World's Best Holiday Ads, Part 7

Every suburb has at least one house that goes all out with Christmas lights – through the trees, covering the house, even on the grass, and all in sync with the music they send out via an FM frequency. It's fun to see that this isn't confined to the US. This McDonald's ad that broke last night in the UK takes this phenomenon to an eye-popping extreme, mixing in some of their brand assets including their brand colors, flagship menu items, and some McDonaldland characters that have been used off and on since the 1970s. (I can't be the only one who finds them creepy.) I also appreciate that the music isn't a holiday perennial but rather some thumping house music (Benny Benassi’s "Satisfaction," according to the trades). Agency: Leo Burnett.
