#legend of zelda#loz#twilight princess#loz tp#i'm still reeling that someone sent me an ask about this one.. that they took the time to find my tumblr and tell me they liked it#it really meant a lot; thank you to anyone that stops to leave comments like that. they make me happy#but yeah! here's the usual symbolism ramble:#i thought it'd be cool to have the 'spirits' flowing one way and the cats walking through them the other way#to kinda show the difference in life inhabiting the village in the past and present#link's face is covered because impaz was just waiting for 'the hero' so his clothes are what matters; not his face#and it (hopefully) gives a surreal and intangible sense to 'the hero' she could only hope would actually show up#you can feel free to interpret the glowy blue sheikah as ghosts or just as memories of the past! i couldn't decide either way#the one on the bottom left is oot impa since she's implied to be the village founder. so i guess she would be a ghost actually?#fan art#my art#project stuff#and ahhh the book-- everyone's stuff is so beautiful!!#especially the writing. some of the fics made me really tear up and some were so fun and clever. i really love them#a lot of them captured the sheer burden of the role of the sheikah; all of the time and grief and doubt#i know i always say this stuff about every project but. the people i get to work with in these are truly so skilled every time

I drew this for a timeline thing for my original zelda story but TBH that's coming along pretty slowly and this is funny enough to post on its own.
#legend of zelda#the legend of zelda#a link to the past#legend of zelda a link to the past#link to the past#link#link (legend of zelda)#link (loz)#loz#the timeline thing is basically my covering of what happens between/after games in my OG story#filling in the blanks and going over how things went down (and how I might have changed things from canon)#I actually have most of the hero of legend's stuff fully drawn because I honestly didn't change that much for him LOL#i did draw him getting struck by lightning though. three times#the more interesting stuff is with the hero of hyrule (also writing a fic related to that) and the hero of time#because. this is the decline timeline. he died#not really spoilers but in my AU the point of divergence is basically that ganondorf took the triforce of wisdom from zelda#while link was fighting his way through the castle#and the resulting power boost meant that link exhausted himself fighting his first form#so he died to the second#there's a bit more to it than that but i'll leave that as a surprised :)#also yes this is supposed to emulate the piece of official art where lttp link is taking a nap in the shade :)#this happens like 2.5 seconds after that lol

On the subject of silly little experiments, here’s another one! I still struggle with foreshortening and painting so I don’t think this turned out perfectly, but it gets across what I was going for. I don’t watch tv very often anymore but I ended up watching Oshi no Ko because I got super obsessed with Idol and the plot intrigued me, and aside from one major caveat I actually really enjoyed it! Hoshino Ai, you’re a real one ＊
#art#digital#oshi no ko#hoshino ai#*objectively untrue by a couple metrics#for those curious the caveat is that I was not satisfied with the amount/way in which they wrestle with the issue of what does and does not#constitute acceptable romantic/sexual attraction in the cololicated situation the characters find themselves in#but if you can get past that and can handle how dark it gets (which for some reason the only comparison I can come up with for how dark it#gets is doki doki literature club of all things) then it’s a fun time#I really liked all the female characters which is unusual for me when it comes to anime!#also idk why everyone draws Ai in that other outfit from that one promotional render (and I think the cover of the first manga chapter?)#she never wears that one in the show and I like this one wayyyyyy better#*complicated situation; not going back to fix that#Oh for anyone curious in English the Japanese lyrics I used for the link are something like#Someday I will surely take everything in my hands; looks like I’m a greedy idol!

#feeling bad that i cant just be content to post something#but when i get 4 notes or 20 notes or 50 notes it's not enough#and when i get thousands of views on youtube videos it's the ones that i no longer have any attachment to#like im supposed to give a shit about capturing that lightning in a bottle when its a song im not proud of anymore#that i made at a point in my life im glad is over#ive met a couple fans who have mentioned liking kirby pride and kirbtober specifically#and it makes me so happy that they like the stuff that i still like#i knlw i should like my backlog but#to me they serve as keepsakes and nothing more#a stepping stone to where i was when i started my minecraft cover “series”#that lead me to kirby pride#which lead me to making songs easier which lead me to kirbtober#which burnt me out and lead me to I need to#which exists but only in my head#and on my computer#the album so close yet so far#every step i take towards completing it the clearer it is that the goal is at the horizon#and oh my god thats only the first half#i guess i should try not to spoil part 2 but its still too much in a concept phase#as much as i hate that#the first half is called 'I need to' and it's an album about my experiences after i graduated in 2022 and links awakening#about stagnation#wasting my time#part 2 is called 'wake up'#and it's about my choice at the end of Links awakening#to stop playing after i opened the wind fish's egg#moving past the world i knew was too hard a thought to bear#so i buried it#i havent seriously touched the game after that#and in a way that i cant explain to myself in a way other than music i feel as though i have done this
