On the one hand - Bob liking thanksgiving because he just does and wants it to be perfect because people are Just Like That, and he enjoys cooking a lot and thanksgiving is his favourite holiday and he wants it perfect. ON THE OTHER HAND, THOUGH - the reason he always wants a perfect thanksgiving is because his mom died around or just before thanksgiving, and he loves it because he used to help his mom around the kitchen, and he wants everything perfect because he's unconsciously trying to recapture the way it was before she died.

guys. guys. what woud Bob be like at the restaurant without Linda? Probably pretty grouchy and sullen, right? Especially if he idk maybe only had one kid who was already not super outgoing? What would happen to him if he lost Linda? What if Big Bob was almost like Bob until he lost Lily????

I am once again thinking about bob saying that linda makes working at the restaurant fun

Thinking about the Belchers ethnicities (I think that's the word)

We know Linda's family is Italian,at least on her mother's side,as her maiden name is Gennaro which is very Italian,we have a whole episode dedicated to her mother's side which is practically all Italian.Though we know practically nothing about Al's heritage ,but I wouldn't be surprised if he was also Italian.

Now,Bob's side of the family is a bit more inconcrete, but I have a general idea

So Lily's last name was Lombard which is the Americanized version of the surname Lombardo which is an Italian last name that was carried by people from Lombardy Italy.So we know that on Bob's maternal grandfather's side he's Italian.On Alice's side we know little to nothing,her maiden name is unknown,as well as her mother's surname,nor do we know anything about Alice's father.It appears that both Alice and Gertie have curly hair though I am not exactly sure if that I'd the case as it could be just be a stylized version of the type of hair that was popular at the time.Additionally,they're from Brooklyn so there is a high possibility that they are Italian or have some Italian blood in them,but Brooklyn is also a very diverse place,especially back then.

Now for Bob's patneral side,which frankly is very hard to pin down.We know very little about Big Bob.We do not know were he is from.Nor anything about his parents or other family members.From multiple sources it says the surname derives from French but the English took it(as they do.they har so many French loan words) ,and is now common throughout England and Ireland.Though I don't think that really helps us here,since whenever someone in his family might've immigrated to the US it could've been changed to assimilate the family to the country.(I also don't wish to consider the last name too carefully as it was just meant to be a joke) .Now,what things do we know about Big Bob? He's dark and hairy,he was born around 3 years before WWII,and he's from somewhere in New England.Other than that, we know very little.

Now, getting into headcanon territory,to me, it seems like Big Bob wasn't really raised with a religion or much of a culture that his parents had.My idea is that his parents were immigrants(both immigrating during their childhoods,when in their childhoods that im not sure of),though I'm not sure where either of them would be from ,though they'd both be Jewish.The reason why he's so separated from the cultures,is that during both of his parents childhoods they were shamed and beaten at schools they attended and the like,as what was common at the time.And because of it they felt ashamed of the cultures they grew up in,and didn't speak their first languages later in life at least not often.And they didn't wish to teach Big Bob either because of it,nor did they raise Big Bob jewish either,not really anyway.Just an idea

I hope we find out an official death date for Lily Belcher soon. It’s a critical part of a future fanfic. I currently assume that it’s May 27th (Bob’s Burgers Movie release date) mostly because we finally got to see her.
