#ShowsWeLove: Just Wright – A Perfectly Sweet Romance With a Dash of Drama
Sometimes a good romantic comedy is all we need to remind us of the power of self-worth, second chances, and love that finds us when we least expect it. This charming 2010 film Just Wright tells the story of Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah), a physical therapist who lands the dream job of working with basketball star Scott McKnight (Common). All seems well until Leslie realizes she is falling in…

It’s late and I’m delirious so welcome to What Horse Each Main Marble Hornets Character Would Be
Alex: he would definitely be a fucking Arabian. Little fuckers. Think they’re too smart for their own good and open gates to let the other horses run loose just because they’re assholes like that. Ten minutes later they’re stuck in the bale feeder and maim themselves trying to get out. (I speak from experience)
Jay: Shetland Pony. Vaguely unnerving vibes. Unpredictable, what shit will they pull next? I don’t know. Would bite you.
Tim: Some sort of draft horse like a Clydesdale or shire. Pretty chill unless you fuck with them. They won’t start shit but they will finish it. Like, their hooves are the size of dinner plates, just don’t. Also they’re pretty so I’m giving them to Tim because he deserves it.
Brian: Thoroughbred. Just some basic horse that gets dragged into all kinds of random shit. Will die without their billion dollars of medications and chiropractic appointments. Also, every thoroughbred I’ve met looks like they could be named Brian.

In 1942, a man had suddenly found himself aboard a ship on the Atlantic during World War II. He could only remember his name and where he was born. He did not remember anything else including how he got on the ship, but he was certain of one thing… that the ship was going to be hunted down and sunk by a U- Boat. He was in his own personal hell courtesy of… The Twilight Zone ("Judgment Night", The Twilight Zone, TV)

Movie Review: American Fiction 2023. Sarcastic wit. Hilarious punchline. Must Watch!
Tumblr media
I gave this movie a pass at first. But the hype from the Oscars made me watch it and I enjoyed this movie a lot! For a comedy, it dealt with quite a lot of serious topics. The last act is kinda messy but the punchline hit right.
It’s a clever story. The structure is clever. The characters are clever. The dialog is clever. The ending is hilarious. MUST WATCH!
Did you find the movie (and dialog) clever? I like the sister, Lisa, a lot!

'American Fiction' Movie and Blu-ray Review
The following review was written by Ultimate Rabbit correspondent, Tony Farinella. “American Fiction” is the kind of adult drama which has been sorely missing from Hollywood over the past decade and a half.  Hollywood has become obsessed with the big screen blockbuster and superhero films. Now, of course, there is nothing wrong with those films, but the adult drama along with R-rated comedies…

American Fiction    [trailer]
A novelist who's fed up with the establishment profiting from Black entertainment uses a pen name to write a book that propels him into the heart of the hypocrisy and madness he claims to disdain.
Makes its point not very subtly, but still well and in a very entertaining way.
What I didn't expect was that it would include so many "normal" family problems. Like, difficult father, ailing mother, new relationship, estranged gay brother, etc. Taken together it distracts a bit from the main story.
