4. Did you read a fic that just stuck with you this year? What was it? Honestly, I didn't read a single fic this year. 🤦‍♀️ I read a lot of books, but no fics. Except for a couple of my really old ones that I found and never posted.

10. Is there a story you’ve been wanting to write for a while now that you’re hoping to get to in the new year? Spill a few beans about it! I have a couple of WIPs that I want to work on in 2025! I want to work on rewriting/editing my sapphic contemporary romance novel. I've been struggling with it for the past couple of years, but I've recently worked through a couple of blocks with it, and I think I'm back on track. And I have a new sapphic friends-to-lovers novel that I've started and would love to work more on it in 2025.

End of the Year Writing Asks

i miss punk in aew, because i love all eliate wrestling. it's fresh it's new it's exciting. I understand, its been four years but it still has that fresh take on it, ( tbh) IMO WWE JUST LINGERS and it's been a top business for decades beyond decades. and i think when we want, professional wrestling, we want new we want change we want to constantly evolve, now imo i see wwe doing that, but i don't agree with their antics on some things.. so i tend to follow aew because imo it serves wrestling for ME. not for anyone, else, but ME. but i dont think he was properly happy there. i think he was confused with wwe and how they felt with him , and he wanted to be in wrestling somehow and aew was a stepping stone for him, to get back to wwe tbh.

that's just my opinion i don't give a shit what others think and i don't give a shit if none of that made sense. its wrestling were watching wrestlers wrestle for some 3 minute matches anyways it's my opinion so enjoy or don't!

2. Which character or story did you daydream about the most this year? Was there a favorite daydream scenario that you hope to translate into fic? I didn't really think or daydream much* about fics this year, but I did spend a lot of time trying to work through some plot points for my contemporary romance novel so I can get down to editing in 2025. I *think* I've figured things out now, though! (*Although I did contemplate a Din/Lira scene involving a haircut for Din for A Soft Place to Land, but whether it will ever get written or not is anybody's guess.)

9. What about experimenting with trope, style, theme, etc? Anything you’re looking to take a swing at this year for the first time? Hmm I'm not sure if I'm going to experiment with anything new this year, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to rewrite my entire novel in 1st person instead of 3rd, if that counts?

End of the Year Writing Asks

Track 2s- TTPD & imgonnagetyouback

TTPD is unique in that it’s the only song we have from Taylor while she’s actively with Matty. as has been noted before, these other tracks are either longing for him and the escape he offers, or reeling from the end of it all. this is that entire schrodinger’s universe of May 2023: Matty the golden retriever, the two of them hanging out and enjoying each other’s company, remembering why they connected so well, etc. it’s the pap walk dinners and articles about them hanging out and having fun. we also see for the first time that there was more to this then simply “kissing when they have time” when we get to the bridge: he’s talking to her about marriage and she’s over the moon. (note he doesn’t actually buy her a ring, because he’s a fucking loser. he just uses a ring she’s already wearing to make a point.) still, the messaging here is positive despite the red flags: look what a great thing this is! so different from my last relationship with that OTHER tortured poet, who did cowrite with me but wouldn’t commit to me in any other way and wasn’t a lot of fun.

imgonnagetyouback tells a different story. taylor is not actually moving on, but is now struggling with these two relationships at the same time. maybe Matty is actually it for her or… maybe he’s the rebound shot heard round the world to make sure joe knows exactly what he lost. imo this song isn’t about being unsure which choice you want to make re: one person (reconciliation or vengeance), it’s questioning the motivations behind each of her moves.

lilac short skirt, the one that fits me like skin: am I wearing this to look good for my current boyfriend, or to get back at my ex? haven’t decided yet, but it’s successful at both!

small talk, big love, act like I don’t care what you did: she is sharing constant small graces with people (likely the media) and informing them that what joe did doesn’t matter. she has a big love now, alls well! but is this acting to make him miss her, or is it to make him try and get her back?

Bygones will be bygone eras fadin' into gray (fadin' into gray) / We broke all the pieces but still want to play the game (oh)/ Told my friends, "I hate you but I love you just the same": she’s letting everything go because she’s moved on, but wait! she’s still playing a game with someone who broke all the pieces- so is she letting go because they’re letting bygones be bygones, or is she letting go as part of this game they’re still playing? she hates this person but also loves them still. does she want them to be miserable, or successful and happy, without her in their life?

going with the theory of public perception vs private life, we have A-Side (TTPD) suggesting hopeful new relationship moving towards a serious commitment and B-Side suggesting that she experienced a lot more turmoil over Joever than we realized

ummmmm we all knew he was winning already, it just was beyond obvious the direction they were heading with him. ion get why people cant see that, maybe they do and then they have this like small glimpse of well maybe x or x would take it then damian would do something... but then again im just over here going.....

So, we just got back home not long ago, immediately went to sleep because y'know many hour flight (which was chaos in of itself). I wake up feeling horrible and open my eyes to find a fat orange cat sleeping wedged between me and my wife's heads, kneading my pillow like he owns it and purring so loud I can barely hear myself think.

I cannot stress enough how fat this cat is, I have no idea how it got in here, and I'm starting to suspect that Lindsey does know our address because she's the only person mischievous enough to do something like this. On the other hand, it's totally out of character for her to just leave a cat somewhere.

I cannot find where this cat got in from, I'm not totally convinced it can move it's so round, and its shed hair has begun spreading throughout the apartment and so I'm struggling to breathe.

Someone please come get this cat I fear I may die
