After he is accidentally freed, he charges up to Paris to pick a fight with the (for the most part long dead) friends he believes betrayed him.

Alright it’s been a hot minute but we are back on the island like no other !!

Let me tell you all about the guardian angels (and their, uh, let’s call them friends for now)

The island initiative is a program designed to create a habitable place for human survivors of the apocalypse, and these characters are the ones who are going to do it.

Guardians and Survivors

1. Opal, Guardian of Project Odyssey. Opal’s job is to rebuild the lost city to give the survivors a home once they arrive. Her school is Nature and she is element 284 of the Colossus Region

2. Ignis, Guardian of project Calypso. Ignis has to hold back the inferno in the jungle so that a stable ecosystem can re-establish itself. Her school is Ember and she is element 246 of the Inferno System

3. Stella, Guardian of project Edge. Stella was tasked with bringing joy back to the island, so she built a racetrack for survivors and guardians to take a break from their responsibilities and enjoy each other’s company. Her school is Fun and she is element 213 of the Stealth System

4. Lilith, Guardian of project Dylan. Somebody has been causing all sorts of problems in the Old Town and it’s Lilith’s job to catch them. Her school is Metal and she is element 256 of the Saw Belt.

5. Sara, Guardian of Project LCXII. Sara takes care of the alien creatures known as The Swarm, and interprets for them when they speak. Her school is Prophecy and she is element 212 of the Safeiran System

6, 7. Darryl and Xiva, guardians of project X. They created the safe zone. Darryl was tasked with registering and quarantining every new arrival, and Xiva planned an insane welcome party. Their school is equilibrium and they are element 234 of the Solar System.

8. Flora, no project assigned. Flora works in amity cove with Stella, but has no assigned project. She fled to the island after a tsunami destroyed her home, and was among the very first survivors to join the initiative. Her school is Tempest, and she is element 200 of System Zero

9. Delta, Guardian of Project Whitechapel. Delta’s job is to implement a practical and stable infrastructure across the island. This may sound like a lot of work, but they’re never alone, as they have a certain affinity for finding and befriending lost souls. Their school is Spirit and they are element 235 of the Scarlet Vales.

10. Echo, no project assigned. Like Flora, Echo doesn’t have a specific project. She works with Ignis in the jungle, and has a watchtower from which she can keep an eye on the island. However, she forgot to install stairs, so only she and Delta can actually get in. Her school is Chaos and she is element 246 of the Avarine Quarter.

Others of Note

Ms Tatiana Thorpe, Guardian of the Island Initiative. She brought all the guardians together and is the founder of the island initiative. Her school is Unity and she is element 275 of the Alyan System

Eve, former guardian of the northern point. Eve quit being a guardian after an invasion occurred under her watch. Nobody quite knows why she didn’t do more to fight back. Her school is unknown, but she is element 226 and she won’t tell anybody which system that relates to

Joy, no project assigned. Joy is one half of the duo that’s been causing all sorts of mayhem for Lilith in Old Town. She was an employee at the Ministry of Joy, though her reason for leaving is unknown. Her school was never assigned, and she is element 234 of the Solar System.

Melanie, no project assigned. Joy’s perpetually tired counterpart, and relative to the Lord of Darkness. She and Joy attended Alton House for Coaster Keepers (a boarding school) together and then joined the ministry straight out of school. Melanie was set to become Oblivion’s next keeper, while Joy was just a smile assistant. Why she gave up that life to follow Joy around, we will never know. Her school was never assigned and she is element 234 of the Solar System.

lol i have a handful so this is going under the cut

Marie is single but Looking At Naomi. Marie does a lot of things out of spite, and people told her not to adopt teens but gUESS WHAT SHE DID!!!!! Vale gives her tough love but she’d kill anyone who makes her mom sad

Shiro + Blaire have a ??? relationship and often run into each other when one is babysitting for someone else. they comment on how the other is so good with kids and then the conversation gets awkward as they both get super blushy

Cyko + Phantom don’t actually have custody over anyone, but they’re the fun bi/gay uncles that occasionally steal Green Jester/Yuki and Akki to hang out sometimes

Seiya is the weird, awkward uncle, and I’Ba has a very ??? relationship with Nova, they both share Kilios but Nova takes him in at the end of the day. Cyko WILL kick Kilios’ ass for being a little shit and constantly making fun of Phantom

Xiao- honestly who tf knows; she says she’s taken but like 5 ppl respond when she says “babe” at the store

Same goes for Lilith, but she claims she’s single X + Lyte love and support Cyto but they just can’t understand why he idolizes Cyko so much

Clover just. she has the hots for literally all of the guys who are not explicitly gay. she needs a boyfriend someone come get her she wants to go half and she’s desperate

Mitsuko and Nanoko both live at the shrine that became a makeshift orphanage for children, with Zeijur on-call when things get busy

Eve, Adam, + Alice are on the younger side of the 5-star age-spectrum, so they babysit all of the DJs’ kids and also visit the shrine

Magy also sometimes drops by people’s families and steals the children’s affection and the parents’ alcohol

A lot of the Light-elemental Units hook up with each other in a weird poly-but-not-quite mess

General relationship notes

hooking up with a type weaker/stronger than you is an automatic power imbalance (i.e. a Water Unit dating a Fire Unit)

if you’re dating outside your element cycle, you’re fine (i.e. a Water Unit dating a Light Unit)

dating a Unit with the same element increases both your power/strengths and makes your weaknesses hit less hard
