after doodling lily's initials on his exam, he then crossed it out quickly before leaving the hall

he also tries to pretend he doesn't really care what lily thinks of him after she goes off at him then storms away

Its funny remembering that in a way Mulciber and Avery are more respectful than The Marauders.

Cause The Marauders bully Lily's ex best friend Severus, despite James being in love with Lily and them claiming to be the good guys. Like bro if you want the girl befriend her best friend, damn.

And Mulciber and Avery, who are friends or acquaintances with Severus which is said by Lily, apparently don't do shit to Lily cause when she tries to get Severus to see how bad they are she only brings up the shit Mulciber did to Mary, someone Severus doesn't even know. Avery & Mulciber are clearly blood purists so they would obviously talk shit and I really think they'd talk shit about Lily wether they were friends with Severus or not cause she's a muggleborn and a gryffindor.

Yet Severus still hangs out with them and has no other issues with them especially cause he'd throw a fit if they talked shit about Lily. And if he did they'd clearly hex him cause they won't take shit from a half blood. Like wether they left Lily alone in an effort to keep Severus on their side to recruit him or not, they seemed smarter then the marauders. Cause while they didn't try to befriend her obviously, they knew if they wanted Severus on their side they didn't target the one person he truly cares about.

Now wether Mulciber and Avery were really close to Severus or not they still didn't target Lily or say shit cause I feel like they would considering how much James goes after her so they'd hear a lot about her. I feel like they'd attack her out of annoyance or berate her incase they thought she believed she was all that but apparently not cause Lily doesn't bring anything up and I know damn well she would have. Severus probably would have left them if they did.

I rewatched “I want to eat your pancreas” (live action) movie and now the hormones and chemicals that makeup my brain and allow my body tofunction is thoroughly fucked up so I am in the mood for angsty hcs.

what if…

zhongli would one day look at your desk with a strange look and knitted forehead. he’d be out and about to find the funeral director.

“director, hu tao, have you seen y/n? i… y/n’s absence lately is worrisome. have something happened that i didn’t know about?” he’d asked.

and like she was bathed in cold ice, hu tao failed to ignite the spunky fire within her—the usual look the consultant would see on his friend and boss—and that scared him.

the ex-archon would not even let the young girl finish. what for? to allow himself to hear of yet another loss in his life?

in the end, you would be another name uttered whenever zhongli rests—when he is most vulnerable. your name uttered in solemn grieving, together with guizhong’s.

what a terrible friend you are, y/n. in the end, you’ve become a burden to him too.

“Where have you been?” James thunders.

“Getting ingredients,” Lily responds as casually as her breathless lungs allowed. She heaves a gulp of air as she sets the herbs on the old wooden benchtop of the abandoned cottage, her eyes sliding to the bandage adorning Sirius’ shoulder.

James’ hazel eyes blaze so furiously that Lily wonders if his magic might pour out of him until her hard-won herbs are no more than smoking ash. “Where did you get these?” The knot in his jaw works overtime, his body strung so tight he’s almost unrecognizable from the lanky teenager who sauntered the Halls of Hogwarts a decade earlier.

Lily busies herself, aimlessly opening the dusty timber drawers in the guise of looking for a knife she she knows damn well is tucked away at the end of the counter.

“Tell me you didn’t.” His voice is barely the hiss of a killing curse, but its potency is equally deadly. “Not alone.”

Lily bends her knees to open a lower cupboard so her eye roll is hidden from James’ fury. “Of course not!” Lily says brightly — unable to stop her tongue from provoking his outrage further — “Hermes came with me.” Her owl is (wisely) nowhere in sight.

Lily rises in time to catch Remus’ furrowed brow as he winces into his hand before her attention is pulled to the apoplectic hazel-eyed wizard across from her. His hands press so firmly into the counter, it is a wonder it doesn’t crumble under the frenzy of his ferocity. The veins of his forearms bulge as his magic escapes his pores to cling to his body in a pulsing rage. The thump thump of his carotid beats wildly at his neck.

“Why didn’t you take one of us with you?” Sirius asks with far less bite than his brother.

“You were busy,” Lily nods at his shoulder, “and he would have…” Lily trails off as she imagines the lengths James may have gone to if he’d known she was sneaking in to the Death Eater encampment they’d been tailing. Would he have dulled her? Stunned her? Physically pinned her to the ground? Her eyes finish their trail up his tense arms to the solidness of his chest and her body flushes burning hot as images of him pressed over her infiltrates her mind. “...he would’ve said no,” she offers half-heartedly, distracted as she is by the thought of him.

“Damn right I would have said no!” The wood of the counter stands no chance against the might of James’ magic as it surges with his anger: large caverns run in a spiderweb from his clenched fist.

Lily inhales sharply, stumbling back in surprise; James never loses control of his magic. He’s been upset plenty of times; she’s been on the end of his sharp tongue and overprotective passion more than once. But this? His eyes hold no sparkle; the desolate torment of them strikes her still as stone. When he clocks her stumble, he crumbles in agony, twitching in a full-body flinch as the fight abruptly leaves him.

“I’m sorry.” It was whispers, shoulders slumped and head low. Before Lily has a chance to open her mouth, he’s out the door, the cool breeze from his exit does nothing to awaken her from where she frozen.

“I’ll go,” Sirius murmurs after a moment of silence.

“No. Me.” Blood rushes back into her limbs as they move under her. “Dice these, will you Remus?” She’s gone before either can protest, her eyes finding him hunched under the large tree they’d strung their wards from. With each step, the rough pain of his ragged breathing pierces deeper in her chest until Lily can sink onto her knees in front of him.

“You didn’t frighten me, I was just surprised,” Lily gently pulls his hands from his face, wiping the wetness on his cheeks.

“I promise,” she reiterates when his look remains painfully dubious. “We’ve been through ten years of fighting James Potter and if there’s one thing I would stake my life on, it’s that you’d never hurt me.” The loosening of his shoulders tells her that he believes her, but his gaze remained on the ground.

Lily reaches for his hand, running her fingertips over the callouses born from combat. She squeezes once and waits.

“I can’t lose you, I —” his voice breaks.

“You would have done it,” Lily reminds him gently. “Your life isn’t less important than mine.” The thought of losing him is unbearable.

James shakes head in what Lily knows to be vehement disagreement, but his indignance overcomes his pain and his eyes shoot to hers. They both freeze. Moments of the last decade bleed together in a fragile could he? As the emotion flowed from his eyes to hers, his magic runs wild – less violent than minutes earlier, but no less passionate — dancing over her skin until her own escapes to meet him. His fingers tighten on her while his magic leaves her breathless as it transforms from pain to hope as he stares back at what she thinks might be a mirror of his emotions. No mask. No pretend. It’s all there now.

“Lily?” he whispers. Suddenly, she just knows.

She moves first, letting her lips melt into the warmth of his. There’s a moment of stillness before a mad laugh escapes James’ lips, his breath dancing on her skin before firm hands hook behind her knees, yanking her to press fully against him. As far as first kisses go, she’s never had one that feels so much like home. The taste of him is relief; his body her solace; and Lily sinks willingly into both.

You know what, Dragon Cacao is overplayed, what about Dragon the other Ancients?

I feel like one that could be the easiest is Golden Cheese, given her wings (even if they technically aren’t part of her body) and her claiming to have hatched out of an egg that’s actually a dragon egg painted gold. You can just say her dragon parent was a feathered one or something

Or Hollyberry considering her whole connection with dragons, specifically Pitaya. But maybe don’t make Pitaya her parent, just since hollytaya is a big ship. Though if you want to interpret their relationship like that, considering hollytaya isn’t actually canon or heavily implied to be, go ahead

Or maybe you could do White Lily, and maybe that’s the reason she wanted to learn Dragontongue. She’s part dragon but can’t actually speak their language

Or if you want to be really bold, Pure Vanilla. I don’t think he has any sort of connection to dragons, but you could do it, get creative with it

Or heck it, all of them are part dragon, who knows?

I’m just saying, there’s creative potential here

okokok imagine. youve been in a relationship with neuvillette and then you suddenly call him your little otter and hes there all confused like🧍‍♂️ HAHAAHHAHAH

NO BECAUSE YES I'D DO THAT WITH NO SHAME. Neuvillette's so traditional with his nicknames - "my love, darling, honey, beloved, etc ❤️" and then you're like "my lovely otter i missed you 😄!" And he just pauses for a second. Like. Did he really just hear that? Surely it was a mistake? But nope. You actually called him an otter. "my love, could you... explain?" And then you start listing off all the similarities and Neuvillette sits there patiently listening to your TED Talk.

It would be even more funny if you don't know he's a dragon, and actually believe he's some kind of otter 😭 He would just roll with it and indulge you, he actually loves your sense of humor.

I imagine a modern AU scenario where Vanilla is invited by Strawberry Crepe to play some video games and is interested to buy some for him and his wife, but the catch is that he is literally so. God. Awful. At almost every single genre there is to the point where it pisses Crepe off so the only kind of games he bought are farming sims. Just straight-up, farming sims. Not even a different kind of cozy game, though Crepe tried to gift him a few puzzle and rhythm-based ones just to add some variety to his selection, but it still isn't too effective because that old geezer sucks THAT bad.

(P.S. I'm not implying that farming or life sims are for losers I'm just saying that PV would definitely pour hours onto his Animal Crossing island or something)

White Lily on the other hand... I imagine her having a bit more tech literacy than Vanilla somehow (being the smart one and working as a scientist and all) and is a literal god at puzzle and rhythm games for some unknown reason to the point where even her own husband and the other Ancients find her terrifying. Not a single breathing person knows how she reached that level of skill, and that's only the icing on the cake of how eccentric of a cookie she can be. That sopping wet cat...
