Here are the reader's traits described in the original ask: You have grown really attached to them and won't let them go, following them like a lost duckling. They're the only one you act energetic around, while you're shy and scared around others. It's later revealed that you were neglected back home resulting in abandonment issues.

🦈 Leo

Leo sees something in you that he can't exactly pinpoint. Maybe you fill a loss that he's tucked into the crevasses of his memory. Maybe you represent a second chance at one of his lingering regrets. Whatever it is, he swears that no harm will come to you as long as he's around.

He sneaks you the universal passcode to the arms factory's exit gates, with instructions written in his messy scrawl: "Play the game. Do what they ask. Use for emergensy only." It's not the first time he's been punished for breaking the rules, but that's a trivial thing if it means protecting you.

Before your first game, he brings you a gift, a crude little thing that's obviously handmade. It's a miniature red-and-purple striped rocket chair made for dolls. You find it a little childish, but Leo attaches a story to it: "If bad guy catches you. 1, 2, 3, blast off. Trapped again."

That's a bit grim, but cute, you suppose. You're not sure why he gave it to you, though.

✈️ Charles

As a man of few words and a perpetual poker face, his fondness for you might not be that obvious. But he finds you terribly endearing. He doesn't mind having you in his shadow at all. It won't be long before he starts feeling very protective of you.

In an attempt to get closer to him, one day you ask to try out his jetpack. He's always tinkering with the thing, so he must have a lot to say about it, right? The moment you reach for it, something in Charles snaps, and with a panicked shout he knocks you off it before cradling his device tightly in his arms. With that look of abject terror in his eyes, one would think you were trying to murder his baby. You never thought it was even possible for him to raise his voice like that.

The truth is, he couldn't have cared less about the jetpack. He was worried about losing someone else to his faulty machine. The guilt for frightening you plagues him for weeks after. He dedicates the next few months to working on a device that stabilizes his hand tremors. Not for his own sake, but because he can't bear to disappoint you—he wants to build something safer for you to try, and needs a reliable hand to do it.

🧲 Norton

Finds it bothersome. He has an unspoken agreement with the rest of the manor to steer clear of each other, what’s not clicking for you? He doesn’t exactly radiate sunshine and rainbows. Why you got attached to him of all people is something he can’t wrap his head around.

He won’t go out of his way to talk to you, which you can consider a small mercy from him. If forced he’ll bluntly shut down the idea of being your “protector” or whatever role you’ve arbitrarily assigned to him. He’s not here to babysit anyone, especially not for free. Doesn’t matter what your story is.

It seems like the best way to win his favor is by giving him space. And start hoping he’ll warm up with time. With the manor's stretches of eternity in store for you, you can certainly spare the wait.

🔗 Ada & ❤️‍🩹 Emil

The first time you begin yearning for them remains clear in your memory. They're huddled together over the kitchen stove, morning sun filtering through the open window. Ada explains how to flip an omelette while Emil is paying more attention to her gentle hands than her technique. Once in a while their soft giggles rise above the sound of sizzling oil.

Watching them, suddenly you aren't at the manor anymore. You're in one of those big, bright two-story houses from the stories you read as a child, the ones with the perfect families and happy endings to every trouble that comes their way. Ada and Emil probably don't even realize how picture-perfect they look in this moment, how similar they are to the families you thought only existed once upon a time. Their love makes you jealous, but you crave it just as much.

Sharp as always, Ada is quick to notice you observing them. You fear a round of questioning but instead she says, "Good morning. Do you want something? How do you like your eggs?" and Emil pipes in a second later with "Onions okay?"

It's such a casual sentiment, but it takes you aback. Most manor guests aren't glowing examples of neighborly people, you've learned that the hard way. But your wishful thinking gets the better of you, so you play along. They bring out a plate of your breakfast and sit with you at the table. You remember thinking, even if they are tricking you and these eggs are poisoned and you never wake up again, it would be nice to go with this fairy tale family as your last memory. But you get to enjoy a delicious breakfast and the remaining hours of the day without issue.

The same thing happens the next morning, and the one after that.

Emil's prowess with the frying pan drastically improves as the days go by, and soon he starts waking up ahead of Ada to surprise her. Some days include you, with him gently nudging you out of bed, eager smile on his face as he teaches you all the cooking tricks Ada taught him. He also shows you a notepad he keeps, with lists titled: Ada favorites. Good food for a bad day. Restront menus (make at home). And a new addition: What (Y/N) likes.

now usually Leo expects that if someone was interested in him, it would be him giving them the gifts as it is customary to do in situations of courtship, however, he was not expecting for himself to be receiving these gifts.

the day they started showing up at his door, he was confused, a little wary, and didn't open the first few for a few days thinking that they were tricks from one of the other hunters, though when he finally got the courage to open up one, it was adorable. A small stuffed bear holding a heart.

after the first one, he opened the rest, finding them to be more adorable than the last, and more kept coming, his shelves in his room eventually filling up with more cute things that his admirer was sending him.

sure he was curious about who was sending them, but he didn't want to pressure them to reveal themselves - well, that was until one day as he was on the way back from helping Joker fix his leg, he saw you.

compared to the others, the god in yellow knew straight away who his little admirer was, as frankly it wasn't that very hard to figure it out when your scent was all over the gift box and the things inside - it smelt vile to him, but yet then again, most humans did to his immortal nose.

though he kept the gifts, storing them who knows where in his yellow robes as they continued to show up at his door, sometimes even at the place where he would sit for dinner they would show up.

though he would've much preferred a fresh human or animal sacrifice, he must admit that at least he was being worshipped.

though what were these lines that the human was sprouting to him?

"They're trying to flirt with you, you overgrown calamari." Burke would say to the god whenever Hastur would ask a question, Burke being the closest thing to a human within the hunter side of the manor, "they like you."

"as a follower?" Hastur didn't exactly understand.

even if he didn't exactly understand the concept of human emotion, you had to admit, being able to ride on his shoulders was something new and exciting, especially since he wasn't attempting to throw you off.

Joseph || The Photographer

similar to Leo, the photographer had been taken aback when presents suddenly started appearing at his doorstep, especially since he preferred the company of himself in the moments he didn't have to talk to other people.

but there was something tender about the little care package that had been left in front of his door that had made the usually prideful and egotistical nobleman's heart melt, especially when he saw the love and care that had been put into it to make it themed after cameras and blue.

but you must remember that Joseph figured out the ways of how to freeze and preserve a moment in time, so he most likely will use it against the secret admirer, and thus he began to take notes of anything similar between events that could help him figure out who it was the next few times this happened.

the presents would arrive at midday sharp, a soft knock on the door, and by the time he would've gotten to his door, the person would be gone - and the next time that the time arrived, the flash of a camera within Joseph's room caught you off guard, causing you to rub your eyes as you attempted to get your bearings.

"Ah, there you are." Being a native french speaker, Joseph's accent was incredibly thick as he spoke, though he didn't stand in front of you- he was behind you. He fingernails gently grazed your cheek as he held your chin, keeping you still.

"I should've taken your most risque courting tactics as a clue of whom was leaving these gifts." He hummed, though as his finger tapped against your cheek, you couldn't help but gulp.

"You've impressed me. But can you court me all the way?"

How the hunters would react to being flashed while kiting

(except for a few)

Assuming you and the hunter already have some amount of mutual tension

NOTE! If u are not pro-tiddies just say you like.smack ur ass at them while running. 

Leo: He simply stands up straight, rubs his forehead and walks away. Not about to deal with this. 

Jack: He keeps up the kite as he normally would, only more amused at your display. If he has the carry emote, he’ll hum a tune for you and quite literally say “you’ll catch a cold, sweetie. Cover up.” Maybe if you’re particularly lucky, he’ll purposely miss a rocket chair to have more time to walk around carrying you.

Michiko: She is taken for surprise by your improper behavior. She’ll switch over to Prajna to escape any intrusive thoughts and easily down you. She’ll hide her face with her fan as you are waiting to be sent back to the Oletus manor. She may bring up your crude deed the next time you meet. Expect a gentle scolding.

Xie Bi’an: Initially, he is shocked. After stunning you with his bell, he kneels down and whispers for you to cover up, playing dirty isn’t fair. He then continues on his chase, trying to shake the rosy pink from his cheeks. Maybe if you’re lucky, he’ll wink as he chairs you. 

Fan Wujiu: His eyebrows furrow and he smirks a bit upon the sight you’re presenting him with. He’ll kite you more vigorously. After inevitably chairing you he’ll say something cheeky. “I’ll let it slide this time, but be careful pulling that stunt again. Wouldn’t want anything to happen to you, dear.” he’ll say with a wink as you return to the manor.

Joseph: He considers this a challenge. Do you really think you can win against Joseph Desaulniers by simply flustering him? Despite being thrown off, he makes a quick recovery. His kiting kicks up a notch in aggressiveness. After terror shocking you, he’ll just look down at you and chuckle darkly. If you fell in a particularly eye catching way, he’ll tease you. “Look at you, putting on such a show for me. You won’t get away with this, Darling.” he continues to tease you in the rocket chair, maybe even prodding you with his sword every now and then.

Hastur: Realistically he doesn’t notice you flashing him. If he notices a bit of sass in your step, he’ll kite you with even more difficulty. Good luck escaping with a master level feaster on your tail. 

Yidhra: (snake lady herself, like if you noticed you were being leeched) she laughs, and spends more of her idle time studying you while her followers do the work. Whether or not you get chaired, she is amused. (Bonus: if her follower saw you, they’d probably be like. sigh. Yidhraaaaa u have a present)

Luchino: He waits to terror shock you to say anything. “Although i appreciate the sentiment, please cover up so i can properly chair you.” He hopes that you’ll be too distracted by being put into a chair to notice the pink dusting his cheeks.

Mary: Mary dips an eyebrow at your futile attempt to distract her. She’s the queen! You think your curves can impress her? You’ll have to try harder, she boasts. It’s impossible to miss the ever present smirk and show of amusement though. If she deems you worthy, she’ll invite you to speak sometime. She will warn you to not try your luck at flashing any of the other hunters.

Ann: Oh man. Ann is a woman of the lord! She is embarrassed for you. She simply decides to walk away and find someone else to kite. Too much to process. (im sorry ann simps qwq)

Antonio:   Being the gentleman he is, he will make an attempt to avert his eyes. He’s no pervert! If you throw him a wink, he will grow a bit red in the face, but he will try his best to continue kiting you. Maybe after the match he’ll pull you aside to chat. (He’ll likely scold you for your unfair and reckless behavior)

A/N:  Sooo... this came out of nowhere, but it’s grown-up Leo. He’s twenty-fourish (math is hard) and working as an RN.  None of the kids are living at home in this one-shot.This is just Beck and Leo in this one-shot and no Bucky. Mother’s day 2047

It was the first Mother’s Day in, God, Y/n can’t remember how long it’s been, twenty-five years? Yeah, that sounds about right. The first Mother’s day in twenty-five years that she’s had to spend alone. Of course, the last time she spent this day alone, she didn’t have three beautiful children and a loving husband. It was merely another day amongst the rest that had seemed to blend together. Then she met Orion and Bucky. Suddenly, it was no longer ‘just another day’ and it became one of her most favorite days of the year. Still is, despite waking up to an empty house this morning.

Bucky hadn’t wanted to leave her home alone this morning. He tried everything he could to get out of work, but he couldn’t find anyone to cover his shift. On top of working the entire day leading up, they needed Bucky to fill in for someone else for half the day, and her kids?

Well, they are all grown up and have lives of their own.

Orion is in California, something they all had to get used to long before this morning. It wasn’t so bad. Flights aren’t awful and they are making use of their frequent flyer miles. Leo took it the hardest. They make it work. Whatever it takes for Orion to be happy and she’s the happiest she’s ever been. They have Theo to thank for that. So, California isn’t so bad.  Since she can’t be there in person, there was a sweet text from Orion, when Y/n woke this morning and later that night they have a FaceTime date after Y/n’s Mother’s Day dinner this evening at someplace the kids picked out as a surprise. Cassie’s classes are taking a lot out of her semester, and after listening to her apologize for nearly an hour, Y/n told her daughter to stay home and get some studying in before they meet at six. Despite the agreement, Cassie made sure to shower Y/n’s social media with more posts than necessary to show her affection for her mother.

As for Leo, well, he had been tight-lipped about his plans for this morning. Y/n suspects it’s because of a pretty girl, but she would wait for Leo to come talk to her about whatever has been keeping him so busy, a girl or not. He always does.

Y/n slowly peels herself out of bed to shower and throws on an old pair of jeans and loose-fitting white scoop neck shirt. No need to dress up today. Her only plans consist of those large comfy pillows piled on the couch and one of her books. Maybe Star Lore. It’s one of her daughter’s favorites afterall.  Y/n reaches the bottom of the stairs, and she comes to a halt when she spots the tall, dark-haired man standing at the stove.

This is unexpected.

Leo peeks over his shoulder when he hears the squeaky stair and grins at the sight of his mother’s shock.  “Mornin’, mama. Pancakes should be ready any minute. Got you some tea, or there’s a pot of coffee ready if you want it.“

"I– Morning, baby.”

Y/n’s gaze shifts from her son to the kitchen island where her galaxy mug is resting, along with two place settings and a huge bouquet of pink star lilies. She sits down at the counter and grins at the flowers in front of her. There’s a card that she will read later because Leo can sometimes get a little shy when he’s in the spotlight like that. One thing he does not share with Cassie. Leo flicks the stove off and turns around to stack two fresh lemon pancakes on her plate, Y/n eyes her son carefully as he sits down beside her.

This has Bucky written all over it.

“Did your father put you up to this?”

Leo chuckles but shakes his head.

“No, dad mentioned he had to work till noon because of some extra shift when I talked to him yesterday, and I didn’t want you home alone. I hate when you have to sit here all alone on a normal day, so I wasn’t about to let it happen today.”

He leans over the small between them and presses a kiss to her cheek. Y/n smiles and strokes his scruff covered cheek affectionately.

“My sweet boy. Always looking out for me.“

Leo groans at the soft tone in her voice but keeps his smile. “Don’t tell anyone, okay?” 

“I won’t say a word,“ Y/n chuckles. Leo’s teasing her, and she knows that. Leo’s never minded anyone seeing his affection for her or his sisters. He loves his family and doesn’t care who knows, something he learned from watching Bucky love on his family over the years.

“So.” Y/n tests as she picks up her fork.

“So,” Leo repeats, cautiously.

“How’s work? Oliver mentioned something to Steve about some girl you’ve been gushing about non-stop.”

"Ollie is a dead man,” Leo grumbles under his breath and drops his fork to his plate, “Ma. No. She’s… I don’t– We are just friends. Let’s talk about you today. Meet anyone new? Take anyone out on a date? Do I get two Christmases? Let me be the one to break it to Cassie. She won’t handle it well.“  

Y/n snorts and shakes her head. “You really want to hear about my last date? Well, we were going to go to dinner, but you know your dad. We never made it out the front door–”

With his own joke turned back around on him, Leo shudders and quickly shakes his head, regarding her with pleading eyes. “Please, no. Don’t. It’s bad enough you guys are all over each other all the time. I don’t want to hear about it.”

“That will teach you to tease your mother.”

“Trust me, it won’t happen again.”

Leo jabs his stack of lemon pancakes with his fork and tilts his head to the side, staring at the cup of coffee in front of him with a furrowed brow. Y/n lets him sit like that for a while before she steps in and ensures nothing more serious is going on.

“You okay sweetheart?”

His head jerks up at the sound of her voice, and Leo smiles, “Yeah, mama. Just thinkin’.”

“About the girl, you most certainly don’t have a crush on?”

Leo makes a face, showing a playful defeat and hangs his head.

“Yeah, I might be thinking about her.”

Y/n leans back against her chair and waits, letting him come to it in his own time. He’s a lot like Orion in that way, and they both get it from Bucky. No one can push them to say what’s in their head or on their hearts.

“If, uh, let’s just say there’s this girl. She’s smart. So smart, mama and God, is she pretty. Ballsy and has a quick wit. I’m pretty sure she only sees me as a friend, and I’ve been tryin’ to show her she’s not just some girl. I want her to be the girl. I don’t know. I get around her, and I don’t know what comes over me. Maybe I’m missin’ the mark ‘cause I don’t think she even sees me.”

Leo looks over at his mom, and she grins. His face heats up, and he clears his throat, awkwardly stuttering, “I mean, hypothetical… if that was somethin’ that was happening. To Ollie. Not to me��� What, uh, what would you tell him?”

Y/n leans forward and covers Leo’s hand with her own. “Ollie? You mean the same Ollie that has been in love with Ariel Tucker since he was seven years old and proudly announced he would marry her one day? If he was struggling to admit his crush?”  

He grinned sheepishly and nodded. 

“Uh, Yes?”  

Y/n had to hold back her laughter. Okay, if he wasn’t ready to admit she wouldn’t force him.

“I guess I would tell him… I would say don't worry about her noticing you. She sees you, sweetheart. You’ve got my eyes and your daddy’s charm. Not the mention that kind heart you wear on your sleeve and give so freely. Trust me, she sees you. Tell her how you feel. Tell her everything you told me.”

Leo’s brow furrows. “That’s it? Just tell her?”

“Surprisingly simple, isn’t it?”

 Y/n grins.

“Ask her out, baby. Make sure she knows it’s a date and be very honest with her.”

“You mean Ollie ask her out?”

Y/n smiles. 

“Yes, tell Oliver I said, tell her how you feel before she thinks you don’t feel anything at all.”

“That what dad did?”

Y/n snorts and gives his hand one last squeeze before letting go. “Let’s just say if we both had been more direct, you probably would have been born a few months earlier.”

Leo cringes and waves his hands back forth to stop any further talk of… this. “Gross. Please stop.”

She can’t help but laugh at her son’s unenthusiastic response. He drops his hands into his lap and stares up at the ceiling, whispering, “You, uh, you really think it will be that easy?”

“I have a feeling about this one, sweetheart. Trust me.”  

He does trust her. The same way the girls do. The same way they all trust Bucky. Leo drops his gaze and meets her eyes, cracking that charming Barnes grin and asks, “I know everyone isn’t here, and Ollie’s girl trouble took up most of breakfast but is it a good Mother’s Day mornin’, mama?”

“Yeah, sweetheart. It was a perfect morning.”

And I tried my best finding lore on him so it may not be the best since I don't know too much about him, and the Wikipedia wasn't giving me much

Trigger warning: Angst, mentions of drinking, suicide

✧ After being betrayed by his friend, his wife cheating and then stealing all of his possessions, Leo grew to have a lot of trust issues.

Not knowing if anyone was truly nice or if they just wanted to use him again, just like the ones he cared about did.

It's not like Leo doesn't want to find someone else to care about, but he's been hurt too bad and he has a daughter that comes first.

Which is something Martha really should've thought about.

✧ Leo tried his best to work off the debts, of course, but no amount of jobs could help him in time to get those bills paid off.

It was either eat or continuously work and work, which is why he needed to send Lisa to the orphanage, it was the only way she could have a good life.

Only if it was just a fragment of one, it was enough.

✧ Drinking did become a habit to distract Leo from everything, but it only made things so much.

Made him reliant on it to make the pain go away.

And might have been what influenced that big decision that would ultimately change his life, or end it.

✧ Even in his dying moments, Leo still kept thinking about Lisa in his thoughts.

He just wanted her to have a good life, without him, and even though that thought alone hurt him so much, he assumed it would be for the best.

It wasn't until the flames started to kiss his skin, did he regret this choice, but not because of the pain.

But because he couldn't see his child one last time.

And the next time they meet, is not ideal, nor does he even know it's her.

I had to play a lot off of the actual lore, so this just seems like a more dramatic version of his story to me, but I hope you enjoy.

A lot of the time the three of you spend together is Leo dragging you and Izumi along for his shenanigans. Whether it’s whisking you two off to look at his new compositions, or just taking you both to a new place he’d been dying to go. There’s hardly any downtime, but he makes it worth your while. Plus, you have Izumi alongside you!

Leo is more outwardly affectionate, and Izumi is more affectionate in private. Izumi doesn’t mind giving you a quick kiss or holding your hand in public, but Leo is all over you. Laughing and kissing your forehead, or giving you a rib-crushing hug, he is unashamedly affectionate. But make sure to pay a little attention to Izumi as well, lest he feel a bit neglected—as much as he’ll deny it.

Hearing Leo and Izumi’s banter is part of the fun in your relationship. Never a dull moment, not with them. A lot of the times, you’ll find yourself in the middle of a lighthearted disagreement, it’s humorous, really. For example: Leo thinking die hard is a Christmas movie, Izumi thinking it’s not. Whoever you don’t agree with may pout for a bit, but it’s nothing a headpat and a kiss can’t fix.

The two of them are sort of like curious kittens—always wondering about you and staring in awe at whatever you’re doing. They’re always asking questions in regards to your hobbies and your daily activities, the brightest glint in their eyes and smiles on their faces. You may have to stop yourself from audibly cooing at how adorable their expressions are. They can’t really help it, they just care a lot about you, and want to learn as much as they can!

Really, they’re head over heels for you. Anyone can see how they fawn over you, and try to help you out any way they possibly can. Anyone who wants to mess with you, has to go through them first! They love you, they love you, they love you. They’ll say it a million times, as well. Truly, they’re whipped. And the balance is wonderful, between Izumi’s calm beauty and Leo’s upbeat adorableness. You get variety, and two amazing boys at your beck and call as well. <3
