This may have been shared on Tumblr before, though I don't think it has in a while so I wanted to spread awareness of it!

One of Yoshihiro Togashi's assistants during the production of Yu Yu Hakusho wrote this manga about what it was like working with Togashi. It's charming, funny, and moving, and provides a lot of insights into Togashi that we wouldn't have access to otherwise. If you're a fan of his works and interested in learning more about him, I definitely recommend it!

y'all know alluka zoldyck being trans isn't a head canon right? Like she aint even Togashi's first explicitly transgender character. He had a whole one shot (in a collection) in the like 90s about a transman and an alien hooking up. (level e, its been awhile since ive read it) Shes just his best trans character.

This 8-volume edition was released bi-weekly (every two weeks) by Jump Remix to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Yoshihiro Togashi as a manga artist. It covers the four Togashi's series released in the Weekly Shounen Jump:

Ten de Shouwaru Cupid (selected chapters)

Yu Yu Hakusho ~ Dark Tournament Arc (chapters 52 to 112)

Level E (chapters 1 to 16)

Hunter x Hunter ~ Greed Island Arc (chapters 120 to 185)

According to JUMP REMIX, the idea is that you connect all eight volumes in chronological order, from Cupid (1989) to HxH (1998-2023). The little drawings of the characters on the covers were also designed to connect.

Togashi's Comment in LEVEL E

Well, hi! I bought the bunko edition of LEVEL E the other day, and it came with a comment from Togashi. I wanted to share it for anyone who may be interested.

My native language is Spanish, so the original version is not in English. I tried to find it in English but had no luck. However, I did my best to translate it. Just take into account that this is a translation of a translation.

Also, it's so weird that he was writing this on Killua's birthday.

English version:

You have in your hands the bunko edition of "LEVEL E." I am writing this on July 7, 2012. On Tanabata, my wish was "health and happiness for everybody." I wish for world peace. Um... world peace. But I don't have that peace. Lately, the font size in books has been getting smaller, and my eyesight is getting worse... By the way, I'm 44 years old and have two children. Oh, I've also started to get gray hair in my nose. Since I began drawing manga until the time I was publishing this, my works and my life have been intertwined. As if they have been synchronized. That’s why, when I reread this work, I have a strange feeling of discomfort, as if I were reading an old personal diary. Although, compared to my other works, this one doesn't make me feel so bad. It must be because I made it more or less to my liking. Just more or less, okay? I won't go into details. I feel like I’ve become grumpy over the years. Well, to put it better, less tolerant.
