Teach you how to choose myopia glasses lenses
Tumblr media
The lens is also called the mirror core. It is suitable for being clamped in the frame, so it is called the mirror core. Its form can be horizontal or vertical, and it is a simple and convenient installation style. Lenses can be divided into four types according to different materials: resin lenses, special lenses, space lenses, and glass lenses.
Which lenses are best for myopia glasses? Not everyone is suitable for myopia surgery, so wearing glasses is still the main method for correcting myopia for many people. What materials are myopia spectacle lenses made of? To compare which lens is the best for myopia spectacles, you need to first understand what types of myopia spectacle lenses are available.
Myopia glasses material
The types of myopia spectacle lenses can be divided into inorganic materials and organic materials in terms of materials used. From the development of myopia spectacle lenses, they can be divided into natural crystal lenses, optical glass lenses, and optical resin lenses. Eye experts point out that the best myopia spectacle lenses are the lenses that can best protect your eyes while correcting myopia.
Which lenses are best for myopia glasses?
Which lens is best for myopia glasses needs to be considered from three aspects: imaging effect, whether it prevents eye fatigue, and whether it protects against harmful ultraviolet rays. Studies have found that crystal sheets cannot effectively protect against ultraviolet rays, and there are many natural minerals and impurities in them, and the optical imaging effect is not good.
They have been basically eliminated now; glass lenses are not enough to protect against ultraviolet rays and can only protect against 350nm, and the wavelength of ultraviolet rays is 295nm. -380nm; resin lenses may protect against UV rays between 350nm and 380nm (some can also protect against UV rays above 380nm). Of course, there are many kinds of films to choose from. After the film is added, it can increase the surface hardness of the lens and prevent eye fatigue and other functions.
Glass lenses and resin lenses
Currently, the most commonly used myopia spectacle lenses on the market include glass lenses and optical resin lenses. Glass lenses have high hardness and good wear resistance. Generally, their quality and parameters will not change over time. Resin lenses are divided into spherical lenses and aspherical lenses according to type. Compared with spherical lenses, aspherical lenses have smaller peripheral differences, see more realistically, and are more beautiful to wear; and the higher the refractive index, the thinner the lens and the higher the hardness. Since resin lenses are much lighter than glass lenses, have better UV protection, and have better impact resistance than glass lenses, optical resin lenses are better and suitable for teenagers, people with high refractive errors and athletes.
The quality of glasses mainly depends on the lenses
The quality of glasses mainly depends on the lenses, while the price of glasses mainly depends on the frames. Therefore, the quality of myopia glasses is not directly proportional to the price. People with myopia should not be greedy for cheap and buy glasses casually, nor should they blindly seek high prices to wear unsuitable glasses. They should go to a professional eye hospital or institution for examination and wear glasses that are suitable and cost-effective based on their own eye conditions.
How to choose spectacle lenses for myopia? When wearing spectacles for myopia, the lenses will greatly affect the future vision of the eyes and will also have a corresponding protective effect on the eyes. So how should I choose lenses? Choose lenses based on factors such as their basic material and performance. When choosing lenses, you should consider various factors such as the suitability of the power and self-fitness to choose the right lenses.

Respectful engagement of material includes constructive dialogue. Critical commentary doesn't necessitate a negative tone. Evaluating where something can be improved can represent a positive and happy perspective toward source material.

Scientists create the thinnest lens on Earth, enabled by excitons
Lenses are used to bend and focus light. Normal lenses rely on their curved shape to achieve this effect, but physicists from the University of Amsterdam and Stanford University have made a flat lens of only three atoms thick that relies on quantum effects. This type of lens could be used in future augmented reality glasses. Curved-glass lenses work because light is refracted (bent) when it enters the glass, and again when it exits, making things appear larger or closer than they actually are. People have used curved lenses for more than two millennia to study the movements of distant planets and stars, to reveal tiny microorganisms, and to improve vision. Ludovico Guarneri, Thomas Bauer, and Jorik van de Groep of the University of Amsterdam, together with colleagues from Stanford University in California, took a different approach. Using a single layer of a unique material called tungsten disulfide (WS2 for short), they constructed a flat lens that is half a millimeter wide, but just 0.0000006 millimeters, or 0.6 nanometers, thick. This makes it the thinnest lens on Earth.

No hate I’ve just got like.. The absolute polar opposite opinion. I tend to be less into high fantasy where gods are confirmed Real with little to no room for interpretation because of the way it often sets up dichotomies of like, the Correct/Good belief systems vs the Wrong/Bad belief systems. If gods are observably materially real with exact specific natures and correct interpretations, it just kind of Adds limitations that would not otherwise exist, and a lot of the times results in worlds that feel flat and lacking in diversity. I think this framework can be perfectly fine for fantasy but approaching it with the exact same lack of nuance I'm talking about lends to executions that are reductive at BEST.
Part of why I’m into the hard realism no canon magic/supernatural fantasy is because of how much freedom it gives to explore the full spectrum of belief systems. There's nothing about this framing that prevents you from treating belief systems in a thoughtful and serious manner, and if anything it's a better framework to explore the full implications and effects on reality of religious belief (because In Real Life religion is a personal/cultural lens to subjective reality and has profound societal effects without people having Empirically Provable interactions with deities or etc). And tbh I feel like thinking that having a religion be Canon Reality in a setting is the only way for beliefs to not be treated as Stupid just kind of loops back around into treating religious belief as Being Stupid (ie: it's only NOT stupid when it's a materially provable aspect of reality)
I think you can have a setting that embraces the idea of a religion people believe in by simply having a setting that embraces the idea of a religion people believe in. You know?

The rise of "let people enjoy things" is single handedly the backbone of the rise of anti intellectualism
#i need to talk about this#disclaimer : im beyond terrible at putting my point across#so with that being said let me attempt at it#let's take look at the hate and misogyny women receive for liking a certain genre of books#that is so often simply countered with let people enjoy things#but we cannot let that narrative take over a whole as if critical thinking is “bad”?#booktok has made it so that disliking a popular books makes you the person with the superiority complex who should just let people enjoy-#-things#but when did criticizing actively target audiences who like that peice of literature? When did that become the narrative?#its all mindless consumption without a second thought to the actual material which can easily be credited to the tropification of books#the enemies do turn into lovers and the best friends do fall in love 10 years down the line#classifying books into tropes and then fulfilling that promise gives books an illusion of being “good” since it checks those boxes-#-that the reader picked up the book for in the first place#the act of reading has kind of been substituted by the act of being a reader and just owning stacks of books#we have turned away from any form of analysis or criticism#if it scratches the itch then its automatically the perfect book without further thought#i cant help but contribute the mere existence of that “itch” to how mordern books are classified into tropes with set plotlines#intelligenctualism is almost always looked at as elitism#reading only classics doesn't make you an intellectual individual but looking at any book with a critical lens may it be a classic or a rom#-com does#criticizing certain aspects of your absolute favorite books is intellectualism and not bullying people who like anything but classics#that distinction is so far lost in translation that talking about how a popular book is objectively bad is being a “hater”#well then im a hater#this is not a hate post for people who actively enjoy booktock or the more popular books#im just trying to introduce any amount of nuance into the conversation thats all#i can honestly go on forever but i think ill end my ranting here#literary criticism#literature#books#anti intellectualism
