i'm by no means a wealthy fr player so i can't do this often but occasionally i'll see another player post here or on the forums about something they wish they had, a familiar, an apparel piece, extra funds for an accent or a gene scroll or something else, and i realize hey i can gift them that! and then i do, it's rare (because i'm always dragon-broke lol) but when i can do it it's just great 💕

This is my depiction of RÉRIR, also known as the Rächer of Solnari—one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri’ah mentioned in the Archon Quest "Bedtime Story."

The name Rérir comes from Germanic myth, where he is known as a mighty ruler who avenges his murdered father and becomes the ancestor of the legendary Völsung bloodline—a clan of tragic heroes and cursed legacies.

His title, "Rächer of Solnari," may translate to Avenger of the Sun-Corpse—a poetic nod to:

Sól (the Norse sun goddess)

Narfi, son of Loki, who may symbolize death or decay.

Symbolism in the Art:

Sword Upright: Rérir holds his blade like a gravestone—a symbol of justice turned to penance. The sword is massive, sacred, and unmoving, as though weighing the sins of an entire kingdom.

Facing Left (Past): He gazes back—not to fight fate like Surtalogi—but to mourn what was lost. The leftward gaze invokes remembrance, regret, and the passage of time.

Freckled, Scarred Face: A weathered man whose beauty lies in grief and survival. Every line tells of battles fought, oaths broken, and hopes extinguished.

Sunlike Halo + Sword Lightburst: “Solnari” may mean sun-corpse—and so Rérir is framed in dying light.

Armor Grid Motif: Like Surtalogi, his armor is patterned with structured alchemical geometry, marking him as a product of Khaenri’ah’s elite warriors.

I had wanted to do two more Hellfire Gala dress designs, but I doubt I’m going to get to them. No deadline or anything, just ran out of enthusiasm. They were going to be for Mantis (comics version) and Lightwave (Bobby’s half-sister from the Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends cartoon yes really) Since comics Mantis is strongly associated with plants, and is half-Vietnamese and from Saigon, I wanted to take inspiration from plant-based dresses by Vietnamese designers. My plans were to use THIS SECOND DRESS FROM THE LEFT by Cong Tri and THIS SECOND ONE FROM THE LEFT by Hoang Hai, and I just found the PERFECT CHOKER even if it’s not by a Vietnamese crafter. As for Lightwave, I didn’t have as strong of a theme worked out. She’s in one episode and she’s mind-controlled for most of it so there’s not a lot of substance to work with, but I wanted to take some base elements of her COSTUME like the lightburst shapes, the general theme of light/glitter, and the fact she seems youthful (so like, a fun and innocent shape/silhouette) so I was thinking of combining elements from THESE especially the second one down and some starburst shaped jewelry.  No real point to this post, I’m just too bummed out to actually draw or watch TV or anything soooo here’s the “what would have been” art plans

Okay. Got the Light Suit, Annihilator Beam, and all of the other abilities and gizmos Samus can get in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, save for the Lightburst. All that's left are the Sky Temple Keys, a few more scans, and an ass load of Energy Tanks, Missile Expansions, Power Bomb Expansions and Light/Dark Ammo expansions. Fortunately for me, I found the Player's Guide in one of the boxes in my closet! (Along with the Player's Guides for Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime Hunters.) Now if only I could find the first Metroid Prime, although that disc is no doubt scratched up beyond saving at this point. I couldn't get through the Chozo Ruins without getting "The game disc can not be read" interrupting my fun before I lost it. I can only imagine how much worse its condition is now.

I can only hope that I get Metroid Prime Remastered for my birthday or Christmas. I wonder if the remake will have the Metroid Fusion content that the original game (and Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii) had.

Went to the printing company this morning to print some stickers that I’m going to sell in a local con next week. Afterwards went to a cafe with a friend. She did some life drawing of people and objects in the cafe, while I cut out stickers for the con and pictures I’m going to use in my bujo for next month. I really liked the lightbulbs and lights decoration in this cafe; plus there was a lot of sofas and electrical outlet plugs lol it’s probably designed to accommodate people having long chats and working? Might go here again to work or study in the future.

     As Ori ( @lightbursted ) would venture further away from the paths the Stars had laid out, the Mists would eventually recede to reveal their surroundings as within the rotting corpse of something huge. There was a great vertical climb of sheer muscle Ori would have to mount in order to progress; there was no other way out. At the top of this “room”, a mouth would open to allow them passage to an impossibly open hallway of giant stone hands.      When this “door” yawned open, their presence was detected by someone further in, his holy voice echoing against the halls of flesh beyond.

“O little Messenger of the Light, come forth and deliver your divine orders.”

Although these words were welcoming on their own, there was a coldness to the delivery of them, as though the Supreme Angel speaking them were merely greeting a subordinate in business.

The fog parts. 

Grass and dirt grind beneath unsteady, shambling steps. Blood oozes from a gaping wound in the boy’s abdomen, mouth agape as though clinging to life. Only for him to come to a halt upon seeing the creature in front of him, the ghostly specter at his back examining it while the boy stares straight ahead with dull, glowing red eyes.

And without warning, a glowing katana manifests in his clawed hand, swiping at the air with force, sending a powerful, untamed beam of energy toward the creature.
