Some ramblings for the recent episode because why not.
Some spoilers for “Show Mama from the Grave” from Bob’s Burgers
Well, I might as well say this regarding Bob's last visit to his mom's grave while looking through the episode while working on the review, and will be brought up once it's released this week. And that is, of course, the timeframe of the visit.
So if you possibly look at the math & possibly the history regarding Bob, we know that Bob's Mom, Lily died when Bob was young. Looking at the math, knowing the Bob's birthday episodes (“The Laser-inth” & “Are You There Bob, It’s Me Birthday”) can mess things up regarding Bob’s age, we know that Lily died when Bob was young. Around 12-13 years of age.
And I get that no one wants to lose a relative in your early years. But the time frame for when Bob brought up being the last time he paid a visit to the grave. Note the 20 years that he brought up when at the office for a map to locate the grave of his dead mother.
20 years. Sure, Bob's memory can be a bit fuzzy in this episode since his last visit but he did mention 20 years since he last paid a visit to his mom's grave. But then something hits me about the timeframe of the visit to the site while working on the episode review.
20 years was the last time Bob paid a visit to the graveyard. Guess what else happened 20 years ago? Oh yeah, the fallout between him and Big Bob. You know that flashback in "Father of the Bob" with Bob in his 20s, calling his dad out and not want to work together with him.
So if I were to guess and I'm going to be incredibly wrong that I might as well shop for a clown costume, that was the last time Bob went to his mom's grave. After the fallout. After moving out. Telling his dead mother what just happened while at his grave site.
It would boil down to what the dynamic of the family was like before Lily's death. Asking his mom while at her grave, telling her what he should do and such. And I guess I wouldn't rule out Big Bob's visit as well following what happened because he had to. Not ruling his visit out.
Asking her what went wrong and what he should do to try to patch things up. But yeah, 20 years, doing the math even though Bob's age might be an issue with the calculations, would be the fallout between him and his dad. And that has to be the last time Bob visited his mom.
I'm so going to be called out for this because of what I'm saying but for once, let me say this. It's going to be on the episode review sometime tomorrow night anyway. So just a small food for thought ready to rot away.

I have little Bobby headcanons to offer.
Cooking means so much to Bob bc he cherishes the little good memories he did have with his Mom when he was a child
The first book Bob ever reads word for word is a cookbook that he reads sitting at a table in his dads restaurant that his mom (when she was around) sits down and reads with him. She also reads it to him sometimes.
(Whenever he missed her as a teenager he would read that cook book they always read together and he would start to cry thinking about her)
Bob starts asking questions about the recipes in the book and how to cook them because he thought the food looked really tasty in the pictures of the food. Him and his mom start bookmarking recipes that they end up making together, they vow to complete the recipe book together.
When they cook together Lily let’s Bob play with the food while she’s cooking sometimes he spills the thing she needs
He breaks some eggs playing egg wrestling with them so Lily gets new eggs and takes egg wrestling to the next level, Bob gives the eggs egg pun names (Eggatha and Fregg for example) and she does a dramatic wwe smack down match with them
His interest for thanksgiving food begins with a cranberry sauce recipe that they cook together and it’s his favorite recipe in the book. Later this recipe would ALWAYS make Bob think of his Mom.

On the one hand - Bob liking thanksgiving because he just does and wants it to be perfect because people are Just Like That, and he enjoys cooking a lot and thanksgiving is his favourite holiday and he wants it perfect. ON THE OTHER HAND, THOUGH - the reason he always wants a perfect thanksgiving is because his mom died around or just before thanksgiving, and he loves it because he used to help his mom around the kitchen, and he wants everything perfect because he's unconsciously trying to recapture the way it was before she died.

y’all, imagine if Lily was Louise’s middle name.

I wish we knew how lily died
Same. My headcanon is that Lily's cause of death was cancer, mostly due to the fact that Bob remembers her wearing a winter hat "because she didn't feel like doing her hair." My assumption is that the reality was Lily's hair was soon going to start falling out from chemotherapy treatment, and so she would wear a hat to cover up the bald spots.

I hope we find out an official death date for Lily Belcher soon. It’s a critical part of a future fanfic. I currently assume that it’s May 27th (Bob’s Burgers Movie release date) mostly because we finally got to see her.

How do you think lily belcher died
I originally thought of being crushed by a tree or something heavy because Big Bob was crushed and survived, so I thought Lily would go through the same thing but didn't make it out. But as time progresses, I had to backpedal.
So how Lily died, comes down to a few things and the most mentions that I'd seen throughout the web would be a terminal illness like cancer. Mostly because of the hat even though Bob states that she likes wearing the hat because she doesn't like doing her hair. So terminal illness wouldn't be too far out of the realm of possibility. Also wouldn't rule out a stroke, a freak accident. I don't know about taking her own life. But for now, it might be leaning towards her dying of terminal illness as the best guess.
