Ninette has arrived! She’s such a cutie! ☺️

Millie Choupie was the first Lillycat doll that I had seen, and she had me looking and waiting for the right preorder. That led to Madeleine, my Charly, and now her.

Like with Madeleine, I had her use the eyes she came with and didn’t get another pair in advance. These ones look really nice 😊

My Dollzone Nana is also expected today, so I was right that she might get here a day early lol. She’s being delivered with a different mail service, so I have to wait for them now. I’m excited! I’ll post pictures of her too later today.

I made a festive jacket for Nami a few days ago. Vintage patterned thai silk, decorated with gold cord. I haven’t pressed the seam of the sleeves yet as I need a new ironing board.

I’m torn on what to make to go with this. I’m thinking black, dark brown or reddish brown silk trousers (maybe a bit wide, maybe somewhat pleated), but I cannot decide if I want them plain or not...

I got the email yesterday, but I’m still excited, so I need to talk about it more. lol

Yesterday, the email came saying that my Lillycat Charly is being prepared, and she’s the first artist doll, and of course Lillycat doll, that I’ve gotten. She’s also going to be my first tan doll (though I have ordered another and will be ordering Millie Choupie when she goes up for order.)

I’ve had her wig and clothes ready. It’s going to be so cool to have her. Like, when I joined the hobby, I put getting a Lillycat doll on my mental “goal” list.

Also, I’ve been finding it so cool to see dolls from different companies and now artists too. Even if I’ve developed a bit of a favorite one going off of sculpts and poseability lol

I just got the tracking number for my Dollzone Nana fullset, and she’s already almost here. Like, it says Tuesday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes Monday.

It thought she’d take another month if not two since she’s a fullset, but nope, she’s almost here. Wait was 7 1/2 months 😊

Of course, that means that I’m getting two dolls this week, possibly the same day if my Nana comes a day early. A fun surprise!

The int coming Monday is my Lillycat Millie Choupie. Her name is gonna be Ninette.

Then my Nana is going to be named Shelly. I had put Christmas money towards her layaway. She, along with the little story they had for her, reminded me of The Crow, which I grew up watching since it’s my mom’s favorite movie.

Pro bjd artists day by Nymrah Via Flickr: I am a few days late, due to stuff to cooperating, but here I am. I am very anti recast, I'm pretty sure anyone who follows me knows this. This year I chose my Lillycat dolls to be features, because I have amassed quite a few of them and most of them have a lil story of how I got them.

One of the things that makes people buy recasts is because they want instant gratification. I think we all do to some extent. But this is a hobby of patience. Sometimes you wait 7 months for a body (my purple Lyse) and sometimes you bide your time and wait til that certain one pops up on the secondhand market (my OOAK colored Ombre).

If you can't make enough money right away, there's things like layaway (my Kitty Jolie and Deavon were bought straight from Lillycat using layaway) and sometimes you just find a good deal (Ninon and Millie Choupie were secondhand for reasonable prices).

And last but not least, one of the arguments I see is that people want a doll in a color that doesn't exist. Well, I wanted a black Lyse after seeing MisMantis dye hers black and that's how I got a black Lyse. There are people in the hobby that can help you achieve your dream doll. We have so many creative spirits.

You should not cut corners at the expense of others. If you are opposed to spending money or opposed to waiting, this hobby isn't the right hobby for you.

Anyone know of clothes that fit lillycat millie choupie? All I find on etsy are either oversized sweaters or really frickin intricate dresses like holy shit.
