Just saw the post where they make their s/o cry and you said there was more about Flug for a separate post? Now ya girl is curious- what *is* it like when s/o is still pissed at him, especially if they have to work together? What makes them cave? How obvious to others is his guilt? oughhh there’s so much potential here especially if they’re trying to HIDE their tears from him ☹️
(IK it’s supposed to be hurt to comfort but I’m giggling a bit at the idea of Demencia casually asking 505 how his parents’ divorce is going IM SORRY-)
Flug, as I’ve said before, could be emotionally unavailable in the beginning of your relationship, if it were to happen then, he’d feel guilty but would probably end up pushing it to the back of his mind in the end.
Though after developing a connection, he’d be a little bit more comfortable. When you ignore him, it stresses him out, like:
“Oh my god they’re ignoring me what should I do should I talk to them should I ignore them back should I—“ you get the picture.
You’re going to have to communicate in some way if you’re some kind of assistant helping him with his projects, but still, it’s not enough for him. He tries to get you to open up about it, but when you stare at him and say nothing, it makes him feel awkward.
Flug is actually pretty good at hiding his emotions, from Demencia and 5.0.5 at least. Whenever you’re alone with him though, he still keeps himself composed but you can see the facade crumble bit by bit. He becomes more genuine, but this all depends on how far you are into the relationship.
When you break down, he’s awkward but he tries to be better for your sake. There’s some shushing and (attempted) encouragement involved. It’s a tough situation, but it helps you grow closer as well afterwards.

What's your favourite evil literary trope and favourite good literary trope, and if they battled which would win?
YOOOO. Yo. Yo. I’m already so excited to answer this, this is such a good question, even though I’m not …100% sure what this means. If I misconstrue what you’re saying or something I mention doesn’t qualify or you wanna hear about…idk, second favorites, you can totally ask again. I love talking about. Media. oughhh…hmmmm…oh, I’m gonna go on a while aren’t I? Sorry in advance.
Okay, like, any trope that occurs in books? Most of my favorite tropes are the same across any medium. Does like, a character trope work? Like an archetype? Bc I do have a lot of favorite archetypes if they count. They’re usually my favorite kinds of tropes and easier to label as good or evil.
My favorite type of evil character is probably the good ol’ mad scientist. I’m SUCH a sucker for them. Anyone who knows me will tell you.
As for good, heroic character…hm…is strong woman a trope? Like lady knights, buff ladies, the one woman in the military squad that does not get Love Interest-Ed and probably dies….I think it’s kinda a trope, a rarer one, but it’s there.
In a fight, it’s probably easier to guess who’ll win since they’re characters but it still depends to me. If we’re allowed weapons, prep time, etc. etc…mad scientist is probably winning. They tends to have more plot armor too, while strong ladies Usually aren’t the protagonists but more dispensable side characters. Sudden fist fight tho? Idk if it matters what kind of strong warrior lady we go with, mad scientists are so regularly portrayed as having the constitution of a paper bag. I love both tropes sm tho, when a mad scientist is good, when a buff lady is evil, when they meet, when they don’t, when they’re enemies, when they’re friends, when they working for each other, when they’re kissinWho said that
Now, if we mean ANYTHING BUT character tropes uhh. Well thankfully I’ve been watching a lot of Overly Sarcastic Productions, I got some fresh in my mind.
okay…so like…a good plot trope and a evil plot trope? Mmm that’s harder, uh.
Ooo can I say when the bad guy gets a redemption? Power of friendship style? It’s probably a good trope. I love it sm, idc how cheesy it can get. As long as it’s slapdash and not just so the hero can make out sloppy style with the villain in good conscious, I always get incredibly soft about it. If its the hero winning them over with friendship, if they’re just genuinely working for good now to suit their own selfish means, if it’s just the villain realizing “oh…I have Not been as good as I thought.”, if they just get bound by some dare or curse to work for good now, etc. it’s always so fun to me.
As far as evil? It’s harder for me to think of an evil plot trope. I’m tempted say like, the plot twist where a main character was the evil one all along? But I specifically love the ones where THAT CHARACTER did not know it until the twist, due to amnesia or brainwashing or they were a sleeper agent. It IS evil but is it a trope? And also it’s like, a gateway into “redemption of a bad character” but AGAIN. How about “the horrors were manmade all along”? You see some scary monster or some eldtrich god or kaiju or malfunctioning robot overlord and wonder how this happened, and it’s eventually revealed that like “oh. Some scientist had a lot of hubris. Some military group wanted a better weapon. Just some rich guy was curious. Behind the monster was a Frankenstein.”. Pretty good stuff imo. And I think it qualifies as evil. The horror is usually malicious and the creator is usually evil or at least misguided in some definition. Man I’m a sucker for a hubristic downfall…probably why I love mad scientists sm. Or vise versa.
Now, in a fight? I think “the horrors were manmade, humanity destroyed itself, the downfall of your hubris” is absolutely Destroying “bad guy become good guy [brought to you by friendship <3]”. The horrors May be able to be converted but like. Fat chance.
Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk, IM SORRY I WENT ON SO LONG
I kept getting caught between ‘fanfic tag’ tropes (e.g. hurt/comfort, slow burn, fixit, only one bed, major character death, sickfic, etc.) and ‘that’s just whole genre of story’ tropes (e.g. noir detective, military group realizes they’ve been deceived and fighting for evil all along, uprising against big evil corporation, mundane boring guy doing mundane boring job is also an assassin, etc.) so I tried to keep it firmly in the middle, trying to think of normal book tropes. I’m hoping that’s what you meant? But if not, you can ask me again! I want to answer properly and I’ll happily go on again!…actually kinda hoping I got it wrong bc I disqualified so many tropes I adore while writing this, I’d love to rant about them XD maybe keep it more concise on any “next time”s though.
Thank you SM for such a good question! And if you or anyone else has their own they’d like to share, I’d be happy to listen :3c|

OUGHHH FELLOW C!DREAM ENTHUSIAST Y ES I often don’t get to talk about my c!Dream thoughts bc I’m primarily in c!Tommy centric spaces (I don’t want to say apologist bc I think the whole apologist concept is silly and limited. Same with like sympathiser and stuff. I just describe myself as an enthusiast because it feels less restrictive and less like, factional? that’s a me thing tho) and typically we talk about c!Dream’s worst actions and less his motives (tho I predicted them for like a year and I’m proud of that, even if I think the way they were explained was a little confusing due to the limited time they had and the inherently self contradictory nature of c!Dream).
Fair enough on the George part, shoulda clarified I meant ““in comparison to Dream””. Which makes sense, because Dream wanted exile for his own ends. Emotions did have to do with it, to a degree, but they’re older and more deep-seated ones than Georges house and Spirit. They’re ones that might even date back to when Dream and Tommy were genuine friends, I think, considering Dream’s thing about being terrified of being alone and desperately grasping at Godhood simply so he could have his friends back but seeing nothing wrong with cutting them off. He doesn’t have the healthiest views of relationships.
Dream simultaneously sees Tommy as a scapegoat but also as a friend, and along with that a physical manifestation of chaos and disobedience that needs to be controlled, and that interacts interestingly. He can’t just kill Tommy, because in a twisted way he genuinely likes him and enjoys his company, along with seeing him as useful and possessing much more importance than he actually does lol. But he can’t let Tommy be free. I think this was a major reason for exile, personally, and it’s one of the main reason why Dream’s biggest tactic was convincing Tommy they were friends. He saw that as a way to keep Tommy’s perceived power and destructive tendencies under his control, while also keeping the friend he’d had for a long time and making sure he’d never be alone. The fact that Dream and Tommy were friends is very important to understanding why they do what they do, I think. The peaceful life they desperately wish for involves each other, but they’ll never get the other back to the way they were.
With the prison, I think it’s pretty likely it was a mix of teaching Tommy a lesson and also continuing his experiments with the revive book- since we know they weren’t done by the time he got into prison and continued after he escaped. Dream as a character tends to mix truth in his lies a lot- it makes it a lot easier to convince people if some of what you tell them is true, after all. I think he was genuinely curious about what Tommy’s limbo would be like, and his experiences after revival, and I also think he was genuine in offering Tommy the ability to study it with him. I mean, that’s what he ended up doing with Punz, and an extra researcher could have been very useful. As for teaching him a lesson (which should have air quotes but I’m too lazy rn), Dream frequently uses both isolation and physical pain as a method of conditioning Tommy into behaving the way he likes, and Limbo is both isolating and painful.
Don’t apologise about anything btw I could literally talk about c!Prime 25/8. I will add an extra hour and an extra day just to talk about them more,
I manged to catch up with the dream smp (or atleast Tommys pov) the firs time around while the exile arc was still going (I believe the exact vod was TommyInnit Is Actually Depressed In Exile) and thats when I felt I could interact with the fandom without getting spoiled so I witnessed that popular theory/concept/AU-thingy of Tommy becoming Dreams protegee and getting a mask too n shit and I still think thats an interesting concept that I'll do something with if I ever find the motivation, but I also think its interesting how in practice, Tommy considered suicide before he considered joining Dream in that way yknow

oughhh if you're still doing the genshin team ask game, my current team is ayaka, xinyan, venti, and xingqiu, I'm curious ^^
feel free to ignore if you're not doing it anymore!!
send me your genshin team Hewwo thanks for sending in the ask ^^ you have ayaka and I want you to know that I’m very jealous
who’s the most ticklish character
Xingqiu for your team but I think Ayaka would be a close second!
who’s the character that most people would assume is ticklish, but actually isn’t
n/a sorry lmao
who’s the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles
I’d say Venti because he loves to go around giving everyone pokes and surprise tickles so he deserves it lol
However, Ayaka was definitely on the receiving end more often when she first joined because she was the newbie and Venti tricked her into thinking that gang tickles were a hazing thing for the team and also she has a really pretty laugh so it’s kinda addicting in a way
who’s the character that somehow knows everyone else’s tickle spots and reveals them to others
Venti knows everyone’s tickle spots from experience because he’s constantly in ler mode and he has no issues letting everyone know
I feel like Ayaka would also be great at memorizing everyone’s spots super quickly
who’s the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about
One time, Xingqiu tested out Xinyan’s knees because that’s where he’s most ticklish and he wanted to see if other people are sensitive there too and he was right and Xinyan definitely kicked him on accident when it happened lol
who’s the most likely to win gang tickle wars
Ayaka because she has so much experience with Thoma and Ayato so she knows how to throw-down when the time comes
Xingqiu always loses because the boy is so sensitive lmao get wrecked
which character didn’t even know they were ticklish until another character tickled them
Hmmm I’d say Xinyan and I like to think the group gives her tickles before she goes out to perform as a way of saying good luck hehe
which two characters have tickle fights all the time
I just want you to know that Xinqiu wants to start tickle fights all the time but he is smart and knows he will probably lose lol
Venti starts tickle fights with everyone and it comes back to bite him when everyone decides to gang up on him
I feel like Ayaka and Xinyan would spend a lot of time together because neither of them had a lot of friends growing up for different reasons so they have a lot to bond over and I feel like Xinyan would perform for Ayaka and Ayaka would treat xinyan like a little sister but anyway tickle fights between the two come up every now and then as a bonding activity
