Hi! Love the contrast here between the first 2 deep questions and then the lighter one. 😂

She's...okay. Ish. Sometimes. It's a long story, but she's working part-time and in the process of applying for disability, which is an absolute bureaucratic nightmare, on top of managing all her health stuff. None of it is life-threatening, thankfully, but she's...definitely having trouble adjusting to the reality of being a disabled person (though she's had chronic pain since she was a teenager, so it's not all new, exactly), and the mental and emotional toll that takes on top of the physical. And hers are invisible disabilities, which is another layer of complexity when it comes to navigating the world when you "look" able-bodied but absolutely need certain accommodations. But we're getting through it as best we can. Thank you for asking. ❤️️

Writing is hard, y'all. The past couple of years have been really rough (see answer 1 above), and that does drain away a lot of my mental energy that would otherwise be devoted to writing. But I'm making good headway into a new fic - it's fully outlined and has 8k written and stuff - so that's something. It's always a bit nerve-wracking writing for a new fandom (Heartstopper), especially when it doesn't seem like any of my current fannish community are into it, but it has hardcore become my prime comfort show over the past few months because it's just such a sweet and caring respite from everything else in the world. So. Fic was bound to happen eventually. Too bad I'm incapable of writing short fic these days. I have been spoiled by TOG fandom over the past few years - having a small but strong community of support has been SUCH a boost for me personally - and I just plain don't have that (yet?) for this new fandom. So I'm feeling the lack there, and I'm definitely writing more slowly without that external validation. So it goes. I'm just glad to be writing anything at all these days.

Hot chocolate! With way too many marshmallows! I don't like coffee or tea, so that's pretty much the only hot beverage I ever go for. Not in the summer, though.

So that's the state of me, I guess!

I had a headache over one eye nasty enough that I woke up. It was better with a cold pack so maybe it is a migraine?

I have Felix’s meeting for kindergarten today, to see how he can best be supported next year. His teachers are all really great missing work time is so hard though.

We also have a screen appointment next week at a place that special is in autism so we’ll see what they have/if he likes him. More support in how to be a better parent for him would be helpful.

So I go to the Trivia tonight andddd who is on my fucking team(the team was a big team fyi) His ex. How fucking Awkward.

Awkward A.F. I felt like she kept eyeing me.

Granted, we didn't really talk nor acknowledge each other, but a few people asked me if John was going to be there tonight (I knew she heard).

Anyway, our team won Trivia, probably because of the record size (22 people in our group).

I was thankful my friend Stephanie was there, so I wasn't there alone, if Stephanie wasn't there I probably would have left after I got my stamps.

Anyway, after the Trivia, Stephanie and I went to the Crystal Hotel, where there was a QR code hunt to get a prize, did that and got a prize, then we had dinner and talked. She's a really good friend.
