arguably he/him and transmasc studs (black lesbians if you didn’t know) have the most disgustingly complex journey with gender. with being discriminated against at the intersections of race and gender initially placed on them as black “women”.

then when transitioning or leaning into their masculine side — they must struggle to untangle themselves from western beauty standards which tell them that they are unattractive, aggressive and inhumane.

then they must introspectively journey with their ideas of what being a man is — untangling their masculinity from the patriarchy and discover what being black and masculine means for them as a lesbian. they also will struggle massively with discrimination - often being seen as “too manly” by many (esp white) lesbians, “too aggressive”, “unapproachable”, “ugly”, just because they’re black.

now couple all this with having to be compared to white butches 24/7??? genuinely sending love and healing and pleasure to all studs. I love you. You are loved. Your journey is difficult but you make the world a more complex, introspective and beautiful place.
