sky felt like the inexperienced one of the two.

Three weeks later
---
Prapai’s day was taking way too long to live through.
First, he was delayed in Germany for several hours by storms, so by the time the fourteen-hour flight landed, he’d already been awake for an entire day. He tried to sleep on the flight, but his body wouldn’t cooperate. Every mile the plane flew was a mile closer to Sky.
He was picked up at the airport by Chai, who brought him straight to Pakin’s legal racetrack. The law-abiding half of Pakin’s empire was courting investors from London, and Prapai was the shiny toy he handed over for them to play with in the form of a motorcycle racing lesson.
Prapai helped the six men gear up, taught them how to handle the lower-grade superbikes Payu’s garage had sent, and spent hours riding 1:1 races. He won each of them, of course, but only by small margins. Enough to make it believable- compared to these men, Prapai was a professional after all- yet allow them some room to brag.
When he first agreed to this, he assumed he would have slept on the plane and had a few hours at home to unwind while Sky was in class. Not that he’d be whisked away by Chai the moment he stepped off, or that he would be running on an empty tank from the start.
Prapai bid his farewells in late afternoon, and Chai took him over to Payu’s garage. Prapai didn’t come empty-handed- Payu spent three months babying his beloved bike, so the least Prapai could do was bring food (and a couple bottles of very expensive German whiskey).
“Clothes,” Saifah tossed some jeans and a t-shirt at Payu’s face as Prapai walked in. “Rain’s car is having issues. I’ll have it towed over tomorrow and take a look.”
Payu made a face and whipped out his phone to text his small boyfriend.
“Hey-” a moment later, Payu held up his phone to show Prapai a picture Rain had sent. The main focus was Rain’s own model, but he could see Sky on the other half of the frame.
Just the sight of him, brow furrowed in concentration, was enough to make Prapai’s heart ache.
“They almost done?” He could never tell, but Payu had done all the same projects before. If Sky’s work ran long and he didn’t get to hold him tonight, Prapai might very well show up at his professor’s house with a bag of money and bribe him to change the deadline.
His need for Sky was beyond physical after months apart.
“If they rush… Maybe four hours,” Payu looked the picture over with a practiced eye. “But if they go a comfortable pace, they’ll be done around the time the race starts.”
Prapai pulled out his phone and sent a quick text to Sky.
[Finish quickly and go take a nap. I’ll lick you awake when I get home.]
Whatever text Payu received from Rain, he abandoned the table immediately and rushed to the bathroom.
Saifah slid a bowl of food in front of Prapai and he was about to take his first real bite of Thai food in three months when his own phone chimed- a picture from Sky of just one perfect nipple.
“God damn!” Prapai slammed his bowl down onto the table and overturned his chair getting up. Payu was in the main floor bathroom, so Prapai stormed up to the one in the small apartment overlooking the garage.
“Wash your hands when you’re done, perverts!” Saifah yelled loudly enough for both men to hear.
---
---
Sky waited for Prapai to come home, impatient and anxious.
It had nothing to do with what he’d bought at the store, it had nothing to do with the sex at all.
Three months. They’d been apart for three months. Sure, they chatted most days, sent messages, and arranged video chats when the loneliness became too strong-including one time when Prapai called to watch Sky finger himself- but still, three months.
Prapai was nearby all night, or at least he was in the same city. He had to race, he’d promised Pakin he would be there months ago, but Sky wanted him home. He wanted to hear Prapai’s heartbeat and feel their skin pressed against each other. To hear his voice in person, not through a phone.
Sky didn’t have to use his excuse to avoid the race. He and Rain took pictures while they worked on their projects furiously the week before, but that was always more for Rain’s benefit. Prapai was the one who asked Sky not to come, if only because he really did need to race. It wasn’t idle flirting when he said that if Sky were there, he’d drag him into one of the bike trailers and stay there all night.
Sky might even be the one doing the dragging.
But as the night turned towards dawn, Sky was growing more and more impatient. He prepared his surprise hours early, and kept adjusting and perfecting teeny details. At one point, he caught himself combing the bed for individual specks of lint.
Prapai’s text that the race had ended and he was on his way home only made Sky’s condition worse. He was angry with time for not passing at a normal speed, and began pacing the condo furiously until he remembered the display he wanted Prapai to come in to.
Sky heard a faint sound from the hallway outside of their front door and bolted for the bedroom, his heart that had been racing all day now hammering in his chest. He closed the door and practically pounced on the bed, quickly adjusting himself.
That happened only five minutes after Prapai sent the message, and was probably just the condo’s night guard doing his usual rounds.
Sky was going insane.
---
---
While Prapai was entertaining Pakin’s guests at the race track, Chai dropped his luggage off with the receptionist at the condo. After the night’s races were finished, there was only one thing Prapai wanted more than to just ride straight off the end of the track and speed all the way home to his Sky:
A shower.
Even though his office was on the way home, it was a kind of torture for Prapai to steer his bike to the underground garage and run into the elevator.
The need to be with Sky had long since turned into a steady ache in his chest, but now his heart was burning. Still, Prapai had very specific plans for what would happen the moment he saw Sky again, and it involved licking every inch of his body- and being licked in turn.
But he had been racing for a combined six hours that day, plus the fourteen-hour flight from Germany and everything in between.
Because he loved Sky, he wouldn’t resist pouncing the moment he entered his apartment. But also because he loved Sky, he wouldn’t subject him to the layers of sweat and general grime that covered his body.
There was a bathroom with a shower in the executive offices, and when his flight was delayed, Prapai had called ahead to have Plerng drop off a change of clothes and some toiletries on his desk. Prapai didn’t even care if the water was hot or cold when he turned on the shower, he only cared about how efficiently he could scrub every inch of his body, and how fast he could get back down to his bike.
In all, sixteen minutes from the moment he left his bike to the moment he returned.
Prapai slammed the helmet onto his wet hair and started up the bike, barely taking the time to check the road as he raced out of the garage and turned home. The pain in his chest eased the second he could see his condo building peeking out between two towers.
“Mr. Prapai, Mr. Panachai dropped off your luggage. Just a moment.” The guard who monitored the garage entrance immediately produced a key to the storage room and reappeared with his suitcases within seconds.
It took everything in him to politely wait for the bags to be passed into his care, sign the slip attesting that he collected them personally, and walk to the elevator. Well, he didn’t exactly walk.
Was the elevator always so slow?
Was the hallway always so long?
Prapai breathed in the familiar scent of the building and felt the stress and exhaustion slowly melting away. Once he was in his home and had his head buried in Sky’s neck, everything would be right in the world. All he needed was to feel Sky’s heartbeat and smell his hair.
Why am I shaking?
His hands were starting to tremble as he reached the door and put the key into the lock. It became hard to breathe all of a sudden, and he felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest.
Prapai opened the door.
The apartment was empty, dark, and quiet, but that was never where he was going to find Sky. Prapai shoved his bags in the direction of the large kitchen near the door and kicked his shoes off. He walked quickly towards the closed bedroom door, his mouth watering at the warm light sneaking through the edges.
Sky was awake, and waiting for him.
Prapai already felt himself hardening as he opened the door.
…
He died.
He must have died.
It- it wasn’t fair. Sky would have been waiting all day, excited to see him, and Prapai must have died the moment he opened the door.
Because if he didn’t die, the sight in front of him made no sense. If it wasn’t heaven, then he was hallucinating.
Sky was sitting on top of the bed. His legs were each folded to one side, his arms straight down, looking like some shy little creature with a slight pout on those perfect pink lips that Prapai wanted to devour.
If it was just that, Prapai could accept that he still had a heartbeat.
Sky was wearing Prapai’s favorite red leather racing jacket hanging off his narrow shoulders, but it was far too big for his slender frame. The sleeves covered most of his hands, leaving only the tips of his fingers to poke out.
If it was just that, Prapai could believe that he was alive.
But Sky had on-
Sky had on-
Prapai wasn’t even breathing as his brain struggled to process what it was seeing.
Beneath the red jacket, left open at the front, Sky was wearing…
He was wearing…
Spots flickered in his vision, and Prapai felt a very real pain in his chest. He forced himself to breathe.
Beneath the red leather jacket, there was a sheer lace halter that was barely large enough to cover his nipples, not that it was meant to. The lace was parted at the center of each triangle to expose those perfect little pink rises for Prapai to bite and kiss without impediment.
Sky slowly raised himself off the bed, biting his lower lip in a way that winded Prapai once again. He forced his eyes to travel down. To see the matching black lace panties that were little more than whispers of fabric that pinned his already-hard member against his stomach, the tip sticking out the top and already smearing a clear liquid against his belly as it dripped.
He groaned at the sight, a long, low, hungry sound.
“P’Pai,” Sky whispered with a trembling voice, “Do you like it?”
Prapai found his legs for a moment. In just a few long strides, he crossed the room and slid onto the bed, wrapping his arms around Sky to pull him in close and tight. Sky grabbed on to Prapai and matched his desperation. He opened his mouth to receive the kiss that was not hungry or demanding, but gentle. Prapai’s tongue probed into his mouth, and he groaned in approval as Sky’s tongue danced against his.
Prapai broke the kiss for air here and there, but never for long. His mouth latched on to Sky’s, and he breathed fiercely through his nose, filling his mind with Sky’s smell. More perfect than he remembered, the true and complete smell of home.
“I missed you,” Prapai released Sky at long last to burrow his face into Sky’s neck. He didn’t bite or kiss, he just rested, wrapped in Sky’s arms.
“I missed you too, so much,” Sky whispered against his ear. He nuzzled into Prapai’s head, breathing in the freshly washed hair. The smell and taste and touch of Prapai home after so long.
Prapai held Sky for a long time, it was the only thing his brain could even consider doing right at that moment. He certainly had plans for that body- and the provoking outfit- but first… he needed to hold and smell and feel Sky. His perfect Sky.
“Do everything exactly the same,” he kissed Sky’s cheek and whispered in his ear. Without a second glance - for the sake of his own sanity - he climbed off the bed and hurried out of the room, closing the door once more.
He felt infinitely better after seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching Sky. His exhaustion and stress melted away, leaving only the excitement behind. There was something else in the room- his brain could at least register that something more had changed- but he couldn’t see anything beyond Sky… and that tight little outfit he had on.
Prapai clenched his fists to avoid rubbing at the growing ache in his pants. He waited a full minute before he turned back to the door and opened it again.
Sky was back, seated exactly where he had been before, raised up on his knees so Prapai could see the entire outfit. The too-large racing jacket hanging just off his shoulders, the lacy top and bottoms. The last couple centimeters of his hard cock peaking out of the band.
“Do you like it?” Sky even whispered the same words again, biting his lip and looking up at Prapai from beneath his dark lashes.
“You’re perfect,” Prapai whispered as he stepped into the room and walked to the foot of the bed. “You’re so fucking beautiful.” He let Sky crawl over to him, and stood still as Sky rose to meet him eye to eye, his soft little hands stroking the muscles of Prapai’s stomach through his shirt. A flicker of surprise- this time, Sky noticed they were bigger than they’d been.
Well, he was away for three months and had no appetite for clubbing or enjoying Germany’s nightlife without a boyfriend by his side. Prapai burned his excess energy at the hotel gym, and only went out once or twice a week with various people from the office to be polite.
Sky loved to feel and kiss and bite at Prapai’s muscles, why not use their time apart to prepare a treat? Prapai’s body was hard in all the places Sky could want him to be hard.
“Nong Sky remembers his promise to Phi,” Sky was slightly breathless, his chin dipped as he looked up into Prapai’s burning eyes. He felt the hitch in Prapai’s breath. The one time Sky let Prapai watch him finger himself over the video chat, he’d been so deliriously horny that he used filthy language with Prapai, language he usually avoided.
And then he’d promised to use it again when they met in person.
Honestly, Sky felt kind of stupid wearing the lingerie. He didn’t have the body to make it look good, and he wasn’t entirely sure it was the style Prapai would even like. Not quite girly, not quite masculine. The top was probably too much, just the bottoms he could have been at least somewhat okay with. When he’d made the purchase, Sky was a bit excited, but the reality didn’t match up to his imagination once he actually put it on.
But then the door opened and Prapai looked like he was about to collapse- even though it was the second time he was seeing the outfit. His eyes burned into Sky’s body. The intensity was almost frightening. It made Sky feel… powerful.
“P’Pai,” Sky’s voice was trembling, “Nong Sky wants you to play with his body.”
“Do you?” Prapai’s dark eyes roamed. He reached out and pressed a thumb to the tip of Sky’s cock, stroking the area around the pinhole with the rough pad. He smirked as Sky whimpered, his hands immediately grabbing on to Prapai. “What if I want to play until my little Nong begs me to stop?”
“T-then Phi should keep playing until Nong Sky can’t beg anymore,” Sky whispered. His whole body was trembling. He tried to fight the way his hips flinched into Prapai’s touch, or the gasps that escaped his lips.
“Sky-”
“I want it,” Sky stopped Prapai’s warning by sliding one hand down to stroke Prapai through the fabric of his pants. “I want it so much. Please,” he pressed against Prapai, licking his neck before biting the lobe of his ear. “Please,” Sky ground his hips into the touch freely now as he pleaded. “Phi, please fuck Nong Sky? Please?” Desperation crept into him.
He wanted Prapai so badly that he would set his dignity aside to shamelessly wrap his free hand around Prapai’s, forcing him to press harder against the little bit of cock he’d arranged above the line of the black lace.
“How does Nong Sky want it?” Prapai was shaking as he dug his thumb into Sky’s cock, making the boy gasp against him.
But Sky pulled himself together long enough to whisper in Prapai’s ear, “Hard, rough, and-”
“And?”
Sky forced himself to lean back and look to the left, “-worth remembering.”
Prapai slowly turned to look where Sky directed and… figured out what was new in the room that he hadn’t noticed before.
There were two bars rising up from the side of the bed with an empty space between. On top of those bars, two round wooden handles with small latches on the bottom. The cuffs were missing, but Prapai knew the posts were usually higher, and meant for restraints. He couldn’t imagine binding Sky, and had no particular interest in it, but these were just left open, like handles. And only a couple meters in front of them, a tall mirror with a small hole cut out of the middle.
There was a camera behind the mirror.
Sky wanted to make a sex tape- but he also wanted to watch Prapai take him.
“Wicked little Nong,” Prapai hissed in Sky’s ear as he forced him back to the middle of the bed, crawling up onto it himself in the process. Prapai turned Sky to face the mirror and slid in behind him.
Sky’s hands both went to grip Prapai’s thighs as he pressed against Sky’s back, his own hands stroking the edges of those lace panties. Sky leaned against Prapai’s chest and turned his head to lick and bite at Prapai’s neck, whimpering and grinding his backside against the hardness he could feel.
Prapai was looking at the mirror, and Sky turned his eyes to it to meet Prapai’s gaze. He locked eyes with Prapai in the reflection and bit his lip, his whole body feeling hot and tingling, even though Prapai had deliberately avoided touching his cock or nipples since climbing on the bed.
Hands gently grasped Sky’s thighs, and Prapai tucked his thumbs under the lace to lightly stroke the sides of the soft rises on either side of his length.
“Stay,” Prapai whispered in his ear. He waited until Sky straightened up, no longer resting against his hard chest.
Prapai never took his clothes off so quickly in his life.
Sky whimpered as Prapai returned to him. The hard cock rested against the back of the lace panties, it’s heat scorching where the hole in the back was cut to give Prapai leave to fuck him with the outfit still on.
Prapai pushed Sky to the edge of the bed and buried his face in Sky’s neck, making the boy moan for his life. Prapai lifted Sky’s hands to hold onto the two posts, locking them in place with his own grip. It pinned Sky’s arms open, leaving his chest on full display.
Sky watched him in the mirror as Prapai devoured his neck, licking and biting, his hips pushing against Sky from behind. He released Sky’s hands, but Sky kept them in place, resisting the urge to grab on to Prapai as those big hands began to stroke his thighs and slide beneath the leather jacket.
“Never let go,” Prapai’s voice was hoarse as he again vanished from behind Sky, this time to circle the bed.
He dropped to his knees in front of the mirror.
Sky cried out as Prapai bit the inside of his thigh, nearly forgetting the command to keep his hands on the posts. He stared not at his reflection, but at the pinhole cut for the camera. Whenever Prapai watched this back, Sky would be staring into his eyes.
Tears of pleasure and desperation gathered at the corners of his eyes as Prapai bit and licked all around his sensitive part, never crossing the threshold of the black lace. He opened his mouth in a silent scream, his arms shaking, as the tip of Prapai’s nose grazed the length of his cock.
“Did Nong touch his cock while Phi was away?”
“Ugh… N-not after that day,” Sky whimpered, bucking his hips towards the hot breath Prapai blew onto the tip. He bit his lip and forced his eyes to stay locked on that camera. “Nghhh… N-nong needs Phi to- ugh, to-to open him. To make it r-ready for Phi’s big cock.”
After he’d promised to use dirty language when Prapai came home, Sky had planned and practiced in front of the mirror, pouting and batting his eyes until he was disgusted with himself. But now, in the moment, it was more erotic than he ever imagined.
Sky cried out when the rough tongue licked his most sensitive part. He nearly fell off the edge of the bed as Prapai quickly yanked the front of the black lace down, freeing Sky’s length. Prapai took the entire length in his mouth at once, sucking at it with so much force that Sky couldn’t keep his eyes open.
“Aah! Ugh! Mmmmm.” Sky moaned endlessly, fighting against himself as Prapai’s hot mouth devoured him. The tongue rubbed at the underside, writhing against him as Prapai took him in. Every time his head bobbed back, Prapai would lick the hole at the tip of his length, tasting his precum. Prapai moaned his approval, the vibration making Sky’s eyes roll.
He hadn’t touched himself in well over a month. No matter how bad it got, no matter how hot his body was, he avoided it. He woke to damp sheets and sticky underwear more and more, but he refused to give his body what it craved. Now Prapai’s mouth was wrapped around him, sucking hard, and Sky was fighting the desperate need to cum.
Prapai clearly didn’t want him to stand a chance- he slid a finger into his mouth alongside Sky’s length. Once it was slick and wet, he slid it back and began to massage the outside of Sky’s hole.
“P’Pai!” Sky screamed out at the pressure and came hard in Prapai’s mouth. He gasped and shook, thrusting his hips deep into Prapai’s throat, his entire body spasming at the ripples of Prapai swallowing his release. The posts buckled slightly as Sky fought to keep his hands firmly on the handles until his body lost all strength.
He slumped onto the bed the moment Prapai released him, dazed for a moment.
Prapai crawled up the side of the bed, lifting Sky’s face with a hand and lowering the boy’s chin. Sky obediently opened his mouth and accepted the drops of cum that slid from Prapai’s tongue, then dragged the hot body down on top of him, crushing his lips against Prapai’s mouth and grinding shamelessly against the hard cock that was pressed to his abdomen.
Sky’s body was covered by Prapai’s. His hands covered Sky’s nipples, pinching and stroking them in time with the fierce tongue he pushed into Sky’s mouth. This was the heavy and vicious kiss Sky was waiting for. The gentleness from earlier was gone. Prapai was devouring him, and Sky reciprocated in kind.
“Nghnn!” Sky bit his own lip hard and arched his back as Prapai left his lips to bite and suck along the side of his neck. He wrapped his legs around Prapai’s middle, keeping their bodies pressed tightly together.
Sky was shaking beneath Prapai while those big hands pinched and flicked at his chest. He cried out when Prapai’s mouth moved down his shoulder, leaving marks all over the white skin. Sky grabbed his head and buried his fingers in Prapai’s hair, directing the hot mouth towards one of the slits in his lace top.
“Ugh! More!” he begged shamelessly when Prapai’s mouth finally covered the hard, pink rise. The heat and rough scrape of teeth against his sensitive area made Sky hard again. His hole throbbed, impatient for Prapai to fill it after so long apart.
But before that…
Prapai let Sky turn him on the bed, careful of the posts at the end. Prapai grasped his round butt hard enough to bruise, making Sky moan and tremble as he bent down and softly bit one of Prapai’s nipples.
Sky smirked at the way Prapai’s hips bucked up against him. He slid down Prapai’s body slowly, licking and kissing those new muscles, his whole body aching to feel the hardness smother him. But that molten desire in Prapai’s eyes meant Sky was about to be consumed, and he had his own cravings to tend to before that happened.
The hard cock that Sky had dreamed of for months was standing tall, curved, and near bursting. A steady drip of clear liquid rolled down the shaft and Sky couldn’t help but lick his lips. His eyes were glassy and there was no rational thought beyond needing it inside his mouth.
Prapai leaned up to watch him, tugging at the collar of the jacket Sky still wore. “Take it off. I want to see you moving.”
Sky shivered and obeyed Prapai’s words, tossing the jacket to one side before wrapping his hands around the base of Prapai’s cock. He didn’t hesitate to lick up along the shaft and taste the salty liquid, moaning deep in his throat the way Prapai had.
Now it was Prapai fighting to stay upright, but he wasn’t looking at the camera hole of the mirror. He was staring between Sky’s beautiful mouth wrapped around his member and the view the mirror granted- the way Sky’s butt rose and fell, the way his back shifted and moved as he stroked and gradually took more of the cock into his mouth.
There were so many things he’d imagined while stroking himself, alone in his hotel room, half a world away from this boy. Things he was determined to commit to the camera’s memory. Hell, it would probably take more than a few re-shoots to go through the whole list, just to be thorough.
“I’ve wanted to fuck… that hot little mouth… every single day…” Prapai ground the words out, unconsciously rolling his hips into Sky’s mouth. Sky responded by rising just a bit higher on his knees and taking Prapai deeper into his throat. The softness and the heat were driving Prapai insane. He needed to be inside Sky- somewhere deeper and hotter than his mouth.
From the way Sky was clenching his thighs, he felt the same.
Prapai fell back onto the bed, using the hands that had been propping him up to instead gently hold Sky’s head. He thrust harder into Sky’s throat and growled at the way the boy moaned around him. Prapai’s gasps turned to groans, and it took everything in his body and soul to pull Sky off of his cock before he came.
Sky’s lips were swollen and red as Prapai pulled him back up. Prapai crushed Sky’s mouth with his, hands kneading and grasping at Sky’s butt through the fabric of those panties.
“Turn around,” Prapai crawled backwards on the bed, pausing only to grab the bottle of lube that Sky had set on the nightstand. It was rose flavored, and he sniffed it as he sat, leaving space between his legs for Sky to nestle in.
“Nong Sky wants to taste good for Phi,” Sky was shaking. He slumped against Prapai, his back against the hard chest.
Prapai kissed his cheek hard, “You always taste so fucking good, baby.” He stroked Sky’s inner thighs, then tapped the inside of one calf and pointed at the handle. “I want you to show me everything.”
Normally, Sky would be far too shy, but he bought the mirror. He bought the camera. The mirror was no different from looking at a second Prapai who was sitting in the room with them, watching.
For Prapai, Sky could be shameless.
He slipped his ankles through the open part beneath the handle. A narrow fit, but not too difficult. It forced him down further in Prapai’s lap, his hole on full display through the cut in the black lace.
“What does Nong Sky want?” Prapai growled in his ear, making Sky clench his eager hole.
“Ah… ah!” Sky could only moan as Prapai’s fingers circled his nipples, brushing and pinching hard enough to make his cock twitch.
“What. Does. Nong Sky. Want?” Prapai pinched hard and kept the pressure, making Sky writhe against him. Sky was driving Prapai insane with his desperation, and the boy knew it.
“Nong Sky wants Phi to play with his little hole,” Sky looked up at Prapai with misty eyes, looking extremely innocent and adorable in his torment. He grabbed Prapai’s wrist, and the man allowed him to drag his hand across the pale body until his fingertips rested against the pulsing and hungry spot.
Prapai’s other hand found the bottle of lube again, and he took his fingers away long enough to put a small amount of it on his hand. Before closing the bottle, Prapai licked a drop that was sliding down the side. “I like it.”
Sky rocked his hips back further, whimpering, while Prapai teased him by offering only gentle touches. Just enough pressure to make his presence felt, but not enough to breach the tight space.
“Have you really not played with yourself in two months?” Prapai asked, his free hand rubbing at Sky’s chest while he continued to circle the hole.
“Ahh! Nong Sky really hasn’t touched himself… ugh… since that day you called,” Sky looked up into Prapai’s dark eyes, rotating his hips as best he could, offering movement in the opposite direction as the fingers.
His legs were splayed wide, and he gasped when Prapai suddenly grabbed his chin and turned his face towards the mirror.
“Then Phi needs to take good care of Nong Sky,” Prapai rested a hand on Sky’s throat, holding his chin.
“Nghh!!!” Sky clenched his jaw and screamed as Prapai suddenly shoved a finger inside in a single hard thrust. It was painful after so long without indulging himself, but Prapai knew how to angle himself, and that finger struck his most sensitive point and broke the pain with a vicious wave of pleasure. Sky’s whole body began to shake, and he nearly came in an instant.
Rain bought a fairly savage looking cock ring, why didn’t he buy one too?
Prapai’s eyes were molten. At every point in their relationship, Sky wasn’t shy about playing with his own hole. He probably played with himself every few days, more often to relieve stress in busy times. The months since that call were the longest Sky had gone without touching himself in years.
“You’re practically a virgin,” Prapai ground his finger against the spot inside of Sky, massaging his tight ring with a thumb.
Sky could barely think beyond the wonderful pressure in his ass, but he needed more. He wanted Prapai to be rougher, to make him scream again.
“Phi,” Sky gasped, arching his back as Prapai dragged his finger out and slammed it back in. “Nong Sky needs a teacher. Nong Sky-” he moaned at the feral lust on the face that stared back at him in the mirror. The slight cocking of the head, the emptiness in Prapai’s dark eyes that told him Prapai was at the limit of his tolerance. “Nong Sky needs his Phi to- gasp- to show him what it feels like- nghnnnn- to have a big, strong man inside him.”
He felt Prapai’s hips press against his back as a second finger pushed inside. He began to roll slightly as he spread his fingers, opening Sky up for the camera to see before abruptly slamming them in again with a loud, wet clap.
“Do you like how Phi touches your body?” Prapai’s hand moved a bit faster, more forcefully, making Sky cry out. “Do you like how Phi’s fingers feel inside you?”
“Harder,” sweat drenched Sky’s body, and he clenched hard around Prapai’s fingers as the man turned to bite his ear. “More, I need more. Put more fingers in Nong’s little hole.”
Prapai cursed in several languages. Sky seemed determined to make Prapai come from talk alone. He slid a third finger into Sky, avoiding his tender spot as Sky screamed out and clawed at the sheets. He was so close to releasing, but Prapai knew Sky’s body too well to let that happen.
The only pause in Sky’s torment was when Prapai added more lube to his hand, spreading it inside and making the viciously tight passage easier to penetrate. He fed Sky kisses and bites as the moans became more desperate and his legs began to shake, held out as they were.
“I think it’s time to see how much Nong Sky can fit inside him,” Prapai said.
Sky’s legs were limp as Prapai pulled them back from the handles. Sky hadn’t come, but his whole body was drained of energy. Prapai had to help him sit up, and held his hips tight as Sky grabbed onto the handles and tried to rise up in front of the mirror.
It had been months since he felt Prapai moving inside him, and the wait was killing him.
“P’Pai, please stick it in Nong Sky.” He begged shamelessly, no longer embarrassed by the dirty talk. Sky ground his ass against Prapai’s crotch, moaning at the hardness that was just waiting to slide into him.
“Stick what in?” Prapai’s finger slid into him and Sky sobbed with disappointment. “What does Nong Sky want?”
“Nong Sky wants P’Pai big, hard cock inside his hole. Nong Sky- Ugh! Ahhh!” Sky screamed as the finger was immediately replaced by the head of Prapai’s tendon. Prapai shoved in hard, pushing the tip inside and stretching Sky further than he’d been stretched in months.
He would have collapsed onto the bed if Prapai wasnt holding his hips in a bruising grip.
“Is that what you wanted?” Prapai slid what little was in Sky out and thrust back in, pushing a little further, Sky’s body spasmed around him and when Prapai next thrust himself in, Sky released.
But Sky loved it when Prapai thrust through his orgasm. Prapai shoved even more of his cock into Sky’s ass, angling their bodies so Sky was half sitting on his lap. He wrapped his hands over Sky’s on the handle, keeping the young man open and visible in the mirror.
Prapai watched the tears of pleasure falling down Sky’s cheeks as he picked up the pace, thrusting hard against Sky’s spot with no care for the drops of cum that were hanging from the tip of Sky’s cock as it swung under his force.
“Nghhhh, P’Pai, more. Harder. Hard!” Sky cried out for Prapai. The sound of their bodies colliding lit a fire inside Sky, and he found himself curving his hips to meet Prapai’s heavy thrusts.
Prapai abandoned Sky’s hands to wrap his arms around the torso. One hand pinched and pulled at Sky’s nipples while the other took hold of his shoulder. Sky’s legs fully collapsed as Prapai used all of his strength to pull Sky’s body down onto his cock, forcing himself even deeper. He slammed into the boy once, twice, three more times before Prapai roared and crushed Sky’s chest in his hand.
Heat and pressure flooded Sky’s insides as Prapai shot rope after rope into him. He could feel the throbbing of Prapai’s cock as it emptied, making Sky’s mouth water.
Prapai thrust into Sky until the cum began to drip out around his cock. He pulled out then and shoved Sky back onto the bed.
“Clean me.” Prapai held his length against Sky’s lips, grinning at the shiver that went through Sky’s body. He knew Sky loved when he did this, Sky said as much on their video chat. Prapai waited for Sky to open his mouth and begin to lick and suck at his cock without disgust or hesitation. He didn’t care that it was coated in cum and lube. He devoured it as if it were a rich delicacy.
Normally, Prapai wasn’t shy about thrusting into Sky’s mouth, but he had needs too. Once he was clean, Prapai grabbed Sky’s thighs and lifted his legs, yanking the panties off of him completely before crushing his mouth to Sky’s hole and pushing his tongue as deep into Sky’s ass as he could.
Sky writhed against Prapai’s mouth, his hands immediately going to Prapai’s head to stroke his hair as he wrapped his arms around Sky’s thighs and devoured him with an almost frightening intensity.
“Nghhh! Aah!!! So good, good!” Sky held Prapai’s head tighter as teeth scraped against his thighs and Prapai nearly smothered himself lapping the release from Sky’s hole. Prapai groaned and shivered between his legs, his movements becoming more intense and hungry at the response.
When Prapai released him at last, he was hard again. Sky was weak, he’d already climaxed three times and wasn’t sure he could last.
That was what the toy he’d picked out at the store was for, though.
“P’Pai, the nightstand, the drawer,” Sky gasped as Prapai flipped him onto his stomach and prepared to enter him again.
He didn’t want to wait, but he looked where Sky directed and found a case with a thimble-like device inside. It was open on one end, with small beads the size of grains of rice inside. Sky grabbed the case from Prapai’s hand and pulled the thing out.
Prapai watched as Sky pinched one end to open it slightly, then slid the head of his own cock into it. He shuddered as he released the end and the device gripped his tip with force.
Sky was panting hard as he reached for his phone and handed it to Prapai. When Prapai turned it on, he found an app ready to go.
The control for the vibrator.
Prapai grinned wickedly and lined himself up with Sky’s hole. Sky grabbed onto the headboard for support, but his arms immediately gave out as Prapai turned on the device and slammed in at the same time.
Sky screamed as the sensations in his ass warred with the vibrating torment at the head of his cock. Both overwhelming, both too much and not enough at the same time. Prapai tossed the phone onto the other side of the bed and set a rough pace. Sky’s eyes rolled up in his head as he cried and moaned, his body spasming as he was forced to get hard once again.
Prapai licked and kissed the trembling back beneath him as he thrust hard. He didn’t care about the mirror or the camera anymore, he only cared about the boy beneath him. Sky’s moans, gasps, and cries were the most beautiful sound, and the tight heat inside him was intoxicating.
A weak climax tore through Sky, making him claw at the sheets and clench almost painfully around Prapai. Prapai grabbed Sky’s chest with his hand as he erupted into the thin body, his lust only growing stronger as he felt the rapid heartbeat of his prey.
When they began, Prapai promised he would fuck Sky until he was beyond pleading.
He had no intention of stopping any time soon.
---
---
Prapai held Sky’s body as he shuddered and gasped. Fingers slid in and out of Sky’s hole, giving him the attention he needed, even if Sky was begging for mercy after hours of torment.
“P’Pai, numb… It’s numb… Ugh… Ahhh,” his cries were hoarse, and little more than whimpers. The vibrator at the head of his cock was buzzing as Prapai’s free hand pinched and smoothed those sensitive nipples.
“Your body doesn’t seem to be numb,” Prapai groaned in Sky’s ear and felt his hole tighten around the fingers that wouldn’t stop playing. Sky responded to the moans, and he flinched whenever Prapai ground his fingers into that special place.
Sky was balled up against his chest, barely conscious, and still biting the tip of his thumb in the cutest way. His other hand was wrapped around Prapai’s cock, trembling and halting as he used what little strength he had to stroke the man. It wasn’t enough to make Prapai cum- Sky’s muscles were exhausted and weak from holding himself up on the posts, he held the cock the way he might hold a hand.
But Prapai was hard, and he was hard because of those little gasps and cries that broke from Sky’s lips.
“P’Pai… please…please…” Sky muttered, nearly delirious with the sensations that had ravaged him over and over again.
“Phi will help Nong Sky one more time,” Prapai reached over to the dresser and touched the screen of Sky’s phone. Before, he set the vibrator to a lower setting. Now, Prapai dialed it up.
Sky screamed deep in his throat and bucked against Prapai’s leg. Prapai’s fingers inside him began to press and strike at that spot in earnest as the head of Sky’s cock burned from the aching force of the vibrator. He was so tired, but his body tensed against his will, muscles screaming.
Prapai felt Sky clamp down hard on his fingers one last time and the thinnest stream of clear liquid poured out from around the head of the vibrator. Sky’s entire body shuddered and everything tight suddenly became loose. He slumped against Prapai’s chest, the only sign of life being the subconscious twitching of his hips as his cock grew soft.
Prapai turned off the vibrator first, then wrapped his big hand over Sky’s little one. He shifted their bodies so that Sky was laying flat on the bed, his eyes closed. Prapai bit and licked and sucked on Sky’s heavily marked neck, devouring his skin while his hips thrust into their hands. After only a few minutes, Prapai came and collapsed on top of Sky, shuddering and spent.
Exhaustion was crashing down on him, but Prapai forced his body to move. His legs shook as he crawled off the bed and found the camera behind the mirror. He switched it off before moving the handles to the far side of the room.
He wasn’t putting them away- they would see much more use as soon as possible- but he didn’t want to risk Sky tripping over them when he woke.
Sky didn’t even stir as Prapai carried him to the shower and washed their bodies. Prapai noticed the adorable part stiffening as he cleaned lube and cum from Sky’s hole, so he latched his mouth around the rises at the base of Sky’s shaft, licking and sucking at them, encasing Sky’s dick with his hot mouth and managed to force one last dry orgasm from Sky’s body.
Prapai washed himself last, and threw the soiled top blanket into the hamper on the far side of the room. He fetched a new one, staggering at the way the lights in the room seemed to streak and echo in his vision.
He’d been awake for easily two days, and he felt like he was going to die of exhaustion. How did his little Sky handle it? How did he stay sane during his exams?
Prapai wrapped the blanket around their bodies and squeezed Sky tight to his chest. Part of him somehow still missed Sky, still needed to feel him crushed against every inch of Prapai. He smiled as Sky wrapped an arm around his torso and held him as tight as his shaking limb could allow.
This was home. This was the only thing Prapai could ever need to feel happy in the world. The boy in his arms, the warm body pressed against his, and the soft coos Sky made when he slept.
It was the only thing that could ever truly matter.
---
---
Sky’s entire body ached when he woke up. His legs were all but useless, muscles he didn’t even know existed in his arms were trembling with fatigue, and there was a deep soreness in his ass.
Prapai was still fast asleep, his face pale making the dark bags beneath his eyes stand out. Sky reached up and traced the lines of his face as tears filled his eyes and dripped down his cheeks. He forced himself off the bed and opened the door as quietly as he could, leaning on the handle for support.
Furniture around the condo helped Sky make his way to the kitchen, where he found Prapai’s suitcases. Sky wasn’t sure what possessed him, but he sat down heavily in the living room, still nude, and opened each bag. Clothes were thrown to one side, items that needed to be put away were set neatly on the low table. It was difficult work, given the state of his arms and the soreness of his rear, but it was important.
When they were both empty, Sky put one case inside the other and sealed them, then used the suitcase as a crutch to walk over to the large storage closet on the other side of the condo.
He needed the suitcases gone. He needed them out of sight, put away, and done with.
He needed to know that they couldn’t take Prapai away from him again.
The clothes could be washed later. The items put away whenever, but the cases had to go where Sky wouldn’t have to think of them.
Sky went to the bathroom and took some medicine for the soreness in his body before sliding back into bed beside Prapai. In an instant, arms folded around him and pulled the still-tired boy close. He nuzzled into Prapai’s chest and felt himself smiling as he listened to the steady rhythm of his heart. Too long he’d slept alone in a cold and quiet bed. His body felt heavy the moment he laid down again.
“How long do I get to keep you?” Prapai whispered, eyes still closed.
“I turned the last of my work in two days ago,” Sky’s throat allowed him only a whisper in response.
Prapai’s answer was to hold Sky even tighter, a faint smile on the lips he pressed into Sky’s forehead.
Within minutes, the two were asleep again.

Tease & Shall Receive
“Care to explain to me,” Payu asked, his tone casual, eyes a dark storm as he traced the short end of his top, nails dangerously close to bare skin. “How your shirt mysteriously shrunk?”
The logical half of his brain cautioned Rain to move carefully. The petty side to him, on the other hand, answered the question with an airy, unbothered, “Oops.”
A thin, dark brow slowly hitched up, increasing Rain’s body temperature as his bodyguard stared back at him, unmoving. Payu repeated back in a flat tone, “Oops?”
The logical half that was his brain was suddenly, completely consumed by the petty side of Rain that could never resist pushing that good nerve button just to see what would happen. Hence why, a coy smile touched the corners of his mouths, his tone becoming extra sugary-sweet and light as he echoed, “Oops.”

Safe (Phayu/Rain Fanfic)
Title: Safe
Summary: "Rain," Phayu demands, switching to that tone he uses when they scene, the hard, demanding one that makes Rain ache inside, and Rain shudders, the tears forcing themselves past Rain's eyes. "Talk to me, baby. Be a good boy and tell Daddy what's wrong,” he says sternly.
Rain whimpers. It’s that tone, the good boy, the reassurance that Phayu wants Rain to tell him that breaks Rain’s resolve. How can he not, when Phayu talks to him like this? How can he not, when Phayu is being Daddy right now. The comfort overwhelms the desire to stay quiet, and Rain gives in.
"Red," he gasps, a sob wrenching past his throat. His body feels like it's on fire as he squirms under Phayu, finally giving in to the need to get away.
Tags: Safe Word Use; non-sexual safeword use; not a scene but technically a scene; its okay to safeword anytime; Hurt/Comfort; Sensory Deprivation; Sensory Overload; rain is not okay but phayu knows how to take care of him; Trust; trust building

Notes: I've had this fic idea in my head for a while. I could just imagine Phayu would be very good at after care and knowing what to do when his sub safe words, so I wrote it <3
I cannot express all of my love and gratitude to everyone who helped me with this. Thank you to the discord for all of their support, to Khashana for beta'ing the original draft and helping to kick start my brain into solving the ending problem, and of course to imnotinclinedtomaturity for helping beta the final draft, and honestly kicking my ass. You always make me so much better.
--
It's been a bad day.
Rain's brain has been on overdrive since he went to bed last night. He hadn't slept well, waking up more times than he could count and never really managing to fall into deep sleep. His thoughts had been chaotic even in his dreams, and he'd woken up feeling like he hadn't slept at all.
He hadn't been able to focus in class all day either, instead tapping his pen against his desk erratically every few minutes until he caught himself and made himself stop, only to start up again moments later. Sky kept sending him irritated looks, but his touch was sympathetic the few times he reached out in an attempt to ground Rain.
By mid-afternoon, Rain's brain was a mix of muddled exhaustion and wired energy, making him even more restless. He could hear everything, and it grated against his nerves. His skin felt tight, unreal and unmanageable, until Rain wanted to rip it off of himself. He knows that by the time he gets home, he won’t have it in him to work on any of his assignments, but that he also won’t be able to rest with the weight of due dates hanging over his head.
He's nearly in tears by the time he climbs into his car at the end of the day, and can't remember the drive to Phayu's house, but the next thing he's aware of, he’s face down on their bed with Phayu sitting down next to him, a soothing hand rubbing circles into the small of his back.
"What's wrong, good boy?" Phayu murmurs softly, voice low.
Normally, Phayu's voice works as a soothing balm to Rain's frantic mind, but today the quiet timber just adds to the overwhelming noise in his head.
Rain whines in response, unable to manage words.
Humming, Phayu shifts on the bed, swinging a leg over Rain's back until he's straddling him, and gets to work massaging Rain's shoulders without a word. Rain wants so badly to melt into the touch, but he can't, and he doesn't know how to tell Phayu that his touch — any touch — hurts today. So instead, he keeps his mouth shut.
Phayu is doing him a favor, after all, something sweet that he doesn't often do outside of a scene, and even then, usually only after he's worked Rain hard. Rain should be appreciating the effort, whether it's helping or not, rather than complaining and asking Phayu to stop.
"You're so tense," Phayu murmurs, his voice still low, and digs the palms of his hands into Rain's shoulders harder, in a way that on a different day would probably melt the tension right out of Rain’s muscles. Rain lets out a groan, but it isn't from pleasure, and he's glad that he's laying face down when he grimaces into the pillow.
"My darling must have had a hard day," Phayu continues, leaning in close and whispering the words into Rain's ear. Rain shivers, and tenses even more, even as he tries to will his body to go pliant. "Let Phi take care of you now," he says, and presses a kiss to the sensitive spot behind Rain's ear. The spot normally sends sparks down his spine, but today it does nothing but make Rain feel on fire, and not in a good way.
Phayu's hands shift lower, still pressing hard into sore muscle, until he reaches the hem of Rain's shirt and pushes it up. His hands are cold to the touch on Rain's bare skin, clammy and not at all relaxing. Rain grits his teeth, willing himself to breathe through the sensation.
"Phi…" he mumbles, biting his lip the moment the word passes his lips. He can feel his safe word pressing against the back of his teeth, aching to get out, but he doesn't want to say it. He's never said it before, and besides, they aren't even sceneing. Safe words have no business in everyday life, after all. Rain doesn't know a lot about BDSM yet, but he knows that much at least.
He should ask Phayu to stop. He knows he should, but he doesn't want to disappoint him, especially not when Phayu is being sweet on him. Besides, it’s not that Rain doesn’t want Phayu’s sweetness, it just hurts right now, when Rain can’t so much as handle the lightest of touches. So Rain lays under Phayu and tries to take it.
The massage continues for a few moments more before Phayu shifts up and reaches for the bedside drawer where they keep some of their toys. Rain flinches at the sound of the drawer opening, something that Phayu doesn't miss.
"Rain?" Phayu asks, obviously concerned, but Rain just shakes his head and slowly unclenches his muscles. Phayu places his palm softly against Rain's side and waits a long moment. "Rain," he repeats again, more firmly this time. "Use your words. What's wrong?" he asks, his tone one of admonishment and command.
Rain whimpers. "Nothing," he croaks out, willing himself to sound calm, but even he can hear that his voice is shaking. He feels tears pricking at the back of his eyes, feels a lump forming in his throat, and holds his breath.
"Rain," Phayu demands, switching to that tone he uses when they scene, the hard, demanding one that makes Rain ache inside, and Rain shudders, the tears forcing themselves past Rain's eyes.
Instantly, Phayu swings himself off of Rain, and climbs off of the bed. Rain feels blessed relief as Phayu's weight disappears, which only makes him cry harder because he's never wanted to be away from Phayu before. Phayu grounds him in his worst moments, but not today. Today, Rain feels like he's going to vibrate out of his skin if anyone touches him again.
Rain curls into himself the moment he's free, rolling onto his side and tucking his knees up into his chest until he’s as small as he can make himself. He wants to disappear as the sobs choke his throat, wants to erase this entire day, wants to go back in time and stop himself from spitting out “red”. he doesn’t want to disappoint Phayu. He wants to want Phayu on top of him, but he can’t. He just can’t, and it’s the worst feeling in the world.
Rain expects Phayu to admonish him, maybe tell him off for using his safeword outside of a scene, but that’s not what happens. Instead, Phayu says “Good boy, using your words for me.” He sounds strong and sure of himself, in control the way that Rain is not right now, and for the first time all day, Rain starts to feel soothed.
He whines at the praise, a mix of happy and confused, but his tears flow faster and he hiccups out a breath rather than respond. The inability to speak sparks more anxiety inside of Rain, and he squirms on the bed, terrified that Phayu will get mad at him after all.
He doesn’t.
“Can you be a little more specific for me, darling? Can you tell me what’s hurting the most?” Phayu asks instead, calm and most importantly — not touching Rain. Somehow, Phayu seems to instinctively know that touching Rain was the trigger, the way that Phayu always seems to know what's going on inside of Rain’s head, even before Rain knows it himself.
But when Rain tries to open his mouth to tell Phayu what hurts… he can’t.
He shakes his head.
“Okay,” Phayu acknowledges, and it doesn’t sound like a reprimand. He doesn’t press for more either, which Rain is grateful for, and for a long moment, Phayu doesn’t say anything else. Rain’s breathing is loud in his own ears, quiet sobs still escaping his lips as he tries to get himself back under control, but it feels impossible. Rain’s entire body is lit up in all the wrong ways, and despite Phayu’s calmness, there’s still fear sitting in the pit of Rain’s stomach that he’s done something wrong.
Gentle pressure on his knee startles Rain enough that he gasps, and he flings himself away from the touch as if he’d been burned. Over the sound of his own breathing, Rain manages to make out Phayu shushing him softly. “I know baby. You’re overwhelmed right now, aren’t you,” he says, and it isn’t a question. “I’m going to have to touch you a little bit to help you though, so I need you to trust me, okay, baby?” he says, and this time it is a question.
Shuddering at the thought of being touched, Rain almost shakes his head no, but then Phayu’s words catch up with him — trust and help and baby?. Rain feels relief swarm through him at the sheer knowledge of being known. Of being understood, even without words. And he does trust Phayu, more than he trusts anyone else in the world, even himself, so he nods his head instead.
Phayu hums. “Good boy,” he says sweetly. “I know that was hard, and I am so, so proud of you. I’m going to roll you over onto your back now, and then we’re going to settle down and I’m going to make you feel better.” The total confidence in Phayu’s voice works like a balm, and he finally starts to settle. He feels his body relaxing automatically, so attuned to Phayu and that specific tone of his that he just can’t resist.
Phayu makes a sound of satisfaction at the way Rain’s body has surrendered, and touches Rain’s knee again, this time more firmly and with purpose. Phayu grips Rain’s knee, and leads his body into a prone position on Rain’s back with the least amount of touch possible, and Rain is so incredibly grateful for it. His body follows Phayu’s direction without hesitation, and Rain feels his breathing start to slow down, just from that simple action.
His eyes are squeezed shut, and have been since he started crying, so it comes as a surprise when something heavy settles over Rain’s body. He inhales sharply on an aborted hiccup, and opens his eyes. Phayu is hovering over him, tucking a blanket in around Rain’s body with a look of absolute concentration on his face, and Rain realizes belatedly that it’s their weighted blanket. Instantly, he feels safer, his body relaxing further into the bed as the weight and warmth of the blanket seeps into his bones. While every other touch today has felt like nails against his skin, this feels like safety, and Rain feels soothed.
“Phi…” he mumbles, his voice coming out all stuffed up as he lets his eyes drift back shut. He wants to cry with how good this feels, and it’s easy to do when he hasn’t stopped crying from earlier, so he just lets himself go. The sobs are thankfully quieter now; less filled with fear, moreso of relief. It feels good to let go of the tension he’s been holding all day.
Rain doesn’t know why he hadn’t thought of the weighted blanket, but that’s what he has Phayu for, and he’s so eternally grateful as the blanket seems to settle right into his bones.
“Lift your head,” Phayu commands after another moment, and Rain does so without hesitation. Something soft settles against Rain’s eyes, the familiar presence of a blindfold, and Phayu ties it firmly against the back of Rain’s head. Rain lets his head drop uselessly the moment Phayu is done, and realizes that the white noise in the back of his head has started to recede. He lets out a shuddery breath, his eyes relaxing, and calms.
“There we go,” Phayu murmurs in satisfaction. That tone of voice is usually followed by the gentle sweep of Phayu’s hand against Rain’s cheek, or along his bottom lip, but Phayu doesn’t touch him this time, and Rain is so, so grateful.
“Last thing,” Phayu says after a moment, his voice low, so so low, and then the soft clasp of noise-canceling headphones presses against Rain’s ear.
The world goes silent, and Rain lets out a long, shuddery sigh. His body goes lax as his mind goes quiet, and he just drifts. For a long, long time, Rain just drifts. He can feel that he’s crying, tears leaking down his face from relief, but eventually that stops as well, and Rain is left with nothing but the peace of being calmed.
Rain should have known Phayu would know exactly what to do to help settle him. They’ve done similar things before with the headphones, something Phayu experimented with the first time Rain got overwhelmed with him – albeit in a different way. The blindfold usually works to amplify Rain’s feelings, but somehow Phayu knew that tonight it was going to help to reduce the sensations running rampant through Rain’s body. And the weighted blanket was so, so perfect.
Rain feels so good laying there, senses completely cut off, that he doesn’t want to leave the safety of this wonderful bubble. Rain doesn’t know how long he sits in total silence — the room dark around his eyes, and his body weighed down — before he finally starts to feel more like himself, but when he does, he finds it in himself to stretch lazily under the blanket.
He’s tucked in securely enough that Rain knows it will be difficult to unwind himself in the state he’s in, so he whines softly instead. He knows, deep in his bones, that Phayu is nearby. He wouldn’t leave Rain in a state like this on his own.
His trust is proven correct when a firm touch lands on his knee, and squeezes in what is obviously a question.
“Green,” Rain whispers on instinct, turning his head in the direction he thinks Phayu is and smiling lazily. He can’t hear it, but he imagines Phayu is chuckling indulgently at him, and it makes Rain squirm happily.
There’s another squeeze on his knee, and then the weight of the blanket starts to shift off of Rain’s body. He misses it in a distant part of his brain, but he’s also pleased to be able to move freely again when the blanket fully peels away from him, so he rolls over in search of the warmth of Phayu’s body. He misses Phayu’s touch, now that he’s calm, and he craves it deep within his soul.
Phayu’s hands find Rain’s shoulder, and he helps to urge Rain into more of a sitting position, re-shuffling them until he can press himself to Rain’s body, like he knows exactly what Rian had been looking for. Rain is confident that he did.
The blindfold comes off next, slowly but surely, until Rain is blinking into the dim lighting of the bedroom. It takes a long moment for his eyes to adjust to being able to see again, but when they do, the first thing Rain sees is Phayu leaning over him, eyes dark and warm, lips curved in a pleased smile.
Warmth courses through Rain’s body. He can’t quite grasp why he was worried earlier, but a hidden nugget of anxiety has been soothed by the look on Phayu’s face. He chooses not to fixate on it, instead reaching up to curl his fingers into Phayu’s shirt, just to anchor himself. Phayu’s mouth opens with an unheard laugh.
Phayu’s hands find the headphones next, but he doesn’t remove them immediately the way he had the blindfold. Instead, he taps on them lightly, another question. Rain nods, ready to be back in the real world, ready to curl up with his Phayu, and drift that way instead.
He wants to be touched, so unlike earlier, wants the reassurances that Phayu is with him and that – that –
Oh god. Rain safeworded earlier. He’d safeworded.
Anxiety slams full force into him, and he feels his eyes go wide as Phayu removes the headphones. Rain can feel his heart starting to beat faster, and some of that sense of calmness beginning to leave him at the idea of Phayu being mad, of being disappointed. He squeezes his fingers a little together in Phayu’s shirt, and stares up at him cautiously, the noise of the normal world just beginning to filter back into his head.
But Phayu just looks calm, not upset, or disappointed, as he stares back at Rain. Rain feels himself settle a little bit at that.
Phayu isn’t one to hide how he’s feeling. Phayu is always upfront with Rain. Phayu will tell him if something is wrong, he knows it.
“Hey, my good boy,” Phayu murmurs, leaning in close to nuzzle at Rain’s nose. Rain preens under the praise, and lets out a soft sigh. Yes, he’s still a good boy. Phayu’s good boy. He always wants to be Phayu’s good boy.
“I’m so proud of you today, darling. You did so well,” Phayu murmurs, breath hot against Rain’s face. Rain wiggles in pleasure, pleased that he did good. Yes, he’d safeworded today, outside of a scene no less, but Phayu doesn’t seem mad at him. Rain feels like the luckiest boy in the world.
It feels good to have Phayu near again, feels good to not want to rip his skin from his body. It feels good to know that Phayu isn’t going to yell at him, that Rain didn’t completely fuck up. It feels so good that Rain pulls on Phayu’s shirt, welcoming it when Phayu seems to pick up on what Rain is looking for and drapes his entire body over Rain’s. The sensation is similar to the blanket, but so much better now because it’s Phayu.
Phayu wraps his arms around Rain, and shifts them around until they’re settled more comfortably, with Rain still pressed underneath Phayu’s body but their limbs more settled against each other. The movement forces Rain to let go of Phayu’s shirt, but it’s okay now because Phayu is surrounding him completely, his scent in Rain’s nose, and his touch grounding.
“Better?” Phayu asks him, indulgent. Rain nods against his shoulder. He feels safe and secure in Phayu’s arms. “Good,” Phayu murmurs close to Rain’s ear, and leaves a kiss there. It lights Rain up on the inside, and he snuggles in closer to Phayu, wishing he’d do it again.
Phayu doesn’t kiss him again, but he does rub a soothing hand up and down Rain’s arm, and he does breathe quietly into the crook of Rain’s neck, a reassuring presence that reminds him Phayu isn’t going anywhere.
They sit in silence for a long time. Rain doesn’t need the silence anymore, but he’s basking in Phayu’s affection and doesn’t feel like he needs to say anything. His mouth feels a little bit cottony still from earlier anyway, so words wouldn’t come easily even if he tried.
Eventually, however, Phayu shifts slightly, moving so that he can look more clearly at Rain’s face, and Rain tenses at his expression. He looks serious now, somber almost, and Rain feels terror crash into him.
Is this it? Is this the moment that Phayu tells Rain that he screwed up, that he used his safe word wrong? Or that Phayu really is disappointed in him, and doesn’t understand why Rain would safeword at all?
“Shh, sweet boy,” Phayu murmurs, immediately recognizing the way Rain has tensed up, and reaching out to stroke Rain’s cheek. “You’re okay,” he says firmly. “But I’d like to talk about today.” Rain knows without Phayu even having to say it that it’s important they do, knows that if they don’t talk about it now, Rain won’t be able to think of anything else until they do, so Rain sags against Phayu’s body and nods his head, willing himself not to start crying again.
Phayu sits up, pulling Rain along with him before settling Rain into his lap so that they’re facing each other. Ran can’t quite manage to make himself look Phayu in the eye, though, so he stares at his hands instead, where he clasped them on Phayu’s shoulder when he moved them.
Phayu makes a noise of displeasure. “Look at me, baby boy,” he murmurs, but his voice carries command, so Rain does. Phayu’s eyes are soft as he asks “Are you afraid?”
Slowly, Rain nods his head.
“What are you afraid of?” Phayu asks patiently, but there’s something in his eyes that tells Rain he already knows. Rain wants to call him out on playing games, wants to pout and whine and beg Phayu not to make him say, but he knows from experience that that won’t work, so instead he swallows thickly and tries to make his voice work.
“I safeworded,” Rain eventually whispers.
Phayu nods. “You did,” he agrees patiently.
Rain swallows again. He should have known Phayu wasn’t going to let him off that easily. His fingers tighten against Phayu’s shoulders as he tries to force himself to say more. “But we weren’t scening,” he adds slowly, bottom lip starting to quiver. “And – and – you were doing something nice for me,” he manages to get out around the lump forming in his throat. His eyes sting with unshed tears, and he feels horrible, saying the words out loud.
Phayu seems to understand this, because he rests one of his hands on Rain’s waist, and reaches up to cup Rain’s face. His expression is gentle as he asks, “But why are you afraid, my darling boy?”
A sob wrenches its way past Rain’s throat at the term of endearment, and he lets out a pitiful little moan as he tries to get himself under control. “P’Phayu,” he cries, “I don’t want to disah-disapoint you!” he gasps, and tries to hide his face, but Phayu’s grip on him doesn’t allow for it, and Rain only cries harder. “Please don’t be disappointed,” he gasps around another little sob. “Please don’t be disappointed in Rain!”
Rain thought he’d run out of tears, but as he grips at Phayu’s shirt, he feels the sobs keep rising up in his throat.
Phayu’s touch on his face tightens as his thumb shifts to wipe away Rain’s tears. Phayu’s other hand rubs soothing circles into Rain’s hip as he sighs and leans in close. His forehead finds Rain’s, and he rubs them together gently. “Phi isn’t disappointed,” he murmurs very seriously. “Phi could never be disappointed in Rain for using his safeword,” he continues firmly, and tilts Rain’s head just enough for their eyes to meet.
There’s no mistaking the sincerity in his gaze. It makes Rain’s chest tremble with trust, but the fear sits heavy there anyway, and Rain doesn’t know how to make it go away. His bottom lip trembles as he gasps out another little cry.
“But – but –” Rain gasps. “We weren’t even doing anything,” Rain manages to get out, hiccuping at the end.
“Rain,” Phayu hushes him, stroking his cheek and wiping more tears away with his thumb. “I need you to listen to me now, okay?” he urges Rain. Rain does his best to nod, vision going blurry from tears.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” Phayu explains soothingly. Rain starts to cry harder still, so Phayu releases Rain’s hip to instead cup both cheeks in his hands and wipe away his tears. “You were so good, Rain, telling me that you weren’t okay. You did everything exactly right,” he reiterates. For the briefest of moments, Phayu pulls back to press a kiss to Rain’s forehead, and then he’s back, foreheads pressed together, his eyes warm and sincere.
“Phi,” Rain whines. “Shh,” Phayu hushes him instantly. “All you have to do is listen. Can you do that for me, sweet boy?” Phayu asks. Still feeling completely unmoored, and more than a little bit confused, all Rain can do is nod.
“I think maybe I made a few assumptions about your understanding of safe words, and I shouldn’t have,” Phayu admits apologetically. “The most important thing I can ever teach you about safe words is that they’re made to be used.”
There is no question in Phayu’s tone, no hesitation or uncertainty that Rain can latch onto. He stares at Phayu with wide, confused eyes as he tries to understand what that means.
Rain doesn’t understand. He thought safe words were only meant for the most extreme of circumstances – for when Rain couldn’t take it anymore, and he needed Phayu to stop. He’d thought safe words were for bad doms who didn’t know what they were doing, not for doms like Phayu.
Phayu smiles at him, eyes soft, and presses one thumb to Rain’s bottom lip, smoothing over it gently. Rain shivers at the touch, and the sobs fighting to get out finally start to calm down.
“Safe words are about articulating that something is wrong in a quick and efficient way,” Phayu continues, his voice taking on the tone of a teacher. It’s familiar, and soothing, and Rain only hiccups one more time before he starts to calm. “Scening is all about communication, Rain. You tell me how you’re feeling all the time – in the way you move, in the way you touch me, in the words you say. But nothing is more effective a communication tool than using your safe word when you aren’t sure how to tell me what you need,” Phayu explains.
Rain’s brow furrows.
“But we weren’t scening,” he protests quietly, his voice hoarse. Phayu nods, and reaches up to nestle one hand in Rain’s hair, rubbing it gently.
“No, we weren’t,” Phayu agrees. “But that’s the beauty of safe words, Rain. You can use them anywhere, anytime, for any reason, and I’ll understand that you don’t know how else to tell me that something isn’t working for you.”
Rain sits with that for a long moment. Phayu has always been so good at knowing exactly what Rain needs, exactly what he wants, and where to touch to make Rain feel so, so good. Rain hadn’t really thought about the fact that he’d been doing something special to give that information away. Phayu had always just seemed to know.
“But,” Rain starts, hesitating as he contemplates what Phayu is saying. He bites his bottom lip, and Phayu automatically reaches up with his thumb to pull it free.
“But?” Phayu repeats.
“But if safe wording means stop… and I told you to stop, today… and you did,” Rain says, trying to make the words make sense in his head. “It’s not that I don’t want you to never give me a massage again,” Rain eventually manages, pouting. Phayu smiles, and tussles his hair again.
"Oh, I know. We both know how much you love it when I take care of you," Phayu teases with his shark grin. Rain whines, and pulls back to slap Phayu on the shoulder, embarrassed. Phayu laughs, and finally releases Rain's face to instead wrap his arms around Rain's waist and haul him in, until their chests are fully flush and their noses are touching.
Rain's heart does a little flip.
Phayu’s smile slips away easily, replaced with a much more focused, serious look. “You know how I told you we needed to talk about today?” Phayu asks him, drawing both of their attention back to the matter at hand.
Rain nods his head.
“Anytime you safe word, we’ll talk about it afterwards. Could be immediately afterwards, or once we’ve got you settled down, or once we’ve got you somewhere safe, but we will talk about it,” Phayu stresses. “First and foremost, your safe word is about communication. Just because something wasn’t working today, doesn’t mean it won’t work tomorrow, while other things might just not work ever. That’s why we’ll talk about it, so that we can both better understand what you need, whether that varies from moment to moment, or day to day.”
Rain nods his head contemplatively. The tears have all dried up, and his head hurts, but he knows this conversation is important. He’d spent so long cluelessly leading Phayu around blindly through his own desires, and Phayu had done such a good job, but Rain understands now that he can’t keep doing that. They can’t keep doing that.
Phayu is always telling Rain to use his words, but he’s not sure he ever really understood before now.
“So…” Rain trails off, tilting his head down to avoid Phayu’s eyes, and then stealing a peek up at him from under his eyelashes. “You’ll still give me massages?” Rain asks coyly.
And Phayu laughs, jerking Rain into him and pressing sniff kisses all over his face and head. “Yes, silly boy,” he teases. Rain smiles, and curls his head into the crook of Phayu’s neck.
There’s relief, then, and it’s… good. Rain finds himself finally able to relax into Phayu’s hold, and he sighs as he realizes just how worn out he really is.
“I’m sorry, Phi,” Rain says almost as an afterthought – almost an afterthought, because it’s not really, not when Rain can’t help feeling bad for misunderstanding things so badly all this time.
“For what?” Phayu asks him, pulling Rain away from his shoulder to look at him with confusion on his face.
“Not understanding safewords,” Rain mutters in embarrassment. Phayu frowns.
“No, Rain. You shouldn’t be sorry for something I should have explained better in the first place. That’s my responsibility,” he insists
Rain pouts, not happy with that answer. “Well,” he pushes, “I’m still sorry!” It feels like he should be sorry, when he’d caused this whole mess in the first place, but Phayu just frowns again, and shakes his head at him.
“Rain,” he warns, the low tenure of his voice a shock to Rain’s already exhausted system, and he perks up, eyes wide. “It was my mistake. Not yours,” he presses, and Rain relents.
“Okay,” he agrees softly.
Phayu smiles at him, pleased, and leans in to press his lips slowly to Rain’s. The touch is warm, so warm, and it makes Rain want nothing more than to melt.
“Good,” Phayu praises, the words like a purr. He nuzzles Rain’s nose one last time, and then starts to shift Rain out of his lap. “Come on, up we go,” Phayu directs him, standing the moment his lap is free and offering a hand for Rain to take. Rain does, enjoying the way Phayu pulls him up off the bed. Phayu’s hand is warm in his as he starts to lead him from the room. “Let's get you some aspirin and some water. You’re dehydrated,” he explains, and he sounds like Phayu again, his domineering boyfriend who likes to take care of him.
Rain follows Phayu easily, already thinking about how good the water will taste on his parched throat. He imagines Phayu will get him something sweet, too, because Phayu always gives Rain something sweet as aftercare, and it’s always made Rain feel so cared for.
“How about hot chocolate?” Rain wheedles sweetly.
Phayu doesn’t so much as look at him, but Rain can see the hint of a smile pulling at his lips.
“Water first,” he orders, and Rain just grins.

LITA Idol Rain AU Fanfic
Ok my first attempt at BL fanfic and of course it is for LITA. Once I learned Noeul spent time in Korea as a trainee I couldn't get this ideal out of my head.
Summary: Rain leads a double life. In Korea he is Noeul, Kpop idol and main dancer for the group TEMPEST. When a scandal lands him on a forced hiatus, he returns to Thailand. He doesn’t expect to meet Phayu. What starts as a casual escape quickly grows into something deeper. As the clock ticks down to his return to the spotlight, Rain must decide if love is worth risking everything—or if his stage persona is all he’ll ever allow himself to be.
First few chapters are uploaded and I have about 30k words in draft and still going.

It's Been A While
A SkyRain story about domming the homies and maybe being a little in love with your best friend, featuring supportive boyfriends Pai and Payu, and pre-poly negotiations.
Read it on ao3 here.
----
Sky recognized the signs.
Even when they were relaxing, Rain was antsy; fingers alternating between drumming on his knees and thumbing anxiously at his lip, eyes going unfocused and distant in a way that meant he was spiraling into something unpleasant. It made something equally anxious settle heavy and sour in his stomach.
Payu had been out of town for almost two and a half weeks, and Rain had been struggling to keep it together, Sky just wasn’t sure what to do about it. Not until now.
It’s been a while since they’ve done this.
Once Rain had Payu, and he and Prapai had gotten together, they had been careful to maintain some very carefully drawn lines, not letting themselves do… this. They both know the words for it, learned about how to exchange power with mutual trust and love together, had constructed scenes that gave them both what they needed, had let themselves fall into each other afterwards, overflowing with soft words and softer touches and feelings that they never had a chance to voice before Payu and Pai blew into their lives like the elements they were named for.
They’d easily fallen back into the way they’d been at the beginning, when they were still learning, a decidedly more platonic give and take when they needed it; mild punishments when Rain got off track studying, or got bratty at school, or overwhelmed when they were together. Rain on his knees, or providing snacks and small affections when Sky was the one struggling. Aftercare became less holding each other and more brief cuddles and hand holding.
They didn’t quite talk about it, but it was safer not to.
But now, Rain needed him, and seeing his best friend like this made an uncomfortable itch surge under his skin, a familiar need to make it better, to take control, to erase the sadness from Rain’s face.
Sky keeps his awareness focused on Rain, and slips his phone out of his pocket, opens a message to Pai and takes a deep breath as he types:
P’Pai, remember that thing we talked about, about Rain and me?

Society has strange expectations, that much is known and moaned about by the younger generations that are coming into adulthood at this very moment. It causes pressure, friction, and the occasional fight. So when Phayu finds his mate, he doesn’t make a fuss about it. He’s direct and keeps his end goal in mind: keep his omega happy and make sure Rain wants to stay by his side. Generally, this should please society. Rain couldn’t be more happy bumping into his potential – the only one he needs, the one he knows is his mate – the same day he presents. If only people weren’t pushing him so much to take it slow. This is how fate intended it to be. How is it that society still has so much to say?
My omegaverse phayurain fic has been published up to chapter 3 so far! It updates every Monday <3 I have 7 chapters written so far and the expected chapter count is between 10 and 14.
Hope you'll like it!

New PaiSky fic (and my other PaiSky oneshots)
So this clip prompted some adorableness. It's a bit of a throwaway line in the show, but it makes for a cute prompt and away the plot bunnies went, so I wrote a little oneshot.
He hugs me when he thinks I'm sleeping <-link
But then I was thinking that I'd never actually mentioned my other PaiSky oneshots, so I'll just shove them all in this post. My next one was also derived from discord shenanigans, and is technically part of our secret Santa, except I made the prompt and the fic so I'm probably skirting a few rules there. But either way it's a bit based on this scene from Ever After, at least in the actual action that it revolves around. But really it's just some holiday based fluff featuring PaiSky.
Stronger Than He Looks <-link
Last but not least, and also technically first, we've got our smut fic.
So the general inspiration for this was the boardroom scene kind of, but just Pai's general obsession with Sky's chest, and I think we can all agree that Prapai definitely leaves lovebites on Sky on the regular.
So I kind of was thinking, what if Sky turned the tables...you're gonna tell me that he wouldn't find this tempting??
We all know that's a lie...and based upon previous evidence, we can be sure that Prapai definitely would not be upset.
Exhibit 1 (of probably 1000 on the cutting room floor of MMY). Also, this one is rated explicit, could maybe be mature, but I have a very unclear idea of where exactly the line should be, so I always err higher.
You Have Only Yourself To Blame <- link
So anyway...enjoy. It's all pretty much just fluff, with a heaping helping of smut in the last one.

Tease & Shall Receive
"Care to explain to me," Payu asked, his tone casual, eyes a dark storm as he traced the short end of his top, nails dangerously close to bare skin. "How your shirt mysteriously shrunk?"
The Idol x Bodyguard AU that refuses to let me go.

This story is part of the series - TB universe. It continues after the events of the first part of the series - The Beginning. I reccomend reading the whole series, because Aliachae is an amazing writer.
I'll be doing a live blog reaction to this fic. I wanted to read it for a while, and now I will finally do it. I'm so excited. My thoughts will be written bellow the paragraph, in purple letters in italics.
If you want to read my live blog, continue reading <3
Rain toys nervously with a button on his shirt. Maybe nervous isn't the right word? He was thrilled and beyond excited to marry the literal love of his life. They were too young, some might say, but Rain had never been more sure of any one thing in his life than he was of marrying Phayu today. Maybe anxious was a better word to use but even that felt too negative for the energy bouncing around inside of him.
Oh, Rain... don't be anxious. It will be alright.
Sky glances at his watch and gives Rain a pointed look. As much as everyone wanted to keep Rain and Phayu seperated the morning of the wedding Pai and Sky were all too willing to help them find a moment to meet with one another alone…so long as they didn't fuck each other and ruin their suits. Rain couldn't promise he wouldn't get a little handsy but Phayu wouldn't let them fuck and mess up their outfits.
Yes, I'm absolutely sure Phayu will be careful not to mess the suits. Also, I adore the descriptions of all the suits - Rain's, Sky's, Noi's... So so good.
"Angel…you look so pretty." Phayu's hands come up to brush against Rain's cheeks reverently. His fingers trail down Rain's plush cheeks and over his bottom lip before making their way down Rain's neck. Rain can do little else but watch as tears cloud his fiance's eyes. They don't fall but Phayu looks so painfully in love that it makes Rain start to tear up too. "Don't cry, baby, you'll ruin your makeup."
"Then you can't cry either."
No crying for either of them, really. I can feel their love, it's so warm. I love this so so much.
"Go ahead, angel."
Rain feels a large smile stretch across his face. Phayu had never been shy about using terms of endearment with him. He called Rain everything under the sun and more. Each one felt special and purposeful. They gave him insight into Phayu's thoughts and feelings in that moment.
I think I can feel my eyes water at how sweet this is. I love that Phayu isn't shy about his endearments for Rain, it is so beautiful to see with them.
"When I was little I would read stories about falling in love and fantasize about what it would be like. In all the stories they make it seem like you'll meet the person and you'll just know that they're the one meant for you. I especially liked the ones about soulmates. I liked to think that there was someone in the world who was made to love me. I didn't know that night in the rain that my entire world was going to change. Looking back on it though, that was the moment that I knew I had met someone who would become the most important person in my life. Maybe that's what the stories meant. Maybe you don't know at the exact moment but when you look back on it you know that you have met someone as immovable as yourself." Rain releases one of Phayu's hands to wipe lightly at his cheek as the first teardrop falls from his lashes. "My world was small and painfully lonely. It had felt like the world wasn't meant for someone as broken as me. When I met you I felt like I had found an oasis of calm after a never ending brutal storm. I had learned to live again but love was as foreign to me as a new language I had never heard spoken before. You brought our worlds together. You made my life feel full again. You gave me things that I had never thought I would have again. Every moment I spend by your side I am blessed with more love and care than I think I could have ever imagined as a broken sixteen year old boy with only one friend. I don't know how many lifetimes we have spent together but I know that I was made to be yours. My heart was built in the shape of you. My heart will always be shaped as you for all of this life and my next. I have never felt more certain of something than I do when I say I am marrying my soulmate and the love of my life."
RAIN'S VOWS!!! I'm really gonna cry... gosh, I'm melting so much!!!
"Rain…you came into my life like a hurricane. Before you my entire world was built in organization and schedules. I worked at the firm, I worked at the shop, and sometimes I didn't even make it home before I was crashing somewhere and starting the cycle all over again. I thought it was a life worth living. I thought that I was content to live that way. Then, as if by fate, I stopped to help an adorable boy on the side of the road fix a flat. I normally didn't even take that route but something told me to take the long way home that night despite being so exhausted. I didn't know then that you would become the very force of nature that I had been craving." Rain giggles softly despite his tears because even though they wrote their vows separately they were very much in tune in how they viewed one another. "I hadn't thought it was fate until I found out the cute boy with the flat tire was in my direct codeline. How could I not think the universe was trying to tell me something? Then, you came crashing into my life with all your vibrant smiles and infectious energy. You made me want to chase something for the first time in longer than I could remember. You took my order and schedules and created chaos…you created a storm. Yet, when I finally found you in the center of it all I realized just how much I had lost sight of. You loved me for everything I showed the world and everything I hid away. You took one look at my wild family and instead of running the opposite way you loved me even more despite their craziness not regardless. You have never once tried to change who I am or judged me for where I came from. You have always been so openly accepting and loving of every part of me. When the rest of my world feels like it's caught up in the whipping winds of a hurricane coming home to you is like finding the eye. The chaos and frustrations melt away into love and safety. If you were made to love me then surely I was made to love you…you are half of my heart and the other half of my soul. After all, where there is a storm there will always be rain. One cannot exist without the other."
PHAYU'S VOWS!!! And I'm really crying now!! My heart... My poor heart!! So many feels!!!
"Only we could bring this kind of storm."
Of course there is a downpour, a storm, on Phayu and Rain's wedding. It just fits. Downpours followed all of their bigger moments, and it makes me smile to see it follow them now.
The reception was a relaxed thing. Rain and Phayu had been adamant that their wedding and subsequent reception would be private. Only their closest friends and family would be privy to it. Later, after their honeymoon, they would hold a larger, more public reception for all of their business associates and allies. This one, however, was just for them.
I love this for them, they deserve a private ceremony to celebrate their love.
Rain adjusts his head to stare up at Phayu with his chin resting on Phayu's chest. Phayu looks down at him with such a soft affection in his eyes. "For loving me as much as you do, angel. I am truly the luckiest man on earth to have found such a beautiful person, inside and out, to call my husband…you have no idea how grateful I am to have you in my life." Rain tiptoes up to meet Phayu in the middle when he leans down for a kiss.
Awwww, Phayu is simping so much!! It's all for Rain, always for Rain!! Excuse me while I go melt.
Phayu gives a small short tug on Rain's hand and guides him toward the beach. They walk to the water's edge and then take a left walking toward where their shared cabin was located further down the beach. They don't walk very far when Rain sees soft twinkling little lights glowing near their cabin. Phayu turns and grins at him when they get closer and Rain realizes that it's a little blanket laid out with pillows and flowers atop one of the large two person daybeds just outside their cabin.
This sounds so beautiful!! Awwwwwwwwww
"I love you Phi."
"I love you too sunshine."
They are saying they love each other!! This will never not make me emotional, never...
"Sometimes I look at you and I wonder how you're even real…how I even got so lucky."
Phayu allows his forehead to fall forward until it's pressed against Rain's. His hands wiggle until they're once more pressed against the warm flesh of Rain's hips underneath his mesh top. Rain's own hands are toying with the loose hair at the back of Phayu's head. Phayu's hands are scalding as they lightly massage the skin around Rain's hips. Phayu had always adored Rain's waist and never failed to show Rain exactly how much by nearly never keeping his hands from it.
"I think I might somehow have gotten luckier, Phi. You've genuinely changed my entire world. You saved me."
They are so sweet, I can't... aahhh, I love this so much!! They saved each other, and it's so perfect!!
This time when Phayu sucks his way down Rain's body he doesn't hesitate to suck a litany of bruises the length of Rain's leg before swapping to the other leg. He focuses a lot of his sucking and biting on the meat of Rain's thighs before reaching out to his left and grabbing a bottle of lube that had been tucked between the cushion of the lounge bed and the frame of it. Phayu's fingers are deft and sure as they spread Rain open. Back then Phayu had been slow and cautious. He hadn't wanted to hurt Rain who had never done such things before. Now they were both seasoned pros. Rain didn't even have to speak for Phayu to know when he could move forward and when he needed to draw back.
So hot!! Can their smut scene not be hot, though? All the bites... all the bruises... everything is so amazing
"P'Phayu belongs to Rain."
"Damn right."
"Language, brat."
AAAAAAAA I love the reversal of the iconic line!!!
Even when their sex was rougher and edged the lines of pain, Rain still loved every minute of it. At this point he's pretty sure Phayu could do just about anything and Rain would enjoy himself. It wasn't just about the sex though as much as Rain loved that part. There was something so intoxicating about being so intimately tied to Phayu. Rain felt like he belonged to Phayu when they were pressed together like this. They belonged solely to one another in these shared moments. Phayu's undivided attention focused almost solely on their pleasure was heady and exhilarating. Rain had never felt so connected to another human being than he did in these short moments together.
I love this part that has Rain thinking about their sex, because it feels so much like them. It's wonderfully written
He couldn't wait for every quiet night curled together and every sleepy morning waking up to face the world together. He was ready for everything it meant to be married to Phayu. He was ready to love Phayu for the rest of his life and probably the next three lives after that.
And I'm officially melted - this is so beautiful, perfect ending for their wedding story.

sunday morning, rain is falling
read it on AO3
Pairing: PrapaiSky
Word Count: 1.3k words
Rating: General Audiences
Additional Tags: Domestic Fluff, Morning Cuddles, Cuddling in Bed, Sleepy PrapaiSky
Summary:
Prapai wakes up before Sky does on one rainy Sunday morning.
Prapai wakes up with an annoyed groan at the sound of his morning alarm going off. The sound blares across the room a little too loud and too early in the morning for his liking. He immediately reaches an arm out for the said device and swipes a thumb across the screen to turn the alarm off, glancing briefly at the sleeping beauty beside him to make sure the noise earlier does not wake the said beauty up.
It’s a Sunday morning and usually the both of them would opt to sleep in longer since neither Prapai nor Sky has work or class to attend to. But Prapai must have forgotten to turn off the daily alarm on his phone before he fell asleep last night.
A relieved sigh emitted from Prapai's lips as his lover lying next to his side only snuggles further into the thick blanket in his sleep. Looks like his Sky is having one of the best sleeps in his life, that even the blaring alarm just now doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
Prapai shifts his gaze across the room towards the window with an unattractive yawn and his hand moves up to ruffle his messy bed hair. It looks dark outside, and he can hear the faint pitter patter sound of raindrops hitting his window lightly. Ahh – he thinks – this is nice weather to sleep in.
He stretches his stiff legs and rubs the grogginess off of his eyes before laying back down next to the sleeping beauty, body tilted to his side so he can face the said boy. His Sky has apparently turned to lay on his tummy with both of his hands curled into tiny little fists tucked underneath his pillow. His mouth slightly ajar as his face is squished onto the pillow. Prapai, very gently so as to not wake him up, brushes the strand of hair that’s covering the boy’s sleeping face and flashes a fond smile at the sight of his lover. His Sky.
Prapai is not much of a morning person, if he is to be frank. And his record of being tardy to the office more often than his secretary, Namtarn, would like can be the proof of it. It’s fairly rare for him to wake up before Sky does in the morning. But when he does, he basks in the sight of Sky being deep asleep, glowing beautifully like a literal angel even in his sleeping state. Sky had brushed it off as “nonsense” when Prapai had voiced this thought out loud to Sky a few months ago, but there was a hint of redness on the boy’s cheeks that made Prapai laugh in amusement before pressing a soft kiss onto each of them. Prapai finds it very endearing how easily flustered Sky is. His cheeks would instantly burn into various shades of red at the slightest compliment.
Today too, Sky’s cheeks are painted in soft pink. Prapai thinks it reminds him of peaches. But Prapai is pretty sure that this time, it is the cold weather that is causing the pinkness of the younger boy’s cheeks.
He rubs the pad of his thumb gently in circular motions against Sky’s freezing cheek, receiving a small contented mewl from Sky that is barely audible as it gets muffled against the pillow. How cute. Prapai chuckles to himself as he carefully scoots closer to Sky, watching the sleeping beauty with the fondest gaze.
Months ago, a peaceful sleep like this is not something that would come to Sky easily – Prapai muses internally to himself. Memories of a certain someone from his past would always come to pay him an uninvited visit, wandering around in his still vulnerable mind and haunting him even in his slumber. The clicking sound of the damn brass lighter echoes in the background as every painful scene that he inflicted upon Sky replays over and over again in his dreams. Prapai would wake up to the most heart-wrenching screams and cries he has ever heard. He can feel his heart practically shatter into pieces at the sight of Sky tossing and thrashing violently in his sleep. The back of his shirt is drenched in cold sweat and his pillow damped with tears as he pitifully pleads and begs for the devil in his dream to stop.
Prapai would jump into action in an instant. Urgently shaking his angel awake to pull him out of his night terror, and then pulling him firmly to his chest like an achor to reality. Reassuring Sky that he is safe now. Reminding Sky over and over again that he will not be able to hurt Sky. Never again in Prapai's watch.
These days, the nightmares have seemed to reduce significantly, much to Prapai's relief. It takes a while for Prapai to convince Sky to seek professional help initially, but once he does agree, things seem to work out smoothly at the end and Prapai is very proud of every promising progress that Sky has been showing after all the sessions.
Prapai is snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of Sky yawning. He watches with a wide grin plastered on his face as Sky slowly blinks his eyes open, squinting them a little to get his groggy eyes to properly focus on Prapai’s face.
“Good morning, my angel.” Prapai whispers softly and leans over to press a kiss onto the tip of Sky’s nose.
“Phi Pai, y'woke up early t’day.'' Sky mumbles out, voice still thick with drowsiness that makes his words come out slurry. But Prapai knows Sky well, he's so used to his baby already that he can make out each and every word Sky slurred out easily by now.
Prapai hums softly with a little nod of his head as an answer. “Forgot to set the alarm off last night.” Prapai says, earning him a small chuckle from Sky in return. The sound is so infectious that Prapai can’t help but to laugh along with him.
Sky glances at Prapai for a brief second and Prapai parts his arms open out of instinct, in which Sky is more than happy to oblige so he slots himself into Prapai's arms. As the latter snakes his arms around Sky's smaller form, his heart bursts with giddiness at how perfectly Sky fits in his arms. We're really made for each other – Prapai thinks. You belong in my arms.
The pretty boy has his face buried snugly against Prapai’s firm chest by now, and he inhales Prapai's scent deeply with a contented sigh – a habit of Sky that Prapai will always find endearing. He vividly remembers a sheepish Sky stuttering his way into reasoning that Prapai's scent brings him comfort.
“Comfy.” Sky sighs out, making his older lover chuckle fondly. Prapai combs his lean fingers through Sky’s soft locks and proceeds to massage his scalp, making the younger boy yawn against Prapai’s chest.
They stay like that for some more extended minutes, revelling in the warmth radiating off of each other’s body that’s contrasting to the cold temperature of the room. Sky finds comfort in the sound of Prapai’s steady heartbeat against his ear. He remembers Prapai tells him that his heart beats for Sky. And it makes Sky’s own heart skip a beat. Prapai really has that effect on Sky.
The room eventually turns silent. They are still cuddled up in Prapai's luxurious king size bed, the only sounds audible are their calm steady breaths, and also the pitter-patter of raindrops slamming against the window that seems to be louder now, signaling that the rain is getting heavier.
We don’t need words, Prapai thinks to himself, as long as we’re together in each other’s arms.
Soon enough, soft snores can be heard filling up the room as they both finally drifted back to sleep, bodies pressed up against each other underneath the thick cover seeking for warmth while it is raining cats and dogs outside.

Write on Me
Summary: Rain’s been writing to his soulmate since he was a kid. Even before that, they were drawing to each other. Rain would stare at his own arms for hours, sending drawing after drawing to Payu and waiting for him to send one back. Now that they’re older, their connection hasn’t turned romantic, which leaves Rain unsure of where they stand.
written for the Summer Fic Wind-Down on the payurain discord server for snowy, who requested soulmate!au
Rain was grinning despite himself, hiding his wrist under the desk as best he could while he drew. Payu had a habit of jotting down reminders on his wrist if he didn’t have a piece of paper on hand. Rain had a habit of doodling all over those reminders, which he hoped Payu found both annoying and cute.
“Rain!” he broke out of his reverie to find his teacher standing over him, a scolding expression on her face. “Pay attention. You can talk to your soulmate after class.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he said quickly, cheeks coloring slightly. His classmates snickered, as though none of them had ever been caught. The teacher made her way back up to the front of the class, and Rain took advantage of her back being turned to add one last heart next to Payu’s note.
By the time she turned around, he was looking forward, his attention seemingly diverted from his soulmate. Seemingly. Twenty minutes later, he was doing his best not to smile as he felt a pen tracing where he’d doodled.
He could look at it later, he told himself.
That lasted all of five minutes. He waited until his teacher was writing on the board, then chanced a glance back down at his wrist. His smile faded somewhat as he read the message Payu had left.
Pay attention in class.
Ugh. Buzzkill.
-----
“Did you hear?” Maew slammed her tray onto the table, causing Rain to jump a little. “P’Gear’s mom finally met her soulmate.”
“What?” Rain gaped at that, resisting the urge to whip around and stare at Gear. “What about his dad?”
Maew furrowed her brow for a moment before her expression cleared. “It’s not like that,” she explained, shaking her head. “They’re platonic soulmates.”
Rain nodded in understanding, feeling a small pit forming in his stomach. “How can you tell?” he asked, giving in and glancing quickly at Gear before looking away. He’d been writing to Payu for years, and it had always been a source of comfort for him. Now that they were older, though, he’d expected things to turn romantic. They hadn’t.
“I think you just know,” Maew shrugged, picking up her silverware.
“When you meet them?” Rain filled in the blanks, feeling some doubt clear. If that was the case, there was no need to worry. At some point, the universe would see fit to introduce them, and then sparks would fly. Everything would be fine.
“No,” Maew said. Rain’s stomach dropped. “Just in general. Like, when you write to them.”
“Oh. Okay,” Rain replied, trying for a cheery tone. He shoveled some food into his mouth as an excuse to stop talking. Maew looked at him for a second, then shrugged and returned to her own meal. Rain stared at the back of her hand as she ate. Her soulmate was an artist, who had taken to drawing flowers all over Maew’s hands and arms ever since she mentioned that she liked them.
Rain had been immediately charmed by this display and started drawing flowers all over his own arms, hoping Payu would find it sweet. Instead, he got a message back saying he should ask beforehand next time. Apparently, Payu had ended up giving one of his final presentations covered in the floral drawings.
Rain had insistently pouted for a few hours before finally writing back and agreeing. He’d meant to try again, but every time he thought about it, all he could think about was Payu saying no. Instead, he just kept his drawings small, littering them around the areas Payu was writing anyway.
-----
“It’s not fair,” he complained, dropping his bag on the table with a sigh.
“What’s not fair, sweetheart?” his mother asked, without looking up from her book.
“Everything,” he declared dramatically, flopping down on the couch and giving her a somewhat pathetic look.
“Poor baby,” she soothed, the corner of her mouth ticking up as she shook her head slightly.
“Payu never actually wants to talk to me,” he complained. “He just tells me to behave, or study, or pay attention in class, or—”
“Were you talking to him in class again?” his mom asked, putting her book aside. Oops.
“Maybe?” he squeaked, giving her his most apologetic smile.
She tutted under her breath, shaking her head. “You do need to pay attention in class,” she said firmly. “And Payu’s only being responsible by reminding you of that.”
Rain grumbled at that, standing up to go slink off to his bedroom in the face of his mom siding with his incredibly annoying soulmate.
“Do your homework!” she called after him. In retaliation, he purposefully sighed loudly enough for her to hear him.
He plopped down on the floor of his bedroom, pulling his backpack in closer and unzipping it. He couldn’t help a soft smile as he felt a pen tracing along his forearm. He grabbed his own pen, and stared at the message eagerly until Payu finished writing.
Are you home yet?
He replied immediately, his heart picking up the pace a little.
yep :)
Rain wished they just had each other’s numbers. There were plenty of people who did that nowadays, who would just use their soulmate connection to get enough identifying information to find one another, then live happily ever after. Quick, simple, no fuss. Rain’s parents had forbidden it until he was at least 18, and Payu was against it entirely. It was supposed to be bad luck, but Rain thought the whole thing was ridiculous.
Payu finished his response, and Rain looked down at his arm eagerly. He let out another groan once he read the message.
You should probably do your homework before it gets too late.
Ugh.
-----
Rain ran inside, half-holding his backpack over his head to shield himself from the storm. He’d had the worst day. He’d been late to school, forgotten his lunch, most likely failed a history exam, and now he was caught in a downpour. He dropped his backpack by the front door to dry, ignoring the fact that he had homework. He could worry about that later.
Changing into dry clothes made him feel a little better, but he still felt on the edge of crying. He grabbed a marker and clambered into bed, sighing a little as he did so. He uncapped the marker and poked himself hard in the wrist to get Payu’s attention. A few minutes went by with no response, and Rain buried his face in his shoulder and groaned. He extracted himself when he felt a poke back, hurrying to write.
hi :(
What’s wrong?
Rain bit back a smile at how quickly Payu had responded. Despite the fact that he never reciprocated any of Rain’s cute gestures or flirting, he was always there for him when he was upset.
had the WORST dayeverything sucks :(
Rain watched curiously as Payu’s response slowly appeared on his arm.
Do you want to talk about it?
He was about to reply with an enthusiastic yes when he felt a pen start writing on his ankle. He frowned in confusion, and pulled his leg in towards himself. He tugged his jeans up slightly to see what Payu was writing, then melted immediately when he realized what it was.
A rain cloud.
When Rain had first learned to write his name, he’d excitedly copied it onto his arm for Payu. He’d learned Payu’s name before he could even read, and his mother had needed to tell him what the writing said. To his delight, Payu had quickly responded with a drawing of a rain cloud.
It had become a regular thing between them, especially when Rain needed cheering up. At one point, when Rain was around eleven years old, Payu had been the one to need comforting for once. He’d done his best to reassure him through words, only switching gears when he caught sight of a fading rain cloud near his knee, one that Payu had drawn for him a few days prior.
On a whim, he’d added lighting coming from the cloud. Payu had thought–or at least pretended that he thought—it was sweet. From then on, it persisted as a reminder of their connection, something they’d draw for one another whenever either of them was feeling down.
Rain stared down at his ankle, lightly tracing the lines of ink and wondering what Payu was doing at that moment. He decided to ask, but hesitated a second before he started writing. After a moment, he switched gears and decided to just draw lightning underneath Payu’s cloud.
He felt a pen scratching at his arm again, and he looked up from the cloud. Payu had underlined his previous statement, making Rain smile.
Do you want to talk about it?
yes
They did talk about it. Payu was his usual extremely pragmatic self, and Rain wondered, not for the first time, if the universe was playing some kind of joke by pairing them up. Then, he drew enough sad faces, and Payu switched to the only other mode he had, as far as Rain could tell, which was firm and comforting and Rain’s favorite version of him. So far, anyway.
They talked until Rain felt better. Payu was obviously able to gauge when that was, since he immediately started nudging Rain to get his schoolwork done. Rain huffed at that, but obliged, occasionally jotting any complaints down for Payu to read later. He wasn’t getting any responses, so he figured Payu was probably at his mysterious, after-school job that he refused to tell Rain about.
To be fair, he also refused to tell Rain what school he was going to, or what city he lived in, or what he was majoring in. Rain at least knew (or hoped) that he lived in Thailand, based on the fact that they’d both been writing to each other in Thai since they were kids. He counted himself lucky in that regard. He had plenty of friends whose arms had been covered in another language. Parents would generally sign their kids up to learn their soulmate’s language as soon as they figured it out, but Rain figured it still couldn’t be easy. Someone would have to move, to a brand-new place where everyone spoke a different language and had a different cultural background. Even if you’d been preparing for it all your life, it couldn’t be easy to leave behind everything that was familiar.
So, Rain knew he should be a little more grateful. Even if Payu was frustratingly close-lipped about seemingly every detail of his life. Rain was the complete opposite, telling Payu pretty much anything that crossed his mind without giving it a second thought. He honestly wasn’t sure if he was overcompensating, to try to balance out Payu, or if that was just the way he was. Either way, it didn’t much matter.
-----
“He doesn’t tell me anything,” Rain groaned, slumping into the seat across from Maew.
“Hello to you too,” she responded drily, giving him an unimpressed look as she sipped her drink.
“Look,” Rain insisted, holding his arm out.
how’s your day going?
Fine. How’s yours?
“How dare he ask you about your day?” Maew guessed, raising an eyebrow.
“No,” Rain grumbled, yanking his arm back towards himself. “That’s not even an answer! And it’s what he always says.”
“Maybe you should open up more,” Maew suggested. Rain snorted.
“I tell him everything,” he whined. “I don’t even know if he cares.”
“He’s your soulmate.” She waved her hand dismissively. “Of course he cares.” Rain let out a huffing sigh at that, clearly not convinced. “Look, just answer the question before you ask him. Then, he can see what you’re looking for.”
“What do you mean?” Rain frowned.
“Well, it depends on what you want from him. If you want every detail of his day, tell him about yours. Then, immediately ask him about his. He’ll be way more likely to go in-depth.” Rain frowned at that. It was a good idea, even if he didn’t want to admit it. Certainly worth a try, even if it meant he had to stop complaining until he gave it a go.
“Fine,” he sighed, stealing a bite off her plate. “I’ll try.”
A few hours later he was sitting nervously on his bed, incessantly tapping a pen against his arm. What did he want from Payu? More information, sure, but he wanted to feel like they were connecting with each other. Their little storm cloud was one of the only things that actually made him feel like they were supposed to be together. He wanted to feel that way more often.
hi :)
He let out a breath, fidgeting for a moment before he felt Payu scratching out a reply.
Hi.
No smiley face. That wasn’t exactly a surprise at this point.
i picked my program for university next year!!!
There was a slight possibility that he was hoping his enthusiasm would rub off on Payu if he used enough exclamation points.
That’s great. What are you studying?
Rain took a deep breath before replying, remembering all the times he’d tried to ask about Payu’s life and gotten nowhere.
architecture! it’s gonna be so cool :) what are you studying?
There was a long pause before Payu responded. Long enough that Rain started to worry that he’d somehow overstepped, despite how ridiculous that was. This was his soulmate. Frankly, it was crazy that Rain didn’t already know what Payu was majoring in.
I’m in architecture too. This is my last year.
Rain’s eyes widened as he took in Payu’s words. His heart sped up a little as he thought about how to respond. Maybe this was proof. They’d picked the same program, without even knowing it. Surely, that had to mean something. A small smile formed on his face as he traced over Payu’s response. He picked up the pen to write something back, biting his lower lip as he thought. Something about how the two of them were connected, something cute, something that would make Payu want to talk to him more. Before he could decide, he felt Payu writing again and glanced down to read it.
Architecture is a difficult program. You’ll have to work hard if you want to do well.
Insufferable.
-----
Rain was nervous. As he looked around, he could see that his fellow classmates looked about as anxious as he felt. Without meaning to, he glanced at the girl next to him, seeing that she had an encouraging note on the back of her hand.
You’re gonna be great! :) <3
You know, the kind of thing a soulmate would do. Write a sweet, encouraging note on a day where you’re meeting a million new people and starting a new chapter in your life. Rain glanced down at his own hand.
Orientation is important. Make sure you pay attention.
So sweet. So encouraging. Rain sighed.
“Can I sit here?” a voice came from his left side.
“Sure,” he answered, turning his head as he spoke. “I’m Rain,” he offered, as the guy sat down.
“Sky,” he replied, offering a brief smile of his own. “Nice to meet you.”
Once the presentation started, Rain could feel his attention drifting. He couldn’t help it. It was just one speaker, up at the front, droning on and on without anything to break it up. His eyes caught Payu’s note on his hand and he scowled down at his hand. Unable to help himself, he glanced over at Sky, trying not to be too obvious as he scanned over his arms and hands.
There was a smattering of hearts on the inside of his wrist, with a smiley face and a note.
Good luck!
Rain tried to keep in a sigh. Apparently, everyone else’s soulmate had decided to be nice to them today. Like normal people. Sky turned his arm slightly, and Rain caught another message, in different handwriting.
Go to work.
Okay, so maybe not everyone. Rain bit back a smile, quickly turning his head back to the front of the room when Sky shifted in his chair. He did his best to pay attention for the rest of the presentation, glancing down at Payu’s message whenever his focus waned. It actually seemed to help.
-----
“That’s a terrible idea,” Sky told him. “Why would you do that to yourself?”
“I just wanna know,” Rain whined. “Why is that so bad?”
“It’s bad luck!” Sky shot back immediately. “And if you find each other before you’re supposed to, it messes with your connection.”
“That can’t be true,” Rain rolled his eyes.
“It is true,” Sky argued, aggressively pointing a chopstick at him.
“But we’re still soulmates,” Rain continued. “Even if we meet a little early.”
“My mom gave my dad her phone number when they were in high school,” Sky told him, raising an eyebrow. “Now they’re divorced and living in separate countries.”
Rain paused at that, fixing Sky with an evaluating look. “And they were soulmates?”
“Still are, technically,” Sky shrugged.
Rain was silent for a minute.
“Sorry,” he eventually offered, realizing he should have said something sooner and feeling bad that he’d jostled the confession out of Sky.
“It’s okay,” Sky reassured him. “It was a long time ago.”
Rain nodded, trying for a smile. Sky took another bite of food, and Rain caught sight of his wrist.
He had a few messages from his soulmate, though it looked like they’d gone unanswered. Rain had been trying to get details about Sky’s soulmate since the first time they’d met, and had been largely unsuccessful. The only thing he knew for sure was that his soulmate was male, considering Sky had inadvertently let that slip early on.
“He’s really none of your business, Rain.”
“So he’s a he?”
“...Shit.”
Other than that, he was having absolutely no luck. It was crazy to him, considering how often he talked about Payu and to how many people. Sky was totally tight-lipped, though, and Rain often wondered if that was what Payu was like in his own life. After all, Payu barely shared any details with Rain, who was his soulmate. Things had gotten slightly better since Rain had left high school, with him finding out all of two details. Payu rode a motorcycle, and he had a brother.
A twin brother.
Rain had tried very hard not to be pissed off at the fact that Payu had neglected to share that for their entire lives. The fact that Sky seemed to act similarly was almost comforting, though. Rain was pretty sure Sky cared deeply for his soulmate, despite his outward nonchalance, and it gave him hope that Payu was the same way. Since they both believed in meeting your soulmate naturally, Rain had a sneaking suspicion that Payu, like Sky, was probably from a small town somewhere in the country.
Still, it couldn’t hurt to get a little more information about each other, could it?
“What if I just figure out what province he lives in?”
“No.”
-----
“I heard he’s working at some big architecture firm now,” Ple was saying as Rain slid into the seat next to her.
“Who?” he asked absentmindedly, pulling his lunch out of his backpack.
“P’Payu,” she told him, continuing to talk as though his heart hadn’t just stopped beating. “And P’Som says he’s coming back to give a talk to the freshmen!”
“Who’s P’Payu?” he asked, trying to sound casual. There was also a small voice in the back of his brain wondering if this counted as tempting fate.
“He’s one of the best students the program’s ever had,” Ple replied animatedly. “He graduated last year, though.”
“Cool,” Rain gave her what he hoped was a normal smile, then turned back to his food. Sky was sitting across from him, his drink halfway raised as he stared Rain down.
No, he mouthed, before taking a sip.
“I heard he had the highest GPA in the history of the program,” Por leaned in, looking at Ple for confirmation. She shrugged, a thoughtful look on her face.
“I heard he drives a motorcycle,” Sig butted in. “That’s way cooler than the architecture shit.”
Everyone immediately started talking over each other, protesting against what Sig had said. Rain and Sky were the only two who remained silent. Rain’s eyes were wide, and Sky shook his head sternly.
No, he mouthed again.
Yes, Rain mouthed back.
-----
“It’s just his school, that’s all!” Rain said hotly. “He doesn’t even go here anymore.”
“It’s tempting fate,” Sky insisted, not slowing his pace at all.
“Maybe it’s not!” Rain pointed out. “Maybe this is fate. Maybe this is how it’s supposed to happen.”
“Maybe you don’t try anything,” Sky rebutted. “And then you’ll meet him at the right time, when the universe wants you to.”
“What does the universe know?” Rain grumbled.
“Literally everything,” Sky shot back. They arrived at Sky’s dorm, and Rain waited patiently as he unlocked the door.
“What if I just drop hints?” Rain whined. “Like, if I just talk about school a lot, and see if he mentions that he went here.”
Sky fixed him with an evaluating look for several seconds, his eyes narrowing.
“Fine,” he agreed. Rain cheered internally. “But you can’t say the name of the school.”
“What?” Rain groaned, dramatically throwing himself on Sky’s couch. “That’s impossible.”
“If he really went here, he’ll figure it out,” Sky called from the kitchen, where he was cruelly ignoring Rain’s torment.
Honestly. Did friendship mean nothing?
-----
Do you have homework?
SO much :( teacher prae is trying to kill me :’(
I’m sure you’ll be able to get it done if you focus.
-----
why do i have to take history classes when i’m in architecture?
It’s important to be well-rounded. It’s part of the course requirements for a reason.
-----
i just found out my program has a foreign exchange thing where you can go to KOREA
That sounds like a great opportunity. Are you planning to sign up?
-----
Maybe you should set multiple alarms, so you can get to school on time.
i woke up early! there’s WAY too much traffic in the mornings around here :(
That should be something you’re factoring in, Rain.
-----
Honestly, he was impossible. Rain felt like he had tried everything to clue Payu in about where he was going to school, other than just coming right out and telling him. At this point, he was forced to admit one of two things. Either Payu had gone to a different university, or he was deliberately keeping this from Rain.
“Maybe he’s just dumb,” Sky suggested around a mouthful of chips.
“He’s not dumb,” Rain protested hotly, stealing a chip. Sky shrugged noncommittally, waiting for him to go on. “I think he doesn’t want me to know,” he eventually said.
“Of course he doesn’t want you to know,” Sky responded with absolutely no hesitation. “It’s insane that you keep dropping these hints. You’ll meet him when you’re supposed to meet him. If you rush things, you won’t be ready for each other yet,” he finished sagely.
Rain groaned, and slid halfway off the couch.
“That looks comfortable,” Sky said drily.
Rain groaned again.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he ignored it. He didn’t really care who it was. It wasn’t Payu, because Payu couldn’t text him, since Payu didn’t have his number, because Payu wanted them to be complete strangers. Forever, apparently.
“Hey,” Sky kicked him gently, breaking him out of his reverie.
“What?” he turned, half-pouting at Sky for the kick.
“You might find something out next week,” Sky replied, holding his phone out. Rain took it, frowning in confusion. It was open to their main group chat, with two new messages from Ple.
P’Payu’s giving his talk next Tuesday!I got this from P’Som so it’s def true.
Rain whipped his head around to stare at Sky, his eyes wide. Sky was clearly trying not to laugh, apparently enjoying his panic.
“Wow,” Sky commented, taking his phone back. “So, you have a week to fix everything?”
“Fix what?” Rain asked, confused.
“You know,” Sky gave Rain a onceover. “Everything,” he finished, gesturing at Rain, who resisted the urge to tackle him.
“Sky!”
-----
Rain was holding his breath, fidgeting in his chair as he stared down the clock on the wall. He’d arrived fifteen minutes early, for once, and was now regretting it as time seemed to slow to a standstill. Someone was coming to give them a talk. Either his soulmate, who he was destined to spend the rest of his life with, or a complete stranger, who would have absolutely no impact on him. One or the other.
After another excruciating couple of minutes, the professor walked in with the speaker. Rain studied him immediately, cursing for the millionth time that he had no idea what Payu looked like. Most of his friends had at least a general sense of their soulmates’ appearance, but, as with everything else, Payu hadn't been forthcoming about his looks.
Sky caught his eye and gave him a questioning look, and Rain just shrugged. Payu started his talk, but Rain could barely hear a word over the blood pounding in his ears. He was staring Payu down, somehow hoping he could just will himself into knowing whether or not they were soulmates. No such luck.
He came back down to earth when he felt a light kick on his shin. Sky was holding a pen, tapping it against his arm. Rain gave him a confused look, and he sighed. He scribbled on his wrist and nodded towards Payu. Rain’s brow furrowed for a moment before his eyes widened as he understood. He took his own pen and touched it to his wrist, watching Payu’s expression carefully. As he began to move the pen, Payu faltered slightly as he spoke. He recovered so quickly that Rain started questioning whether he had imagined it.
He sighed and finished the drawing, leaving out the lightning bolt so Payu could add it in later if he was wrong. Rain spent the rest of the talk craning his neck to try and see Payu’s wrist. The fact that Payu never took off his jacket did not help matters.
“That’s all,” Payu said eventually, giving the room a slight smile. “If you have any questions, feel free to hang back to ask them. I’ll be here for about ten minutes or so.”
There was immediately a low-level hum of activity as everyone packed up, including Rain.
“Good luck,” Sky told him, squeezing his shoulder before leaving.
“Thanks,” Rain muttered, clearly distracted.
By the time he made his way to the front of the classroom, Payu was already surrounded by a throng of students. Rain sighed and attempted to bully his way to the front. He got stuck halfway through, but at least he could actually see Payu now. He’d taken off his jacket, thankfully, but Rain’s view was still obscured enough that he couldn’t see his wrist.
Someone asked him a question, and his face lit up. He started talking animatedly, gesturing as he did so, and Rain’s heart started beating faster. His arm came into Rain’s line of sight, and he spotted it. The rain cloud. Their rain cloud.
Holy shit.
He tried desperately to make eye contact with Payu, his heart sinking when Payu finally did look his way, only to move on a second later. He needed to figure something out. The next time Payu looked at him, Rain lifted his wrist without thinking, displaying the same drawing that was currently on Payu. Payu’s eyes widened as he glanced down at his own wrist, before quickly looking back up at Rain.
“Thank you,” Payu said, after a moment of stunned silence. “I appreciate you all coming today.” There was a titter from the students, and Payu gave another nod. “I’ve got to get going.” Rain’s heart sank. “Could you show me out?” Payu requested, his eyes fixed intently on Rain.
“Sure,” Rain blurted out, a few seconds too late.
He was walking on autopilot, taking Payu to the nearest exit when he was swiftly pulled into an empty classroom.
“Rain?” Payu asked hesitantly.
“Yeah,” Rain breathed. “P’Payu?” he asked, before his brain caught up with his mouth. “Wait, no, I already knew that. I mean, your name, because of the talk, but—”
“Rain,” Payu said, a faint tone of amusement in his voice.
“Yeah?” Rain asked.
“C’mere,” Payu said, pulling him into a hug.
It felt right. It felt exactly like the connection people always talked about, that sense of knowing that a person was your other half, the one you were supposed to spend your life with. Unfortunately, there was still a tiny seed of doubt in the back of his head, niggling at him. What kind of soulmates were they?
Payu had never seemed to want anything romantic with him, and now that they were meeting, they were hugging. He didn’t have a problem with that on principle. It was a nice hug. Payu was very warm.
However, there was still that creeping feeling of dread in his stomach. He was already half in-love with Payu. He had been for a while, if he was honest with himself. Could you fall in love with your platonic soulmate? How would that even work? Maybe it would ruin their connection, and they wouldn’t be able to see each other, and Payu would hate him, and—
Payu pulled back halfway from the hug and brought his hands to Rain’s waist to pull him back in. Rain went easily. There was a hand in his hair, moving it out of his face, and Rain realized he was screwed. Payu moved closer, and then—
They were kissing.
That was probably not something platonic soulmates did.
Rain’s brain took a second to catch up, and then he was grasping at Payu’s shoulders. It seemed to go on forever, until it was over, and then it seemed like it had only lasted a split-second. Payu didn’t look half as dazed as Rain was feeling, which didn’t seem very fair. He still had an arm around Rain’s waist, the other one playing with his hair. Rain was trying to conflate this with the Payu who was constantly nagging him to study, and he was failing miserably.
“I guess we’re…romantic,” he said, regretting the words almost as soon as he’d said them.
“What?” Payu asked, his brow furrowing as he pulled back an inch or two.
“Instead of platonic,” Rain clarified. Maybe the ground would swallow him up. That would be fine.
“You thought we were platonic?” Payu asked, looking more confused than ever.
“I didn’t know,” Rain defended himself, half-whining. “You never seemed interested.”
Payu raised an eyebrow at that, clearly hiding a smile. “You were in high school,” he told Rain with a shake of his head. “We hadn’t even met yet.”
“But we’re soulmates,” Rain countered, definitely pouting by this point.
“Yes,” Payu conceded, holding back laughter. “Soulmates who needed to wait a little.” Rain opened his mouth to argue. “Until now,” he added softly, his hand tracing Rain’s jaw. Okay, fine.Maybe the universe did know everything.
