Kurapika sat behind her with his legs stretched out to her sides, using the large blanket over his shoulders to cover her as well. The bonfire in front of them turned the night a warm orange as stars adorned the dark sky. "Have you ever thought about having this life?" Kurapika's voice was soft, low. His hands rested on her grown belly as he caressed it gently. Kurapika was doubting, not about having a child, that was one of the best news for him, but if Senritsu was really comfortable with the idea, especially knowing the bone pain and discomfort that she now felt more than before, and he was afraid that she was regretting the decision they had made.

When Senritsu had been around nine years old she had, as all her siblings, helped her mother taking care of the members of their group whenever they were sick. On this day she had spend the early morning roaming hastily, almost panicky through the meadows near her camp, collecting those deep green, yellow blooming plants on which the dew was shimmering like goldpearls. And when she had returned to the camp, with her short arms so full of the herbs she was almost unable to walk, her mother had cleaned the herbs and then cooked them in a bath into which Senritsu and her mother had helped one of the groups woman to sit down in. The water had been as green as emerald, a stark contrast to the womans grey hair and by the waters heat turned pink face. She had sat leaned back in the old, wooden battub with only her head and her massive round belly sticking out like a iselands in a tropical green sea. The womans face, before twisted by too early cramps the bath was suppose to ease to avoid the birth until a few more weeks in the future, had softened a little wih relaxation but there still stayed a certaine sharpness in her features, a certaine grim line around her wrinkled mouth and grey eyebrows. The cramps had eased and were gone, but this sharpness stayed as if chisled into her face. Senritsus mother, with from the waters heat sweatbeads on her temples now visible with her knotted up dark hair, had asked worried if the woman did not felt relieved even after they had stopped the cramps. And the woman, frowning and a deep line between her eyebrows as deep as a scar, only said sternly: " I will only breath and sleep calmly again when it lays crying on my chest."

Now, years later, Senritsu sat leaned against Kurapikas chest like the woman had sat in the wooden bathtub with her swollen belly looking much too big and much too round and a face that was mildly crumbled into a grimace from aches- not because she had much too early cramps, but because she was kicked mercilessly whenever she tried to find a position to sit in comfortably. Kurapikas question made her open her eyes tieredly and she blinked like a confused bird: one time, two times, three times. "No. Never." Senritsu words fell so surely and hard into the quiet night like stones thrown into a deep well.

"But there is not much in my life that went as I had imagined it.",The mans heartbeat seemed a little startled over her short, blunt answer and the Musician smiled exhausted up to him as she searched for his hand under the blanket and squeezed it:

"When I was ten I thought I would spend every coming year traveling along my parents with out group but than two years later Kotone left and showed me that I could just do the same. When I was twelve I was sure that I would spend the rest of my life as a Hunter traveling the world with Ask. Nine years later when I was twenthyone, I thought I would be mancando before I turned thirty. Two years later I met you and still thought i would die in a few years." "Eighteen years later I am still alive and one very abandon bassist kicks my spine like Bass -pedals," Hidden under the warm blanket she gently took the mans bigger hand and lead it to the left side of her belly, Senritsu was laughing softly in all good humor even if her next words were pressed out beside painfully sharp pulled in air :"- there, feel it? How about you give it a lecture about the fact that I still need my spine, mhmmm? I tried this morning, but I was feroce ignored." Her laughter was as melodic as a song, dancing along the cracking of the flames. Carefully the woman skidded a little more forward now laying with her back nolonger against Kurapikas chest and instead against his stomach as she tried to find a position that was not in some way uncomfortable, yet the child was as restless as she was and eventually Senritsu just leaned back with a too long, too tiered and too defeated sigh. Kurapikas hearbeat was so close to her ears it was as loud as a scream. "It does not matter, Kurapika.",She said eventually and in the warmth under the blanket around them her hand gently squeezed his so carefully as if he was made of crystalglass, trying to sooth what she had heard in his question from a few moments before. Trying to sooth him thinking that she was regretting making that decision. She had turned her head up, her big eyes with that worried, deep line between them searching for his face as she reached up with one hand to touch his face, caressing the others jaw. Against the pale starlight above his head Kurapikas eyes looked as black as the contactlenses he wore in Yorkshin : "It does not matter what I had been thinking ten or fifteen or twenthy years ago my life would be. I am alive now. I am gioioso now. And I will never regret any decision I made in the past." But also, I will only breath and sleep calmly again when it lays crying on my chest.In contrast to the woman Senritsu did not said this out loud. [ @skarletchains ]

If Senritsu instead of Emitter had been a Conjurer, what would her ability have been like?

At the core of Senritsus Nen-Ability are two wishes: Her wish to protect- the stunning effect her ability has on people is part of her prototyp Hatsu that had developed on its own, from her wanting to make sure that when she would play music on the street for an audience that her younger siblings sneaking around between the people and pickpocket them would not be caught. But also, not only protect her siblings, but also protect people in general, as stunning a person wanting to attack her is her way of avoiding to physically fight them and maybe hurt them in the process. Senritsu was a Genius, so she developted her Nen-ability (the prootyp of her Hatsu) without former Nen-training. thankfully she was very soon aftewards picked up by a Nen-Master whom her younger brother tried to pickpocket, as dabbling with ones lifeenergy, especially as a Emitter who just violently throw their Aura out with limited control, would have meant a very early death for her otherwise.

Her wish to heal- After she got proper Nen-training Senritsu developed her Prototyp-Hatsu into a more defined ability and in this stage the ability became specifically a Healing-ability as Senritsu not only wanted a ability to avoid hurting people but also to make sure they would be free of sickness and injury. The ability was inspired from Ask, who, with his skinned hands was permanently fighting aches in his hands, would place his hands on the side of the piano in the Music-Consortium whenever she would play it, so the vibration of the wood would sooth the ache in his hands. After all the Healing Ability of her Hatsu is specifically a manipulation of vibrations, thats also why covering ones ears would just not nullifiy the ability as the whole body starts to vibrate to sounds and not only the eardrumms.

Accordingly, if Senritsu would be a conjourer and not an Emitter, the ability she would come up with would also need to fullfill the two wishes with which she had formed her current hatsu. Therefor her ability would probably consist of her conjuring different instruments with very different effects on the bodys of the people around her. Like a Flute for a stunning effect, or a piano for playing an longer (hourlong) song that would speed up the healing of severe injuries like broken bones and deep fleshwounds, etc.... Eventually: Senritsus current Hatsu works so well, because it fits perfectly the three Nenytpes she is prone to learn easily- Emission, which is her Nentype and therefor naturally easiest to learn for her, but also Manipulation and Enhancment which are closely set on the Nen Diagramm to her Emission and therefor also naturally easy to master for her. If she would be a Conjourer the two nentyps that the easiest influence/heal another person (enhancment and manipualtion) would be opposite of her on the Nen -spectrum, so she would need a lot of more training to have the same healing-effect.

One common criticism against Engage story is that if Lumera had left the ring within the Somniel like she did for Alear, none of this would have happened. What are your thoughts on this ?

GHwhe....oh no, it's the Engage equivalent of always bragging about Byleth's time rewind power ??

Anyway, I replayed the game some moments ago to answer and old ask and Lumera explained that Lythos castle is like the Somniel immune to attack due to her Divine blessings but that her transferring her lifeenergy to Alear weakened this protective barried allowing Veyle to successfully manage her surprise attack but yeah, let's blame Lumera for not thinking that people would prepare a surprise attack when she expected to be attacked by Corrupted and that it's Elusian you fight in chapter 3. From what Lumera explained, the reason why the rings are entrusted to other kingdom is as a precautionary measure so that it's actually harder to obtain them all. A sort of ritual that always worked up until now.

But even if Lumera had did that, the Fell Xenlogue proved that the Somniel isn't a safe place either. With both Lumera and Alear dead Sombron could have still stolen the rings and ... the story would have happen anyway since Lumera told Alear to prepare to fight Sombron once again. So they would still have had to kill him because, rings or not, Sombron wants to destroy Elyos and would absolutely do so. Even with the ring in the Somniel, the main objective was to prevent Sombron's resurection. So they would have had all the rings, but would have still had to fight Sombron anyway....so... he could have still killed them at any moment and/or they would have still had to use the ring to defeat him. With a weakened Lumera, Alear can't do much all by themself and Sombron would have absolutely tried everything in his power to get what he wants, even destroying Elyos, Lumera and Alear have to fight him. I mean, even if the Royals never had any rings, they would still have been targeted for being of sovereign blood since Sombron needed it to get back his power...and the fact that Sombron managed to have succesfully collected many rings 1 000 ago makes me think that he would have found a way to steal them anyway.

But let's be real, the reason is because the Somniel is supposed to be here to give you a My Castle so that you can actually catch a break into the story and train your units without breaking the flow of the story, like Fates and Awakening. And it works better because 1/I'ts justifying you taking a long time before saving King Morion 2/it's allowing you to train your units 3/You can still overall ignore the Somniel and do it the linear way but at least, you have a choice unlike... the monastery....GRRRR

Overall, I think the Somniel is a bit clumsy when intergrated to the plot but it's not like Sombron trying to get the ring back would have changed, nor Lumera and Alear having to stop him, so the story would have happened, but probably not in the same way at all...

I actually realized this maybe not be a really good idea. I mean, Lumera mentions that people other then Sombron targeted the rings, so what would have happen if she had died during the 1 000 years of Alear's coma ? Could have the stewards entered ? Alear would have been all alone with the rings, and no one could have entered. And... seeing how it took 1 000 full years for Alear to become half divine dragon, this means that had Lumera died before the process was over, then the Somniel would have been weak to attack, with a sleeping Alear to defend the rings ?? .... yeah... no... no, no.

Character Information LIV : Seedlauncher and Oath Occaisonally, especially when things do not go her way or she does not want to discuss why she is helping someone, Ziv is stating that she is bound by an oath she swore. Of course one could simply assume that she is as a Healer bound by the Star Wars Equivalent of he Hippocratic Oath and this usually makes sure whoever she is dicussing with is shutting up. However, Ziv actually never made that Oath or any Oath in paticular- as someone growing up in the Jedi Temple she naturally has taken over the philosophy of beeing a servant to all of Life in the Galaxy, but this philosophy can be seen from Jedi to Jedi differently. Ziv sees this philosophy that she is bound to help, serve, nurture and specially not kill whoever needs her help as a Healer. Be that a person someone who is a friend or someone who had just shot with a blaster at her. An example for that would be the theards with @sithisms wherein Ziv sticks around with an by The Sickness infected Exar Kun, because he is sick and she feels bound to help and heal him even if he is a Sith. And she also really can´t stand him or anything he stands for. But he is a sentient beeing needing healing and therefor she is bound to help, because she is round him and there and she can help and therefor she must help. Which obviously had also trapped her many times in morally questionable situations. Thats her philosophy, yet philosophys can be dicussed and argumented with. And Ziv really does not want anyone to dicuss with her that part of her philosophy, so she shuts those dicussions up by stating that she is bound by an oath. After all an Oath someone is bound to can not that openly be discussed with, because they definitive made their choice already.

Which is also the reason why she has a Seed Launcher as a primary weapon, because she can simply load the agricultural device with seeds that she can fire at someone and then control the seeds into ranks that hold someone down and away from her. Aiaia, after all allowed to tap into Zivs lifeenergy and grow in the manner of seconds to act as Zivs guard and help, is in that manner also bound to Zivs oath, because the Reeksa would usually just eat someone, but is trained not to do. Ziv started in her concept with a blaster, than had a slugthrower so she could make sure she does not hit vitals and eventually now she has a Seed-launcher. That does not mean that Ziv has any problems with turning someone attacking her into a screaming Torso by blasting their limbs away with Granade moss or poison someone or temporaily paralyse limbs by using her skills in Makashi by pressing acupuncture points or gas someone or break a few bones or drug someones brain into the most horrible hallucination possible, to keep them off her pelt, but she will never actively kill someone. And she is giving her best to hold to this part of her philosophy, in fact all her attire is collected to make sure she does not ever come into a situation in which she woud need tokill someone. Obviously that had bitten her in the ass many times.

This oath also extends to her Inquisitor!-version. However, the group of people who fall under the category of “all life” is expectionally smaller and only consists of a group of former AgriCorps Adepts back on Byss who had been in the chambe rnext to hers when she had been captured. And everyone else in the Galaxy is free to suffocate on by her manipulated moldspores growing explosivly in their lungs and blocking their windpipe from the inside.
