National Umbrella Day
Everyone is familiar with the sight of an umbrella, they’re present whether you live in the hottest of climates or the coldest. They’re there to keep the rain off on a blustery day, and there to protect you from sunburn on a warm and sunny one, there’s simply no day that isn’t a perfect National Umbrella Day! So, of course, there’s a holiday to honor this ever useful, ever-fashionable, and essential piece of travel gear.
Learn about National Umbrella Day
Yes, we have already sang “You can stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh” in our heads, have you? While National Umbrella Day is not an ode to the Rihanna song, but rather the creation itself, there is nothing stopping you from dancing in the rain and recreating the moves from the music video!
After all, this is an invention that is definitely worth celebrating! When the rain starts to pour, an umbrella stops us from getting wet and keeps our hair in an acceptable condition. It is a simple invention, but one that we have all relied on from time-to-time.
Of course, there are also umbrellas that help to shield us from the sun as well. When at the beach, an umbrella can be the difference between having a pleasant, comfortable experience and going home looking like a lobster! So, we certainly have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to this clever creation.
You may think that the humble umbrella has come as far as it possibly can! Well, you would be wrong! We have seen some pretty crazy umbrella innovations happening out there. Why not do a little bit of digging online? We are sure you will come across some weird and wonderful umbrella inventions that people have made. We’re sure you have seen those umbrella hats, which gained a bit of traction as novelty items! However, there are plenty of others out there as well.
History of National Umbrella Day
National Umbrella Day celebrates this useful device that has been with us for quite a long time and has served every purpose from practical to fanciful since its creation. Just how long has the umbrella been with us? Long enough that it’s permeated every culture across the globe, and originated from more than one.
The oldest recorded umbrella appeared in 21 AD, in Ancient China. Though to be fair, this really was just the first recorded collapsible umbrella, Qin Shihuang’s tomb revealed a terracotta army carriage that had a permanently open umbrella attached to it dating from 210 BC. They were also found in Nineveh, Persepolis, Ancient Egypt, and Greece, just to name a few. Needless to say, the umbrella has a long and noble history.
The popularity of the umbrella extended beyond its usefulness for protecting us from sun and rain, special efforts were made to turn these simple devices into exquisite works of art, some of them even being made of lace or lavishly decorated paper, and were carried by the most influential and beautiful people in the world.
Today has revealed even more styles that are available in the world, including an innovation on the already innovative collapsible umbrella. Now they have telescoping ones that don’t just collapse the shade, but then collapse the handle so it can fit in your purse or car door! Isn’t that amazing?
How to celebrate National Umbrella Day
First, learn this word “scath fearthainne” (you may have to do a little looking to find the pronunciation, it’s Gaelic), it is by far one of the most beautiful words the world over for an umbrella. It means, appropriately enough, rain shadow. If there has ever been a perfect name for an umbrella, we don’t know what it is. After that, go out on National Umbrella Day and find yourself an umbrella or three that suits your tastes and styles, and make sure one of them is strictly for use in the sun!
If you already own an umbrella, we would recommend buying a backup. After all, you never know when you may need one. Umbrellas can easily break when there are strong winds. We are sure some of you reading this know what we’re talking about. There’s nothing worse than a gust of wind taking your umbrella and essentially turning it inside out. You feel the stares on you while you desperately try to rectify the situation! It can be pretty embarrassing, right? That’s why we always recommend going for a quality umbrella. Nevertheless, as umbrellas are designed to be flexible and foldable, a strong gust of wind always has the potential to cause damage.
Another way to celebrate National Umbrella Day is to enjoy a delicious cocktail with one of those cute umbrella decorations. Yes, we know; any excuse to have a drink, right? If you have ever been a vacation to a beach resort, though, you will know that umbrellas are often used to decorate fruity cocktail drinks. Why not bring the vacation feeling to your home on National Umbrella Day with a cute-looking cocktail?
You can also spend National Umbrella Day watching a film that features an umbrella. There are a lot of different options for you to choose from. Of course, the most famous has to be Mary Poppins. But how about Singin’ in the Rain? That’s another great film that we would definitely recommend watching on this date. We’re sure most of you would prefer watching a film than actually going out in the rain on this day.

Saving Activist Andrey Gnyot. VPN Protest. Charity Lecture by a Political Philosopher.
You are watching the news from the weekly rally at the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. Today is August 24, 2:30 PM.
Since the end of last week, Belarusian and Russian activists have been holding a protest demanding that Belarusian activist Andrey Gnyot not be extradited to dictator Lukashenko. On August 21, Andrey and his lawyers shared the details of his case on the European Radio channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-upcgkIwWSA
On August 25 at 2 PM, we will gather in front of the Serbian Embassy in Lisbon at Rua de Alcolena 11. https://www.facebook.com/events/1043644033328903/
If you cannot come, please take photos with posters and send them to us at [email protected].

Also, support the fundraising for his legal defense. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-andrey-gnyot-save-his-life
We believe it is important to support Andrey because we understand the problems that dictator Lukashenko creates for Belarusians. Recently, with great difficulty, the rock band Bi-2 was saved from deportation to Russia. https://www.change.org/p/thailand-free-bi-2-rock-band
Currently, Russian citizen Vladislav Arinichev is under threat of deportation from Croatia. The reason is that Putin labeled him a "terrorist" and "extremist" for his anti-war statements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU2JQ9NArqo
In April, Novaya Gazeta Evropa reported that Rosfinmonitoring is adding both people suspected of terrorist activities and, for example, employees of an Orenburg gay bar in a case about the alleged "extremist LGBT movement" to this list. This list already contains more than 14,000 people, including well-known journalists, politicians, and theater figures. https://novayagazeta.eu/articles/2024/04/02/s-nachala-2024-goda-spisok-terroristov-i-ekstremistov-rosfinmonitoringa-popolnilsia-na-rekordnye-669-chelovek-17-iz-nikh-nesovershennoletnie-news

On July 26, he shared two working methods for bypassing the blocks and slowdowns of YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbTGhCYFIsY
These are the Ceno Browser and VPN generator. https://censorship.no/ru/download.html https://t.me/vpngeneratorbot/?start=BrSh2607
The Telegram channel "Tech Talk" published a link on how to purchase Amnezia VPN while bypassing the blocking of their main site. https://t.me/ru_tech_talk/543
They also provided instructions on how to connect MTProxy, which helped with Telegram blocking in 2018. https://t.me/ru_tech_talk/544
While Russians are protesting by installing VPNs, Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov burned the files of Russian draft dodgers at the Sudzha military registration and enlistment office, calling them "smart people." One of the comments under this video reads: "One Ukrainian soldier helped these people more than their native Russia." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qaeEidnquCE
On August 27 at 7 PM, we will hold a charity lecture on what a revolutionary situation is. The lecture will be given by political philosopher Ilya Budraitskis. We recommend registering using the phone number listed on the poster so that we can better understand how many viewers will attend. https://www.facebook.com/events/1021147643042506/

The Romanian / Norwegian / Greek / Middle East + European Tour version is really starting to hit many countries and cities now. Along with some photos of the current cast (from the respective webpages I have linked to underneath), here's a complete overview to where it has played so far, and where it will play in 2024-2025 (*):
JAN 2015: Teatrul National de Opereta, Budapest, ROMANIA. This was the prototype, directed by Stephen Barlow and designed by Andrew Riley. Leading trio was Adrian Nour, Irina Ioana Baiant and Florian Ristei, and it was performed in Romanian.
SEPT 2018 - MARCH 2019: Folketeateret, Oslo, NORWAY. This was a much updated version of the original Romanian production, with new costumes, and revamped sets and effects. Leading trio was Espen Grjotheim, Mira Ormala / Astrid Giske and Carl Lindquist, and it was performed in Norwegian.
JAN - MAR 2020: Thessaloniki Concert Hall and Christmas Theatre in Athens, GREECE. This was pretty much the Oslo production, but with some changes for tourability. From Greece on it has only been performed in English, regardless of the location. The original leading trio in Greece was Ben Forster, Celinde Schoenmaker / Amy Manford and Nadim Naaman. The production closed earlier than announced due to Covid.
FEB - MARCH 2023: Christmas Theatre in Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Hall, GREECE. Back in Greece, still in English, still an international cast, even more set and costume changes. This time the leading trio was Tim Howar, Harriet Jones / Georgia Wilkinson and Nadim Naaman.
OCT - DEC 2023: The Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Continuing most of what was the case in Greece, except Nadim Naaman took over the role of the Phantom from Tim Howar, and Dougie Carter took over as Raoul. Was now dubbed "The Middle East Tour". It was the first time a full-scale production of Phantom of the Opera was done in Saudi Arabia.
FEB - MARCH 2024: Dubai Opera, Dubai. Same cast and overall set-up as Riyadh. This production followed in the footsteps of the World Tour (original version), visiting Dubai in 2019.
APRIL 2024: National Palace of Culture, Sofia, BULGARIA. Same cast and overall set-up as Riyadh and Dubai. This was, I think, the first time a city has housed two different non-replica productions. Not at the same time, mind you, as this version touring has meant the local productions are now allowed to perform for some time. This was at least what was announced from the producers in Bulgaria, Serbia and the Czech Republic. Curious.
AUG - SEPT. 2024: National Palace of Culture, Sofia, BULGARIA. The production has announced its return to Sofia this autumn. This due to the sold-out initial run.
OCT 2024: Sagros Campo Pequeno, Lisbon, PORTUGAL. The production has announced a run there from October 15-27, 2024. A concert version has previously been performed in Portugal, but it will be the first time a full-scale production is done.
NOV - DEC 2024: Musical Theater Basel, Switzerland. The production has announced a run there from Nov. 6 to Dec 22, 2024. The original Swiss production 1995-1997 did a hardcore thing of perfoming in both German and English. It will therefore not be the first time POTO is performed there, nor the first time it is performed in English. But it is the first time this exact version visits, and the 1995-1997 one was the original version.
FEB - MARCH 2025: Stadsschouwburg, Antwerp, Belgium. The production has announced a run there from Feb. 6 to March 7, 2025. The original Belgian production ran from 1999-2000, and was performed in the local language, but it will be the first time it is performed in English. It will as such also be the 10th anniversary for this specific touring version, as it premiered in Romania in January 2015.
MARCH 2025: Kongresove Centrum, Prague, Czech Republic. The production has announced a run there from March 19-27, 2025. This means the local production 'Fantom Opery' at Goja Music Hall has been paused. According to the official website the Phantom will be Nadim Naaman, the role of Christine will be shared between Georgia Wilkinson and Bridget Costello, and Raoul will be Dougie Carter.
(*) More dates will likely follow. Kuwait was announced some time back, but cannot be found anywhere now. Also, the local Serbian production announced a break because another version was visiting, so I won't be surprised if Belgrade is added to the list later on.

Oh my god you hit the nail on the head! Chris is the main lead in ghosted !!! That’s what all this PR shit is about wowwwww I see
But when did he follow her? Did he know about Ghosted in Jan 2021 like idk
He followed her along with a lot of other girls affiliated with his agency back in end of 2020. That's not unheard of and as far as I know, the follow was not out of the ordinary and he followed a bunch of other people from said agency on the same day (maybe after an event? Who knows)
Anyway, they were not affiliated at all in January of 2021.
She didn't follow him back until Summer 2021 so up until that point, it could be because she was still in that whole Lucas Bravo situation (most likely also PR to some degree since they were in the same movie but im not sure)
That ends, she gets in contact with his team, they make an agreement. At this point he would already know about Ghosted, they always know several months inadvance. She follows back around June after they make an agreement and his movie is announced in August.
Then they start making content for this whole thing in November, as well as leaking stories to the press about them, but it doesn't catch on no one is buying it (back then, his fans still thought he wasn't the type to date that young)
LV trip and Lisbon video in January makes it a thing. That video was so intentional it hurts to think about. She's on the fans radars now. They keep watching.
That's where the true trolling really starts.
And the rest is history, lol
Chris had been single since Jenny, which ended for the last time in beginning of 2018. Thats five years single for a handsome guy who says he wants to settle down all the time. Red flag.
He hasn't done a rom-com since Playing It Cool in 2014 and hasn't been the lead in a movie since Gifted in 2017.
That one didn't even do that well despite him still being Cap at that point. They need this movie to do well, everything depends on it, especially since Defending Jacob didn't get much traction in 2020, either.
I'm telling y'all, they're desperate. His been playing supportive characters for a long time, this movie is about him. They're counting on thus movie carrying him rn. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the only lead he's been offered recently, either. In Red One and Pain Hustlers he's still just supporting.
It makes sense, you guys. It really does.

Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken is a photographic vignette by Yorgos Lanthimos. Although created on the set of the film Poor Things in Budapest, the book inhabits a separate world, untethered from time and place.
The photographs drift between black and white and colour, giving the impression of a waking dream between past and present, whilst multiple layers between reality and fiction are gradually revealed. The film was set in various late 19th century locations including London, Lisbon, Marseille, and a cruise ship—all recreated in Budapest. These constructed cities and interiors provide the backdrop for the photographs. The characters populate these imagined cities whilst the precarious screens, scaffolding, rigs, lighting and crew are divulged on the periphery of the images. Lanthimos has intentionally widened the frame to show the workings of the construct, fabricating a new story within the story. To mirror this, the publication is designed with foldouts to reveal these constructs within the cast of characters—the reader opens a book within a book.
In reaction to the fast-moving creation of the film, Lanthimos embraced the opportunity to use a large-format camera to make these images, focusing on stillness, tonality and light. Deciding on a composition and not changing this until the exposure was complete, each picture provided him with a meditative time of focus. The creative process of making the images extended to collaboration with the actress Emma Stone who played the role of Bella Baxter in the film, for which she was awarded an Oscar. Through working together on previous projects, Lanthimos and Stone have developed a unique creative partnership. After a busy day of filming, they would develop the colour 6x7 negatives and the b&w 4x5 sheet film together in a makeshift darkroom in a bathroom. This alchemic act offered them both a creative outlet beyond the realm and constraints of the film.
The title of the book ‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken’ comes from a postcard that the character of Bella Baxter was to send to her father, God, from Athens. The scene was cut from the final version of the film.
The book opens with a previously unpublished poem by Patti Smith, inspired by the film.
Tumblr media
Yorgos Lanthimos, was born in Athens, Greece. A versatile creative, in addition to directing dance and music videos, TV commercials, short films, and theatre plays, he has also photographed editorials and fashion campaigns. His breakthrough came with the film ‘Dogtooth’ (2009), earning an Un Certain Regard Prize at Cannes and an Oscar nomination. ‘The Lobster’ (2015) won a Jury Prize at Cannes and the European Film Awards. This was followed by ‘The Favourite’ (2018) which earned Olivia Colman an Oscar. His latest film, ‘Poor Things’, won Venice's Golden Lion and four Oscars. ‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken’ (Void) is Lanthimos' first photography monograph.

CR7: The Unstoppable Force of Football
Cristiano Ronaldo, often known as CR7, is more than just a football player. He's an unstoppable force in the world of sports, inspiring millions with his passion, talent, and relentless work ethic. Through platforms like Goexch9 via GharKiBook, fans, and analysts share stories of his extraordinary accomplishments, but to truly understand what makes CR7 a phenomenon, we must dive deeper into the essence of his game, mindset, and what he has contributed to the beautiful game of football.
A Journey from Humble Beginnings
Growing up in a working-class family, Ronaldo didn't have the privileges many of today's stars enjoy. His early life was marked by hardships, but it was also where he learned the values of hard work and perseverance. Ronaldo's passion for football began at a very young age, and by the time he was 12, he moved to Lisbon to join Sporting CP, one of the top football academies in Portugal.
What set Ronaldo apart from the beginning was his determination. He didn't just want to be a footballer; he wanted to be the best. His dedication to improving every single day, whether in training or in matches, was evident early on. While his talent was undeniable, it was his tireless work ethic that helped him stand out from the crowd. Even at a young age, Ronaldo had one clear goal in mind: to reach the highest levels of the sport. His commitment to this vision is what has driven him throughout his career.
Breaking Through the Big Leagues
Ronaldo's breakthrough moment came in 2003 when he was signed by Manchester United at the age of 18. Ronaldo evolved from a talented but raw winger into one of the most formidable players in the world. His ability to take on defenders, score spectacular goals, and make an impact in big matches quickly earned him recognition.
At Manchester United, Ronaldo's skills flourished. He won his first Premier League title and helped the team secure the 2008 UEFA Champions League. His dazzling performances and incredible goal-scoring ability turned him into an icon in England, but his journey was far from over. In 2009, Ronaldo made the world-shaking move to Real Madrid for a then-world record fee of £80 million.
The Real Madrid Legacy
At Real Madrid, Ronaldo took his game to new heights. In his nine years at the club, he became the face of the team and led them to numerous victories. With 450 goals in 438 appearances, he became the club's all-time top scorer, cementing his place as one of the best to ever play for Los Blancos. His exceptional performances helped Real Madrid claim four Champions League titles during his tenure, including three in a row from 2016 to 2018, a feat never seen before in the modern era.
But it wasn't just the goals that made Ronaldo a legend at Real Madrid. It was his leadership, his work ethic, and his commitment to winning. Ronaldo's relentless drive inspired his teammates and made them believe that anything was possible. He was a force of nature on the field, often taking the game into his own hands during the most critical moments. His ability to perform under pressure and lead by example made him a revered figure in Madrid.
Even during the toughest of times, Ronaldo never wavered. His consistency, resilience, and hunger for more pushed him to achieve remarkable milestones, such as becoming the high scorer in the UEFA Champions League. His ability to reinvent himself, whether as a winger or a center-forward, made him one of the most versatile players in the world.
Tumblr media
In the words of many football experts and on platforms like Goexch9 ID via GharKiBook, Ronaldo's time at Real Madrid proved that his potential was limitless. He wasn't just a player; he was a leader, a motivator, and a constant source of inspiration for the next generation of footballers.
A New Challenge: Juventus and Beyond
After leaving Real Madrid in 2018, Ronaldo took on a new challenge with Juventus in Italy. His move to Serie A stunned the football world, as many questioned whether he could continue his incredible run in a new league. However, Ronaldo proved once again that his talent and drive were unmatched. In his first season with Juventus, he led their football team to their eighth consecutive Serie A title, and he quickly became a key player for the club.
Ronaldo's impact on Juventus was immense. Not only did he continue to score goals at a record-breaking pace, but he also elevated the overall quality of the team. His experience, leadership, and determination to win were crucial in a competitive league. Ronaldo's presence in Serie A raised the profile of Italian football, and his performances on the field spoke for themselves.
His time at Juventus, however, was just one chapter in his ongoing journey. In 2021, Ronaldo made a return to Manchester United, proving that he still had more to give at the highest level. His return to Old Trafford was met with excitement, and fans around the world eagerly anticipated the next phase of his legendary career.
The CR7 Phenomenon Beyond Football
Cristiano Ronaldo's influence extends far beyond the football pitch. His brand, CR7, has become a global symbol, representing everything from sports apparel to fragrances. Ronaldo's commitment to fitness, health have made him a role model for fans worldwide. His work ethic, humility, and constant drive for improvement have made him a symbol of what it means to chase greatness.
Through platforms like Sports ID, Ronaldo's influence has spread to various aspects of sports and fitness, encouraging people not just to watch football but to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. He has also been a vocal advocate for responsible gambling, using his platform to promote healthy habits and the importance of making mindful choices.
Conclusion
Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the (G.O.A.T) footballers of all time. His ability to constantly reinvent himself, push his limits, and maintain an unmatched level of success is a testament to his incredible mindset. From his early days in Madeira to his incredible achievements with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and beyond, CR7 has proven that with hard work, dedication, and an unrelenting desire to be the best, anything is possible.
Whether on the football pitch, in the gym, or through his global ventures, Cristiano Ronaldo remains an unstoppable force, both in sports and in life. His journey is far from over, and as he continues to break records and inspire millions, one thing is certain: Cristiano Ronaldo will forever be a legend in the world of football.

Today marks the anniversary of our weekly demonstrations. For a whole year, we have been gathering here every Saturday at 14:30 outside the Russian Embassy in Lisbon.
Reflecting on why we hold these rallies, we remember the bitter anniversary - 2 years ago, we were shocked by footage of the Russian army's atrocities in Bucha and Irpen. Today, we aim to make a significant impact. https://ru.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/04/03/eu-trip-to-bucha
We are highlighting the Orphans Feeding Foundation and its founder, Mariam Lambert. They recently celebrated their 2nd anniversary in their mission to help Ukraine. In these 2 years, they've succeeded in repatriating 36 children to Ukraine and evacuating 112 people from frontline areas, including Bakhmut and Soledar. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/orphans-feeding_ukraine-standwithukraine-activity-7173940041415581696-vd-p
We're supporting their Bring Kids Back UA program and encourage others to do the same. Donation link below. https://www.orphans-feeding-foundation.org/bring-kids-back-ua-program/
Our second focus today is the Venezuelans' international protest for fair elections. Putin's recent self-reappointment, masquerading as an election, mirrors dictator Nicolas Maduro's plans for July 28.
Maria Corina Machado has been unfairly barred from the Venezuelan presidential election by the government. https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar%C3%ADa_Corina_Machado The Venezuelan authorities are obstructing the registration of the united opposition candidate, Professor Corina Yoris, supported by Maria and winner of the primaries. https://apnews.com/article/venezuela-election-machado-opposition-candidate-13cf51349679a63ed679967c218aa959 More than 5 million Venezuelans abroad are being denied registration for voting, citing lack of voting machines. https://www.batimes.com.ar/news/latin-america/venezuelas-huge-diaspora-struggles-to-register-to-vote-for-election.phtml
The motivations for the protest are:
Support for Maria Corina Machado, denouncing that her political rights continue to be violated. And at the same time, the arbitrariness of the Maduro's regime in not allowing a unitary candidacy represented by Professor Corina Yoris.
For the cessation of human rights violations, political persecutions and arbitrary arrests of the members of the Campaign Command of the Maria Corina Machado's political party.
Due to the requirement of electoral conditions to be able to vote abroad. Venezuelan embassies and consulates around the world are violating the right to elect more than 4 million Venezuelans who are able to vote.
Remember, the 2018 Venezuelan elections were not recognized by Europe, the U.S., and most Latin American countries. Additionally, there are about 300 political prisoners in Venezuela. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Venezuelan_presidential_election
In Russia, the number of political prisoners has reached several thousand. https://meduza.io/feature/2023/11/23/skolko-lyudey-v-rossii-presleduyut-po-politicheskim-motivam-po-kakim-statyam-obychno-sudyat-politzaklyuchennyh-a-kakoy-region-samyy-opasnyy-s-tochki-zreniya-repressiy
Join us on Tuesday, April 9, for a screening of “The Dmitriev Case.” This film highlights the struggle of an elderly historian against the Russian government's erasure of history, leading to his imprisonment for 15 years. After the film, we'll discuss the preservation of historical memory and Russia's historical policy. https://www.tickettailor.com/events/libertylisbon/1217415

mare liberum?
mare liberum is an old, old multichapter...i can't even remember the last time i posted a complete chapter, and i think it lost all but one of its regular readers (thank you zuzu, even though you're not reading this). i have no idea if i'll ever finish it, even though some of the remaining 7 or 8 chapters are already drafted.
mare liberum is an au set in fake 19th century fake lisbon, and it's a šejan with past movren. i know, i know, this is sort of vintage, as šejan is no longer a thing and its protagonist (dejan lovren) is sort of...out of favor in the world, but this is fiction and it's an AU so it's fictional fiction. it also features as side characters the 2018 croatia nt squad, and has a lot of really fun cameos from other players as well.
part of why i haven't worked on it is that the end is so sad that when i wrote it i started crying, and another part is that the main character is representing a part of me that i think has kind of been therapised into the past. which is good! in the fic, we have slutty gay Sailor Dejan, who's full of a lot of self-loathing and loneliness. he became a sailor to avoid having to be a gay married man, and whilst at sea his beloved younger brother died of ~consumption (it's the fake 19th century and a sad story, so this is obligatory). he becomes violent and an alcoholic to an extent and feels like he deserves all of this misery and pain, possibly because god is punishing him for his sexual orientation. after an extremely violent altercation with sailor sergio ramos over Mo, dejan has to escape his friends on the ship Anfield and Captain Klopp and miraculously finds the Vatreni, a croatian ship where he finds a happy home. or does he? something is still missing. when they dock in an unnamed city and are stuck there because of this unstopping rainstorm, dejan meets a strange and captivating man at the Gay Sailor Bar and Inn where they are all trapped during the storm. this man is šime, and dejan falls instantly in love with him, but there's just something...off about him that can't be named, and he travels with a crew of very alarming and off-putting individuals. dejan hopes šime's love will be the answer to his problems at long last, but as their feelings deepen and the rain doesn't let up, things grow stranger for sailor dejan. who is this šime--or what is he?
you can read the first 11 chapters here if you're interested. the major character death warnings aren't really for anything but the unpublished last chapter, tho there is some character death throughout. spoilers: in one of the chapters, cronald mcdonald gets gnawed to death by some sort of...mysterious creature.
