"You got yourself a deal. My limit is 300," Julie grinned. She happily fell into step with Lindsey like they knew each other for the past couple of years. A few pairs of eyes drifted their way. Julie recognized some of them -- they probably thought she was a traitor for even allowing anyone from Obsidian Holdings within five feet of her. Julie ignored them. Caid was the Top Hand -- not Julie. Hector and Alicia Santiago were the enemy -- not Lindsey Gallagher.

As they mosied around a few random sculptures, Julie considered the question. "Landscapes for the salon. We're sort of like Western chic," Julie explained, then paused, frowning. "Have you been here this long without actually stepping foot into Shear? Have I been guarding the place that hard?"

Lindsey didn't have many female friendships. At least, not the kind of friendships that were real in any sense of the word. The women in her circle tended to be cattier, the kind of people who smiled while turning the knife in your back. Lindsey, herself, was often like this, using friendships as currency, but there was something about Julie Hollis that was a complete antithesis to the friends she'd had throughout her life, something that screamed authenticity. "I..." She paused. She'd been prepared to argue that, although the offer was extravagant in monetary value, it was simply a gesture, and there was no harm in accepting a gesture. She hadn't been expecting the counter offer, though, which made her smile. Linds was very rarely taken by surprise. "I'm happy to accept your offer. Though I reserve final judgment on the piece we choose."

With a tip of her chin, Lindsey set off at a slow pace around the gallery. "Is there a specific aesthetic you'd like to maintain? Or a type of piece you'd think would most fit the salon? A landscape, maybe? Or something more abstract?"

Yesterday I went to the pool, and while I was resting from the water, I was drawing on the grass.

On Instagram I asked my followers to suggest things to me, and in the end a lot of things came out xD

Rhett had a love-hate relationship with these sort of events. The hate came in because he hated wearing a suit, however he loved to be social so here he was. Plus he got to see Lindsey. "If it isn't my favorite Membership Officer," Rhett said with a smile. Rhett and Lindsey worked together quite a bit. He found her easy to work with, and while he was able to provide her stats on the property value, letting her run her own way made his job a lot easier. The benefit of having someone capable in the role.

Despite his rise through the company, Rhett was far from a dark horse — even if that little detail was kept out of the majority of the people within Obsidian. Rhett suspected that if anyone knew, it was The CIO, and of course, Joel. Family picnics, and all. "I heard a vicious rumor that you were redecorating your home. You planning on parting with that van der Rohe chasse lounge? I know an excellent home, if so." Rhett paused. "My office, that is."

After months worth of back-and-forth, Joel managed to sell his San Diego penthouse and purchase a Spanish bungalow in Paxton's Eastmark neighborhood. It was a coincidence that his house was only a few blocks away from Obsidian's La Hacienda Hotel. As much as Joel wished to put distance between himself and his work, it seemed next to impossible. Then, he remembered that some parts of Obsidian weren't that bad -- like being near Lindsey again. Childhood friends turned college classmates, and now workmates. Amidst Joel's skyscraper of moving boxes, Lindsey sat on his couch like queen of their own little city.

Joel took an experimental bite from a slice of Prairie Pies white pizza and shook his head. "Call me plain, but I don't think white pizzas are for me," he said, sitting the half eaten slice back into the box to pick from a different option. They had the white pizza, a pepperoni, and a vegetable -- Lindsey told him he had to try them. "All I can say is, I hope one of these is fine, or else I'm jumping ship and moving to Phoenix or Tuscon," Joel said, scooping up a slice of pepperoni, "So, outside of pizza, what other places have earned a five-star approval from Lindsey Gallagher?"

Well, I got a little excited practicing. This comic arose a little from wanting to practice hands, poses, comics, and backgrounds with lighting, and in the process show how Eva realized that she liked Shadow, because although she had feelings for him, she wasn’t sure until she had that the dream that all her doubts were taken away xDDD
